It is the year 51 P.I.(Post Imperium), 51 years since King Marygos Celestius the Blessed unified the petty human kingdoms into one large empire, to be able to resist the combined incursions of the orcs, dwarves, gnoll and centaur armies into his own kingdom. Marygos, takes charge of an army of 70.000 humans soldiers, 20.000 allied orcish soldiers and 10.000 elven archers and mages to face an army of 50.000 dwarves, 30.000 orcs, 20.000 gnolls and 20.000 centaurs.

After three days of fighting, Marygos is defeats the invading army and returns back to his kingdom, proclaiming the orcish Kranos Clan - who had contributed the 20.000 orcs - and the elven city-state of Meridias eternal allies of the Human Empire. Marygos ruled until 48 P.I. and made the Human Empire the strongest force in the world, however, his son, would almost break that empire apart.

In the summer of 32 P.I, the young king Malum Celestius took the throne of the empire and vowed on his coronation day that "He would bring all that stood beneath the sun under his rule of the empire." and ordered the raising of four massive armies, one would each go in one cardinal direction and conquer everything in it's path. King Malum appointed Chief Garamash of the Kranos tribes at the head of the the Western Army counting 70.000 human soldiers, 50.000 hobgoblins, 35.000 orcs and 20.000 gnollish allies. At the head of the Southern Army, he appointed his younger brother Prince John Celestius, an army counting 80.000 human soldiers, 40.000 hobgoblins, 20.000 orcs and 10.000 centaur allies. At the head of the Eastern Army, he appointed Elwin Loralana, king of Meridias, leading a force of 65.000 human soldiers, 35.000 elven archers and mages, 20.000 gnoll allies and 15.000 orc soldiers. Lastly, Emperor Malum himself led the Northen army, a massive force of 140.000 human soldiers, 100.000 hobgoblins, 80.000 orcs, 60.000 gnolls and 20.000 elven mages and archers.

The expanse in the south went perfectly for Prince John, as his armies, defeated the various gnollish clans and even took some of them in his army when they pleaded to him. The first true army he met was part of an orcish confederation of clans forming 80.000 orcs, 120.000 hobgoblins and 100.000 goblins. He proved his military genius by being able to envelop the army who was two times his own and killing all, he then moved further to besiege the city of these orcs, however, news arrived of disaster within the Eastern Army and the Northen Army. The prideful king Elwin was seemingly able to rout a combined force 50.000 gnolls and 25.000 centaurs, only to find himself ambushed by another force 50.000 gnolls on his flanks and his army nearly destroyed, only 4.000 men escaping.

In the north however, the disaster was even worse than before. At first, king Malum and his army swept aside all opponents and conquered many cities of various species. However, without realizing, he approached the territory of the legendary dragon Sssalivan, a dragon the size of a mountain and the entire army was beset by not only Sssalivan himself, but hundreds of smaller dragons and wyverns, completely destroying the human army and killing Malum himself, leaving the path open for all the enemies of the humans to descend from the north.

Hearing of this disaster, Prince John, now turned king, raced with his army north to protect from the incoming invasion and asked Chief Garamash, who had been expanding outwardly west, to come forsake his conquerings and come protecting the two lands who were now beset on all four sides by large armies of various species, from orcs, to dwarves, to gnolls, to even some elves.

However, King John knew that he wouldn't be able to prevent humanity from collapse for long and gathered his advisors... all who told him of three magical weapons called the Universal Weapons, weapons capable of destroying armies and even cities in one swing. With no troops to spare himself, King John, granted amnesty to criminals who would try to find these swords and hired many a mercenaries and adventurers and even the son of Garamash to help him in his conquests.

Here begins your quest, you have been placed in a small band of adventurers tasked with finding the Universal Weapon Earthrent, a sword, as it's name suggests capable of controling the earth and rumored to be able to rend the planet apart with it's sheer strength.
