Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?
Bio
I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.
Characters
Name:Aurora Lorell
Quote:"One should never fear the dark. Just enjoy the light you have left."
Alias: Nevermore Age: 24 Gender: female Notoriety: Missing Level: yellow Family: Father: Rick Lorell, Mother: Sarah Lorell Occupation: Horse trainer and retired Olympic rider.
Appearance:
Aurora is seen to be a beauty. With a lean build and fair skin standing in at around 5,2. Her eyes are what really set her apart besides the snowy form. Red and clouded as though in a veil of mist she almost always keeps them closed due to being bullied as a child. Many saying they are unnerving to look at.
Method of Operation: No one knows that its truly her. Those that have gained her help have only seen the creatures that she calls forth. Usually beasts from mythology that have few features. If shes forced to be seen she stays silent, trying to keep her age and gender a secret. If anyone found out who she was, the world would find out everything about her in minutes. Instead she uses her tour as a way to keep her location foggy. Being a world and Olympic rider, she has been to all corners of the world. Each one earning a job or two from her. Her method of transportation is a horse she had conjured herself, what she sees as the only link one could give her. Still she reminds herself that she should never get involved with things too big, but the chance to use her abilities has always been too tempting.
Superpower: Aurora has the ability to conjure beasts from stories she has read or been told. Using a leather bound journal as a catalyst to recite the right lines to call forth her companions. She found that the larger impact a story holds to her, the easier it is to call her creatures. Though strange enough she has found that it is more difficult to create that which is already in this world. Being able to make a wraith she has massive difficult in creating a bird. Many would think this ability is limitless. Sadly Aurora must read or hear the tale in which her conjure is being made from. Even than she can't always make them unless it had a impact on her in some way. Because of this she has a habit of asking others for stories. Any kind hoping that she could advance her abilities further. Her biggest weakness is that this only works when she has a sound mind and when the book is open. Growing up taming thousand pound animals has made her difficult to frighten. But if she falls pray to fear, the companions she had called would turn on her. If her book is closed her train of thought would break, causing the creatures to disperse and leave her side.
Skills: an amazing horse back rider, her hearing is better than most. Memory is above average. Shes been told that her voice is rather calming due to her nature. Shes also had a good chance of catching a lie so long as it's spoken.
Equipment: Book of tales.
Every story is written in Braille. Because of this she keeps it hidden from view and no one has yet to look through it's pages. If someone found out what was inside than the trail would be short in finding out that Aurora is the owner.
Personality: Aurora is a seeker of knowledge. Someone who needs to know things small and large. Heavy and light. This was due to the fact that she was born blind, growing up with being sheltered and lead around she found herself growing tired of the treatment quickly. Even though she would have a pilot smile when someone offers to take her hand or tell her where something is, she would find herself loathing on the inside. Wanting to be as independent as she can be. Pushing herself to be better at what she dose to prove to those around her that she dose not need her eyes in order to live her life. She thinks that many who help her do it not for herself, but so they could feel better. Thinking that they would be a hero for a small moment, she can not stand the thought of being a tool used in someone's self need to feel important. And thus it has only added to her independence.
Yet even with the quite demands of independence, Aurora is a calming presence. Soft spoken shes not one to raise her voice. When it comes to her friends, she is usually the one to end a fight with words alone. Comforting others when they are in need not using sayings of encouragement, but sitting at their side in silence. She had an interesting habit though. When in good company she tends to speak in riddles, thinking that it's due to the stories she obsesses over, she tries her best to keep it under wraps. Even so, those who she calls friends will tell her she slipped back into her odd way of speaking. Her greatest fear is being in absolute silence, she also tends to tap her finger on her cane. Sound is her greatest asset and without it she turns into a shell of her usual self. Fumbling over words and sometimes not able to use her powers safely.
Biography: Aurora was born into the business of horses. Her father a trick rider and her mother a cross country racer, the two were a power house in the equestrian world. Before she was even born they were getting her ready with what style and what horse she would ride, only for their dreams to be crushed when they saw her for the first time. A tiny albino who's retinas never even developed leaving her blind.
Yet that did not stop the girl from living up to her family's potential. She became connected with the animals that her family made a living from. Every fall she went through, she would stand from, no injury would ever scare her away. The feeling of power a horse would give was too great to leave. Where in any other situation she would be led around and treated like a child. In the arena she was expected to handle things herself and for once she herself could be the leader. At age six she was competing in not only trick riding, but cross country and dressage. Having a love for the stories that her mother would read her. Aurora began to print Braille in her own journal, often reading them out loud to her horse. After all, he was the only one that could deal with a 13 year old speaking for hours at a time. Sleeping in the stalls with her books clutched in hand the journal only grew thicker, and heavier. Till eventually the words she recited caused the animal to spook. Thrashing in the box and causing her to scramble out, screams of rage and fear ringing through the stable. Before she knew it her parents were at her side, asking her what was wrong yet whatever had caused the damage was gone. Again and again it had happened, each time with her reading. Its taken her two full months to find out that the cause of her horse’s spooking was the conjuration of creatures from her own words. Her own abilities.
Another idea that she could gain independence she began to work. Conducting experiments to figure out the rights and wrongs of her abilities. Its taken her years to find things out on her own. By the time she was 17 she was a competitor in the Olympics. Finally a chance where she was away from those who thought she needed them. All she needed was her book and her cane. Once walking through the stable halls at night. Checking her companion to make sure their first run in the Olympics would be fine. Yet as she opened the door she found something was wrong. Her stallion named Beauty in a Shadow, was gone.
Her first thought was to contact the security to find him. Fear gripping her mind she could still remember the sweat that ran down her palms as she gripped her cane. Yet when she clicked it on the stone ground she made up her mind. Her book in hand she ran her finger across the pages. "With eyes made for night, and fire as fierce as a devil's light. He tracked down hunters of his land. And made them swear he could never stand." The sound of light feet pattering next to her she found a smile on her lips when the sound of a ragged fox was found at her side. To her eyes there was blank. Yet to anyone who saw it was a fox with two tails, told in Japanese lore to be the devil in a different skin, with eyes of lit green and a scroll strapped to it's back. "Find Beauty." It was all she said, and it was all she needed to. That night she took matters into her own hands as the fox lead her through the halls. Away from the stable and out to the parking lot to hear the half drugged screams of her stallion.
That night something snapped, she no longer used her abilities to gain a smile, as she called forth a crimson wraith from the tale "a wife in the bog." The gut wrenching shrieks and screams rang true to her ears. the creature she chosen playing on their fear, having them see a different story as it led them away, leaving her stallion. Yet her story, while seeming to end at a good note. Her stallion back in safety and ready to ride again. The next morning she found herself plastered in headlines, she had been accused of being a variant right before she road into the arena. By the very humans who tried to steal her companion.
She left after that, the heart warming tale of Aurora Lorell that was supposed to end in happiness was forever marred with slander. She left her home that same week, taking her savings and her reputation to find a place that would somehow accept her. It was a man named Damion who became her salvation. He had property for horses and knew nothing of them, or cared for them. She had passion and a wish for a new place to stay. Fallen from grace, Aurora now runs Beauty ranch. She keeps her head down and work professional, training horses that seem untouchable. Yet even with this new start that she still embraces at age 24, she finds herself still heart broken over the family that she left behind. Wanting nothing more than to be thought of as human again. A wish so great that she refuses to ever show her ability to anyone again. That is unless she has her mask, some things you just can't give up.

Extra:
A friesian stallion who she named Loki as a barn name he was registered as Beauty in Shadow.
Personality: A quiet soul who files down his horns and keeps a hood over his head. Tasar is someone who usually keeps to himself when it comes to relationships of any kind. But helping a stranger in need he'll do without a word. A kind spirit and extremely knowledgeable in the art of survival, his voice barely rises above a soft tone as though he is trying not to scare anyone away. He can be awkward at times though, with such a cross in species nobles have often tried to gain him in their company. Standing almost 6 ft with elven features and stunning eyes caused him to be the focus of very unwanted attention.
Other: He's a ranger of sorts, the ability to survive on his own in the wilds for lifetimes was gained from childhood. And due to some unknown history, he has an extensive knowledge in not dragon history or lore, but in their make up. How they live and thrive as though they were on the same level as a Hert.
Personality: A powerful creature and one who wears her heritage with pride. Holding her head up high the woman is seen to be an intimidating sight. Standing at a head taller than most males, with a gaze that would silence most cocky attitude. She's cut throat, one who works till the job is done and has determination for her own values that would cause some to think she had Dwarven blood in her veins at one point. She'll lay her life down for another without a second thought. Though she has met few that could best her in battle when she's armed.
Other: Like Tasar, Xathina knows more about dragons than most and is extremely tight lipped as to why.

History
Reena grew up in a very loving family. The Durian's owning almost 60 acers of land, they turned it into a whildlife scantuary and reabilitation centre, stationed in the high pass. It was a child's dream, every day she would get to see birds of prey, wolves, big cats, even lions tigers and bears that were taken from illegal trading. It was hard work, her mother would show her how to feed them and there was a million ways to punish a unruly child in such a place. Her parents dotted on her as she was a only child, thinking she would take over the trade due to her absolute passion for animals. She took to horse back riding when she was only four years old, and she would often be seen talking to whatever new beast had been taken in.
When she was five years old however, a storm had swept through Washington. Being so high up, the winds seemed to want to sweep her off the ground as the staff was scrambling to get everything secure and move the animals into the barn. Her father has herded her inside their home, giving her the demand to stay with her dog. The house creaked and thunder boomed, drowning out the yelling when Reena remembered that her horse Roxi had not been fed and that she needed to take care of her. With the naive child determination and her rotwhiler's whimpering, Reena pulled on her pink raincoat and marched out into the pestering rain. No one saw her enter the barn to see her beloved mare, as she was dragging over a flake of hay like it was just another day. The wind had taken it's tool on the barn however, pushing and pulling the old beams until the support buckled and the roof caved in on top of them. Roxi had to be put down, and Reena woke up days later, unable to fee her legs.
Life was very hard for the girl after that. Her cheery loud and demanding personality shifted into a reserved and quiet child. Her head down as she would push through the day, her only comfort was the animals that would lick and nuzzle her, it was always enough to bring a smile to her face. But after the death of her horse, she stopped competing, barely able to ride now without being tied down. Still, her parents were determined to give her a better life and got her into music. Anything to give her confidence, and bit by bit, she broke out of her shell, only to fall back into it when faced with a stranger. She still worked the sanctuary as hard as she could, even taking in a large wolf that was caught roaming the area. Most thinking it should be put down due to how wild the beast was, yet she found a fondness for it, always careful enough to not get bitten.
It was in the middle of the night when she wheeled out to go feed that very wolf that things changed. Meat in hand, she was putting it in the slider when she heard the most vicious sounds of crunching bones and tearing hides. Her eyes wide, she tried her best to get away only to be cornered by a team of werewolf hunters. It only took one to be hungry for her to be found by an old man in the middle of nowhere. Her chair a twisted mess back home while Reena herself was alone, scared and confused.
The man wasn't the one who changed her. A doctor who smelled blood and realized that she was unfairly turned only for her sire to run and leave her her crazed wilds. One of the old mares back home drained of blood, while she hid in a hallowed tree in tears, trying to figure out why she was there or how she got there. It took a long time to coax her out, even longer for him to convince her that she could actually stand on her own. Disbelief and awe was what she was met with, for the first time in a decade, she could stand. He took her in right than and there, promising that if she learned how to control herself, she could one day return to her family. Sending someone to gather her things, Reena found herself being shipped off to the night school, and being thrown in a world she never knew existed.

Advice To The World:If someone takes something from you, make something better. Anything Else: She plays the cello, and has a fear of storms
"Two witchers, and a human swordsman." "Are you kidding me? I swear your a witch yerself."
A smirk appearing on a lad's face, he held out his hand wrapped in leather, expectingly. A cat like gaze as he tilted head head, seeming to grow more an more amused at the look of irritation that was given to him. Sitting at the front of the inn, Anath had been speaking to the keeper for a while now. The smell of ale and wooden seat becoming well known after the years he used them, despite his young appearance.
It was always good to gather information here, this was where all sorts gather, from all kinds of backgrounds. With a little ale to loosen their lips the boy seemed to have found himself a gold mine. One that was soaked in the smell of piss and corpses outside, but a gold mine non the less. Though even with the thought, he saw it as a small sanctuary, one of the many that he would hide in whenever the guards had wanted his head. The owner here had hid him more than once when he was in a tight spot. Nothing a little coin and spoken word couldn't get you in this place of drunken stupors and cards of gwent.
But that was not why she came here. No, not at all, the damn fool, him and his frilly attire. It was not even a day ago when Dijkstra gave her the job. She had just came back from a rough patch with a gang fewed, she now had a bounty on her head, least with them. And he was already asking her to take on another case. But it was not one she could refuse, the temptation was as sweet to her, as wore house was to a drunken swine. So here she was, the appearance of a boy, no older than 15 it seemed, with a cap hiding pointed ears, and placing bets of who would enter the inn. Even though she's been cheating for some time now, the woman already knew who would be coming, she just saw a chance to earn some coin.
Reaching to her shoulder, she gave a rat a small pet, the creature still under her hand. "Why don't you get that vermin out of here?" A roll of her eyes, she took a swig of her drink. "Oh come now, we both know that this little fella is cleaner than half the peasants of Novigrad." She only earned a snort in response, waving him off as he began to warn her. "Best watch what you say round here, don't need you taking your secrets to an early grave."
"I didn't take this job because of the long life expectancy. Go take your wise words and give em to someone who cares about their skin." Another round she downed her drink, acting as if she were just a young boy who for some reason had too much power. Yet under the façade, she kept a ear trained at her back, listing to what the witchers had to say. Dijkstra already gave her a hint on who would be interested in this job, the bastard never just going straight to the point though had caused her to be careful. Never go jumping to conclusions, you'll only get a new rope necklace.
The rat on her shoulder began to climb down her arm, curious eyes and a twitching nose to keep her company, she gave it another pat on it's back, smooth fur under her finger tips, while she waited for them to bring the next move.
so, I'm in a advanced Si Fi class, and the zombie unit just started. So we're in a zombie apocalypse simulator right now and are trying to survive or kill each other.
Turning into Reena now, rode my paint mare to the rallying point and just raided for supplies. Got the most points, but was almost killed. Getting a ton of ideas from this XD
Note to self, do not become a mail person. I will die.
Well than I am happy that Reena helped johnny cause he's actually one of my favourite characters right now. Thats actually a really cool way for you to work though, I never thought about going about a RP like that. I have been known to plan years ahead for my RP's and laugh when I bring forth a twist that I been hinting at for the entire story.
No need to feel bad about rambling, the info I had just been given is now changing the game. Also, drunk rps are so freaking great XD
Thats good to know, makes things a lot easier to take crazy chances than :D
Ooooooouch, dude that sounds like it fucking sucks! How did you get a ton of paper cuts?! If there is one thing I can not stand its a paper cut. Fractured arm I can deal with, dislocated knee I deal with more than I should and I'm find. Paper cut?
"It taste like the forgiven sky fruits." A smirk on her features, Raven began to back off after Ditch snapped at her. She reminded her of Kaite a little, the woman would stay up for days making music and snap at anyone who had the gull to try and remove a instrument from her grasp. Still, she couldn't help but tap her finger against the container, a sound leaving her pocket at the offer. She shouldn't be messing with her in a time like this, she was stressed, they all were. TB and Wraith were snapping at each other, causing the woman to shift a bit, reaching for the book at her side to make sure it was there, and tapping her cane to gain a comforting sound.
Well, least they came to a stand still, a agreement of sorts. Quietly listening to the conversations, she found herself poking Manny away with her cane, trying to figure out if he would drift when she realized that he was using gravity. How one is able to use their powers so casually is beyond her, she was tempted to call the Grim herself though, she wanted something to feel. But the idea of the kid waking up only to see a beast of nightmares was keeping her away from the action.
"I wonder what Umbra is after, he has to have a plan for each vigilant that he's captured. I can only imagine how many super's he's attained incognito....." A shiver running down her spine, she shook her head. "Forgive me, that is a grim topic, I'll grow silent." Her ears turning red underneath her hood, Raven decided to just fumble with her hands. What else was she supposed to do? She can't help the kid other than give money, and there was little she could do with researching, she had no where to start.
TB coming back and explaining how the child had a place to sleep, was enough to get a sigh to escape her. "Thats good..do you need assistance?" Tilting her head, she couldn't help but smile at the mention of a angel. Guess whoever it was, was close to the team-mate, there was a slight fondness in his voice that he couldn't hide.
"Here" pulling out her second phone, she began to share her number. "I'll be ending the line on this one in about a month though. So don't be surprised if it starts working." Only Manny and Ditch had her actual number, tiny steps, one by one. If everyone knew her number she would not have been able to sleep at night. "Your right, I have to be training early tomorrow. I guess everyone's lives are going to be a bit sluggish for a while."
shit I did not mean to write that much....guess I shouldn't listen to the witcher while writing. @Sol Grim tell me if you want me to cut that encase you wanted to drag out the fight. I don't mind, XD
"Like I said, you have my back and I won't care if your the devil himself." Gun fire could be heard for miles. It was a war zone, Roach and Epona ran for the trees, the horses taking cover yet Reena called them back, making sure their means of escape was at the vary least within running range. Their coats already lathered in sweat, pacing the foliage as they awaited their owner. Loyalty and instincts fighting behind the crazed thoughts in their gaze.
Reena's own blood began to run cold at the words. She knew she was going to start killing others, but people she knew? And so soon? Her hands were already stained, her breathing coming out in gasps, but she could not let Johnny fight them off himself. All she could do was nod, putting another bolt in her bow before taking off, her head down and moves quick, her target locked within golden orbs as she dove for the truck they rode in on. There had to be something, anything. She heard a bullet tare through the bed, the ripping of iron causing her heart to jump. Two of her brother's went to war, was this what it was like? If so she was going to have to toughen up. Counting the shots that whizzed by her head, she quickly made a break for it and looked in the bed, grabbing a duffel bag only to feel her arm being dragged by the weight as she almost threw it right out to her side.
If it's heavy, than it's useful. Yet she did not expect to find a bag filled to the brim with guns, more than enough to arm everyone at the farm. They may not be able to reach Rick's closet with the deal crawling about, but this was going to make the trip worth while. A smile on her features she could not help but mentally cheer. That was until she saw a can of blue spray paint roll out of the door. Fear turned to anger when the image of Gandalf appeared in her mind. With his twisted leg and ripped sides, the word whore sprayed into his coat. It was obvious what happened, but she didn't want to think that. With evidence on her side though, she found herself no longer thinking of the fools that shot through the air as human....
About to move again though, slinging the bag over her shoulder she felt something grab her boot, instincts kicking in she smashed the face of a corpse, teeth and gums breaking apart from the force. She couldn't stand still, so with a second wind she ran, grabbing the first gun she could find only to see a semi-automatic riffle lean into her shoulder. "Where the fuck did they get these!?" No time to think on that, only move to her next cover, practically rolling behind another car that sat on a few wooden blocks.
Pulling back she heard the satisfying click of a loaded baby in her hands. She forced herself to calm down, end her breath while she had Ron in her sights, "I'm finishing this before it even starts." Johnny may be a person to cause disdain from normal folk, bit to Reena he was someone who spoke sense. She needed to take care of these guys, they killed her companion, they allowed something useful to meet a horrid end, and he had nothing to do with what she had. She could only imagine their plans they had for her farm....BANG "Mother fucker!!" Clutching her shoulder, Reena bent over in pain for a moment, it was just a graze, yet it tore at the skin causing it to dye her shirt and fire to burn through her vines.
With her mind made up she pulled the trigger, watching the male she once called friend, the one that she would go drink with explode in a shower of crimson, like a fire work lit night. She was slightly sluggish from the wound, but her aim true as walker after walker began to fall around Johnny, she was not letting that guy get eaten, not after he saved her skin. "Returning the favour." She had to admit, while they worked well together, they were as different as night and day when it came to shooting. Reena never wasted a bullet, she had a eye for shots, a gun in her hand since she was a child.
The noise of shooting growing quite, she was found to hear something else instead, moaning that echoed in the valley they were in. It was like a harmonized choir of nightmare. "We gotta go!" She had some weapons, her horses were still close by, and when she looked at the house, it was nothing but a moving mass of the dead.
As fast as she could with the weight, she ran, a white box with a cross on it causing her to bend in her run and snatch it up before making her way to Johnny, sweat dripping from her brow and breath having to be painfully pushed from her lungs. She did not speak, only shove the riffle in his hands and grab his arm. Every second they could get away was needed, so she even helped him mount up faster, slapping Roach's hide to get him moving before jumping to Epona's back and catching up easily.
Her seat elevated she clung to the mare's sides, leaning into her neck, her gaze focused only on what lay before her. Her back ached with the weight of the bag, and it shown, but she did not slow until they climbed a ways up. Roach following after the red head, fear pushing him that it would have taken a bit of force to get him to stray from her.
The sounds of the dead began to pass as they went to an abandoned trail, she remembered this trail, it was one that overlooked the city. Often she used it to see the Petersons to make sure they were okay. It used to be such a calming ride, but now it was hellish. For the view that the opening in the trees, the overhang of grass that provided the best resting spot to see the city caused a chill to run down her spine.
the city was in smoke, a war zone lay before her, it looked like a bad dream, one of ashes that threatened to black out the sky. "Its all gone, that place is nothing but a grave yard now." She could hear the sounds of helicopters hovering over, yet as one strayed to close she watched in horror as it was shot down, exploding in a inferno. "There's no way James's mom got out....or Kaite, jess, Keenin... No way we can get supplies from there for a while." She shook her head, running a hand through the red mane that seemed to catch fire in setting sun. Blood was splattered on her face, her shoulder seeming to have been grazed by something, it all caused a thought to rise to her mind. Anything to ease her ill train.
"How bout this, we get home, we get a drink, maybe eight. And I get a bath." Epona snorting was enough to cause the woman to smile a little, yet it was a bitter sweet thing. She just killed her friends, and for what? A few guns, after they had killed Gandalf. "They were the ones that painted my horse, so...thanks, for the help, not many out there that are willing to do what you did and it vary well may have saved my life."
Opening the bag she gave out a whistle, yeah, there was a lot. They had to have cleaned out the gun shop before anyone else, or killed anyone that had gotten there before them. "Why don't you take one before the others, think of it as payment, besides, I'm good with just a bow, less recoil."
Even as she spoke, she could not stop shaking. She never even noticed it but after the shock of killing her old friends, running from the dead and getting shot. She began to slow, feeling as if her body was made of lead and ice had been poured over her back.
Binds her chest, has a belt covered in pouches. Wears thick padded elk hide boots and a messenger boy hat. Stands in at 5,2 and her cloths are actually rather patchy and worn. Hair short and red, with hazel eyes.
Name: Anath (birth name, Namina) Age: has no idea, but thinks shes in her 30s Race: elf Nationality: No idea Personality: Anath is someone who enjoys playing games. A need for knowledge she is quick to adapt to environment, and act on what would be the best for her personal interests. She's never been one to sugar coat things. She will call people out, so long as she knows she can make a quick escape. Breaking through locked doors, stealing jewels and exploring the cities are her pass times. Often climbing to the roof tops to enjoy her time alone, a book open on her lap, and a stick of charcoal bringing out her thoughts.
Though she is actually far more intelligent with mathematics and history. She never lets it on, instead to save her own skin she dresses herself as a young boy. Finding that there are many people who treat her better because of appearance alone. "Folk tend to take a boy more seriously than a woman when in this line of work." She's not someone to loath or love someone based on race. If a witcher came through her doors offering help. She would take it, she knows she can't afford to turn down a hand that she can trust. She treats any lord or lady the same as she would a peasant, if your useful than your a friend. If not, than you won't even gain a second glance.
Flaws/Weakness: She's hopeless in close range combat, her small stature has made her rely on speed and reflexes. But if her opponent grabbed her she is done for. Telling the truth often gets her into trouble, saying the wrong thing to the wrong person. Sometimes, too trusting, giving help to the wrong person. Is not the best with team work ever since her brother was killed. Lashes out when cornered. Will usually run from battle. Seen as a cowered.
Strengths: Quick/agile she is as sure footed on the city roof tops as she is in the streets. A good sneak, and a good thief. knowledgeable in history, mathematics, and basic alchemy, she always has a thirst for knowledge, is good with animals. Weapon of choice is a dagger and cross bow and is a semi good shot.
Powers: Closest thing she can call a power, is that she is still alive.
Anath was given to an orphanage as a baby. Growing up with the other children she had to learn how to be tough and make her own way. No one was going to just take in a kid, not in these times. So she learned, and learned quick. She saw the adults and how they were beaten by guards, she saw how the older kids would pick pocket the nobles so they could feed themselves. Watching is what gave her the ability to survive, watching and a lot of trial and error.
It was not a pleasant learning experience. She has been beaten, she has been humiliated, she was thrown into prison more times than she could count. But each failure gained a lesson, every time someone locked the door behind her she perfected her craft in opening it. Each time someone reached out to hit her she had to learn how to run away. She was only around 12 when she found herself a partner. Kind of an older brother by the name of Sam who worked with a group of theives. He was kind, a smile offered when she had tried her hardest. But slacking off had caused her to sleep in the cold streets, he helped her. He taught her the social standings that she had not known, he shown her how to read, how to shoot, and basic combat even with her small size. But was the reading that she really stuck to, she would break into the library almost every night just so she could sneak a book, read a message, decode documents to see the standings or alliances waning or plots of assassinations. She knew she was learning things that could get her killed. But she just could not stop the thrill, she actually liked the idea that someone was out to get her. It made her feel important, it made it feel as though she were a threat, that someone out there was listening and fearing.
It did not take many more years for her feminine side to show. And she began to realize that she was getting away with more, but she was also loosing respect. Sam coming up with the idea to dress her as a boy, she changed her name from Namina, to Anath, never answering to her old name again. It became apparent that less people paid attention to a young boy, she seemed to have nothing to offer. And to many people, she didn't, only the thieves that Sam worked with would be given information, and every piece she gave, she earned a bit of coin, making her look out for even more dirt that could be useful to someone. She was learning quick, and she was reaching out to anyone that would pay her, so with her skill set she became an information brooker. Sneaking into people’s houses to find letters, eavesdropping on meetings, even stealing documents, writing them out and putting them back so that no one would even notice. She was gaining a name for herself as she got older, she was becoming well known as someone who had something on everyone and everything. Elves, humans, witchers, witches, nobles and beggars, she had something on them.
And that is what caused her to get on someone's bad side. Giving away information on trading illegal goods between guards for a hefty price. She was given the warning to never do so again by coming home to be greeted by Sam, gutted out and laying like a butcherd lamb on her floor. A letter explaining how the others were after her. She had no where to turn to, with Sam gone the thieves would not take her in, and if one group lost interest in her, they all would soon follow.
And thats, when Dijkstra came into her life. She still hated that look on his face, how he knew he had her. He offered her safety, her name under his protection so long as she worked for him as one of his spies. She didn't have a choice, it was ether do what she already dose, under his name, or be burned at the stake or hung from the tree. Reluctantly she agreed, only to find that she was paid more, she was given better equipment, better housing. Her brother was dead, and in turn she gained a new life. It was a price in which she wish she did not have to pay, but she didn’t play her cards right so she ran with it. Dijkstra and others in the Redanian Intelligence becoming the new group to know that she was really a woman. She began to live comfortably, she gave her work in on time, and so she was never left hungry. Life was good, and she was trusted, feared by her enimes and protected by her friends. Just how she liked it.
But that had only caused her to be given a job that she could not refuse. The wild hunt, the unknown of the unknown. She could never find any information worth while from any book she read. And whenever someone offered, they charged far too much for her to afford. Now she could get it herself, it would not be easy, she always worked solo. But why not? She was always up for a challenge, there are places to see, things to steal and information to be gathered. A new chapter to be opened that she can not wait for.
Other: The crossbow she uses was her Brother Sam's Has a pet rat that she never named.
She was holding her breath the entire time, she dared not even allow her heart to beat. Reena could see the details in his boots he was so close. It was David, Rick and him would come over all the time when they were together, trashing her barn cause she was so far away and no one would hear the noise. Reaching for her knife, she began to tense up, he was going to see her, he was going to find her and snap her neck without a second thought. It wouldn't take that much effort would it? No, he was at least twice her size, she would put up a fight though, maybe every time he pissed it would be agony if she kicked him hard enough.
Yet before he could find her, opening her space even. She watched Johnny climb from his hiding spot, he moved like a trained killer, a clean cut with more effort than needed, even carefully lowering him down. A splatter of blood landing on her shirt, slowly she moved from her spot, covering the body with the clothes she was hiding under. Her heart finally allowing itself to beat, yet now it was just painful in her chest.
She only nodded her head, too scared that her voice would carry and they would hear. Instead she slung the bow on her arm, her hunting knife still in hand she took a deep breath. Her voice barely above a whisper, gold eye flickering back to the door encase someone decided to check out the room. "We go out the window, wait for them to enter back here and just pick them off. They aren’t sober enough to get out from here...." Pointing the bow at the awaiting door she mentioned to the window. "You first, if something happens, get Epona, tell her home and she'll take you there, just hang on."
Waiting to hear Johnny leave, she began to back up, eyes trained on the door, feet slow to keep away the sound till she felt the wall on her back and about to climb out only for Paul to walk in. She did not hesitate, letting her arrow fly as it embedded it's self in his jugular. Quickly climbing out she ducked close to the wall, eyes wide in slight panic the red head began to move. They couldn't stay there, they were bound to find them if they stayed there. Crouched low, she jogged around the other side of the house to hear questions, yelling and slamming doors. Its obvious they found the bodies, now it was only a matter of time before a shoot out began. She's never been in this situation, only going based on hunting and what she heard from her friends and brothers.
Giving her companion a look over the shoulder, her back to the wall, she held her breath, trying to calm down. It was all or nothing Reena, it's like your father said, humans are always the best sport, and your a great hunter. Don't think of them as people you knew, they really would kill her, after Johnny slit David's throat and how Rick tried to end her at Tom Thumb's it was obvious that she was a target for them. Gun shots heard from the back of the house, angry shouts caused her to breath. "Good, they're angry. I never done this, have you?" Already loading her bolt, she brought it close, moving to the front door, looking through to see that indeed, they were all checking the place out.
------
"I don't know if I should look for him or not. The guy just lost his wife he's not in a good mind set right now.." Worry setting in James's mind, he was forced to stay. What if someone came here while Reena was gone? What if they needed him? He knew his way around the place, they didn't....
"Crap, why dose this always happen. Don't people watch the movies, you never split up!"
Name:Aurora Lorell
Quote:"One should never fear the dark. Just enjoy the light you have left."
Alias: Nevermore
Age: 24
Gender: female
Notoriety: Missing
Level: yellow
Family: Father: Rick Lorell, Mother: Sarah Lorell
Occupation: Horse trainer and retired Olympic rider.

Personality:
A quiet soul who files down his horns and keeps a hood over his head.
Other:
He's a ranger of sorts, the ability to survive on his own in the wilds for lifetimes was gained from childhood. And due to some unknown history, he has an extensive knowledge in not dragon history or lore, but in their make up. How they live and thrive as though they were on the same level as a Hert.

Personality:
A powerful creature and one who wears her heritage with pride.
She's often been told that she needs to grow a back bone though, shying away and going without just to avoid confrontation. A soft spoken voice and often times being taken advantage of due to her throat locking up whenever she tries to defend herself. Even so, she is still very warm to those around her, offering advice when she can, and not being turned away from a outburst. Her family often worries that her nature would get her into trouble one day, far too trusting, and a little too easy going.

<div style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><br>I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.<br><br><div class="bb-center"><div class="bb-h1"><font color="#92278f">Characters</font></div></div> <br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Aurora Lorell">Aurora Lorell [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Name:Aurora Lorell<br><br>Quote:"One should never fear the dark. With a lean build and fair skin standing in at around 5,2. Her eyes are what really set her apart besides the snowy form. Red and clouded as though in a veil of mist she almost always keeps them closed due to being bullied as a child. Many saying they are unnerving to look at.</div></div><br><br>Method of Operation: No one knows that its truly her. Those that have gained her help have only seen the creatures that she calls forth. Usually beasts from mythology that have few features. If shes forced to be seen she stays silent, trying to keep her age and gender a secret. If anyone found out who she was, the world would find out everything about her in minutes.<br>Instead she uses her tour as a way to keep her location foggy. <br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Mask">Mask [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none"><img src="https://dncache-mauganscorp.netdna-ssl.com/thumbseg/278/278284-bigthumbnail.jpg" /></div></div><br><br>Superpower: Aurora has the ability to conjure beasts from stories she has read or been told. <br>Many would think this ability is limitless. Sadly Aurora must read or hear the tale in which her conjure is being made from. Even than she can't always make them unless it had a impact on her in some way. Because of this she has a habit of asking others for stories. Any kind hoping that she could advance her abilities further. <br>Her biggest weakness is that this only works when she has a sound mind and when the book is open. Growing up taming thousand pound animals has made her difficult to frighten. But if she falls pray to fear, the companions she had called would turn on her. If her book is closed her train of thought would break, causing the creatures to disperse and leave her side. <br><br>Skills: an amazing horse back rider, her hearing is better than most. Memory is above average. Shes been told that her voice is rather calming due to her nature. Shes also had a good chance of catching a lie so long as it's spoken. <br><br>Equipment: Book of tales. <div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Hider">Hider [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none"><img src="http://coolvibe.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/2D-Art-Dmitry-Khrapovitsky-Magic-Book.jpg" /> Every story is written in Braille. Because of this she keeps it hidden from view and no one has yet to look through it's pages. If someone found out what was inside than the trail would be short in finding out that Aurora is the owner.</div></div><br><br>Personality: Aurora is a seeker of knowledge. <br><br>Yet even with the quite demands of independence, Aurora is a calming presence. Soft spoken shes not one to raise her voice. When it comes to her friends, she is usually the one to end a fight with words alone. Comforting others when they are in need not using sayings of encouragement, but sitting at their side in silence. <br>She had an interesting habit though. When in good company she tends to speak in riddles, thinking that it's due to the stories she obsesses over, she tries her best to keep it under wraps. Even so, those who she calls friends will tell her she slipped back into her odd way of speaking. <br>Her greatest fear is being in absolute silence, she also tends to tap her finger on her cane. Sound is her greatest asset and without it she turns into a shell of her usual self. Fumbling over words and sometimes not able to use her powers safely. <br><br>Biography: Aurora was born into the business of horses. <br><br>Yet that did not stop the girl from living up to her family's potential. <br>Having a love for the stories that her mother would read her. Thrashing in the box and causing her to scramble out, screams of rage and fear ringing through the stable.<br>Before she knew it her parents were at her side, asking her what was wrong yet whatever had caused the damage was gone. Again and again it had happened, each time with her reading. Its taken her two full months to find out that the cause of her horse’s spooking was the conjuration of creatures from her own words.<br>Her own abilities.<br><br>Another idea that she could gain independence she began to work. <br>Her stallion named Beauty in a Shadow, was gone. <br><br>Her first thought was to contact the security to find him. Away from the stable and out to the parking lot to hear the half drugged screams of her stallion.<br><br>That night something snapped, she no longer used her abilities to gain a smile, as she called forth a crimson wraith from the tale "a wife in the bog." The gut wrenching shrieks and screams rang true to her ears. the creature she chosen playing on their fear, having them see a different story as it led them away, leaving her stallion.<br>Yet her story, while seeming to end at a good note. Her stallion back in safety and ready to ride again. The next morning she found herself plastered in headlines, she had been accused of being a variant right before she road into the arena. By the very humans who tried to steal her companion. <br><br>She left after that, the heart warming tale of Aurora Lorell that was supposed to end in happiness was forever marred with slander. She left her home that same week, taking her savings and her reputation to find a place that would somehow accept her. It was a man named Damion who became her salvation. He had property for horses and knew nothing of them, or cared for them. She had passion and a wish for a new place to stay. <br>Fallen from grace, Aurora now runs Beauty ranch. <br>That is unless she has her mask, some things you just can't give up. <br><br>Theme outside of battle: <iframe src="//youtube.com/embed/b4CjB-7IT4o?theme=dark" frameborder="0" width="496" height="279" allowfullscreen></iframe><br>battle theme: <iframe src="//youtube.com/embed/k5X0v7h5kWQ?theme=dark" frameborder="0" width="496" height="279" allowfullscreen></iframe><br><br>Extra:<div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Beauty in Shadow">Beauty in Shadow [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none"><img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/3e/1c/0d/3e1c0defac08c0fcb7d9dd6bd8c60a5f.jpg" />A friesian stallion who she named Loki as a barn name he was registered as Beauty in Shadow.</div></div></div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name=" Tasar"> Tasar [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Name: Tasar<br>Age: Unknown<br>Sex: Male<br>Race: Qunari Elf hybrid <br>Appearance: <br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Hider">Hider [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none"><img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/4b/d3/32/4bd332a06a30d1aa66df11a40afde508.jpg" /></div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="my art of meh boi">my art of meh boi [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">All of these are drawn by me.<br><img src="https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/30712112_1900405190009533_696127335484571326_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=3c86c0d54ac6427b5b17ba2c1be9adec&oe=5B65CDC7" /> <br><img src="https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/p206x206/30705783_1900405506676168_2288599929610529108_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=73efff5032d949d8129758e42811f6cc&oe=5B7542EB" /></div></div><br><br>Personality: <br>A quiet soul who files down his horns and keeps a hood over his head. She took to horse back riding when she was only four years old, and she would often be seen talking to whatever new beast had been taken in.<br><br>When she was five years old however, a storm had swept through Washington. Roxi had to be put down, and Reena woke up days later, unable to fee her legs.<br><br>Life was very hard for the girl after that. <br><br>It was in the middle of the night when she wheeled out to go feed that very wolf that things changed. <br><br>The man wasn't the one who changed her. Sending someone to gather her things, Reena found herself being shipped off to the night school, and being thrown in a world she never knew existed.</span><br><br><div class="bb-center"><img src="" /></div><div class="bb-h3"><span class="bb-b"><span class="bb-i"><font color="#6ecff6"><div class="bb-center">Extras</div></font></span></span></div><br> <span class="bb-b"><font color="#6ecff6">Advice To The World:If someone takes something from you, make something better.</font></span><br><span class="bb-b"><font color="#6ecff6">Anything Else: She plays the cello, and has a fear of storms</font></span></div></div><br><br></div>
