Maxima

Synthetic fingers carried a finely polished leaf spring, gently guiding it home amidst a beautifully oiled piece of machinery. It was the last part to replace for the restoration of an old but still reliable pistol - Old enough to be more of a collector piece than actually used for its original purpose, but it could still get the job done, obviously.

Until something rocked the ship, forcing Maxima's hand forward. The spring was bent from the force, and the finish marred by Maxima's armored nails. Her eyes narrowed in frustration. She gently set down the disassembled pistol, her expression the only thing betraying her anger. "Unforgivable."

Maxima only grabbed two things from her room: Her beloved machine gun and a recent acquisition as a sidearm. Truth be told, the sidearm had no place being used by any normal person: It was designed as an attempt to have the power of a shotgun in the small package of a pistol... With catastrophic results in regard to human wrists. Needless to say, Maxima had wanted an excuse to use it, and scattering little holes in spacesuits seemed like a good use case.

She wasted no time in directing herself to the nearest airlock. Maxima had a bit of a disdain for the vacuum of space - without sound, there was no music, and what was the point? She would simply have to captivate her audience through choreography, instead. Luckily for everyone else, she could still transmit her lovely voice through local communications channels.

"There's never a bad time for a guerilla live show, right? Luckily you've-" Maxima shouldered her automatic rifle. "Got." She depressurized the airlock. "Me~!" She vaulted into the fray as she delivered her last line, her entire body glowing as her shield emitters projected a bright yellow shield of hard light.

A textbook start to a performance: The arrival of the star. Perhaps literally, in this case, as Maxima was a glowing ball of yellow light peeking out from the hull of the ship - she could be mistaken for a sunrise, in her opinion. Maxima's eyes narrowed as she snapped her aim to the nearest pirate, her expression of cheer twisting somewhat with the sudden focus of aiming. Then, of course, the music started.

To Maxima, it was music - Her machine gun was intimately linked to her, as a purpose-designed peripheral. If anything, it was just as much a part of her as a limb. Each time it fired, she received information from her link - weapon temperature, remaining ammo, trajectory estimations... It all came to her as a sixth sense. It was the gun's music - there was no other way she could manage to describe it.

Perhaps the artistry was lost on the enemy she had in her sight: They of course could not hear the music, just feel the hail of bullets that rained upon them. After what they did to her most recent restoration project... That was the least they deserved. It was a simple fact that a star like Maxima would have pushy fans, but luckily she knew how to deal with them. She tracked to the next pirate, but kept aware of the others in case she needed to move. Her shields would likely hold against anything they had, but what was music without dance? She had an image to uphold.

"The performance for these pushy fans who ruined my pistol restoration project is on! Any aboard the Guernica who want to watch the lights are welcome~!" Maxima kept this comm chatter to the crew only.

Alex scratched her cheek sheepishly, giving a nervous laugh at Wolf's awkward compliment. "Ehehe... Thanks." It did make her feel better, despite the strange atmosphere between them.

The question he asked was one she expected, though she couldn't quite read what the feeling was behind it. While it didn't sound hopeful... It wasn't really hostile either. She quickly blurted it out, before Wolf even had a chance to react. "I was looking for you!! I-It's been a long time and I spent months in the hospital and... I-" Alex's voice caught in her throat before she could finish her sentence.

She sniffled, thinking back to what happened earlier with Vera. "I just needed some time... Please don't be mad..." She felt like she messed it up already, but it was too late now. She braced herself.
I'm honored! I'll get Maxima posted over by the end of today, wanna try and finish up her portrait.

Alex wasn't expecting that to be Wolf's first question, though she had become so used to her eyepatch by now that she didn't really notice. Except for when she tried to catch things. She immediately looked down, awkwardly putting her hands together. "Um... Y-Yes, it's... Well... I've had to wear it since I woke up, since my eye..." Alex held back from talking about the details. She knew what she thought actually happened and the clinical definition had inconsistencies. Ones that she probably wouldn't want to discuss until later. "Its vision isn't really here anymore, I suppose?" She absentmindedly touched her eyepatch. "I-It looks a little cool, I think..." Alex did wholeheartedly believe that statement, at least.

She at last managed her nerves enough to get a steady glance at Wolf - he looked very conflicted, though Alex couldn't guess at which direction his heart was being tugged. If she had seen him like this before... everything that had happened, she would have rushed to comfort him without a second thought. But now, could she really? Would she have to close the distance over time?

Would he even want that anymore? Alex's breath caught in her throat at the thought, panic creeping into her mind.

I think I might need to flesh out stuff more, and I'm working on the image for the character right now, but this is the gist so far.
Interested, have been rootin' for an excuse to put together a robot character. If there's no space and/or I don't have a sheet up in time then no worries, though
Alyona

Waste her gift, he said. Alyona wasn't sure if she should laugh or vomit at the boy's words - both would hurt about equally, given the beating she received. 'Let's swap places and see how well you'd use this "gift,"' she thought, gritting her teeth as he left her. He couldn't even walk away - he had to vanish as if the ground beneath his feet might not be good enough to support him. She let him leave without a word. Nothing she could say would really change what had happened, though she wondered why he chose the words he did as he left. Alyona chalked it up to a language barrier, even though she had a fairly strong grasp of the local tongue. There wasn't really any other explanation for why he'd call her "indecent."

Aly rested against the alley wall for a moment before shakily standing. It was another one of those days. She thought she had actually seen an upturn recently, but she supposed this was what she got for thinking positively. She didn't have a change of clothes, so she'd have to walk home like that. She had experienced worse. In fact, the dreadful ferry ride at the capital as a child had this beat by far - More water, by far.

She slowly paced to the edge of the alley, finding her bag. Walking was difficult, and her body ached with the trauma as well as the cold. She probably couldn't make it home like this. It was a thought that was an inconvenience, rather than an existential threat. Alyona knew very well that she could heal using her lances - not being able to make it home as is was a simple matter of finding something... or someone to drain. She had some ideas on that front.

"Despite everything, I guess I'll be fine." Alyona muttered to herself. It wasn't a statement of joy or pain, merely an observation of her state.
Alex

Alex had waited a decent amount of time, enduring the stares of countless intimidating students. But she had to. Even if it was as negative as when she ran into Vera, it was something she had to get through.

It didn't help that there had been so much time since they last met. Alex wondered how much taller Wolf might have grown since she last saw him, or if he might have a different look entirely. Vera had definitely grown, Alex was certain of that. It made Alex doubt if she would even be able to spot him - he could manage to sneak past her! 'I-I should have made a sign or something! W-Would people think I'm a chaffeur, though? Wait, do I even care?' She made herself distracted, idly looking through her bag for the materials to make a sign.

One of the students finally came up to her while she was distracted. Alex nearly jumped from surprise when she was asked if she was looking for someone. "A-Actually yes, I'm looking for-" Her voice caught in her throat when she turned to see who asked her. "-Wolf?"

The person she was looking for managed to find her first. He did look a little different - He looked like he needed some sleep, really - but it was unmistakeably Wolf. Alex nearly leaned forward to hug him, but she stopped herself - she didn't want to suddenly act out like that. It would only hurt more if he rejected her... Like Vera did.

Attempting her best to keep a cool air (and more or less failing), she cleared her throat. "Um... H-Hello, Wolf... It's been... Um. Too long..." She couldn't maintain eye contact for more than a few syllables.

@Dezuel

Alyona had blacked out - a single frame of black separated her from drowning in the vortex and waking on the cold ground. For a brief moment she thought she might have died. Unfortunately, it was not so. Even worse, the idiot in question was towering over her, asking something inane.

Alyona spit up water, hoping to catch the boy with it, but not quite putting enough strength into the movement to do so. "Kids like me?" She scoffed. "Kids like you belong at the gallows." Venom dripped from her words. She struggled to her knees, her clothing dripping wet, and a chill already settling in. "Go ahead. Do whatever you came here to do." She spat once again in his direction.

She wasn't in a position to fight, but she wasn't going to beg for mercy either. The boy probably didn't know she spent all her money, nor that she never carried anything too valuable on her anyway. How could he know that everything she did invited disaster?
