Kir

Day 0 || Morning || Church

It was so...so frustrating! To be so small, to not be able to move at first! Over the following days it would get better, bit by bit, until Kir found herself unable to sit still as soon as she was able to first move about. Moving about the church, looking for cool rocks or trinkets or such to grab up into her own little pile, examining the place, examining the others, all of it! If nothing else to get a better idea of things. Strange memories of someone that 'used' to be her hung in her mind as well, what they did and were and that basic stuff, but nothing more beyond that. She got the feeling they weren't her, but also 'had been' her at the same time. It was strange, in a way, but nothing she would think hard on for the time being at all.

After all, it was a new day! The day she could escape the church, and finally stretch her legs into the forest to get an idea of more things as well. But Grandpa had said to wait for the hobs to get back with their last meal...ugh! She wanted to ask about the layout of the forest, and get out there already to explore it all so she could get started! To this end, Kir was already pacing around the entrance to the church itself. She'd already snuck this far as soon as she could simply crawl it the night before, before Grandpa had drug her back!

"They need to get here already!" the admittedly attractive female goblin said aloud, before giving a light childish 'huff' and sitting down in front of the great doors.

Was she being impatient? Yes. But to be frank, living in a tiny body unable to move only a few days ago had left her with a desire to get some fresh air. Not that she wanted to die, that's why she was still here at the church after all, but to hell if she was sitting around forever. That, and being hungry was honestly probably getting under her skin just a little bit. Just a little.

@Jangel13 Am i approved? :O

Ok, was being silly there, sorry. XD

Woohoo, ready to get started whenever you are!
@Jangel13 Well that's the thing. She can make inferior copies, but it's basically a simple support skill for making disposable tools and doing stuff on the fly. If she doesn't do things herself to go get skills and earn her own way, then she just stagnates and does nothing. So there's plenty of motivation for her to go do things, heck she'd go down some kind of badass dragon evolution line and collect cool items and such for herself if that's possible. XD

In her case the skill doesn't define what she'll become, nor is the centerpiece of her character. Her personality is more 'go collect the cool stuff for myself', like a hero who wants to get the cool stuff, and this only happens to somewhat synergize with her skill in a sense. It still has its uses, like making inferior firewood or not having to worry about making a proper sword or spear on the side or in a hurry for hunting, but growing and developing on her own isn't left to the wayside regardless. Heck, get her to learn sword skills and she could use a recreated sword to maybe out-duel someone with a better sword on the basis of skill. Making fake copies and mimicking others' skills only goes so far, like a baseboard to encourage you to push your own skills to get better. :P
@Crusader Lord

Disguise or mimicry would be much better honestly charm is so hard to quantify in words

Alright! So basically I switched out the charm thing for a "copy abilities/items" skill with the theme of 'recreation'.

She can make a recreation/copy of items, and also recreate/copy the capabilities (aka: skills/techniques/powers/abilities) of others, as the effect of this skill by just perceiving/seeing them. Her senses and mind record the info and analyze things passively as a mechanical means for her to be able to recreate stuff at all, and basically doing that will never be a problem.

The hard rule is, however, that these 'recreations' both object and capabilities are always inferior to the originals and lose in a straight match of power. Like if you observed the spear-fighting skills of a guy, and then he got better years later, you'd only be able to recreate 'the skills that person had at that point in time' you saw him before and would have to go observe the guy again to be able to be able to recreate his improved skills. Either way if you tried fighting him with a spear and a recreation of his own skills, you'd always lose in straight up match of just his spear skills vs your recreation of his spear skills.

Further, something like a divine blessing given to or inherited by a specific individual can't be recreated. Certain powers like 'can shoot out webs cause they killed enough spiders', techniques that can be learned such as weapon-wielding techniques, skills like sewing, etc, can be recreated though.

Likewise and more so limiting this power is also the wielder's state of evolution, or the strength of their soul, so the stronger the wielder becomes through evolution the more powerful the objects and capabilities they can actually recreate. As a base goblin, for example, you couldn't recreate the skills of a hobgoblin or an item that only something stronger than a hobgoblin could wield for one reason or another...but could do so when it comes to other goblins and the things they can utilize or own. Or if a hobgoblin wields a weapon or shield or other item they made as or could still wield as a goblin, then a base goblin with this power could recreate those objects in such a case.

As a base goblin, these objects and capabilities only last for five minutes at most (aka just five minutes outright every time and then suddenly disappear) when recreated. On the other hand, this skill can always be used to recreate stuff over and over so you can spam copies since they are already naturally inferior but good-quality copies. :P

Finally, as an aside, in the specific case of 'recreated objects' there is another catch. If you 'overload' them with magical energy, then they can very very briefly match the power of the original item they were based after. Very, very, briefly. As a result, however, they are outright and immediately destroyed in the aftermath of using them in such a manner.

***(Sorry for this being so long and detailed, but I felt it'd be good to just tack on proper limitations to balance it...all whilst leaving it rather useable in its own ways in the short and long terms :D)

If this idea doesn't work then just tell me, or perhaps help me with suggestions for skills perhaps? I based this one in particular on her cosplay antics in her prior life, basically. XD**
@Jangel13

But what if whatever they put in the forest water the makes all the male goblins gay? Then I have nothing! :P

Haha. Jokes aside, though, I'll just change the power to avoid the potential issues altogether. If that's ok.

Prob going back to try to to think of another power for the same background. Maybe use the cosplay for a disguise power, or a power mimicry skill, etc. XD

(Anywho, on the last few short minutes of break. Will do edits and changes stuff after I get home a few hours from now.)
@Jangel13

@Jangel13 Hurry, we must start the RP before Dark Cloud and company go full ORK. XD
...Well I hit the wrong emote. RIP.

Cool monk though, Rune! :P
@Jangel13

Name: Kir

Gender: Female

Appearance: She is supernaturally more attractive than other goblins, as a side effect of her Skill.

Personality: A relentless individual who pursues her own goals and desires, and in simple one could call her ‘greedy’. Whilst her drive and bravery can lead her to push ahead valiantly, or frankly perform even laborious tasks if it means getting something out of it herself, they are also just as likely to lead her into trouble. Whilst she is very possessive of ‘what is mine’, somewhat like dragons from certain folklores back on Earth, at the same time she can be rather amicable and friendly and even get along in general in social situations otherwise.

Past Life History: A yes-woman, a flirt, a beauty, and a criminal tease who lived most of her life using others to her advantage and benefit. A child who grew up with everything and wanted more, and used her wits and charm to turn heads and empty wallets for her own sake. However, whilst a skilled manipulator she would eventually fall onto bad times after trying to pick at the wrong target and see her efforts all for naught. In the end she would be forced to pick up the pieces of her life and come to terms with it, before finding a husband and actually settling down.

She would ultimately become an anime lover and a kinder person in this last short piece of her life, and ultimately make more income on the side from selling detailed cosplay attire to others and selling pictures of her cosplaying. She would even go to conventions alongside her also anime-avid husband, both getting exposure for her work and fostering a deeper connection with her beloved and eventually her own kids. In the end, however, she would die when a victim of her former shenanigans ran her over with a car.

At the time she was out walking with her husband, heading from a parking lot to an anime convention in the city for a ‘date night’. Both her and her husband died instantly from the impact, and the driver would die of her own wounds in the ambulance soon after.

Skill: “Super Charm” - A skill that in effect allows the wielder to enchant other living things, or basically something like hypnotizing them or charming them. This can be used on bestial animals to help tame them, on enemies/monsters to stop them from attacking you, on undead to make them stop in their tracks, on passerby to bring them under your influence to command them, on spirits/elementals to bring them under her sway as well, and so forth. The side-effect is that the wielder acquires a supernatural level of beauty no matter their form.

As a goblin, this ability is naturally very limited in its effects and power. She can enchant rather weak creatures like rabbits and such most properly, and more dangerous things like wolves to make it easier to tame them or at least stop them from attacking her for a bit, and at the very most do things like cause another of her kind to simply take pause for a moment or stop mid-action very briefly. But anything well stronger than her is far more resistant if not just naturally outright immune.

Whatever evolution line she goes down, this skill will grow in strength and potency alongside her as will the side-effect of her supernatural beauty.
