Battlefield Survival Guide for Dummies
Sonia raised her bent shield to protect herself from the flying debris, damn whatever that army was firing packed a punch, and what's even worse the monster army was able to take these without a scratch. The catgirl turned away from the rest of the group when the horn sounded, it didn't take much to figure out what this signified, her face paled at the sight of the charging monster army. This was exactly the last thing they wanted to happen; to get caught up in the middle of this battle they probably had no real part in. "Okay!" She shouted. "Change of plans then, we run towards that human army... I guess we look human enough so they might take us in." Although as she said this Sonia glanced at the demon, it looked anything but human, maybe they could ditch it somewhere along the way if that becomes an issue.
Before any of them could start running it was somewhat too late as the forefront on the monsters had already reached them. From what Sonia could tell most of the group was made up of goblin looking creatures, all armed with shoddy looking weapons and sometimes even without real weapons like a spiked wooden board. They didn't have much of a choice anymore it looked like, they probably had to fight off these monsters before being able to run. Sonia tried to relax her body, while she had no clear idea how to active her techniques, she did have some hunches. She breathed in deeply, and when the moment felt right she shouted
"Bullrush!" Around her soon emanated a faint white aura, barely visible to the naked eye but was definitely there. What was much more obvious was the sudden feeling of power flowing through her limbs, that seemed to have done the trick.
Without delay she launched into her attack, charging at twice her normal speed. While she knew nothing about fighting, she can always wing it and learn on the fly. She smashed her shield into the nearest goblin, the creature flew back quite a few feet from the blow as splinters exploded from her poor, abused shield. She looked down and saw it was missing a board, maybe she should be more careful or else she wouldn't even have a shield anymore.
Bullrush wasn't meant to last long and so after just that one attack Sonia felt the power dissipate leaving her back in a normal state. The catgirl turned to face another goblin to slash at, although as her sword connected it ended up getting stuck partway through. Good thing she chose force as her attribute which allowed her the strength to cut the rest of the way with the rusty blade. There were a good number of goblins, way too many for her to take on alone, she hoped the others would jump into combat soon.
