lack of freedom. In this system you must produce something of value. I don't think it can work if you let everyone seek their dreams and still get the rashen of money/food, so that means you have to deal with whatever work the government is okay with you doing.

Lack of financial hierarchy. Oh man, isn't that the point though? Well yeah, hierarchy sucks in some ways, but it's kind of integral to human sociaty. Without it, you will have some other form of hierarchy. But here's the big thing, the interesting things throughout history have usually been created by rich people who could spend their time on art. Without a upper class, everyone needs to spend their time working. This also creates a sociaty that would be fundementally non diverse. As everyone would be living a similar lifestyle.

Art's usually created by poor people though. Rich people buy and appropriate that art-- given more free time, creative people will tend to lean toward creative pursuits, and with more financial security for more people, I think we'll have a society with more creative people.

Lack of progress. For the individual, progressing in life and seeking self actualization is the journey. I believe a lack of feeling of progress to our lives would leave us depressed.

But it does work-- it just so happens that being a new country, surrounded by capitalist enemies who want to see you fail because they're full of bougie pigs, is not good for longevity. A lot of systems of communism don't really have internal flaws (unless you want to look at say, Maoism, for example-- which had garbage theory-- or Stalinism-- which had the problem of literally daddy Stalin).

Appearance: Well, the first thing people tend to notice about Lily are her NUMEROUS scars-- they branch across her face and body, much like a treasure map, leading the viewer to beauty marks and other blemishes across her skin, all with their own stories. The scars, most small enough to be mistaken for beauty marks themselves, reach the corner of her dark and full lips, and snakes between two large, almond shaped eyes with irises of shifting gold and chocolate. The scars are more often found around the periphery of her face, reminders of times she forgot to pay attention to a small bit of wet rope whipping around-- she's also got quite a few across the bridge of her nose. Her eyes and lips are seemingly clear of these marks. Despite the scars, she does have a natural beauty that could shine through, if only she behaved less like a complete maniac more often.

The second thing people tend to notice is her hair. Lily's mother, an 80's heroine through and through, wasn't particularly present in her life, but she did teach her this: "The bigger the hair, the closer to God." As her father's-- or CAP, as he likes to go by, as his first mate, she's completely content with her life. Lily has very little interest in meeting God. However, she does wear her hair high up, and low down, as well. The fluffy, naturally-obsidian-but-often-exotically-colored lion's mane is her most prized possession-- its full length reaches well down to her lower back, and is the only part of her appearance she puts more that a passive effort into maintaining-- if it looks unkempt, that's because she spent 3 hours trying to make it looks that way.

Perhaps, after that, people may notice there is a person attached to this amazing head of hair and collection of nicks and cuts. Lily is a thin, but hearty girl, raised by the seas-- with an elongated hourglass figure, and almost no chest to show for it. Due almost entirely to genetic fuckery, with her lithe form, she stands tall at 5' 10". She's got little in the way of excess fat, her figured being shaped almost entirely by wiry muscle. Though, she isn't a complete muscular powerhouse, only weighing around 140 lbs. Her lower body is notably more muscled and toned than her upper body, due to near constant use of her 'sea-legs.' Her complexion changes with the lighting, though typically, she appears as more honey-golden brown, in very bright light her skin can be as fair as a dark olive tone.

Like her CAP, she dresses darkly, preferring blacks, band T-shirts, black jeans, or whatever sailor appropriate garments she can get her hands on. Her style isn't really consistent-- she is just a fan of black and will wear whatever. Only consistent traits are long black sashes worn in place of belts, and a general disdain for skirts and shoes. Another notable feature are her nails-- typically cracked, overly bitten and poorly done, she paints them in the color of whatever her hair is-- silver, right now. She moves her hand to cover her mouth when she speaks, less insecure about her pale yellowish-white teeth, opening her mouth exposes a few dental injuries.

Personality: Since she was a child, Lily has been something of a tough nut to crack, while she can appear to get along with pretty much everyone she comes into contact with, she is known to flip this switch in moments if she is angered. And she quick to anger. That being said she is also giving, and selfless-- and she will go to any length for those she cares about. So long as they don't piss her off in the process.

While not ill-tempered, Lily is rather childlike when becoming passionate about something. She can be prone to whining to get her way, and does not suffer boredom very well. To say she is impatient is an understatement. She is brave to a reckless degree and doesn't really think much in the way of long term plans. She instead prefers to string together pleasure from moment to moment.

On the side of knowledge-- well, while not formally trained in a prestigious naval academy-- her father taught her in the ways of... seamanry from basically the moment she came to live with him, as a baby. So she's definitely got skills that require intelligence. She's no slouch in combat either, possessing excellent awareness of the flow of battle. Still, she's a 'feeling' over 'thought' kind of girl. She possesses expertise in numerous areas (most of these due to being raised on a ship), and is proud, but not boastful of them. (Okay-- well not too boastful)

Planet: Land of Song and Sand - There's never not a note being played in the air here. It's... a lot like the seas, actually-- but somehow worse in every way. The cities are far apart, and reaching one is like a poisoned oasis. The festivities are lively, but there is poison underneath everything-- they're like if Vegas and New Orleans had a baby, and it wanted to be like Twin Peaks.

Strife Deck: Chainkind - Fuckin' sick, right? Believe it or not, it used to be a literal anchor. Lily doesn't, and has never had the strength for wielding such a dumb weapon. Her CAP convinced her it would be cool when she was too young to realize how FUCKIN' STUPID that was. So for a long time she was stuck with that weight... a literal fuckin' anchor. She is pretty sure, looking back, that this was one of CAP's weird psycho-pacifist ploys... But hey-- necessity is the... something? Of invention, though? Regardless-- she learned how to fight with it-- it just required a lot of precise timing, luck, and fuckery with the full functionality of her sylladex, both strife and captchalogue. Eventually, relying on a technical lack of friction and gravity to smash a ton of sea metal at things over and over again broke the thing-- and anchorkind became the much sexier chainkind.

Explained: Entities From Another Place, The Evil That Lurks In The Woods.

The tingle that raises hair on your neck, alone at night, surrounded only by the dark gold of trees, and the unfamiliar coos of owls-- there exist places in this world where the darkness of men and magic alike pools-- places untouched by the bustle of man, the covens of witches, or the souls of anyone-- here pool spirits shunned, feelings of fear, hatred, and malaise, left to linger our plane, mingling forces left unexamined by mortal eyes, to stew, and become something else.

These ghosts mutate and grow, like the the trees around them. When darkness from beyond earth, perhaps hell-- perhaps energy even more sinister-- enters our plane, and finds it's match, something new is hatched, for... entities to inhabit, and seek out more of what created them.

Another place.

That feeling of terror you get in the woods. The feeling that something evil is behind you, that something is waiting to slip inside of you, and tear away everything you love. That feeling is real.

This Darkness given form, is a place of raw, unimaginable power, chock full of dark forces and vicious secrets. Time has no meaning, and space is fractured-- it appears, and is, anywhere and everywhere on the globe, where there is an eerie lack of life from man, and the darkness of the night lends itself to be amplified by the trees. The Entities from this place... are difficult to describe; they're as like to rip the flesh from your bone as greet you with a happy "good day." They appear as non-euclidian beings, thoughts, voices, and actual humans, or beings that resemble humans, either possessed from the plane of the living or fabricated.

Power is law, in this place-- and when influence expands, beings from earth may find themselves changed by this power, some madmen even seek it's power out, typically only to be absorbed into this hidden land of unmuffled screams and broken hearts themselves, becoming batteries of the fear and misery that the entities thrive on for survival.

When the entities leave though... or, more likely, those bastards touched by the entities find their way out... they have abilities. Typically, they have a penchant for prediction-- spoken, though, in language others may often fail to understand. They excel, oddly enough, at games of chance and sin. Those Bastards Of The Wood that enter society often become high profile gamblers as a result. Darkness is their ally much like their distant cousins, the vampire-- and under cover of night, they can expand their minds to those of animals native to their wood, allowing them to see through their eyes. They too, are harmed by the sun-- though, the burns they suffer can be avoided, through use of sunscreen and lack of prolonged direct contact, they cannot develop resistance to it, and instead of burns, they have their skin painfully peeled away by direct exposure to sunlight.

Much of their dark magicks are an unknown however-- though, it is know that their material beings are fueled not by blood, but by Garmonbozia-- this is, to them, the materialized form of suffering, pain, fear, and sorrow-- without a steady diet of these negative emotions, these entities will begin to whither and lose their grip on reality, eventually losing their physical forms and returning to their wood for slumber, or, if they are unlucky-- finding themselves turned into golden winds of omen, by the purity of the world around them.

Lola is different, and she knows it.

She would very much like to be a passive and quiet individual, she would like a lot of things-- though, what she is eats at her nearly constantly. She can't help her nature! The fact that she often finds herself comfortable in misery does not help-- and as such, she often finds herself at odds with what she'd like to be. Lola is aggressively sarcastic and snarky, always ready with a sharp tongued quip-- actively looking to prod and poke at the insecurities of others. She's a blast at parties. Those who become her friend find they never need fear the opinions of others-- though crossing that gap of acquaintance is Sisyphean hurdle. (Unless, of course, you happen to be a beautiful woman).

She has a very low opinion of herself, only rivaled by her misanthropically low opinion on the existence of others, and existence itself. To describe her day to day personality bluntly, she is, to others, an emotionally blank hedonist. Clearly there's more to her-- but she'd sooner move to Russia-- (her mother tells her Slavs are very hard to frighten, and the Garmonbozia there tastes like old vodka). With solitude, comes an appreciation of introspection and activities that don't require company. Lola, as a result is rather well-read, and she, at least, considers herself funny.
