Logos: Slough Week

For how long they did not know – how can the unknowing know of time? Through half-misted minds and base instincts they waited in the blackness, stirred by Her hand, blending, changing, from man to beast, then back to man again. Never thinking of the future, nor of a past that never was, but, waiting.

Then as humankind became aware, was She born. Born of their need for food, for wanting, no, needing someone to help them find their purpose. And in that cave, lit only by one flame, plants became colour, and colour became a vision, and that vision became a Goddess – and She became that Goddess. The Rotten Deer, the Mother of Life, the Many Faced Seven in One.

So, it was in the beginning that She ruled as the stag and the doe and the babe and the corpse and Goddess of the Hunt. Invoked with blood and sweat and the chase. She led the hunt through the forest and it was She who bent the branches to scratch and tear and cut. For without effort, what is the point of Life? Without hunger, what would feed the spirit? Without need, all life would die. So, their sorcerer stood in bloodied skins, and raised his hands and called Her name. Then he fell to the ground and skin became fur, and feet became hooves. Blood gushed as Her antlers pushed through bone and sinew to arise with seven tines, one for each of the moving lights within the blackness above. Stood before them She held my head proud and tall – none met Her gaze, they just breathed the stench of death and the copper taint in the blood filled air. They breathed this and it filled them with the hunger, ready to face their own death in order to feed the tribe. Drums suddenly filled the silence, and the hunters danced Her dance, invoking a spirit into their bodies. Giving her more life, and more power. Until, proud in full erect manhood he screamed Her name again and again, and they span around the fire, their throats calling with the guttural call of the rutting stag, telling it’s spirit that the tribe must live! And it must die for the tribe! Then in an instant they were gone – as the drums suddenly stopped they disappeared into the forest without a sound.
Is Brazil at the news in CNN or some American channel too? Legitimately scared at the moment tbh

You want the opinion of me, a 'US dweller'?

Donald Trump is honestly my favorite contender for the Republican nomination. My first choice would have been Rand Paul, but of course he was too reasonable to attain any significant following among the Conservative base and dropped out early on in the primaries. Kasich similarly hasn't gained enough momentum to earn my serious consideration.

And what can you UK dwellers have on us? I'm still waiting for you lot to vote the BNP into power

I met Trump, once, when he did a meet and greet business seminar in NY several years back. My family was one of the first in line, and I was in High School at the time. He actually seemed rather impressed that all of my siblings, myself included, wanted to play an active part in my parents business. He took one look at me "You're the one the kids pick on, aintcha?"

At the time, I was actually being bullied horribly by my fellow classmates for a variety of different reasons, and I guessed it showed through my demeanor.

"That's cause you aren't hungry enough. They see you have something going on, but you ain't hungry enough. They want to keep you down. They have nothing. You want that to change, you need to to want it so bad you're starving. You go back, hold your head high, and punch them in the goddamn throat in anything you do in life. Because I know when someone can be hungry."

I was 15/16ish. I'm 23, going on 24, with my own business separate from my parents, a college degree under my belt, and a happy loving family to stand behind me. The people who bullied me in school are either dead, in jail, became teenage parents, or wound up with dead-end menial jobs. So to any of you, I will say this:

My vote for President of the United States of America is going to go to the man who pulled me to the side and made me hunger for success with a three minute conversation.
Will I be the great dragonslayer in this Divinus as well?

Fraid not. That's Clarent title.

Literally what he was made for. Epic poem and everything.
@Vec So, for I've me if I'm being too harsh with this comment but...

Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin,
Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal!
@Fabulous Knight Uhuh. Morgoth, who inserted himself into the first song to create discontent. Morgoth who tricked Manwe for a pardon after he was defeated and imprisoned. Morgoth, who spread sweet lies and falsehoods amongst the Noldor. Morgoth, who convinced Ungoliant to do his dirty work, kill the Trees of Light, steal the goddamn Simarils, and assassinated Finwe.

@DawnscrollNot in terms of relationship, in terms of character. Sauron with the just-as-planned scheming, Morgoth with the "raaargh I mar you!".

*smacks him upside the head with the collected works of Tolkein*

Heretic.
@DawnscrollNah, Logos is the Sauron of this game.

Vestec is more the Morgoth.

@HaelMad scientists, presumably.

How the bloody hell do you reason that? Sauron was just one of Morgoth's lieutenant; presumably, after he had conquered middle earth, Sauron would've shores up the coastal defenses until he was ready to wage war on the undying lands and Valar... ALL with the express intent of freeing his master from the Door of Night.

Literally, nothing even remotely close to Logos and Vestec for relationship.

Honestly, this makes me think on how far Reathos can go with his domain. Like he IS the god of death... Would he be allowed to simply kill the entire army? I mean that would be super boring but I'm just wondering to what extent he can is allowed to use his domain. Considering he hasn't don't any domain specific actions yet.

<Snipped quote by Legion02>

Technically, every God can do that. Vestec would kill them with Chaos energy, Reathos could just suck all their souls out, Niciel would burn them with holy fire, Logos would crush them with their own mass, so on so forth.

Vestec, of course, would move to stop him because such an outcome is boring.

Not to mention that what's going on technically isn't against Reathos's beliefs. They're causing along of death, but they're not doing anything like preventing souls from passing, using necromancy, or messing with True Names and stuff.

If this was any other God doing this, Logos would turn a completely blind eye; and something of this calibre does mess with the natural order a bit. Course, then he'd have to intervene everytime two ant colonies got into a turf war...

Only reason Logos would send aid is because Vestec has become the Sauron of this game. And only if one of the other gods came and asked. Order IS the Anthema of Chaos afterall...
So, Vestec has seemingly pulled together an army of absolute insanity. Corrupted versions of nearly all of our races, and militarized to the tooth. Bastard seeks the domination of Galbar. He acts against all of the gods in this matter.

He upsets the Natural Order.

Elysium can lead an army of 6,666 Realta from Arcon. One of the gods need only ask for Logos's help.
@BBeast@Kho@Fabulous Knight Not sure if it counts, but Logos gifted the knowledge of fire to man. They mightve brought it over when Illy and Co stole them.

Otherwise, I'd like to be refunded my one freepoint. :P
