Questions:

1) What is this group's Creed? What brings them together? Are they bloodthirsty villains? What is their goal?
2) How do they avoid attracting the attention of the Jedi?
3) How does the esteemed leader have a lightsaber when only the Jedi and Sith know how to make them?

1. They are staunch believers in the way of the Dark Side, and are unbending in their fascination and dedication to the ways and traditions of the Sith.
This dedication to the Dark Side and to their Master as well as their "group loyalty" mentality binds them together.

Aside from the Grand Master and the Inquisitor, the other cultists ages range from early twenties to late twenties.

The grand majority of the cultists were either adopted or kidnapped by the Inquisitor as children and brought to the Grand Master to be raised and trained in the ways of the Jedi and the Dark Side.

This generation of Outcasts is the first generation of the cult.
When the Inquistor destroys the Grand Master, then the second generation will be "rounded up" from across the galaxy and trained just as the first were.
The Inquisitor will then become the Grand Master, and they will then choose a new Inquisitor to replace the now vacant spot, and the cycle repeats from there.
As for their purpose and goals, tis rather simple; scouring the Galaxy in search of both Sith and Jedi ruins and gathering artifacts and knowledge, as well as upholding the teachings of the Sith and maintaining their souls and minds to the ways of the Dark Side, and of course gathering and converting young children and teenagers and guiding then down the path of Darkness, so that they may become masters and phrophets of the Dark Side.

2.Thus far The Outcasts have managed to avoid Jedi discovery and persecution due to the fact that they have predominantly remained secluded within the Outer Rim and the uncharted regions of the Galaxy.
This however, is soon to change.

3.The leader of The Outcasts is actually a former Jedi Knight, who has been presumed dead by the Jedi Order for nigh on 25 years now.
Highly skilled and trained in all aspects of the Jedi's arts and knowledge, he has retained this information for decades now and taught it all to his first generation students.
This includes manipulation of the Force and the construction of a lightsaber.

Alright then, so, this is a basic description of what we have so far;

- A small cult of Darksiders known as "The Outcasts" that scour the galaxy in in a remodeled and refitted freighter class ship, which will be named during OP construction. The cult itself is small with only around twenty or so members, all of which are trained in the Jedi arts.

Most of the members are in their early to late twenties, aside from the High Master and the Inquisitor.

The current year is 37 BBY, 5 years prior to the Naboo Invasion by the Trade Federation.

While not totally evil in nature, The Outcasts are very devout followers of the Dark Side, and idolize its philosophies as well as many of histories greatest Sith Lords.
While not of the Sith heritage, The Outcasts admire and respect the Sith Lords to a great depth.

Does this sound pleasing to all?

While I am ecstatic about this mass pileup of interest, I request that everyone contribute opinions as far as the 3 issues that are up for vote.

So far, the only thing that has been voted for truly is the time period,
which stands at 2 for pre-Phantom Menace and 1 for the later years of the Clone Wars.

These little details must be ironed out before I construct the RP OP and the Character Sheet.

So then, I have been inspired to create a Star Wars Roleplay based around a cult of Dark Side practitioners.

Not the Sith mind you, but a tight knit circle of Dark Jedi.
Remember, there is a difference between the Sith and Dark Jedi.
The Sith are a heritage, a unique lineage of Darksiders, whereas Dark Jedi are more so a classification for all those who practice the Dark Side and it's ideologies.

Anyway however, this Roleplay will be an "open world" galactic wide Roleplay with a broad span of options and choices for the players.

However, while I have the basic structure and designs down for mark, there are some major and minor details which need to be ironed out and fitted.

So needless to say, there is some heady discussion required here at the early stages.

TIME PERIOD SETTING

I have picked out 3 separate periods, or time slots, for the setting of this Roleplay. Which do you think this Roleplay should be set in? This is more or less just something to vote on.

Options are;

A. 20 BBY, the later years of the Clone Wars. Just a year prior to the events of Revenge of the Sith.

B. 11 BBY, eight years after the fall of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Empire. As well as being several years prior to the formation of the Rebel Alliance.

C. 37 BBY, five years prior to the events of The Phantom Menace and the entire movie series.

SPAN OF CONTROL AND INFLUENCE

Regarding the power base of this Dark Jedi cult, how well structured and sizeable should it actually be?

Should it be a small cluster of regions on a single planet, an entire planet, or an entire system?
Should they rely more on militaristic brute force or cunning and scheming via assassinations, spying, espionage, and etcetera?
