Woah. That is freaking insane that another person has a character mirroring my own so closely. I could totally be down with that idea, Deja! But there is only one small problem...Yamamoto still needs to go through his Origin Arc, which means he hasn't even entered the Japanese Underworld yet, and has nothing to do with any of that. Up until this point he has spent his entire life training with the assassins. Maybe Tremor will soon hear of a up and coming Assassin that arrived in town? ;)

Ah, alright. Tremor is no longer involved with the crime family but he's definitely known by them(many find his abandonment dishonorable). Should any story arc with they Yakuza happen we will both have some dirt on each other then (or someone could hunt tremor down for his skills/dishonor)
Hey Prince, my character Tremor is also a Japanese native and former yakuza member. He spent the better part of the last decade being one the go to enforcers for the syndicate because of his martial arts mastery and superhuman powers. He did leave them though t during a moral awakening. The Beesting would therefore know of Tremor, and may even have had a history with him?
I like the team leader/squad leader idea, let's go with that. Com ms would work so your good to go with a sheet for that. Aaaand, any help on making some good maps would be appreciatiated.
OOC

I'm still working on maps and whatnot but here ya go!
Welcome to Ojira, backwoods capital word of this sector. More specifically, welcome to Barbuchaul, defacto capital due to its population size. At least it was, before the Armada went and used the planet like a shooting gallery from orbit. The Garvi nationals however didn't get the memo that they were supposed to rollover like a freshly glassed planet should. They've been coming out of bunkers like an angry antihill ever since. Three years to be exact, and the attrition has only been getting worse for everyone involved. The Armada of the Federation isn't in the business of pulling out of a campaign they initiated, so it's going to take alot more blood and resources to solve this problem.

Thats where our story comes in. Whats left of Barbuchaul has just become isolated and surrounded by Garvi forces after a surprise pincer attack. In the process, a fourth of the original force assigned to hold Barbuchaul and push through the region(which for months now has been requesting reinforcements due to increases enemy presence; i.e undermanned) has been trapped inside the city. Current radio chatter before the Garvi threw the SATnet over the city was that Garvis matched if not outnumbered the Federation forces. Communications are severely limited however, shortwave comms are about the only thing working right now and chain of commands are breaking down. Partisans and legitimate Garvi forces are supping into the city intent on routing out any remaining forces while they slug it out against the majority of Federation forces on the plains to the south of Barbuchaul. Suffice to say, things have been better for a Federation soldier in Barbuchaul.

RPers will be controlling fireteams of at least 4 members up to 10. combat roles of these fireteams are mostly infantry used to jack of all trade roles and occupation duty, but plenty of specialty forces have been scattered throughout the city trying to intercept Garvi pincer movement, or simply retreated into the city in the wake of the main southern push from the plains.Intel is limted at best, and non-existent at worse. Comms are the same.

Roster: I'd like to see a nice spread of combat roles, but I'm also open to suggestions.

FIRETEAM SHEET
Call-sign (what do you go by on comms and radio):
Combat Role (are you a convoy of tanks, a small sniper team etc):
Number of combatants (manpower, how many physical bodies are in your fireteam):
Armament (firepower, what are you working with be it 4 rifles or a pair of 120mm howitzers):
Leader(Ranks are the same as the english speaking armies of today for simplicity sake, who calls the shots. At a small size of 4-10, the unit leader would be designated Team Leader for 4-6, Squad Leader at 6-10):
Combat effectiveness (Are you 100% or have you been run through the ringer/ scattered?):
Location: (where in the city you are MAP IS WIP.):

Ballistic slug-throwers are just fine, cheap, and they work. I might use a railgun, particle beam/cannon, or laser in the unit as a force multiplier, like a SAW or a crew-served .50 cal, or like a Mk-19 grenade launcher. Again, not everybody would be able to do that.

That is what I was intending in a nutshell. You could be in the most advanced tech battle there is but most of the time war comes down to simple economics; if its cheap and effective that's what goes. OOC is being built right now. As of now I'm going to have a severely scattered and de-fanged armor unit stranded in the city with the rest of the infantry units. As a rule of thumb the units that were either pushed back in to the city or went chasing after the pincer by taking a shortcut through the city will have broken chain-of-commands. Lots of field promotions basically. Suggestions are appreciated!
I'll mostly have an OOC up tomorrow, all interested are encouraged to hash out the finer details of this once it's up.
Also, this was primarily a bunker buster force, the divisions that were sent out to slug it out with hardened and entrenched targets while forces were gathered and maneuvers were made to better fight said targets. They can handle their own but require support on a larger level to be ultimately effective.
Assests are as of yet undefined, and help would be great.

As long as the combined force of player characters makes sense to be together(nobody populates a whole division of sniper squads in a city) there is some leeway on what I have in mind. It'll be mostly infantry, which in itself is stocked with soldiers from the very start of this campaign to freshmeat that was shipped out a month ago to fill the quote on this attrition front. A random armor or survellance/espinioge unit has gotten stuck in the city while trying to pull back to intercept the pincer movement would also be good.

There is a FTL system in place. ODST style deployment is resource expensive and rather inefficient unless used in a sort of stormtrooper anti-terrorist way. Orbital bombardments with kinetic rods is pretty common, but its more of a matter of how much do you want to blow up to then go plant your flag on, eh? Railguns, chembased lasers, are all pretty standard but the old school firearms are cheap, efficient, and usually the easiest option to equip units with.
Ok, so you have a two nations going at it in interplanetary, interstar system worlds. The nation we would be playing has attack this world along with a few others in an ongoing push towards the eradication of this other nation. This is predominantly a racial sort of war, perhaps even based on creed. This all stems from a series of wars dating back nearly two centuries by now(somebody attacks this one, pushes that nation toward the brink sets up terms of surrender that sets a peace for a few decades before the other attacks again; rinse and repeat).

Anyway, this particular operation on this planet is reaching a standstill. The enemy is becoming more partisan, more guerrilla, and far more diehard. They've started pushing back, even through all the orbital bombardment and all the large scale land war, the hold on. The attrition is starting to make the Operation not worth the effort, and the death toll is rising.

A pincer movement has shut off a a couple of battalions in a large city, and enemy troops are so close orbital measure would do more harm than good for our troops. And thats where our story starts. Again, I am open for ideas or suggestions , and all support is greatly appreciated!
