Carneylus Creznek and ???

Day 2 afternoon-> night. The port. Near the park.

There was a sense of admiration for the dragon-kin, Valaeon. Few had the immense strength and durability that he held, and fewer still were having a good heart to go with it. The last day's dinner with Valaeon and the bovine-demihuman Minothea had been a refreshing time, where Carneylus felt like he could momentarily put his thoughts away. Thoughts of combat, thoughts of what would soon be on their doorsteps and what would have to be done. Was he ready for it?

For a large majority of his life, he had honed his skills to the best of his ability, learning from others but adapting it to his own style of fighting. But no matter how much training there were things in Avalia which were deemed impossible to fight against. The lich and his dragon were two of these things. Yet it was these two things which needed to fall in order for Avalia to be rescued. There were often thoughts wandering in the demi-humans mind, on just how many lives would be lost in this rebellion of the fairy princess. Were they truly unavoidable? Like rain falling down, you could not dodge all the raindrops. Or could you? It was questions such as these that always pried their way into his mind.

Of what could have been if he had been stronger, if he had been faster or wiser. Was there even a use to dwell on the past, when it was unchangable? For him it was something he couldn't avoid, it was after all what had made him into who he was this day. But who was he really? As he sat in the seaside park, duking out with his thoughts and remembering nightmares of the past. The hours seemed to fly him by, pondering on how he and Valaeon would be able to identify rebels from Aklenroth's minions.

Ultimately he found himself without a plan, they couldn't just openly gather them up without drawing attention and risks to the port and everyone in it. The winged man felt that he needed some more time to ponder, and taking a flight through the late evening sky was relaxing. He stood up from the finely made wooden pillar which he had sat upon, spreading his batlike wings out wide before flapping up into the air. Feeling the soothing wind clashing against his form as he dove through the sky was so liberating, he couldn't imagine a life without wings. Yet so many people didn't have wings, and they made do nontheless. He suspected that they wouldn't mourn something they never had to begin with.

While Carneylus was able to fly, there were others far better at it than him that was for certain. Yet it was from the sky, overlooking the port that his eyes noticed something on a nearby roof some humanoid stood. A stargazer? The bat-winged man decided to swoop down and land a distance away on the same roof the figure stood upon. The figure itself was winged, but not of the same variety as himself. As the figure turned around to gaze at him, even before he had properly landed he was met with a golden eyed gaze. The figure stood there with one arm by it's waist, dressed in a lightblue coat. His white long hair blowing slightly in the gentle wind, perched upon his shoulder sat a smaller figure which could easily be recognized as a pixie. But this person was something else. A fairy?

"Pardon the intrusion, I couldn't help but notice you from up above. Anything the matter or are you just enjoying the night air?" Carneylus began to address the two figures as he folded his wings, offering a courteus bow akin to how a butler would greet his employer. His dark ponytail blowing slightly in the wind and his red coat flickering in the wind, his dark eyes scanning the odd pair in front of him.

"How very perceptive, you have good eyes, bat-man. Yet I hear having good ears be far better. Oh nothing is the matter, yet at the same time... everything matters doesn't it? The night air brings out all manner of creatures of the night." The goldeneyed man said in a soft voice as a smirk crawled up on his lips.

"I am not following. There is no need for speaking in riddles. Please speak plainly." Carneylus explained before he noticed another presence, coming up to the roof of the building they stood on was none other than the young bovine girl, Minothea.

"Dingbat! What are you doing up on this roof? Whose that? I knew you were up to no good again!" Minothea spoke in a hushed manner almost to herself, as she was cloaking herself in a small black cloak and hood, coupled with a lantern she carried by her belt.

"Minothea, that is my line. What are you doing up on a roof in the middle of the night? You don't live here." The batwinged man threw a judging glance at the young girl, who replied by quickly looking elsewhere. "That's not important! Not your buisness creep." She chirped and then pointed to the mothwinged fairy in front of Carneylus. "What is that thing? A demon? Is that a pixie?" The bovine girl pointed with her right hand index finger to the goldeneyed man and the pixie on his shoulder.

"Little girl, it is past your bedtime for fairytales..." The fairy chuckled softly towards the small bovine girl

"Grr! I am not little!!" Minothea was preparing to leap out towards the fairy but was grabbed by the back of her collar by Carneylus. "Let go of me, I am going to run him over!" Minothea barked and her eyes flared up towards the fairy. But as she did the lantern by her belt loosened and began to trail down the roof, the light fading from it. The fairy looking man got airborne for a brief moment, but quickly fetched it before it slipped off the roof, by hurling it up into the air using his own boot, snatching the handle with his left hand.

"Temper temper..." He said in an amused manner and floated back to his former position as the bovine girl seemed to calm down. "Oh thanks... I guess." She said with a pouty face on seeing the fairy saving her lantern. "See? You can be nice! Good work! Almost pixie perfect!" The pixie cheered from the fairy's shoulder.

"Not at all little girl, it is I who shall thank you." He said with a chuckle, as he opened the lid of the lantern after a few moments. His eyes soon after darted to his own shoulder, and his right hand found itself snatching the pixie. It was then the pixie found itself in a new enviroment, in the form of the inside of a lantern, with the lid neatly attached on the top.

"H-hey! Let me out! Come on!" The muffled sounds of the pixie could be heard from within the partly glass container, it's fists slamming on the glass to no avail and with aq pouty facial expression.

"I knew that guy was a jerk! Let me down Carney! I am going to pound him into a pulp!" Minothea's nostrils flared and her eyes seemed to flare up, her tail wagging impatiently and her ears twitching.

"What is the meaning of this? What are you doing to that pixie?" Carneylus asked the fairy as his eyes narrowed, while the fairy placed the lantern down on a chimney.

"I was putting a lid on a little annoyance, is there a problem with that?" The fairy smirked towards the demi-bat, the golden eyes scanning him over.

"If there is something I cannot stand it is when the strong bully those unable to defend themselves." The demi-bat continued, letting Minothea down as she had calmed herself.

"Oh what are you going to do? Cry on me? The strong do what they wish, it is the natural order of things. It has been and shall always be so." The fairy chuckled as he walked away from the chimney, this time sideways across the roof, observing the bat-man.

"I am going to teach you a lesson in empathy. Prepare yourself." Carneylus drew his saber from it's sheathe and pointed it towards the fairy in front of him.

"So you are going to cry on me... well look at that. You are a fool to take on a moth in the dark." The fairy smirked and drew his own blade from it's sheath.

"You are the fool here. Bats catch moths in pitch black." Carneylus answered, his wings flickering briefly as if preparing to be used for flight at any moment.

"Amusing. I thought you hung upside down in your own feces and had gotten it backwards..." The fairy mocked in a beckoning manner using his free hand, as he walked across the roof very gently.

"Your mockery fall on deaf ears!" Carneylus yelled out and moved towards the fairy slowly, readying himself for the initial swinging motion of his blade.

"I hear your ilk have keen hearing! How very sound rumors indeed!" The darkwinged fairy hurled back with an amusing tone in his voice, his blade ready to thrust into the bat-man.

Elthrael had the initial speed and began to thrust his sword towards Carneylus, aiming for his arms, but the bat-man began to slowly change his posture mid-swing and the fairy felt something was seriously wrong and put his wings fully in reverse and getting out of the overhand swing from Carneylus saber as it fell down. But it never struck the roof of the building, the man had such fine control of it that it stopped far before that.

"You are quick!" Carneylus hurled towards his opponent, which replied in his own way. "And you are duller than your blade!" Elthrael taunted, but internally both men were having thoughts of their own.

'This fairy is different... just what is he? He avoided my blade at such remarkable speed, despite that I knew where he was going. I must not let my guard down here for a second.' Carneylus thought as he watched his opponent being airborne now.

'This man is able to see through my strikes? As if he could foresee them. Precognition? No demihuman possesses such things...A demi-bat. Echolocation... He senses my movements...' Elthrael's golden eyes feasted on his nightly opponent.

"Punch him a new jawline Carney!" Minothea yelled from behind the chimney as she pocketed the lantern with the pixie within it. Throwing a few air-jabs while she were at it.

His eyes wandered a second time over Xing's entire form, once she had told him her age.

"17? So you are a child after all, but also a pugilist? So the outfit is a mixture of practicality and tradition. Fair enough." The finely dressed man said in a ponderous manner, while cupping his own chin, his thumb under it and the index finger tapping his lips. He did have some questions, but after hearing her words she seemed to answer most of them. Such as why she had approached him, a chef in need of a critic?

"I wouldn't go as far as calling myself a food critic, but if the food or cake is flawed, one should point out the errors so that the baker can improve. I am not familiar with this Crocus you speak of, come to think of it though. It does sound like the name of a flower." Galdin said calmly towards Xing, before taking a soft breath to continue. "I am not an actor, but I find plays to be amusing at times. I am currently unemployed." The man explained after a slight bit of pondering, I mean it wasn't a lie. He didn't techincally have a work to go to, and being a noble was hardly a way of work. Or so he thought.

"So you are a practical, traditionalistic child chef? What's your name? No, allow me to introduce myself first. My name is Galdin Frayheart, I am a traveller from a distant area." He said, having risen up from his seat to offer a courteus bow in greeting. That he was a traveller and from a distant area wasn't a lie neither, his home was quite a distance away and he was out travelling from his home, his home which he saw as little more than a prison.

Baraian Paladice

Party: Kuroi, Ayita, Torvi and Caelan.

Baraian had left Torvi and Ayita the lead in the group, he was after all not the best with people, despite having been the leader of a group. It was more a neccessary thing, than something he wished to do. Belle and Kuroi had come to prove very valuable for the rebellion, the young woman was at least visually trying to lead and spur the flame in the heart of the people. Kuroi had however been seemingly drawn into it not by his free will but out of the same neccessity as Baraian.

Because the removal of Aklenroth from power were in the benefit of all. But the rebel forces were scattered all over Avalia, and without Belle or Risa Millinia the rebellion would surely suffer a major loss in morale. It had been imperative that they would push forwards, even if some of them die along the way. The four rebels had finally found a place to rest in the back of a cart, or was it a wagon? They all seemed the same to the dark elf.

It didn't take him long to slide down and actually fall asleep in a sitting position. There was no use avoiding falling asleep any longer after all. They needed the energy, and was his destiny to be betrayed by his temporary allies or ambushed by some of Aklenroth's guards then he was prepared for that possibility. Death was after all a thing he longed for, not just for himself but for every living creature in the world. The only thing which he was worried about was becoming one of Aklenroth's undead servants, forever bound and unable to escape. The fear was enourmous within him, that such a fate was even possible if the worst of luck would happen.

He had managed to find some shut eye, but there had been someone talking to the group even if they were on-and off dozing off into sleep or perhaps it was just him? He couldn't be bothered to focus on whomever was talking to them. If this man was intending on killing them, then there wouldn't be much Baraian could do about it at this point, he didn't have his dagger with him and he felt drained. His arm was still aching from the encounter with Terneus Andros aswell. While he knew that he was most surely the weakest fighter in the group, that in itself gave him a position he favored. Where he wasn't expected to create miracles. There was something highly dislikable about hope itself, but at the same time it was hope that was driving him forwards.

Hope that someday he could put things into motion to kill everyone in the world. A war unlike any other, created by Aklenroths death and a few well chosen whispers. To pin everyone against each other and then provide information to all sides so that their armies would all suffer as much as possible.

Terneus Andros

Oh the way to the River fairy kingdom...

It was a sight of darkness that met the elven governor, was he dead? No there was no way he could be dead. He was to rich to die. Too rich in character, too rich in amas, charm, wit, beauty and so much more. But the thing he could feel the most of was now his body being suppressed by something being on top of him, an odd building. Terneus tried to stand up but he felt the hut itself not moving an inch from where it had fallen on top of him.

He began to pant and cough, how had this building gotten the better of him? Better of him? There was no way he would allow himself to be beaten by an inanimate object. He would be the laughing stock for generations to come, and this was something he could not allow. He felt the anger within him swell until it reached the boiling point as he shot out his light powers from himself, sending the debris on top of him flying in all directions and some of it disintigrating on the spot. Then he was met with light again. He could see. The hut was gone and so were all of his food and drink supplies.

"Ahhh!" He gasped when he looked back at the remnants of the sack with just a scorched big hole in it. Not even the wine had survived.

"Hnn..." He got to his feet, clenching his fists as he did, he felt how he got instantly warmer in his face and one of the stitches that held together his facial would snapped.

"Ack!" He lamented and grabbed unto his face in the swiftest yet gentlest way he could.

"I'll flay that beast and his dark elf friend for this..." He spitted to the earth itself, as if cursing it for having done this to him.

But there was no use to linger in the forest, and thus the governor began the long and tiresome journey through it, scaring away all manner of animals and things in his path. Cutting down trees that simply were in his way rather than going around them. After all, he was an important person. No. The most important person. As the next day dawned he came upon a sight, that he for a moment thought was an illusion. He rubbed his weary eyes and blinked a few times. Further down there was a road, and upon said road a carriage was travelling. Not just any carriage but his second carriage. The first thought crossing his mind was joy, followed by a gasp and anger. Who had dared to take his carriage out for a ride without him? The elven noble made his way down to the road and waved both his arms.

"By order of the dawnlord, hold it right there!" He yelled out as loud as he could and the man holding the reins brought the carriage to a halt. This man was someone he recognized, it was one of his men which had been left behind in his elven home.

"Milord Andros, is that you?!" The finely dressed kknight yelled out as soon as the carriage stopped.

"What does it look like you idiot? What are you doing out here in my carriage?!" The elven governor stormed closer with fierce steps as the carriage doors were opened and two more elves appeared. Another knight and the other was a shorter blonde elf which he knew very well. It was his advisor and local aide, Halma. Who had been left to govern while Terneus had attended the ball and searched Roshmi for humans.

"Terneus! By the elder elves, what has happened to you?!" Halma spoke out and blinked his eyes in sheer surprise as the governor stormed closer and closer, until he found himself having the governor's firm and noble hand grabbing unto his shirt.

"Halma! It is LORD TERNEUS ANDROS! And I ask the questions here! What are you doing out here?! I didn't give you permission to take my carriage! But... I can oversee this minor thing." Terneus allowed himself to regain his composure and brushed off Halma's chest momentarily before adjusting his own dirtied attire.

"I shall board my carriage right now and we are going to return home to regroup. The humans have slipped away... according to my plan." He explained as he moved towards the doorway leading into the carriage, pushing the second knight out of his path.

"My appologies my lord, I didn't think throughly... I was overcome with joy on seeing you. B-but we cannot return to our home... there's been complications." Halma explained ans his entire form seemed to sink in on itself. The ever so patient and understanding noble governor raised his even more noble eyebrow and turned to look over his own shoulder. "Hm? What? Speak up!" He turned quickly and walked up to look at Halma.

"Wait.. who did you leave in charge? There was only three of you... don't tell me you.." Terneus head tilted slightly as he gave his aide a judging look.

"In your absence, there was an uprising back home. They began to execute your... I mean our supporters, using your highnessess guilliotine. Then they came for the tower..." Halma said and gulped slightly, looking more nervous by the second.

"Nevermind the useless fools, I had planned to get rid of them eventually anyways. You cannot trust those slithery second rate nobles anyway, but my tower? What about my tower?! Did they break into it?!" Terneus voice raised and his eyebrows twitched as he waited for his aide to continue.

"M-my lord.. when they came to your door... we... got scared and they would kill us if we didn't... please try to understand... we... opened the doors..." Halma said in a tone that was both filled with shame and fear.

"YOU DID WHAT?! YOU IDIOT! YOU LET THEM ROAM INTO MY HOME AND STEAL MY THINGS?!" Terneus screamed aloud so loud that the knights flinched in reaction to it.

"No my lord, when we opened I deviced a plan to save what we could so.. I took a torch and opened the door and then... I put the tower on fire.. and faked that we were with the rebels... please I had no choice..." Halma held out both his hands in a begging manner and looked at Terneus with pleading eyes. The governor who was a man of great age, wisdom, charisma and knowledge of elven culture took the news well. Another stitch on his face snapped.

"Halmaaaaaaa!" The governor screamed as his noble hands wrapped around the shorter elf's neck and throat, lifting him up and pressing his body up against the side of his carriage, choking him bit by bit.

"You bastard! You put my castle, my home to the torch! How daaaare yooou! All of my amas! All of my collection! My wine! My garments! All gone! I shall kill you for this!" The silverhaired elf began to press more and more against the shorter elf's throat, and Halma was trying to speak and hold on without passing out.

"My lord! Master Halma was able to save some of your garments, food and drinks! It's in the carriage! We were going to find you! It was master Halma's idea!" The knight closest to the carriage door said and tried to easen the situation. Terneus eyes darted to the side and momentarily let go off Halma who fell to the ground. The governor soon after went up to backhand the knight across the face.

"Can't you see I am busy?! But fine! I shall postpone your immediate death for now, Halma, I require you to pay back for your incompetence! And that useless commander Feldrin got himself killed in Roshmi! And it was you who recommended him!" The governor barked out before going into the carriage looking over his supplies and finding an outfit he could make do with.

"A change of plans! We are going to the River fairy kingdom, those disgusting dark elves should still have it under watch and we can catch an amora from there and head north. We shall confiscate supplies from the fairies along the way. We are after all servants of the king it is fully within our right to do so." Terneus explained as he began to undress inside of the carriage and dress up in some new clothes and clean himself with some towels and water.

"My lord... isn't that banditry?" The knight next to the door asked, without looking inside the carriage.

"No you dimwitted beastbrain, all of these lands rightfully belong to the elves. Besides what are the fairies going to do? Stop us? Please." He allowed himself a rare amused chuckle.

"This setback of losing my precious home... and wealth shall be remedied in time. The elven gods have a master plan, and I am in the main role. I shall become richer tenfold no... thousandfold! Hah hah hah!" He allowed himself a cruel laugh as he peeked out from the carriage now dressed fully in a black overcoat with golden details to it. "Well? Get into the carriage, we have work to do. Pull your idiotic self together Halma or I shall snuff you out like a candle!" He barked and soon enough the carriage was on it's way towards the River Kingdom of the fairies.

The second piece of cake found it's way to his mouth in a smooth manner, but it came accompanied by someone approaching on his location.

A common commoner? No. An uncommon commoner. A foreigner of some kind most surely. Of this he was convinced. Was it someone seeking directions? He allowed himself to softly breathe out of his nose, taking his time to taste the piece of cake until finally swallowing it. To multitask was something he had gotten used to, so he adjusted his hearing to it's regular level, causing the initial muffled sounds of the girl which had approached him to become more clear.

"The cakes are of acceptable quality, but are held back by not having better ingredients. And what exactly is Crocus? I am not familiar with it. I however find enjoyment in trying out a few new things, providing ofcourse they are not revolting. Whereof that is enough to label me as a connoisseur, I do not know. As for me being deep in thought, I wouldn't go that far... this is after all just a piece of cake. However I find enjoyment in analyzing it's contents." He said as he placed down the plate with the cake on the armrest and also his cup, before smoothly crossing one leg over the other. His eyes looking Xing over from top to toe, looking over her outfit, her haircut and trying to determine her age.

"Are you here with your parents? A child should not be alone in a place like this." The man held out one of his hands, with the palm facing upwards as if what he just said came as natural for him. "Also what is with that outfit? I've never seen anyone dressed like that before. Some ceremonial outfit?" Galdin said aloud, which sounded more like a verbal thought than a question. He threw a second look over Xing's outfit in the same inspecting manner as he did with the cakes.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

He had allowed himself to slip away from the group the past evening, going into the forest on his own. To most people such an action may seem suicidal, to walk into the dark unknown depths of a forest, where all manner of creatures could dwell. Yet to Elthrael, this was just another night like any other. Most of his life had been spent in the forests after all, he could identify the various scents with ease. To what plants, animals, people or monsters they belonged to. While many fairies possessed the ability to understand and converse with animals of various kinds, the darkwinged fairy shared none of those things. After all, what purpose was there in speaking to ones dinner? Like how it were with people, the better you would know someone the harder it would be to kill them.

The mothwinged fairy had created several hut looking structures in the forest, and surrounded them with various poisonous thorned vines. The fairy even made certain to create a few pitfalls by moving roots underground would some creature attempt to sneak up on him at night. Would something had been so foolish. Yet his night went by uneventful as he found some time to rest up in a tree, where he had masked his presence by altering the top part of the tree, adding protective bark around him and vines covered with ferns to cover his presence.

As another day dawned, the fairy simply allowed the vines to part way and he began to fly back in the direction of where he had last seen the group. Would they had left without him it wouldn't had been the end of his world, and once he arrived to the scene he saw that indeed this was the case.

'It seems you won't be able to hear the beginning of the story. No matter. You may still come to know of the ending, unless your folly kills you first.' He thought momentarily, and simply walked past where the camp had been last night. His eyes scanning the surrounding foilage, his ears on high alert for any signs of trouble. The forest was after all a dangerous place, even if he was someone very used to it. There was no use in trying to tail the four which had seemingly left him alone, they were certainly far away by the time he arrived. The darkwinged fairy was not upset however, as it allowed him yet another glimse into their very person, what kind of people they were. After all, it wasn't he who abandoned Elsea but the other way around. She chose to go with Risa and Kyran. And as a result Risa was now most likely captured, Kyran became a beast, Dionaea and Jean had died... and Elsea was amidst new strangers. But who knew how long that would last.

'How much different could it had been, if you would have followed me? But it is like my mentor once said, a path not chosen is a path that never existed to begin with. To dwell upon it serves no use, for what is, simply is.' He thought as he wandered through the wilderness, his ears picking up the sounds of various animal sounds, and his eyes wandering over the vegitation.

His travel through the wilderness came at relative peace, until he heard a plea for help which made him stop in his tracks, his ears twitching to determine where it came from and he made a slight detour to inspect from a safe distance. And once he had observed what had caused the sound he merely chuckled and approached. Before him, lodged inbetween two trees was a spiderweb and within the web a small creature was stuck helplessly, looking at him with pleading eyes. The mothwinged fairy recognized what this creature was, it was a mischevious kind of creature, whose kind was known to enjoy trickery and deception.

"Hey! Thank the dustmother! I knew some big oaf would hear me!" A small but very stingy voice could be heard, as Elthrael's eyes wandered over the unlucky creature which found itself stuck.

"A pixie... My my, it seems you are in quite the sticky situation." Elthrael said in an amusing manner, there was something highly amusing in seeing one of the michevious and slightly annoying creatures having gotten stuck.

"Help me! Cut me loose! I can show you a treasure! Pixie promise!" The female pixie nodded as much as she could with her tiny head at the demonic looking fairy in front of her.

"A treasure hm? You think a silvertongue will be effective on a fairy such as I? You are just trying to save yourself from being someone elses dinner." Elthrael said calmly, looking around momentarily for what spider had made the web or anything else lying in wait.

"Okay, okay! There's no treasure in the material sense, but I swear on my pixie pride that I will repay you! Just help me out of this!" The small pixie struggled and began trying to bite the web to save herself.

"You have nothing that I desire. But I shall free you from your suffering..." The darkwinged fairy's eyes narrowed slightly as he drew his blade from it's sheathe and prepared to make a swing ahead.

"No! Wait! I don't want to d-" The pixie's words were cut short as the blade cut into... the web. She was now free. The pixie began to quickly struggle on the ground to rid itself of the remaining web still latching unto it. Meanwhile Elthrael sheathed his blade again after wiping some web away from it. He then proceeded to walk slowly from the scene, stepping over to avoid stepping on the pixie.

"H-hey! Wait up! I am talking to you! Heeeey!" The pixie kicked off the remainder of the web, and gave it a glare before taking flight up into the air, hovering near the much larger fairy. "Thanks for saving me! I won't forget this! I can help you through the forest! Nothing beats pixie perception!" The pixie said with a broad smile and cheery manner, while she was making the fairy's left shoulder into it's landing pad.

Elthrael momentarily stopped while he noticed the dimunitive girl having landed on his shoulder, his golden eyes darted to the side to glance at her. Then he reached his right hand up to his shoulder, and flicked the pixie off his shoulder with the use of a single finger, sending her hurling through the air and into the vegetation.

"Aouw!" The pixie rubbed it's rear and peeked out from two leaves. "That was mean! You are a mean and weird fairy! But you rescued me, maybe you just need a good councious helping you to the right path!" The pixie took a deep breath and pressed out her chest before darting through the air again, hovering next to the fairy's ear.

"Listen! I am coming with you. It's the duty of the pixie patrol anyways to help lost travellers and you look pretty lost to me!" She chirped and placed both her hands at her waist defiantly.

"They didn't exaggerate the annoyance of your kind at all it seems. Fine. Follow but do ward your tongue, there are more things afoot here than spiders." The fairy explained as he thought he momentarily picked up the scent of... ogres.

"I'll be pixie perfect for your adventure. What's your name? Are you going to ask me about my name?" The pixie said and landed yet again on the fairy's shoulder, this time not being flung or swatted.

"My name is Elthrael, and no I will not ask for your name." The fairy replied shortly and walked onwards.

"Elthrael? You are a really weird fairy aren't you? I'm Pixette Silverwing Purpleheartsy Stealalltheshinies of the dusty forest pixie patrol. I also once defeated a goblin once, but it was in a dream." The pixie exclaimed cheerfully and clapping it's hands together while bowing it's head.

"I feel so very very emotional right now that I know not how to contain it. Maybe if I can find a jar with a lid..." The fairy muttered as he kept moving. Then after a day of wandering and listening to the overly talkative pixie, he finally laid his eyes on the port town. 'Now.. let us see if the chaos of Roshmi shall be sung anew...' The fairy smirked as he made it out of the forest and approached the entrance of the port. The pixie still sitting on his shoulder.

"Hold it! Who goes there? State your buisness!" A guardsman yelled out as the moth fairy approached the main gates.

"Ahh... nothing like blind guards to lighten the mood. My name is Elthrael, my buisness is..." He started and then paused.

"Your buisness?" The guard repeated impatiently.

"...is not your buisness. That's for certain. Because you have the awfully important work to watch over a doorway, just a step up from being a doormat." Elthrael said amusingly.

"Are you mocking me? We want no troublemakers here!" The guard barked out.

"Mock you? Oh I wouldn't dream of doing that..." He allowed himself to smirk amusingly as the pixie gave him a glare, as it sat perched on his shoulder looking at the interaction.

"Whatever... you can enter but you better not be causing any problems or you will have to answer to me." The guardsman explained and motioned to his friends to let the odd-looking fairy to enter.

"Oh... you are most merciful and kind, I shall make certain to keep this in mind for later..." Elthrael mused as he passed them by, his smirk allowing his cornerteeth to become briefly visible. If there was a way to unsettle the guardsmen, it had to happen.

'Good grief. What a waste of brainmatter.' He thought as he slipped into the port town.

"You know. You could try be abit more kind, it's not that hard." The pixie said in a hushed tone to his ear.

"Kind? I was kind just now. Any other day I might have considered relieving him of his guard duty. A little whack at the back of his head could only improve his thinking capabilities at this point." The mothwinged fairy explained as he walked through the port, throwing glances about and sniffing the air.

'It reeks of fish and unwashed people. Despite being so near the water that is quite the achievement.' He mused in his head before he took a leap and landed on a nearby roof to give him a better overview of the port. "I have never been this close to places like this before. It's so different from the forests." The pixie stated and held out a hand above her eyes, scouting the area.

"Yes, most unpleasing but sometimes one must tread into the mud in order to find the key which has been dropped. Providing ofcourse there is such a key..." The fairy chuckled in an amused manner, placing one of his hands resting at the pommel of his sheathed sword and the other by his waist. The pixie blinked it's eyes at him, not understanding what he was talking about.

Baraian Paladice

The battle with their unknown attacker had further drained the four sewer warriors of their strength. As if things had not been bad enough to begin with travelling through the reeking place they found themselves in. Kuroi had pushed himself hardest of them all, and now he seemed unable to lead them. The dark elf quickly considered the options and decided they indeed couldn't afford to stop. Their attacker was not alone for certain, they had to continue onwards.

After all the success of the rebellion lied with these humans, and they had to be brought to Belle and the others. That was surely the only way to defeat the lich.

"We have to keep moving... help me pick him up." Baraian said in his monotone voice, but with a hint of urgency. "We cannot stay. We have to continue..." The dark elf stumbled over towards Kuroi and Ayita and reached down to try lift Kuroi by his arm, placing it around his shoulder.

"If we stay here we will not last long. We will become afflicted by illness, our wounds will fester and ultimately more foes will show up... We must seek refuge in the forests, only there will they lose trace of us." He explained in a hurried manner, looking over towards Torvi. "Best dress the wound as soon as we can." He gritted his teeth as the pain of his still weakened arm made it's presence known. His eyes soon afterwards darted to Ayita. "You lead the way...I cannot defend you alone. We need him." The dark elf nodded towards Kuroi.

Carneylus Creznek

Carneylus looked as if he had been struck by an arrow of accusation when Valaeon addressed the fact that there had been a gambling thing going on.

"I.. well... when you put it that way..." Carneylus began to rub the back of his neck slightly. "I think it was more she betting with me than the other way around... uh.. beating people up? You make it sound alot worse than it is. It was just a spur of the moment." Carneylus looked at his draconic friend, and he attempted to look sincere despite the fact that he had beaten up those dark elves pretty badly. The duo's conversation was soon interupted by the young girl which was moving back to them at quick and angry steps.

"What a load of crap! You meant to do them in from the start you sleazy flying dog! And I am no child! I am fourteen years old! Also did I hear something about my horns?!" She pouted, pointed and stared at Valaeon as if his next words were a matter of life and death, that or being bullrushed by a raging bull in pint size.

Carneylus felt a slight drop of sweat fall down his neck as the conversation proceeded forwards. "Ahaha... oh that's right. I think I kind of did beat them up. Sorry for not letting you know about it, but I didn't want to beat them up that badly. They just happened to be harrassing the merchants. And if what you are saying is indeed so, we should prepare some room for them to rest at and provide food." The winged man said in a thoughtful manner, as he reached one of his hands up to his chin, looking Valaeon over.

"For who? Don't tell me you are with the reb-!" The young girl began to speak, but was soon silenced by the winged man, which had reached down and placed a hand before her mouth, just managing to keep it close for a brief moment before she bit his hand, causing him to losen the grip.

"Hands off! Old creep!" She snarled and cussed, but seemed to calm down quickly. "I knew you were dumb, but that dumb? Wow! But I get it! I won't tell anyone unless they pay me a big fat sack of amas... And you better buy me dinner later just to be sure!" Minothea gave a smug and sly grin to the duo, there was a big hint of playfulness on her face but also signs of understanding.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Kenia and Bowyn's comments on his return had been less than joyful, it didn't take an expert to see or hear that. But despite that, the moth fairy prefered this company before what the other seemed to offer. He didn't know who it were that Elsea travelled with, but the possibility of her lighting things on fire was making lingering with such a group a less appealing thing. While he felt he could still deal with her, there was absolutely no gain in fighting her. She was the kind of person which didn't submit unless you broke her spirit alltogether, which in itself would make her less effective for killing thch.

Elthrael set his attention on Bowyn after having given Kenia a soft snorting sound in greeting. He landed next to Zephyrin, while still keeping his eyes on Bowyn.

"You could say that. I simply do not prefer to keep company with humans which cannot control their powers. What was causing the fire was a reckless human girl, which I've met before, and seemingly she had three new companions after her former had their individual misfortunes. The girl in question while possessing a power capable of harming the lich, she cannot kill him. Those who aren't controlling the power are in turn controlled by the power. This flamehaired girl, Elsea is the kind which burn all the bridges, ultimately leaving her with nowhere left to go." While he had noticed the newly arrived girl about the same time as the rest did, he chose to not focus on her until he had addressed Bowyn, but now as that was over he scanned the new arrival with his golden eyes as he stood next to Zephyrin.

'A travelling trader through this forest all by herself and without anything to trade with? Hmph.. just how dimwitted do you take us for girl? You are here for another reason. I wonder what that is...' He thought as he silently observed the girl as Zephyrin was introducing herself to the newcomer. The golden-eyed fairy knew well enough to never approach anyone asking for directions while holding a map. It was a commonly used ruse of tricksters to pickpocket or sneakattack others, he wouldn't fall prey to such a thing. If this girl was foolish enough to attempt such a thing in this company however was doubtful at best.

"Ahh... a trader on a little stroll through the forest of bewilderment all by herself hm? I am Elthrael. Afraid I cannot help you with that map issue however... but you are free to join this forest parade of the jolly she-elf. Ever heard of it? They say it was invented by the most sourest of elven women." The moth fairy added in a smug manner as he threw a side-glance towards Kenia's direction.

'Getting lost despite having a map? Thinking she can fool us into believing she's some kind of trader without goods? Either she is a great deceiver or the biggest fool yet. Good grief...' The moth fairy thought and smirked, while keeping his eyes in the direction of Kenia. "But do let us get a move on, there are things which need to be confirmed. Also..." Elthrael smirked as he took out two apples from his robe, throwing one each towards Zephyrin and Clara. "Eat to live, or live to be eaten. I guess either one works, one is more prefered than the other though."

Arriving in Magnolia

The airship was approaching Magnolia, steady in it's advance, as it seemed to caress the very skies it flew upon. While the airship had a dining area and various other travellers on board, Galdin found himself on the roof of the thing, just under the massive baloon that kept it afloat. There was railings up there to make sure those needing some fresh air or take in the sights wouldn't accidentally slip off.

'It certainly looks far different from above.' The uniformed man thought to himself, as he laid eyes on the city below, it was bigger than he had thought. It had been something he only had seen from his home in the distance, a place where there were supposed to be alot of people. Carrying on with their daily lives, like rodents running in a wheel as far as he understood it. Much like his own life had been until his father's passing.

'If a bird cannot spread it's wings and soar it might aswell be dead or a rat. Is there a difference even?' He liked the comparison of himself as a bird, who finally could spread it's wings and soar the skies and perceive all there would be under them. Even while fully aware that not all things he would likely see would be appealing.

When the time finally came to get off the airship, the man simply went down from the top of the airship to the stairs leading down into the dining area and then further down to the ramp that was sending the passengers off. There had been a few others onboard the ship with him, but not enough to make him have to squeeze past them. He really did not like that idea at all. What was it with people not leaving space for others? The gentle breeze meeting him as he finally exited the airborne transport was pleasant, it caught hold of his hair, forcing the nobleman to put his locks behind his ear so that they wouldn't obscure his face to any unlookers. His white and red cloak however was blowing in the wind unhindered as he descended the final ramp towards the ground below. There was something appealing in descending from a higher ground.

'Like a swan landing in a pond with ugly ducklings. As long as they don't touch me.' He thought to himself on the comparison if it was a fair one, if nothing else at least he was fair and honest. The slight trip towards the city had, despite the distance made him desire to test out some cake and tea. Galdin attuned to his magic, and allowed his sight to increase by just a slight bit as he gazed around for anything that would resemble a café. The uniformed nobleman had to walk for quite a distance however before he managed to find what he was looking for.

The small café which he had found did have various cakes and confectories on display and did offer tea, it didn't take long before he found himself ordering two different pieces of cake and the best tea available. He placed the required payment unto the counter, before taking his cake and tea to sit down outside of the café itself, finding a bench under a neat looking tree. He sat down. The mage's magic began to once again alter his senses, he amplified his scent just a little bit so that he could feel just how the tea itself smelled of. It passed his noble judgement, so he decided to take a sip. It was what he considered a mediocre kind, not overly rich in flavour nor completely lacking in it. It would have to do.

The nobleman placed the tea-cup on the armrest of the bench itself and then he held the small plate with the cakes in his hand. The spoon which he had received was not of silver, which in itself was more of a sin than having mediocre tea, but likewise it would have to do in a pinch. He allowed the spoon to slide into the first of the cakes, revealing it's raspberry filling, the cream and chocolate chips within it. He reached the spoon to his lips and into his mouth, carefully analyzing the taste itself of the cake. It was not a bad cake, despite coming from a commoner's bakery. 'Not bad for common commoners. But it could use some cinnamon... more cream... and a topping.' It was perhaps abit harsh, but at least it was honest. And honesty was a good trait according to most. The mage took a deep breath and took in the air surrounding the area. It had certainly a different smell than what he was used to at the mansion, with various elements he couldn't quite identify. Was it the perfume commoners were using? Was it someone who couldn't bake bread properly? Or perhaps it was one of those strange fur ridden creatures with the fluffy ears? He wasn't certain, and that itself was a new experience.

Galdin allowed himself to take a soft sigh, then he took hold of the cup of tea again and brought it to his lips for a sip. The noise around him was getting momentarily louder as a group of travellers began to walk by and point at the various buildings, as if it was the first time they've saw a structure. One in particular, a woman guiding the group had a very high pitched voice and that itself was disturbing the young noble's moment of solitude. He wasn't one to hold back on using his magic where necessary, and this was certainly such a moment, he did a soft whistle to himself and his own hearing went down a notch to the point the woman's voice became but a distant muffled sound. As if he had a pair of headphones on his head.

'Why can't they talk in a more soothing tone?' The man shook his head softly, setting the cup of tea down and taking the spoon to the second piece of cake. This one was looking rich in chocolate with berries of various kind on the top.'You look rich. Like me. Irresistable.' He almost allowed himself to smile as he addressed the cake, before slowly bringing a spoonful to his mouth.
