Yeah, sorry that took so long.

But hey, we're coming into summer, and you have to take the opportunities to get outside and enjoy it!

Suavo

Suavo moved cheerily through the burgeoning festival site. Swirling lights of many colours popped up all over as more and more carnival magic came together, and the bright little matoran moved as if he were one of them. He called out loud greetings and friendly jibes to many others as they passed by, leaping like a spark of flame between each new encounter before spinning off towards the next.

When Rauta stopped to buy some Dikapi, Suavo picked up a bottle of deep green bula juice as tall as his kanohi and flourished it about as he continued on towards his own tent.Pushing back the flap, he flopped down onto the bright green camp cot inside, leaving the chairs opposite for the other matoran.

"So, my friend" he began, "what brings you to my humble tent on this wonderful night?"

Kumanu

The Bo-matoran wasn't taking his reassurances to heart, and even though there was truly little danger, the fear still remained. It seemed that there was nothing else for it. He couldn't let the Bo-matoran goo home alone and in the dark.

"I can" Kumanu told him. "Though I could go with you if you want"

Kumanu

"I wouldn't worry about that if I were you" Kumanu assured the Bo-matoran. "You saw how keen he was to get away from matoran and anything to do with us just now. He'll be tired and just wanting to sleep somewhere safe for the rest of the night. Picking a fight should be the last thing that brakas will want to do."

"You'll be fine. Really."
I'm waiting for a Kelsier post, since Andica is helping to cage those felidrakes under his cloak.

Let's do a little timeskip.

Kumanu and Hura are almost ready to go their separate ways, and we can say that the three at the festival all had a good time and talked long into the night without going into too many specifics.

That leaves everyone ready to launch into the festival once Tree comes back into action.

Suavo

The other matoran still seemed awkward about the rock, even though Suavo had attempted to make light of it and brush the incident off. The thing that surprised him, however, was her dialect. As a le-matoran, he had expected her to be adding in extra words, not dropping them out. It was intriguing, to say the least. A matoran like this would have some great stories to share, he was sure. Before he could formulate a reply, however, another, industrious-looking matoran joined the pair.

"Why yes, yes I am!" he replied to the newcomer, taking his hand and shaking it enthusiastically. "And, no, come on in! We were just getting to know each other. This lovely lady is named Aiko, by the way. Why don't you both come back to my tent with me, and we can have this conversation over a few cups of bula juice?

Kumanu

"It's a powered disk" Kumanu explained. "They're used all over the place in the inner districts, and there are all different types. This one is a levitation disk, which lets me float the cage instead of lifting it, and similar kanoka in my vehicle float that, while others give it speed. I'll be fine, as soon as I've dropped off this brakas. Speaking of which..."

The white and blue matoran climbed on top of the wooden crate and started using a crowbar to lever off the door. Nails creaked loudly as they bent and then came free as Kumanu jumped off of the crate to put all his weight down on the bar. The cage slammed open, and its occupant barrelled out. The monkey didn't look back as it sprinted away into the forrest, keen to escape its imprisonment.

(is plural of a matoran, matorans?)

Short answer: No.

Long answer: This goes back to the early days of BIONICLE when LEGO was grabbing a bunch of words and grammar from the maori language, and in maori, like other languages with polynesian roots, does not pluralise by adding an s or anything else to the end of the noun. Instead, plurality is determined by the other words in a sentence.

This set the pattern that would be continued on long after they stopped taking so much from Maori. Since we have one toa or six toa, one rahi or a dozen rahi, other, non-maori words like matoran also adopted this pattern. So, one matoran, two matoran, many matoran.

The Ignika could and did, that is true. It was only able to do that because the masks in question were already alive.

The first time, the Red Star didn't change the Inika's kanohi. They had already had their matoran masks confiscated by Karzhani and replaced with (powerless versions of) their inika masks when they passed through his realm.

If we're just going to use the standard toa stone method of transformation, our characters will have to start with the (disk-based) type of masks they'll have as toa. Either that or after they get transformed, the suva opens up like it did for the Toa Metru when they chose their tools, only the Kongero Nui suva will also contain a selection of great kanohi.
