Penelope was the "popular" girl in high school meaning that she tended to be harsh to a lot of other girls. She felt that to keep herself on top, she needed to make sure everyone else knew that they couldn't beat her. She didn't realize the mistake until she got in to college and she couldn't make herself friends, because at that point looks didn't mean everything. There were plenty of pretty girls with great personalities. It took almost all four years of college for her to be nice to almost everyone she met.

She still holds some of those traits though. She doesn't take well to people trying to act better than her or talk down to her. She's terrible about holding grudges and she can get very possessive over her friends and family.

Penny still struggles with making amends for the things she had done as a teenager, she doesn't want to feel like that person anymore. Which is why when she learned about the program she signed up instantly, but she didn't want to go alone. Her and Leo haven't been friends since they got in to high school, Penelope wasn't nice to her brother and while she didn't pick on him specifically they didn't get along. During this trip she's really hoping to change that and get them back on to talking terms.

Leo's always been very normal, even when his sister rose to popularity and made their name seem bad, the teachers loved him. He played lacrosse for his school, but otherwise was the smart kid who was somewhat shy. If there's a party he'll still go with his friends, he's just never felt the need to try and get himself as well known as his sister seems to think is necessary.

As far as the "popular" group went, he wasn't part of it, but he's always had a group of friends he gets along with. He's always hung out with a lot of teammates and let's himself hang back in the group. Helping people isn't something new to Leo, he's always wanted to be able to do that. He's still considering finishing he's schooling and becoming a full doctor, rather than the RN he is currently.

Leo wasn't planning to do anything like this, he's just finished college and he was planning to get an internship or maybe get an actual job somewhere. However, Penelope begged him to come with her and he's always been a sucker for his sister, even when she was rude in high school. Penny was actually born a few minutes before him, but most of the time Leo feels like the protective older brother.

There parents would have rather they both used the degrees they just got rather than run off to travel the world, but they still know it's a great opportunity. Things like this don't just come along whenever. They've accepted it and just hope they both get jobs when they come back to the states.

Everyone dreams of a road trip when they finish school or maybe in the middle of college, but how could they ever afford it? For a small group it's actually become manageable and a real dream. A new organization has been working to send men and women in their twenties overseas to experience life and help make it nicer for some people.

Whether it's helping doctors in third world countries, working at an orphanage, building a house, or running an after school daycare for kids in the big cities. That's all that must be done for these young adults to get their trip paid for. They get to travel by bus and boat to get to the different countries and must live together while they're there. Sometimes they share a small house and other times they may just have a little one room cabin. It depends on what the company can find for them in these countries.

So welcome to your adventure, how do you plan to spend it?

This is a loose character sheet, please make it your own. I just wanted to give the general idea. Add as many pictures and gifs and quotes as you want. One thing I did not want to include was sexual orientation because in real life you have to figure that out for yourself if your interested in someone.

Description: Sophia is tall, standing at 5'10" she is commonly one of the fastest of her friends. She's a solid 175 lbs (someone please tell me if this sounds right for someone tall and muscular. I'm not that tall.) Mostly all legs which really helps with her kicks and she used to be awkward with her height, but now she can use it to her advantage.
History: Sophia was born in to the Aldershade family with only one brother who is older than her and already off in Indris. Her parents are both there as well and considered which institute to send her to. She loved the idea of the LA one as she always wanted to be close to the water and had begged from the time she was ten that she could go to this institute to train. She still loves her family and can't wait to see them, but she is ready to be back in the big city and getting to fight actually demons, not the kid runs they go on most of the time.
Personality: She's more of a timid girl, doesn't want to be the leader of the pack. She'll let others make the decisions and take all the fame, but she doesn't have a problem talking to others. She's not shy necessarily, she just doesn't like the spotlight. She's got a horrible sense of humor, but tries to make jokes constantly to break any tension or just because she believes she's funny. If there is an option between going out to a club and staying to spare and practice, she will always take the second. Though, she can get a bit wild when she needs to let loose or risk breaking down from stress.
Likes: The way runes look on people's skin, most downworlders actually (don't let her parents catch her saying that), magic, winter, and the color orange, like a sunset.
Dislikes: Loud people (especially when angry), cooking, being sent on simple jobs that twelve year olds could do, and most cats.
Weapon of Choice: Typically a crossbow or a sword, depending on the day and who she is with.

Sexuality: She's almost 100, there's only so many people of one gender out there.
Race: Vampire- day walker
Personality: Penelope was quite cruel when she was first turned, she didn't understand how something like this could happen to her. In time though she's learning to forgive and feels that she needs to be more of a teacher than antagonist. She struggles to fit in with her people sometimes, but would always side with them even if she believes there could be a better option.
Bio: Penelope was turned when she was 19 actually, just on the edge of her 20th birthday. Her friends had decided to take her out early to celebrate as they were all going to be away during the actual month. It'd been a scary night and most of her friends had died, she doesn't know why she survived, but she woke up buried and craving the taste of blood. It was hard to find a clan to take her in since she didn't know who had originally bitten her, but after moving around quite often she finally settled down in LA.

Personality: Sophia ended up with an egg color that usually goes with dark magic, which seems rather unbelievable. She's a timid girl who wouldn't be the type to go out killing things if she didn't feel threatened. She's always been shy in large groups, but tries to make up for it by being a bit louder when she's around fewer people. She has a terrible sense of humor, not that it ever stops her and can come off a little rude because of that. Timid may be a word used to explain her, but she doesn't have much of a filter between her brain and mouth when she's actually talking.
Likes: Reading, winter, flowers (how unfortunate she can't grow them), the way that eggs look when they're just about to hatch and there are little cracks running through them.
Dislikes: Heat, hand to hand combat (Not that she won't kick your ass from far away), cats, and the way people look out others with black dragons.
History: Sophia doesn't have some sob story about how she wanted to get away from her family. Her father was a dragon rider until he got seriously injured and his dragon actually ended up dying. She was a beautiful dragon and Sophia loved going out to see her and when her dad would take her on rides. It was only natural that at eighteen she would enroll in the academy and try to find an egg of her own. Her mother wasn't sure it was the best after her father almost died, but she promised not to get hurt and that if she hadn't found an egg by the age of 21 she would go home.

What if it was international? Like, the boat moving around to different countries and such, picking up/dropping off different people?

That'd be kind of cool. They could do something different in each country, but I did like the idea of having them all confined to a small space and having to learn to live together. I suppose that could still be part of a boat though, have it be a smaller one.
