Aye thanks on both. I do heavily enjoy dragons, so I just looked to my past experiences, and worked from there. Playing characters who have shady money are always fun for plots.

I don't have a good well, pair of images for either, that feels "real enough" given future Earth probably will have hair colors so zany that our eyes will be lost. Jokes aside, hope both are good, whichever one you like more, I'll go with. Also not used to separating things from personality alone, so hope its fine if the temperament section is a bit...on the weak side. Feedback is of course welcome. Took a bit to write both of these.

A young man of English descent, Charlemagne stands roughly six feet tall, with dark brown hair, sometimes stricken with silver tips, with a thin build, more berefit of his original intended lifestyle, which works against the image he presents as a dragon. He is often dressed in suits, but when in areas where his form may change without warning, he tends to wear clothing that can be easily discarded. Despite the raw power of his dragon form, he carries a saber, disguised via a cane its hidden within, with a toxin to its edge(to be explored), along with other weapons that would allow him to avoid revealing his true self.

Dragonic Form - Due to his mutation, Charles is capable of changing from a normal, bipedal form, to that of a silver scaled quadruped dragon, with a third pair of limbs that take the form of two wings. Compared to his roughly six feet tall human self, at the shoulder as a dragon, he stands about ten feet, with a wing span of roughly twenty feet, and a body that reaches well over forty feet, due to the length of his neck and tail. The tail itself acts as a sort of "fifth" lower limb, as it can be used to attack, albeit requiring some complex body movement to enable. Unlike the dragons of yore, Charles doesn't seem to be capable of breathing any sort of attack, but gains a significant strength boost, capable of flipping and crushing cars with ease, withstanding most forms of conventional ammunition below armor piercing and certain high calibur weapons. He is capable of limited flight in this form, but is better off gliding. Dim light becomes as broad day light, and lightless nights become like dim, and he can also shift to heat vision. While durable, the insides of his leg joints could be targeted. Under the wrong conditions, the form can be trigered from stress, or anger, resulting in hints via parts of his body starting to undergo shifts, before fully transforming.

Bestial Hunger - A side effect of the transformation, that lingers to a degree when out of this form, Charles becomes a far more "savage" being, targeting both animals and lifeforms that he doesn't know in search of food. This has caused him some trouble, but also has resulted in a higher metabolism, requiring him to eat far more and more regularly than the average person.

Dragon's Greed - Another side effect, Charles is cursed with a lust for material wealth, which, while notorious among his family, has reached degrees his family is only too happy to take care of. It is not money he desires, but the treasures of the world, from rare weapons, to precious gems with famous histories, to artwork by famous artists, or little known. If he sees it, and he wants it, he will have it. This works against him, as while he can contain it to a degree in human form, in dragon form, his focus becomes singleminded, where he will chase his goal until he has it. Curiously, he has no interest in beautiful women, like most dragons when in his form. Not to say he doesn't have a fancy for the femimine, merely that he doesn't desire it to absurd levels.

Dragon's Blood - The final notable size effect, the more he finds himself in a dragon's form, the more his human form gains traits of his dragonic side. Currently, the effects are minimal, with his nails on hands and feet growing far faster than the average human, in the form of talons, his green eyes gaining flecks of gold, and his teeth becoming slightly sharper. There are concerns that if he changes one too many times in too short a window, he'll become trapped in the form forever, and thus be unable to undo things. But who knows.

Trenchcoat - Simple, lets him hide more of his transformation before it triggers. The ones Charles wears are specially designed to tear along specific points, allowing the items to be easily fixed when he transforms. Hidden pockets allow him to pull out all sorts of items, whatever benefits him at a given moment.

Cane Sword - A Gentleman's weapon, that comes with a dangerous toxin along its edge, that while non-lethal, paralyzes the body of whoever it gets into the blood stream of within a few minutes. The more exposure, the better. This may have no effect on variants, but it is tried and true on humans. Designed to protect himself should a scuffle break out, its honestly more a hassle than anything else.

Stress Monitor - Placed on a harness around his body, the device monitors various conditions that would allow the family to know when Charles may be about to change, and take action.

Assorted knives and hand guns - Self-explantory.

When able, Charlemagne is a kind, affable fellow, gifted at acting, able to charm most with ease. The reality of course is that he is a cunning, calculating young man, who does what he can to make the most of the negatives of what his family calls a "dangerous gift." But beneath this, is the hunger and pride of a dragon, who has taken to calling himself a "modern Smaug" in private. A struggle between the civilized, and the nature of the beast, is something that haunts him regularly.

The Drakos Family. A crime syndicate so well setup that almost all efforts to uncover the full extent of their criminal empire isn't worth the dangers that come with trying to follow the clues. With tendrils connecting to them to numerous world powers, over the past two centuries, the family has become less a true "family," and more a sort of corporation, with different branches handling different matters, but all answering to the core. The branch Charlemagne was born into was more political than the others, his other father being a senator, with it being expected that Charlemagne, due to being born in the United Kingdom, would become a member of Paliament, advancing the family's interests, as they wished to acquire coal holdings in the country. Publicly, the Drakos referred to their main business "Drakos Energy and Mining," as exactly that, an energy and mining corporation that seeked to push mankind further and further into the future. Overlooking the fact that much of their initial wealth not obtained from their almost robber baron antics, were in fact, born of dirty dealings, and blood.

And yes, Charles would have gladly gone along with it, if not for the discovery he was a variant. Most people would be ashamed to have a son who was born a variant, but in the eyes of his father, and by extension the rest of the family, especially the core, it was a gift. Variants to them, were simply another tool in their arsenal. Some that were publicly recorded, some who were unknowns, due to their work being...less than stellar. Due to this problem however, given that his Variant trait would make it difficult to be a political man unless actions were taken, it was decided to move Charles to directly assisting in the "family business," using his own love of travel as a way to cover up the bodies he left behind every time he transformed. In reality, his travel trips were always to locations where the family had holdings. And now, he's come to New Haven, perhaps checking on a shell company, or expanding operations, but as one says, its only a matter of time before the bodies start to show up again.

Remote Viewing - A form of telepathy that instead of "reading thoughts," allows one to project their vision, like a form of "astral sight," where by focusing on an object, such as a photograph, or the mental picture of a person, information can be gathered. While documented as early as through US Air Force and US Armed Forces research into UFO and Occult matters, whether or not those people were really capable of remote viewing is unknown. With Serena, her ability to remote view is far more limited, requiring a digital medium to work. Almost as if instead of projecting her vision through the aether of the world, she is peering through the 1s and 0s that make up the digital world. When using the ability, she can visualize other people, including variants, who are in front of a computer or game screen, allowing her to observe their actions, usually in real time, and respond accordingly. While she mainly has to read body language, she may be able to sense emotions, which could help. Ultimately, she uses this power to...her advantage. Mostly when gaming to do various things.

Overload - While more than one person or area can be remote viewed, the more Serena views, the higher and more likely the chances of her having an "overload," where she mentally shutsdown and has to recover from a sensory overload. This can also be effected by what's going on around her.

Serena is your typical young adult. No tragic dramatic backstory. She just woke up one day, and found she could remote view other people. It all started when she began to see people in their rooms viewing her gaming profile, and being able to somehow sense their opinions, and slowly, it went from there. Serena was an only child, and well, had to move from where she was born originally, to New Haven for the sake of a job. Sure, being not rich meant she lived at the "bottom" of the pole, but she wasn't poor. Living in a middle class home, Serena has done well with her otherwise rather boring power. From avoiding bad people on the digital world, to sometimes knowing just when to make the right choices with her content, as well as seemingly always having the edge on even the best players, Bomberwoman has gained quite a following. And her fair share of haters who regularly complain and claim she's a variant.

And while yes, its true she's a variant, its not like its noticeable, right? She just lives her life, collects stuff, keeps herself safe, and just tries to live a good life.

Here we go. The actual character sheet if this is good, will probably take the form of a police file. Presuming there's more than a few space governments after them. No picture since I don't see myself finding a real world person who would match, also can't use the ref sheet that this character takes soft inspiration from. Struggled on personality traits since I'm used to writing thos out. Hope this "rough" version is good for at least initial okay. If not, I can make changes as needed.

Draconian Physiology - Draconians were once dragons who took on a more humanoid like form at some point in their evolution. This shift causes them to have a far superior muscular system to humans, denser bones, stronger lungs and oxygen carrying capacity, and slightly enhanced mental capacity. Serena is capable of short bursts of speeds exceeding 90 kilometers, lifting objects up to three times her own weight, survive for a short time without ready oxygen, and can be compared to most advanced intellectuals. Shame it went towards...well, less than savory purposes. Also possesses heightened senses, namely hearing, sight, and smell.
Technopath - Ability to control technology. Allows her to remotely operate her own gear, and possibly mess with the technology of an opponent. Primarily used as a form of tactile hacking, to make it easier to steal stuff, or remotely call in an escape.
Weaknesses:
Sonic Weaponry - Sufficiently high frequencies can liquefy organic material, or cause problems, sounds not audible to humans are audible to her, and they can hurt. Can also disrupt her power.
Psconic Weaponry - Attacks on the mind, while less effective from one species to another due to an alien mind, can cause disruption of her power over technology, rendering her ability to control effectively neutralized.
Explosives - Just like most lifeforms, while capable of withstanding some impacts, outright explosions can disorient, and disrupt powers, or jellify internal organs.
Notoriety - A Deserter, Terrorist, Pirate, Thief, Murderer. Serena has a rap sheet as long as she's been alive, or longer, matched as much by the bounties on her head. Makes travel difficult when your mug is splashed across dozens of stellar information nets, wanted dead or alive. Even when hiding out on a backwater.

Draconians, due to being formally fully fledged dragons, retain elements of their dragonic form in their bipedial form. In Serena's case, this manifests as a thin layer of scales under her skin, her left eye having an iris that looks like a dragon's eye, talons on her hands and feet, a pair of jet black horns that rise from the top of her skull and angle back, as well as a pair of featherless tan wings that extend from her back. Her right eye is green, and possesses a crosshair over the pupil, while her hair is a mix of black and red, extending down to past her waist at its fullest. Some scales are visible where the skin is broken. Her standard clothing, power suit aside, is a simple full length black jumpsuit, or human shorts and a solid blue top.
BRIEF Bio:
Draconians are the stellar version of wanderers, who spend their entire lives moving from system to system, taking safe harbor wherever they can find it, but rarely staying long, as they have a less than stellar rep of causing the destruction of their own worlds, or being cursed with such. Draconians tend to be mostly solitary when not among their own kind, and its not uncommon for them to build space stations in neutral space, the results of cobbling their vessels together. Serena was born on one of these "slumships," born of a warrior family, trained from birth to be a fighter, to perhaps help the Colony Drakos carve out their own territory. But, she was born with an especially potent sense of wanderlust, coupled with being born with a power that hadn't been seen among the Draconians in centuries, a power that was among those heralded as disaster borne. Being a technopath was a blessing and a curse.

In part due to being considered an outsider even by her own people, it wasn't long before Serena deserted her own colony, stealing a ship and supplies, and set off into the cosmic ocean, at the young age of 25. Becoming a mercenary, a profession not uncommon among the star wanderers, she worked a simple system. Sell her skills to the highest bidder, or taking whatever contracts suited her interest. If a power reneged on her payment, she usually took it for herself. Due to how Draconians can effectively live for centuries themselves, if not thousands of years, she tended to just "wait it out" if a bounty on her head became too much of a headache. Dashing off to an uncharted system, wait a few years while doing whatever she wanted, before the government ended up toppling or lost interest. By age 500, she'd become a stellar legend. Such as the Velbar incident, where she blew up an experimental weapon facility, stealing its riches and weapons in the process, being dubbed a Butcher by propaganda, due to killing plenty of enemy soldiers.

Due to Earth's status as a backwater for much of its existence, Serena has visited the planet a few times, hiding out among the solar system, ducking behind Jupiter when eluding fellow bounty hunters. Her last visit was in 1885, when she became a wild west gunslinger for a time. Her return to Earth this time is simple, she pissed off the latest version of a "galactic patrol," by raiding one of their outposts, and perhaps...overall being a headache to them, and even as an outsider, looking out for her own people. Some of her past clients have tried to do her people harm, so she didn't take too kindly to things.

Potential Storylines:
New Home: Simple enough, tired of running so much, and other factors, Serena decides to try and build an enclave for her people, so they can finally call a planet home, rather than slumships. Leading into possible tensions with Earth World governments as the effective stellar refugees start arriving in droves.

Karma's A Pain: Her crimes catch up to her, and bounty hunters track Serena to Earth, antics ensue. Maybe a stellar empire she pissed off comes looking to start trouble, or seeking to annex Earth, crosses paths.

Black Hole's Shadow: A darkness from deep space comes seeking Draconians, an old evil that's the reason Draconians rarely stay in one place. Just the usual "we messed up a long time ago, its still after us." Takes soft inspiration from the Interstellar Game's transcendence bad ending thing.

Notes:
Draconians are a modification of a group from an rp game me and some friends are in, same name, but with a completely different situation. I do like the idea of wandering races, as that is a trope in some media. Serena's loadout would probably be a suit of power armor with shielding, but generally a high tech space suit really. Ship is a mobile home, with everything she could need. And yes, like most dragons, she hoards stuff. Mostly artwork and other cultural things she's stolen from various races that crossed her. Could be she's stolen a few Earth paintings in her life. Further questions can be asked whenever.

Hey, here's an offer to anyone interested: want to play each other's villains? I have room for a secondary character, and we're a little sparse on villains. If someone wanted, we could make personalized villains for each other's main characters - make the universe feel a little bigger. I think it'd be fun for our heroes to have their own little rogue's galleries, and I wouldn't want to play my own character's personal villain because then I'd be RPing with myself every time they interacted.

Let me know if that sounds neat to anyone!

I'll freely admit to interest over here with my merc idea. Like I offered up above, they could have made foes on other planets, have others after them, or just overall rub people the wrong way. Alien mercs aren't good guys, unless the pay's good.
