Bio

A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about. Fella by the name of Don. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Donald, he called himself the Dude. Now, Dude. That's a name no one would self-apply where I come from. But then, there was a lot about the Dude that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. But then again, maybe that's why I found the guy s'durned innarestin'.

Sometimes there's a man--I won't say a hee-ro, 'cause what's a hee-ro?--but sometimes... there's a man.

And I'm talkin' about the Dude here--sometimes there's a man who, wal, he's the man for his time'n place. He fits right in there--and that's the Dude.

Hmmmm... alright then. If you're all still down, I think four of you is definitely enough to start. Might actually make things easier and more interesting with a smaller group (though more are certainly welcome).

I'm going to be getting into the world-building and specifics of the plot and all that. I'm also still deciding whether I'll have a character as well, or if I should just help lead the group/control NPCs as necessary. As a heads up I won't have an OOC up for a few more days, most likely not until the weekend, but I'll let you all know when it is posted.
*shrug*

I'd have to agree with @Ammokkx in that I find it difficult to take Ian's successful defiance very seriously; though honestly, getting shot in the kneecaps is just about the most painful experience a human can suffer, probably even moreso than flesh being gnawed off (getting into the nitty-gritty: people eaten alive beyond the first few bites, bear attacks for example, typically don't feel pain). At the point of the kneecapping, and the further elbow shooting and beating, my suspension of disbelief was already gone when he hadn't passed out, but whatever; it's fiction, and it kind of fits Ian's character.

Is it a little over the top? Eh. Does it help me like Ian as a character more? Eh. It's nice seeing the backstory in action, but he's edging very close to the traits of super agent as opposed to human.

@Raijinslayer
@IceHeart
I was thinking of a demon Bow personally, but can opt for the sword if that proves to be too complicated for what you're going for.
@RaijinslayerWent from canary in the coalmine to lab rat in a snake pit in a matter of moments.

That escalated rather quickly... yyyyyyyeeesh. Are we going to have a cyborg member, now?
Very interested, and in the following order:

1. Sky Pirates
2. Bounty
3. Sorrowars
4. Escape
5. Guardians
6. Votive
Antwon is somewhat intimidated, but shakes it off.

Ehmmm...

Antwon walks past Ian's crippled body, actually

EDIT: BUT, Ant would be among the "you got balls" group as opposed to the "you're an idiot" option. "crazy", though? Aw yeah.
Antwon couldn't help but smile along with Lorenzo, as well; though more in amusement as opposed to matching his creepiness. He listened politely, though he struggled to keep from elbowing the guy in the jaw as he gripped his shoulder. First, Ant was scolded for not managing to annihilate Korie... and now, he was being scolded for trying to in the first place. Then he proceeded to do some drill sergeant insults, yada yada yada in Ant's mind... he's seen it all before, followed by physical batterment to boot during the majority of his life on the streets. But what worried Ant a little more than anything was how unpredictable this commander was. At the very least, the thugs made sense. This guy? Ant had no clue what he was thinking; and that was troublesome.

Upon the order to leave, Ant was very tempted to heckle Lorenzo more. He had so many more pressing questions, but even he knew at this point it would be out of line. And then, as if on cue, Ian chimed in with his own opinion on the matter... and Lorenzo's following response seemed to quell any questions Ant had, at least regarding their captain's mental state. My God, this guy truly is insane, Ant thought, which he concluded in his mind that they really were prisoners here. Ant had plans to ask Zan about his exercise regimen, but after Ian's bizarre line of questioning, decided it be best for another day... the hulk of a kid seemed pissed off enough. Then again, for the majority of their time here, he seemed to always be pissed off.

Ant looked around the rest of his squad, and was actually quite impressed with what he saw on the field, at least with half of them. It was dawning on Ant that he might actually be stuck with this group for the long haul... Perhaps it would be best if I actually attempt to see the good in them, he thought. Ant approached Sigma and Takeo in passing; he found Takeo's bow odd, but refrained from commenting. "Good work" was all he said, simply, followed by "Congrats" in reference to Sigma, then continued walking. The boy was clearly rusty when it came to compliments, but he was genuine.

Then, he saw Elora, and a small smile went on his face. He was actually quite impressed by the girl; she was the last person he suspected would charge straight into a confrontation. Lorenzo did mention that she ended up running away and hiding in the fetal position, sure; but from what Ant saw in person, there was potential. She reminded him a little of Ariadne. In passing (not before nonchalantly stepping past Ian), Ant gave her two gentle pats on the shoulder. "You proved me wrong, Mouse. You are less timid in your suit." He smiled, then went on his way. He gave her his signature, 'not-look-in-the-person's-direction' thumbs-up, as he walked to the men's changing rooms... though this time, for once, he actually wasn't being facetious.
Antwon uses SASSAFRASS against Lorenzo.

It's Super Effective?
I'm in the process as well, it's just taking me longer than usual since I'm not very knowledgeable of battletech lore and I want to give a reasonably detailed CS. So there's another interested, at least.
One last bump, then I'll just let the idea die out if nobody else is interested. Unfortunately I don't think two people is enough to get this game working.
