Bio

It took me 10 years to finally fill one of these out, but I finally did it. Welcome, stranger.

I'm Drache. I'm a millenial leftist living in the US deep south. I'm a queer polyamorous kinkster. You can find me at PRIDE, at Ren Fair, at the local farmer's market, and the monthly dark party. I play D&D, I play Skyrim, and I play with gags and blindfolds. I'm your elder femdom, even though my bones hurt.

During the day I'm an emergency animal medical professional with 20 years in the field. On my off time I'm a dog show enthusiast, a karaoke singer, a baker, and a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator. I'm a collector of rare houseplants, of rescued exotic birds, of books, of tattoos. I'm the most feral spouse with the most domestic skills. I'm perpetually exhausted but endlessly impulsive.

If you're looking for a partner to share in your high fantasy, in your dark themes, in your deranged kinky monsterfucking, send me a PM.

What else is there to say?

Yeah, you should. A penis is not required to play a male character.
Why only male players?
This is currently closed. If you are interested anyways please send me a PM and I will keep you in mind in case someone drops out.
(Sorry in advance to anyone I was previously RPing with. I live in Houston and Hurricane Harvey made my life a living hell for approximately 1 month and I know I disappeared suddenly. I am too chicken-shit to go through my PMs and apologize to you all individually for dropping everything but know that I am sorry.)

Me:
Long time RPer. Over 18.
High-cas to advanced writer. Third person, past tense only.
PMs only. I appreciate a little bit of OOC chat but don't be concerned if I post a lot without saying much OOC.
I appreciate adult themes in my RPs and I don't fade to black. Rest assured I am not looking for anything gross or overly gorey/raunchy but when characters hit it off I enjoy having them 'do the do'. I'm hoping for something slightly more tasteful than GoT.
I can post a couple times a week. My work schedule is all over the place.
I like MAGIC and MONSTERS. Some of my favourite things are Dungeons and Dragons and all of its derivatives like Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Pathfinder, etc. The world I have in mind is heavy on the fantasy with a good amount of steampunk elements thrown in.

You:
Over 18.
Good with F/F romance.
Good with mentions of dark themes that are to be expected in a medieval world.
Able to post at least once per week.
Not going to play a shrinking violet damsel in distress who makes me want to God-mode her into a volcano for being too dumb to live.

The idea:
Somewhat of a Beauty and the Beast feel to it. Your character is a young woman who is a misfit in her own way. She can be royalty/nobility if you want, or not. She can be traditionally beautiful, or not. She could be disabled or even trans or NB, or not. If you're looking for an excuse to play a Strong Independent Woman who intends to buck shitty social expectations, this is your chance. She should be someone who others consider to be too smart/different for her own good, if only because the life she is expected to live will only make her miserable. "Get married to some dude. Have kids. Get old and die." Hell no. She probably has hobbies that aren't usually seen as ladylike. Maybe she's good at "manly" things like hunting/fishing/fighting. Maybe she reads a lot or even writes. She probably wears pants when no one is looking and cuts her hair short in spite of her mother's protests. Something like that. She can be a magic user if you want but no shape-shifters. She can be human but I am willing to entertain ideas for just about anything else. Elves. Furries. Whatever. Go nuts and I'll let you know if I like it. My character is rich and powerful but a little bit frightening and definitely not human. She can be unpredictable and dangerous but damn is she interesting. For some reason, which we shall hash out in PMs, they meet and your character gets stuck with mine. My initial idea was 'arranged marriage'. Maybe your characters parents offer up her older brother for the marriage and my character picks her instead, shocking everyone? Maybe you want to go a little darker and your character ends up being basically sold to mine as part of some deal? Will it be a permanent arrangement? Will they hate each other? Will they learn to love? Will my character act as terrifying as her reputation implies? I am hoping for a lot of angst and a lot of suspense. This will be a lot more slice-of-life than I am used to but there will be lots of references to things happening in the world. I am wanting this RP to be more about the relationship between the ladies than any particular adventure or event. Expect interesting clothes and fancy parties and magical outings.

I have a world already in mind and I WANT someone who will focus on their own character and let me surprise them with new revelations about my world in every post. Do not feel obligated to play NPCs. Do not feel obligated to help me world-build. Do not feel obligated to match your post-length to mine (because you will lose that game, I promise.)

PM me if interested. Tell me about the idea for your character in this. You show me yours, I'll show you mine. I have reference pics and everything.

<Snipped quote by Drache>

I joined a roleplay where I played a male character. Never claimed to be one, just had the character. The GM sent me flirtatious messages, and my response was something along the lines of "sorry, I'm flattered, but I'm a woman with a fiance I'll be marrying in a year or so." She actually cut me from the roleplay for "not being entirely truthful." I guess people see what they want to see.

What the actual fuck.
It's not mean, but it might be dishonest.

While it's not unreasonable to assume someone RPing with you might judge you by your gender (I do, to be honest, but only in so far as vaguely expecting women and men to have certain strengths and interests respective to gender), the terms get foggy when you're enjoying a story but fear they might lose interest if they found out you were x.

Maybe they're a little more invested in the RP's elements than they rightly should be, and maybe you're manipulating them based on that. Or maybe they aren't and it doesn't matter, but you don't want to risk it. It's definitely morally questionable, but the only one holding you accountable is you.

To be fair, I never lie. I just let them assume what they will.
The funny part is that there is no way for people to verify it. Just like there is no way to verify age.

Sometimes I purposefully RP with people who think I am a gender that I am not, just out of spite. Is that mean?
Here's another one:

Here's what I look for:

1 ) You're a MALE and 18 or over.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER!? I get wanting to only PLAY male or female characters (can't relate but I guess it's fair) but what difference does it make if the person on the other side of the computer screen has a ding-dong (OR DOESN'T)??!?!?!

I don't know why this continues to annoy me when the people who insist on matching player gender to character gender always turn out to be shitty RPers anyways but lord if it doesn't seem so...I don't know...pretentious? Arrogant?
Oh, here's one.

Girl/Woman (Requirement)

Here I go again.

> How would you know the person approaching you is, in fact, female? Because they said so? Bwahahaaaa....
> If the person approaching you is a good roleplayer, would they not be competent presenting both sides of the gender spectrum? If so, what's the problem?...
> Are you just trying to get your thingie off females? Roundabout way of saying so.
Naive, incomplete logic, or nefarious (and still naive most likely) intent.
