"Oh, Quinten. Took you long enough, brat." her cute, high-pitched voice rung out as she stepped inside the building - a large sack, double the size of her small form slung over her shoulders and back as though it were weightless. Adorning a long, flowing coat that did little to hide her small body ironically and puffy pajama pants that lead down to her small boots, the little girl was definitely not the type of thing you'd expect to see in a place like this. Her large, golden hue turned suddenly however - the iris snapping towards Elijah and locking on as though she herself were a missile aimed right for him. The bag suddenly dropped in a heap behind her, the unexpected movement catching both Kabal and Quentin off-guard long enough for her lithe, petite body to surge towards the mimic. Her blade slid free of its sheathe in that same instant, the metal gleaning against the dim lighting of the hideaway they lived within, the sharp end flashing towards Elijah's neck at the precise angle to make lobbing off his head an easy feat. And off it would have been lobbed if Kabal hadn't reacted so quickly, his body already floating sideways at Elijah's side - arm stretched outwards and gloved fingers curling into his shirt to drag him back just far enough that the tip of his mother's weapon would barely avoid his chin. Before Elijah could even register that he'd been both attacked and saved in the same second, his surroundings would suddenly change as he was teleported to a few feet to his right, avoiding a sudden punch from Jessica - the small fist slamming into the concrete wall and cratering it under the sheer weight of her power.

"Ma, calm down!" Kabal gasped, already feeling a little dizzy from the very sudden usage of his ability, "He's not danger-" his voice was cut off as she lurched at them again, her hue having narrowed to a blood-thirsty slit and her body shooting towards them like a bullet. He had no choice but the teleport again, once more transporting them to the opposite side of the room and hopefully away from her assault, only to realise that Jessica had anticipated the move and had turned around in the same moment, already driving her sword forwards in a quick, stable stab to try and pierce the heart of the male. Sparks flew wildly around the tip of her blade as it collided with the vigorously spinning drill-tip of Jackie's tail, the girl having sensed the threat of someone thirsting for death and quickly come to her new friend's aid. The attack was blocked perfectly, but Jessica was always on the move; her flow never stopping and her sons knew this. With Quentin barely able to keep up with the faster fighters and Kabal already with his hands full releasing Elijah behind him and moving to help the unknowing Driller of what was to come, Jessica was left to her own devices as to how she punished the girl for getting in her way.

With her blade caught against the spinning drill tip, Jessica simply discarded it - leaving it lingering in the air for that instant, dipping low and moving to tackle the girl at her legs. The instinctive Jackie once again sensed the incoming attack, her legs already bracing and slipping upwards to jump and avoid the attack. But the tackle was no longer coming; Jessica's body raising again, having faked that coming grapple and instead palming the butt of her sword to shove it forwards. Once more, in a stunning display of instinct and battle prowess however, Jackie deflected the blade once more with her tail - the weapon beginning to tilt and spin to the side as it recoiled from the block, shielding Jessica from view for just long enough to close the distance all at once. Her fist clenched and launched like a rocket-propelled grenade, colliding with Jackie's stomach, the fist not losing strength or speed regardless of how much it pressed into her poor midriff and indenting into her very core, her body soon propelling backwards and crashing against the wall, the cement crumbling with the strike and the tail-wielding girl falling through until the rubble covered half of her form; only an arm, her tail and a leg left sticking out from the mess.

Of course, Jessica was not done yet; her prey was still very much alive and well despite her attacks so far (which had only spanned about 5 seconds by this point). Catching the spinning blade perfectly, as though she had intended it all along, she once again stepped forwards, stabbing through to try and once more finish him in a single move. Kabal had gotten enough time to react by then however, having pushed Elijah aside and grabbing his mother's wrist before the two suddenly vanished all at once; leaving both Elijah and Quentin alone with an injured Jackie.
"Mm, its possible but I didn't actively look, myself." Kabal replied bluntly, crossing either arm over his chest as he thought of any other alternatives he could come up with himself. Of course, the idea of getting their mother involved was always an option but making her fight their battles was starting to get old; she may not look it, but even with her small stature she had worked hard to bring them up properly in this place. What kind of family would they be if they always get her involved in danger?

"Hey, new guy. They always mention the drop locations to new inmates for that night. You remember them at all?" he turned to Elijah, a slim chance guiding his tongue, just prior to a loud banging emanated from the makeshift wall that blocked entry into their hideaway. The same banging as always, their mother returning from her walk. Small flecks of blood scattered across one cheek, no more than two droplets also staining the collar of her large coat that barely protected any passer-by from being flashed by her pre-pubescent chest.

"Ah, shit. Mom's back." Kabal sighed aloud, almost face-palming once he realised that she'd probably not be too ecstatic about not having any food for their evening. Of course, they had a small assortment for when things got rough in storage somewhere else but the good stuff was always in the new drops. The banging had also coincidentally woken Jackie from her all-too-short nap, her brow furrowing slightly at the disturbance.
"For all that talk about hating users, you sure have gotten pretty cosy." a slightly familiar voice called from behind Elijah, though nobody else in the room seemed to notice the arrival of a newcomer. Eve was currently standing behind him, her arms behind her back with fingers interlocked and amused smile secured planted upon her delicate features. Once he'd turn to face her, her expression was all he needed to know that she didn't want him making a fuss about her sudden appearance - looking to be more of an observer than interfere with how things play out. That being said, she had never really had anyone to root for in the past. Perhaps he'd be the first?

"Well, even if you're just pretending for the sake of survival - I thought I should point something out to you, out of utter generosity," she began again, stepping beside him and turning her gaze towards the others within the hideout, noting that none of the users in this place had the level of strength to sense her despite her lacking performance with one of her many, many abilities, "You're in danger of losing your ability, throwing it around so easily~" she suddenly sung, waggling her finger in front of him as though she were chastising a child, "There are some abilities out there that will do more harm than good, if you were to try them on for yourself. Do be careful, alright?" With that said, she simply stepped back and her form visibly melded back into the very air itself, as though she were never there in the first place.

Meanwhile, Kabal and Quentin had been laughing over the fact that the eldest brother was almost cooked on his way back from some investigative work. According to Kabal, their usual place that they'd get their supplies from was currently being occupied by the Sweeper gang, notorious for their assimilation of most supply depots.

"Yeah, looks like the chick with the flames got a bit hot-headed." Kabal announced proudly, smiling arrogantly at his own perfect pun and turning to face their newest acquaintance, expecting some kind of reaction from him.

Name: Jessica "Bad-mouthed Midget" Lyons

Bio: Mother of the Lyons family.
What was at first an empty shell of a hideout with nobody currently hiding within, as soon as the door parted and the youngest of the two brothers entered with a couple of other Users in tow, Kabal blinked in - his boots clapping against the floorboards as he landed.
"Ah, hot..! Hot!" he gasped, smacking away some cinders that lingered upon his jacket and pant legs from the conflict he'd just been a part of. Apparently, that User he'd been facing was more dangerous than he'd given them credit for; their flames licking him even as he teleported away.
Hearing some movement within their hideaway, Kabal peered his head through the doorway from the back room he'd jumped to and glanced over the trio quickly.

"Oh, a newbie? Is his ability cool?" he chuckled aloud, stepping out and into the open to reveal his very slightly singed apparel. A gold-coloured bandanna was currently pulled over the majority of his face, his hood pulled up deep over the top of his head to hide his messy, golden locks and an outfit that could be easily mistaken for someone else's. It was only after he'd given them his somewhat crass greeting that he noticed Jackie behind the new guy, looking as though she could fall asleep at any moment.

"Oh, hey Jackie." he gave her a wave, which was responded to with the usual response he'd get; a glance around for the source of the words relating to her and then immediately giving up, needing to nap. Sighing quietly to himself, he gestured to a nearby slightly tattered couch, to which she promptly waddled to and curled up atop - knees slipping in under her oversized hoodie.

Bio: Older brother to Quinten.

Returned to base when Elijah arrived after a small skirmish with a Sweeper. The supplies he was after were stolen.
Even with Quinten speaking after her, Alina didn't even stop to give him the time of day to finish his explanation. Of course, she understood that this place was hostile territory no matter where she tread; what was the point in staying in the ruins, though? The city on the horizon looked much better a place to hole up - regardless of what kind of people controlled it. Her silhouette faded into the distance as she began her trek, not sparing any moment to glance back at the odd-ball group.

Elijah's words fell upon deaf ears, the girl far too engrossed in her delicious sandwich to even notice she was being spoken to. Hell, it was rare enough that people would talk to her at all - let alone feed her so readily. Of course, if she were more normal a girl she'd probably feel indebted to Quinten for his generosity, but alas she did not feel any sort of inclination to like him more than anyone else she'd try to kill at the drop of a hat. Once she was finished, she sighed contentedly into the air, her tail slowing in its consistent thumping of the ground before standing upright and at attention. Now that she was not hungry any longer, her most desperate need was to sleep - glancing around slowly to see if she could find somewhere nice to nap.
Jackie immediately turned away from Alina, entirely ignoring whether or not she was about to strike back and instead hopped into the air - catching the still-wrapped sandwich between her eager jaws and landing silently a few meters further. Her movements were almost cat-like to the eye, however the constant thumping of her tail against the broken tarmac and pavement beneath her feet showing off her excitement for the mouth-watering snack did very little to keep that elegant aura she'd just shown off.

The snow-haired swords-woman watched unamused, the situation having turned goofy so quickly that she was left looking like the foolish one. Once again, a deflating sigh escaped her lips and she left her blade to slip away into the nothingness that was the air around her - dissolving from her fingers and rendering her weapon-less once more. A newcomer's arrival, Elijah's prattling and Jackie's over the top antics were all far too much for her stressed mind to take in at once. Opting to remove herself from the equation, she quickly made herself scarce - not willing to let herself be brought to a stop once again and effectively disappeared behind a corner.
