Current I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question. - Harun Yahya

Bio

Hello everyone!

I love roleplaying. That is why I am here. And you are too I suppose! So we already have that much in common! Sweet!

I will play anything with a thick enough plot. My favorites include fantasy and magic themes.

I'm not sure what else to say here.

See you in game!

@RokkuHoshi i'm replying quick so that you can get with the group asap.

^_^

And I described it in the IC, but, everyone speaks and understands english like it is their default/language of origin.
@RokkuHoshiWinston adjusted his glasses and turned to face the other-wordler. He put his clipboard on his lap.

The first few of these interviews were extremely nerve wracking. Now he was prepared for the confusion, seeing it countless times now. Unlike the first few times he also knew that the equine being would understand him.

No matter where the they seemed to have originated. All those who came through the RIFT spoke fluent English. In most cases they didn't even realize that they were not speaking their language of origin. English was the new default.

"Greetings." Winston put his hands on his knees, he wanted to be the calming presence in his voice and body language. "Please, do not panic, we are here to help you. I am here to help you."

"I must look very strange to you." Some of the other-worlders had never seen humans before. "I am sorry that this is such a shock... I will do my best to answer your questions."

"You are very-very far from home. My name is Winston, I am a human, I'll explain that more later."

"You are here because you were injured, you have been in a coma now for several weeks."

"I do not know where They are. However there were others found, I do not know if any of them were your companions. We will arrange for you to meet them once you have calmed down and everything has been explained to you fully."
If I'm being forced to pick between the two abilities, I have to go with teleportation. We can say his wings got broken on the travel through the rift. Only way it makes sense to me.

His teleportation is limited to only himself and anything on him. While it is easier if he knows what the place looks like, and easiest if he can see it, he can go to someplace he doesn't know what it looks like. He does have to know the area is there, like teleporting in the other side of a door, and not try to guess where an underground cave is, for example.

He only needs an hour rest after his first teleportation of the day. Each time he teleports again before getting at least 6 hours of sleep, the rest time doubles, putting the limit per day at 5. If he pushes past it, he takes serious consequences, such as a longer rest time required.

His only other weaknesses would be a lack of physical strength, a severe distrust of non-pony characters, loyal to a fault after loyalty is earned, and a bit of a short attention span.

Ok add that to the CS put it in the tab... And I even started you a scene in the game ^_^ go for it!
I am interested if I can play an original ranger-character ^_^
@RokkuHoshi

"Um... I think it's... I think It's a cartoon." Said Sadria.

"What?" The other tech, Hanz, squinted at the other-worlder. It was a colorful equine alien.

"My... Well... This kid that I know... In America... He watches this cartoon. 'My Little Pony'. It looks like it is from that."

Hanz and Sadria looked at each other in silence for a moment. The silence stretched out a little longer than it should have. In TRIDENT no one talked about their lives or the 'people they knew' before joining the organization. The long glance would be the only acknowledgment of the young woman's near slip-up. They both turned back to the subject and continued their conversation.

"A kids cartoon?" Hanz was perplexed. "That isn't congruent with any of the others... Is it?"

Before the question was answered, Winston entered. The older portly man adjusted his glasses, flipped through the papers on his clipboard and looked at the 'subject'.

"You two can go. I'll be here when he wakes up to conduct the interview."

Hanz and Sadria left.

Wintson sat down in a chair. The equine-other-worlder was hooked up to a few monitors but was otherwise comfortable and lying in an over-sized cushion for a bed. It seemed the best way to situate the quadrupedal creature.

When it awoke, Winston would be there waiting. Studying the notes on his clipboard.
@Eyeris Sorry for pushing. I was trying to keep it at a maximum of once a week.

Equestria is more like how fairy tales portray kingdoms with a few modern things thrown in here and there. However, Equestria isn't important to Rockin'. Coltrea is more of a clash of a lot of eastern stereotypes.

Being a unicorn, he has an innate ability to use magic.

Teleportation: Up to 50 meters.
Levitation of objects: Nothing larger than a cow. The more mass an item has, the more magic it takes to move it. It's more like how he holds things since he has hooves instead of hands.
Cloud walking: The only advanced spell he knows. With this, he can walk on clouds as easily as on land.
Flying: The combination of his metal wings and levitation magic.

Because he is a unicorn, magic is innate, just like flying is to pegasi. He chose to learn music and the guitar is his preferred instrument. He's naturally intelligent and shows this through his inventions. His "role" would be bard. Inventive musician.

The legend says that the decendants of the two oldest clans will continue the age old war between the elements of Life and the elements of Death. That has nothing to do with the current point of his story. He doesn't care about it.

Any other questions?

Edit: Think of it this way: born with magic because of his race, a gifted inventor but doesn't really work on his inventions much, loves his music and strives to perfect it.

I want you to pick teleportation or flying. Not both.

I need more definition of the one you pick. Can he teleport things and other people with him? Does he need to know the place or see it? What can interfere with it? How many times can he do this in a day before he runs out of magic? Same with flying.

How much magic does he have? You mention that he can run out. How do you determine if he runs out? how does he recharge?

I would like to know your characters weaknesses and the weaknesses of this particular type of magic.

Look at some of the other sheets to see the level of detail that everyone else uses to describe their abilities.
@Fetzen@cpldingo

I have given you the power to choose which space you want to be in!

If you're interested in learning necromancy go see Twain

If you want to do combaty and anti-malware magic tactical go to Roz

If you want to talk to the Tristan maybe about trident or bigger questions about the state of things go there.

If you guys would prefer to all be one spot and this is too confusing or spreads you guys out too much let me know.
@RokkuHoshi

I'm going to accept you but I'm going to go over your abilities a bit more with you and possibly alter them.

When I get to a proper keyboard I'll set up a scene for you, probably in the lab, and go over that stuff with ya
The panic and hustle took over the team. The main piece of physical evidence, the place of the event itself, crumbled around them in a strange and unnatural fashion.

"Fucking magicians!" Zesiro stumbled around to grab equipment and evidence bags.

Rozalind screamed orders but was quick and swift, she hefted her rifle and her sharp eyes scanned the area for enemies... There were none... Only the disintegrating castle.

~~~~
TRIDENT HQ
They had escaped with their lives, and had even found additions to the team. Most of the equipment and evidence bags made it out in one piece, though some of it was dented and some was soggy with snow. Even most the evidence collected had made it down the mountain. The original site was destroyed, but, the team had taken more with them than they knew...
LABORATORY ROOM 1F
Shannon was popular with the scientists and alchemists of TRIDENT. They attached monitors to her, swung pendulums around her, took pictures, etc, etc, etc.
Surprisingly, the angsty and apathetic Zesiro stayed with her throughout her 'check ups', and sometimes told off the men and women in the long white coats when they were becoming too invasive or seemed to be upsetting Shannon. Something about he angsty lanky teen put them on edge.
"Don't let them make you feel like a freak." He commented when the two were alone.
On an exam table nearby was the pile of bones that had once been animated into a bird-like creature. None one could find anything particular about them, so, the pile of bones lay still and forgotten for now.
CONFERENCE ROOM B
Twain stood across from Charles. On the table in between the two men was a book. It was very old, leather covered, the pages were parchment, yellowed with age, tarnished around the edges.
"This is the... well.. My... 'Book of the Dead'.
THE GYM
Rozalind let off her steam here. She found such solace with her former team, TIGER, training with them... That team was gone now... She was back with MERCY.
So she turned to the members of mercy who had assembled with her, and gave them a ruthless glare.
"You know how to fight, but, this is not only a physical war. This is not a physical battle. You saw what happened on the mountain, our enemies simply disintegrated the world around us. How? It was a manifestation of their willpower... Magic..." She always said the word as if she would rather spit.
"It isn't enough to be strong. You have to be clever, and prepared."
Tristan's office.
Tristian sat at his desk, looking uncharacteristically melancholic, he had taken a photograph off the wall of his office and set it upon his desk. In this photo was a younger version of himself... And the other founders of TRIDENT. The picture had been taken long before TRIDENT had been imagined. They were just young, ambitious, curious, and adventurous. That had been enough back then...
... What now? Trisitan was the only one left. Did he feel as fulfilled as he had in those days? The question haunted him...
He and his friends had gone out looking for adventure... They had found power and knowledge... Had he done anything worthwhile with it?
Had he made the world a better place? Or had he made things worse?
@Eyeris I've been waiting patiently. Have you looked at the changes on my CS? Is there anything else I need to add on to or change?
I stated in the OOC that I was having a tough time finding time for things. You have posted a lot. I appreciate your persistence but I would not describe it as patient.
Our pace is sometimes slow, this might not be a good fit for you.
Name: Rockin' Strings
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Unicorn pony
World of Origin: The same world as Equestria but a different country known as Coltrea.
I don't watch this show. Can you elaborate on Equestria? How is it different from Earth?
Are you a member of TRIDENT? No.
Are you one of those seemingly normal people? If so, what do you do? No.
Appearance: Rockin' stands three and a half feet tall with bright blue-green eyes, dark red fur, mane and tail with dark grey highlights/streaks, and a foot-long horn protruding from his forehead. He wears a pair of mechanical wings on his back, on top of which he carries his guitar, and a golden locket around his neck.
Abilities and skills: He can use the basic unicorn magic, which is a very short list of short range teleportation, only up to 50 meters maximum, levitation of any object up to the size of a cow, and a cloud-walking spell, allowing him to walk on clouds as easily as on land, as well as utilise his magic and his metal wings to fly rather sloppily, usually ending with a crash.
Can you break this down?
Teleportation:
Levitation of objects:
Cloud walking:
Flying:
This might be a bit much, teleportation and levitation? I'm trying to figure out what your characters 'role' is.
Strengths and Weaknesses: While he excels with his magic, he is much better with his guitar and his inventing. However, he is a poor creative thinker, flier and singer.
Again trying to figure out the role of your character. Is he a magician or a musician? or an inventor? Maybe there is a context that I don't understand from the show? It seems very random.
Equipment Requests: Mechanical wings, guitar, locket.
History: Growing up in a large town was beneficial for Rockin'; he knew almost everypony, had a handful of close friends, and a loving family. He was often asked by his mother to take care of his younger brother, Ash, but normally left him to his own devices. Both colts were often in trouble; Ash for breaking his horn again and Rockin' for letting him. The only part of his life that differed from his friends was the fact his parents always had to remind him of the old legend.
What is the old legend?
Personality: Rockin' is the fun-loving, kind-hearted stallion mares would rather befriend than attempt a relationship with. He loves playing pranks on his pals but isn't as good at it as his best friend. He easily gets lost in his music while playing.
