► reputation
There are few at BHHS and fewer in the senior class who don't know Himani Chakrabarti. Of course, in a way everyone knows her considering at every pep rally and major home game for the season she can be found inside the pirate mascot uniform where she spreads BHHS spirit and cheer and sometimes even dancing routines. Even normally, Himani Chakrabarti makes her presence known just by the sheer number of clubs she has signed up for and how she seems to always have energy and optimism for a school of all things. Rare is the time when she gets called on in class because Himani is someone that, when answering a question, will talk for minutes until the teacher or someone else interrupts her. Many surely find her annoying, but in the way where she still gets to have friends and people who tolerate her. She's likable, in other words, and if nothing else her energy can be infectious. Perhaps one of the more surprising aspects of Himani's entire being is her performance in gym class. She runs a crisp six minute mile in gym class and likely would be on the cross country team if she didn't have a thousand other commitments and concerns.
Himani Chakrabarti is a ball of energy and school spirit and her can-do and 'never say no' attitude has made some consider her to be...naive, wwhich is a fair assessment. In terms of grades, History and Gym are her best classes but every teacher she's ever had has remarked on how immaculate her handwriting is and how thorough her notes are. She fully expects her yearbook platitude to be "Most Likely to Be A Secretary" but she doesn't know if that's insulting or not. Likely not, as she always runs for student council secretary until people remind her of her dozen other clubs she's technically part of.
Love her or hate her, few can deny that Himani is unapologetically earnest.
► current dilemma
Himani doesn't have the money to go to college but desperately wants to so she can study archeology (did she mention she wants to be an archeologist?) and history. Scholarships are her best chance but she's still worried about the lack of money to the point where she hasn't even applied to college yet. While college is a big dilemma for her, she's also coming to terms with the fact that her family situation is...well if people knew what it was like at her house they would wonder how she was able to be so cheerful and chipper at school; though it does help explain why she enjoys being outdoors hiking, climbing rocks, and camping as much as she does. The two concerns are connected as not getting into college would mean having to spend time in the worst place on the planet.

► social media handles
Himani's Twitter handle is @ChakrabarTeaTime. She often posts videos of her putting on the mascot costume and PoV of what it's like running along the stands at a game.
Her Instagram, which has a lot of pictures of her doing outdoor activities as well as 'Tidbit Thursday' where she posts a historical fact, is @HimaniDoesHistory
► style
Himani doesn't really have a defined style. Most of her outfits are of the
casual variety without much in the way of namee brands. She does happen to show
leg because she likes
wearing shorts but considering she runs and hikes and such, being
proud of her legs is just a happy byproduct. Most times, though, they just wear
nondescript or
athleisure. They like accessories, particularly bracelets and wristbands and she almost always wears sneakers.
► ride & everyday items
Himani rides their bike to school or sometimes walks if they feel like it. But more often than not it's a bike ride to and from school. She has a binder in her backpack that contains her notebooks (she goes through many over a year) and dayplanner. She rarely ever leaves home to go to school without her dayplanner.
► occupation
Way too busy with school activities to have a job
► extracurricular activities
Name a club and Himani has probably been in it or tried to be in it. She's technically still in the Glee Club despite being unable to sing. Her main club, other than pep squad by nature of being the mascot, is the Adventure Club which she at least has a passion for in the sense that she loves hiking and outdoors activities. Tried to join band but doesn't play an instrument other than clapping. Mascot and club activities keep her fairly busy.

Friends would describe me as _______.
"Oh man, hopefully they'd describe me as fun to be around, otherwise why would they be friends with me, right? I mean, I never really thought about it but now I'm wondering what do they think of me? I'll tell you how they wouldn't describe me: attractive! I mean, in comparison to them, like have you seen the students at this school? They're like all so gorgeous and I'm just..like..Himani! At least when I put on the pirate mascot I get to pretend that I'm cool because pirates are cool! Deadly...dangerous...violent..but cool! I wish I was beautiful like everyone else but hey, as long as people like me then it's totally okay! What was the question? Oh...uh...they would describe me as...friendly? Happy? Smiley? Is smiley a decription? Ohhh, maybe they'll say peppy or fast! Because I run the mile fast! Nyoooooom! That's me running fast. I think I'm out of space on the she-"
In my free time I like to _______.
"Climb rocks and camp and hike! I like to be outside! One time I went camping and I was making s'mores but I burned the chocolate, or I mean it melted, and it got on my hand and I licked it off but some of it spilled on my shirt except I forgot to pack a spare so I had to basically walk around with chocolate on my shirt - it was right by the left boob. I don't know why I'm telling that story it's not funny or anything but I thought it was cute I guess. I dunno! I like going on hikes and stuff because you never know what you're gonna see in nature. Oh! I also love going to museums! One summer I went to the museum like every day and by the end of the month I was more informative than the tour guide. Not that it was hard, I mean the tour guide thought that the Age of Discovery came BEFORE the Classical Antiquity period and it's like uh duh yeah I'm sure Christopher Columbus was doing exploring before the fall of the Roman Empire. The 15th century was BEFORE Ancient Greece, I mean come on now, everyone knows the Antiquity ended around the 5th Century!"
I would like to learn _______ in the next year.
"I kinda want to learn philosophy but just for the sake of information, I don't want to debate philosophy. I'm not Socrates. Oh, I think I'd like to learn how to write a vampire story. Like a good one that makes people go 'Oh, this is spicy but the good kind of spice like in chicken chettinad, not the bad spice that flavorless people put on their food because they don't have flavor. Like...mayo. I don't know, I feel like I'm always learning."
This is how I define success and failure:
"I don't really have a definition because even in failure if you learned something then there's success to be found. Sometimes we lose a game but the team doesn't let it get them down and even when we're losing I'm doing my best to make sure the crowd is still excited and that's success isn't it? I don't think I'm a failure even if my eyebrows are a little too bushy and my teeth are a little big, I think I'm a success because imperfections are a good thing!"
I'm inspired by _______.
"Kathleen Kenyon! She's like one of the most well known archeologists ever. She died without being married which is sad but her contributions to the field are incredible. There's an entire excavation method named after her! I don't want to die unmarried or unloved but if I could contribute half as much to the archeological world as she did...then I think I would be happy even if no one mourned me!"
These songs are the soundtrack to my life:
My fondest memory as a child was _______.
"Uh...seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark at summer camp. Well it wasnt summer camp, I just called it that. It was at a drive in and I was camping in the park nearby and managed to see the movie. It was during summer. So...summer camp! But Indiana Jones is not a very good archeologist but he is very good at punching Nazis!"
If I could tell my younger self something, I would say:
"It's okay to be sad every now and then. Have a cry, it'll be okay. Sometimes it's necessary."
The things that make me smile are _______.
"Getting scraped knees. Running. Hearing the cheer of the crowd and knowing I helped in any way. History."
My whole life story in one sentence:
"Himani Chakrabarti made life fun for everyone she met. Wait...that's kind of like a eulogy isn't it? I don't want it to sound like I'm dead. Let me try again..... Himani Chakrabarti never got married to a vampire but her life didn't suck anyway! No...still too much like a eulogy. Hmm...My life story is constantly being updated, like any good piece of history. Yeah...yeah that sounds good. By the way, this questionare needs more spaces to write answers, I had to use extra sheets!"
