Oh! Also... Looking for a superhero thing. Got some characters I wanna play -- if I don't find someone for it immediately, I'll add something to the main post tomorrow.
Aaaand another Darker Stuff added! It's sort of in the same vein as the Goddess RP -- but a little bit lighter with more potential for romance if we wanted to take that route.
Added a thing to the Darker Stuff section -- The Price of Failure, where I'm looking for someone to play the role of a fallen goddess who was once hellbent on destroying the world, and who was defeated by a hero with the backing of the other gods.
Welcome! Just remember that I'm the boss* and everything will go smoothly, I promise!
* It is well known that fairies cannot lie, and therefore this statement is 100% accurate and should not be questioned because to question the word of a fairy would be silly due to the no lying rule that fairies definitely abide by.
I'm the fairy overlord and I've been here for about a week or so now -- and I've met lots of great people, started a ton of roleplays and so far things have been great. Since I've had plenty of success on this site, I was wondering if maybe there were some people out there who would be interested in doing some world building with me -- and then potentially playing IN that world.
I've mentioned it before in one of my interest checks, but I've got a post-apocalyptic samurai-punk world that I've been working on. It's sort of loosely inspired by the game Kenshi, but instead of taking place on an alien planet, it's a bleak future version of Earth. So far, I have one person I'm playing in that world with, and I've enjoyed that scene enough that it's inspired me to keep working on the details, come up with a timeline of events, work out ideas for warlords and monsters, etc. It's a big job, and while I'm okay with doing it on my own, I think it'd be a lot more fun to have someone to bounce ideas off of and work with to make the world really come to life.
Here's a short synopsis for what the world is supposed to be:
In the distant future, humanity has fallen into decline. The world's governments have collapsed in the aftermath of a poorly remembered disaster, leaving only the broken remnants of their people to create tribes. Warlords have long since risen to power, gathering their supporters and building armies to take for themselves land and resources.
In the places where humanity has no hold, a heavy fog covers the ground, home to giant beasts and terrifying monsters that hunt in the mists, preying on the unlucky human wandering too far into the unknown, or each other.
Guns have long since fallen out of favor, details on how to build them having long since been forgotten. They have been replaced once again by more easily constructed swords, and those who are the most skilled in their use are in high demand across the world.
Like I said, it's super brief... I've had some ideas for what causes the fog, what caused the decline of humanity, and some more fantastical elements for the world that have cropped up since the apocalypse happened. I'd be happy to go into detail about all of that with you, if you were interested in building onto the idea with me!
As far as PLAYING in this world, I'd be up for coming up with a new storyline, or using the Master/Apprentice pairing that I advertised for before. I'd also, alternatively be interested in playing sort of a prequel to the story I was advertising for, where instead of taking on an apprentice, The Wanderer -- My character -- IS the apprentice, learning under her own master. Was thinking that it would be either a romance, or a story of unrequited love, with an inevitably tragic ending -- The Wanderer doesn't have her master around in the future after all... Who knows what ended up happening to them. Either way, I'd be looking at a FxF pairing, if we did the prequel idea. Willing to do either FxF or MxF otherwise, with me playing the male role!
I'll stop rambling now! I hope someone will take interest and come take part. I honestly feel like the world around the characters is actually one of the most fun -- and most important -- things to determine!
