Hey, I'm Salt. Long-time roleplayer, but new-ish here~

Looking for one or two more! If the thread isn't closed I'm still looking~

I am literate and love to dig deep into plotting. I do my best to proofread and edit my posts so they're acceptable, but I'm not perfect. I'm laid back, so I won't be critical of any mistakes in my partner's posts. We're here for fun, right?

Now, As far as gender pairings are concerned, I'm pretty open as long as it suits the story. I play male and female characters and often bring sub-characters into the fray. I can post most days except for Fridays and Saturdays. Though I may post these nights, they're busy, and I'm often too beat. I work nights, so my hours can be odd. I have samples in my profile if you wanna peek first~

For you, I just want regular replies, consistent quality, at least a few paragraph-long posts. Most importantly, plot with me! I always want to do more worldbuilding and pass character ideas back and forth. I need it! Oh, 18+ too.

I live on the West Coast, but I'm a massive night owl. If you're looking for someone to trade posts with late at night, I might be for you~

Below, I'll throw a few concepts I'm craving. I like using faceclaims. I prefer anime/drawn claims to photographic ones. As for character sheets, we can go either way. Sometimes, they feel fitting, and in others, learning in character is more fun.

I have nearly no interest in cannon characters; I'm down with AU if you want to use things as a template. Using references for inspiration can be great! If you're interested or want to ask for more info about anything, pm me! Also, pm me if you don't see something below but get the impression I might like what you're craving. Happy to chat, and If it's not my jam, I promise to be nice about it~

Okay, into the good stuff! I won't lie; I've been feeling smutty lately. I'm widely kink-friendly (with the exception of incest.) I don't want to jump right into erotica, but a story weighted towards steamy or even lewd times sounds fun. Though smut is fun, I still want a good story and plot to enjoy. Like a 66/33 story/smut split? Don't ask about that other 1%.

Ideas! Both of these can be as cozy, warm, and wholesome. Or gritty and dark as we like. I'm a fan of both~

Far-future post-apocalypse:

I don't want something dreary and dusty and despotic. Instead, I love the idea that it has been a significant amount of time, and the "old world" has become overgrown with lush greenery. They are still very present in the new world, but things have receded to the dark ages.

I have a couple of ideas for this one. I'd really like to hear your ideas, too. Are there themes or characters in this kind of setting you would want to try out? Lets chat!

Could do the fallout style, where a human emerges from stasis and emerges into the world way later than expected. Humans are now rare, and the world is overrun with mutants and creatures. We can have anything be the way the world changed. Fantasy races, anthro mutations, disgusting freaks?

Another idea is just Mad Max but in the lush ruins of a city instead of, so much sand. And more sand.

Slice-of-life/merchants tale:

This one is a bit looser, but I'm inspired to do something like Spice And Wolf or Kino's Journey, only there are some twists. YC being the merchant/traveler/adventurer and MC being indentured/bought/enslaved by YC. play into the power dynamics and some dom and sub stuff. That's all here~ It's just a fun go to places and do SoL things and do little arcs, but it also has a strange dynamic.
Rune Berg

Rune continued to dismantle the Oni-pattern methodically. Their orders were simple: reduce casualties by holding the line and focus on large patten Warped. It was the second that he was most concerned with. This area was only beginning to be reclaimed. Though the oni were great in numbers, if they were all that held the prefecture, then the frame pilots wouldn't be here.

Between blunt batterings delivered to the weak Warped, Rune's eyes scanned through the ruins of the buildings as he pressed forward. Nothing but more oni lurking in the shadows, stirred enough by his presence to lash out. With an almost comical bonk motion, he pulverized another into the ground with the blunt edge of his shield. Unfortunately, the moment's distraction was enough for the onslaught of bolts hailing down the street to catch him flat-footed.

Splashes of Saffire light erupted across Wargs armor as the first few bolts landed. His HUD flickering red with alarms indicating the direction of assault, he whipped around, slamming his shield down to brace behind its cover. A glance down showed nominal damage. Gritting his teeth as the sound of the bolts pounding against his shield thundered, blue bolts whizzing around him in a storm. Something had to be done; he wasn't there to be target practice.

"Elise, I'll push their position to keep their fire on me. Do you have a line on them?"

He quickly peeked around the shield to see what they were dealing with. "Oh..." he murmured. He wasn't scared of spiders, but seeing ones the size of a tank was not thrilling. Sheepishly clearing his throat, realizing he was still on the mic.

"I can't see much from down here; let me know what I can do for you. I'll see if I can't get close." With an affirmative nod behind the shield as if she could even see it, Rune took a deep breath.

Tearing up his shield, he began weaving up the street. He couldn't believe The disregard the Warped had for each other. In some ways, it was frustrating that even with their organization and cooperation, humans couldn't hold off beasts that brazenly mowed down their won in pursuit of a single target. These spiders Had mowed down half as many Warped as he had mashed shice he'd landed. It made no sense.
Rune Berg

Rune watched as Elise descended slowly and gracefully to the JSDF frontline. Switching radio channels to speak with her directly, he turned to observe the battlefront. The Warped were getting rowdy, but it looked within their control.

"Descending like that, rumors will start that there's an angel on the battlefield." His tone was joking, but he felt there was some truth to it. "Anyways, I best get to work."

Switching back to regular comms, he began walking past the barriers and gun emplacements; Rune felt compelled to say something to the soldiers. He hoped they wouldn't just see him as some tool or a weapon.

"Ganbatte!" came the shout of encouragement from the crimson frame before it began its sprint onto the battlefield.

Rune ignored most of the smaller Oni-Type Warped as he headed straight for the larger ones. Batting away the few close enough to engage with him without losing a step. Approaching the first large one, it reared back a haymaker of a punch, uncoordinated yet powerful. Rune planted his foot down, drawing his shield back before punching with the flat rim at the top. Like a battering ram, his blow met the Warped with concussive force. The telltale BONG of his shield resonating echoed down the street as the warps arm cracked and whipped back limp. Coming back down, he hammered into the knee of the warped, crumpling it down to a more manageable height.

Tucking down, he compressed his body, building up a vicious uppercut. Against enemies that posed a lower threat, his shield was used more like a sledgehammer than a tool for defense. Uncoiling all the force he could, he punched upward, pulverizing the Oni's grotesque head. The body fell limp.

Turning, he caught a human-sized Warped leaping at him. With a twist, he backhanded the creature with enough force to throw it dozens of feet in the air, disappearing through a skyscraper window. The small ones were no problem. The large ones were only enough to slow him down. Rune slowly pushed the line of Warped.
Rune Berg

Rune nodded at the mention of his name. It was the first motion he made during the brief. It came with a telling clench of his jaw, lips pursing slightly. Given his capabilities, it was the most decisive strategic decision to put him on supporting the line. It wasn't that he envied the frontlines, but he wished he was more offensively capable. All four of his fellow pilots eclipsed him in the ability to vanquish the Warped.

"Yes, Ma'am," he said resolutely to his orders. It was a good choice, and he was happy to have the opportunity to help. Plus, he would have good company for the assignment, not that he thought any of them would be poor company.

The forward team got equipped quickly in the hangar and leaped directly from the ship into the battlefield. Rune took a moment to remove his jacket, hanging it beside the sizeable, jagged ruby shard, vaguely conical with a streak of shimmering cerulean bolting. His large hand gripped the dog tag he wore from his previous service, a silent promise to his countrymen he would fight hard for all of them before he took it off, slipping it into the pocket of his jacket.

Eyeing the ruby, he took a deep breath before picking it up. Instantly it reacted, shattering into hundreds of blades of red and blue light that aggressively whirled into place, forming thick plating. From the neck down, his whole body was encased in light that hardened and dulled to resemble Warg, his Chi-mechframe. Last to form was the billowing black cape growing right from the mantle around his neck.

Turning to face the last Pilot in the hangar with him, his partner for this mission, he gave her a toothy smile.

"You and me this time. Let's give 'em hell."

With that, red energy shaped like the maw of a wolf grew up from the back. Leaning forward, it seemingly consumed his head in a massive bite before squeezing down to become the full helm of his frame.

"See you on the ground~" he said as he turned and charged the hangar door, flinging himself into the sky.

There was nothing Rune could do to stop from careening toward the earth. Thankfully terminal velocity wasn't enough to do significant harm, he'd be lying to say it didn't sting a bit, but there was no better way to make an entrance. The wind whistled and howled as he flew down past the tallest rooves of the city.

Asphalt buckled, and dust erupted from the projectile of a mech slamming down. Knees bent and form hunched forward, leaning against the massive shield with the base firmly buried in the road. Rune straightened slowly to his total height, seeming even more massive in the mech. Turning slowly to the frontline of JSDF soldiers, the cerulean lights on his mech pierced through the debris.

"Unit Berg, Reporting to support JSDF," he said formally before ripping the shield from the ground. Falling into their ranks, he watched the sky for Elise.
