Crash huffed but stayed where he was "To be fair, I think I just need a plaster for this thing...my head's so used to trauma it's worked up a resistance" He grinned, tapping his head with his knuckles before rubbing the back of his neck. He felt guilty about holding Kathy up and he knew the right thing to do would have been to encourage her to go on ahead so she didn't miss anything...but...the fact was, he didn't want her to go and the idea that they could head there together was too good a chance to pass up. So he didn't pass comment on it at all, he gave her an apologetic smile and thought about fixing himself up so they could head off.

The shapeshifter had just taken a step towards one of the tools on the floor when Kathy's warning reached him, having already started to reach for the implement, he quickly retracted his hand and lifted both of them in a sign of surrender as he stood back up. "Okay..." He murmured, feeling more than a little awkward about it as Kathy cleaned up his mess. 'I should be doing that...my mess, my responsibility' tucking the tips of his fingers in the pockets of his jeans, Crash leant back on his heels and stared at the ground in front of him, subtly glancing at Kathy as she moved around the infirmary. "So...do you think the assembly will be just like the last one?" He asked after a moment of silence, no longer able to keep quiet...a moment was a long time for him, considering the speed of his thought processes. It was also a lame attempt at breaking the silence, not to mention the last thing he wanted to ask her.

He felt his breath catch in his throat as Kathy asked the question he'd really hoped she wouldn't...anyone else and he could have deflected it with a semi truth. But Kathy...he lifted his fingers up to touch the rough material of his eye patch, desperately searching for something to say. "Well..." He stopped to clear his throat when his voice wavered. 'Not yet' Luckily for him before he could admit his hesitance or his secret, Lily came out of the bathroom...and scared the hell out of him. He jumped back into the bars of the bed behind him with a sharp intake of breath, clearly thinking the pink haired angel was someone else for a brief moment. "Jeez-Lily, do not sneak up on..." He trailed off as she seemed to ignore everything and started to prepare something.

Despite the fact his new found 'spidey' senses were tingling, Crash quietly moved over to Kathy "Just for the record, she wasn't like this before she went in that cupboard" He murmured, feeling a frown cross his face as he tried to think of something to say to Lily. He didn't resist her as she pulled him away from Kathy and sat him down, rather he willingly complied...even when she wrapped a bandage around his head to cover the small cut on his forehead. The mysterious flower did cause him to wince for a brief moment but apart from that he remained silent as he watched her work, up until she spoke and went to turn away from him.

Possessed by a rather bizarre moment of maturity, Crash got to his feet as Lily turned away from him and reached out to gently touch her upper arm. "Lily? Hey, look at me a sec" He asked, trying to catch her eye even if she turned away from him "What happened in there?" It seemed like a decent enough question though he knew all too well that it was also a difficult one, he gave her a moment or two to answer before speaking again "You don't have to answer that...but you do need to tell me what you need, right now. Somethings clearly happened...so tell me what you need and I'll get it" He offered, really hoping a hot beverage, a sit down and a listening ear was all she needed...he remembered too late that the last time he'd done such a thing, he'd ended up in a rather unsavoury place at a rather unsavoury time. He'd also forgotten how bad at this he was, he knew Lily but he didn't know Lily...he didn't even know her favourite color, so how could he know what was wrong with her? He just knew it wasn't right...Either way he was so focused on Lily and Kathy, he didn't hear Fate's hollow chuckle neither did he notice him go past...not that he'd of recognised him in his current form.

Rain wrinkled her nose at the idea "You need a license to hunt here?" She repeated almost in disbelief "Screw that. I'll hunt when I want and where I want, these 'license' people can bite me" Was her indignant response, it was a little brash but she was dealing with enough change and restriction. 'Rules, regulations, licenses...just like home except there's more paperwork' she decided in her mind, though she did rethink her words...they had been rather irresponsible, and hunting without a license would be the same.

The werewolf was rather disappointed when Aurelia -nor Ara for that matter- offered up an answer to her question. She had hoped for some suggestions, considering reading would probably be a must here...the idea of picking up reading again was tempting. 'It's been a long time...perhaps too long' she thought to herself, frowning as a memory flitted to the front of her mind. A memory tainted by pain...before it could show on her face she pushed it aside. "Nothing? Books around here must be really boring" She decided on saying, glancing at Aurelia. "My source clearly didn't steal books from here" She added, lifting a hand to her face she pushed a lock of hair behind her ear "Although Little Women loses its edge after a while...and seems to be completely inaccurate come to think of it"

She raised an eyebrow at Ara, questioning the look she'd given her 'It is...though it's less complicated' she thought inwardly, noting again how different it was back home...she really had taken their way of life for granted. "I almost learnt Spanish...but English is pretty much my native tongue" She told Ara with a shrug "I have an...overprotective family" She decided on adding, thinking that would probably be enough to explain her naivety. 'Overprotective...more like strictly traditional...oh hello' Rain's thoughts -and eyes- were distracted as the trio passed by a rather pleasing blonde. She almost missed Ara's answer to her question...almost. "You shoot other people? For fun? Sounds like a waste" She shrugged, wondering why they'd go to the trouble of wasting bullets...or why there would be any other type of shooting. "Rhythm games..." Now that was something she liked the sound of, less messy than shooting.

Rain smiled as Ara laughed shaking her head as she did, she had to briefly wonder what she'd gotten herself into but the thought didn't linger. It was all very exciting...and different. Besides exploring with Ara and Aurelia wasn't irresponsible, it was logical, she needed to know where things were...etc, etc, etc. "Probably..." She lifted up onto her tiptoes to try and see over the crowd of students. "One way to find out I suppose" And with that the werewolf, poked the person in front of her out of the way and proceeded to push her way through the crowd. Most of the students moved aside without complaint and those that didn't seemed to change their minds once they locked eyes with Rain.

The werewolf stopped once she was on the other side of the double doors and looked behind to make sure Ara and Aurelia had followed her through, the gap behind her probably didn't stay open for long. If they had followed her she asked "Why do we need to be here again?" if they hadn't she stood there for a moment before moving over to the back row of chairs and ushering a trio of students out of their seats. They weren't happy about it but she didn't seem to care, she simply sat herself down in preparation for whatever was coming next.

Upon hearing Kathy's laugh the shapeshifter felt his grin grow, almost forgetting the blunder he'd made before...the grin subsided and relief flooded his face when she shook her head, his gaze didn't leave her even as she glanced at something else. Mostly because he was nervous, if he looked away...well, it was obvious what he was worried about on that count. "W-well...I didn't have much choice in the matter" He murmured, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. He swallowed nervously as Kathy looked at the offered hand, worried for a moment that she wouldn't accept it. He was beyond relieved when she closed her fingers around his, he recalled how she had always gripped his wrist rather than his hand before the...

Once Kathy was on her feet, Crash reluctantly loosened his grip on her hand and small smile flittered across his face as he parted his lips to say something, lifting a hand as he was going to touch the back of his neck. When Kathy suddenly wrapped her arms around him however Crash's mind went blank, he wondered if she could hear his heart thudding in his chest. He swallowed a lump in his throat as her words hit him, calling a mixture of emotions to cross his face, guilt, uncertainty, relief, sorrow, joy it was unclear what was what. Two seconds in he hugged her back, folding one arm around her back as the other came around her side so his hand could briefly touch the back of her head. When he felt her move his arms sprung out of the way so they didn't hinder her retreat, his face had only just started to return to a normal color, now the blood came rushing back into his cheeks. One of his hands shot up to rub the back of his neck and the other dropped to his side.

"I-it's-" He tried to stutter out as she took another step back, his arm reflexively shot up and he jerked forward as she slipped on something though he retreated as she regained her balance. 'It's more than fine...' he finished in his thoughts, deliberately ignoring the damp patch that he could feel on his chest. He was acutely aware that Kathy hadn't hugged him before...he pulled his hand away from his neck and ran his fingers into his hair unintentionally pulling it away from his eye patch as he tried to find something to say, he knew he'd missed his chance to say he'd missed her too...yet those were the only words that jumped to his lips. The nervous laugh made him smile as Kathy whirled through two more unnecessary apologies...well at least he thought they were unnecessary.

Crash felt his smile soften as she grew more flustered "You don't need to apologise..." He murmured, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck again. He went to say he was 'fine' when she promptly reminded him exactly where he was. "The infirmary?" He repeated, taking his eye off of her to glance around. He felt like he was actually seeing it all for the first time...technically he was because of the way he'd entered. His hand lifted to his forehead, wiping at the drying blood "I...Lily, made me come here" He answered "I had a run in with a rose bush...and a tree" He admitted sheepishly "Wh-what about you?" Concern crossed his face and for a moment it looked as if he were going to step closer to her but he stopped short.

He jumped as Illias cleared her throat and turned to look at her in surprise, having not noticed her before he felt instantly guilty. Kathy had a way of pulling his focus. Color flushed his face with renewed vigour as he rubbed the back of his neck and smiled apologetically "Only if you're around me I'm afraid" He glanced back at Kathy briefly. "Ah sorry, I'm Crash by the way" He added turning back to Illias and tapping his head with two fingers as if he were saluting, he managed to bash the tender part of his head in the process, cutting the action short as he jolted backwards. "Forgot about that...I should probably fix myself up...Lily seems to be lost in the-" He cut himself off as a boy he hadn't seen before, suddenly ran out of the bathroom. The shapeshifter barely got out of the way in time, he frowned after Edric no doubt wondering what had possessed him to run. Suddenly the color drained from his face and he sheepishly checked the direction he'd come from, in his experience people ran from the Athalia infirmary for one reason..."Or maybe that's the sign that it's time to go"

@Theobromine

Crash heard someone flee the room as he tried to arrange his thoughts and blink the stars away from his eyes. He wasn't quite ready to move but he was acutely aware that there were other people near him and he was almost sure that he had heard...then again he'd hit his head twice.

“C-Can you stand?”

A second time, he blinked as Kathy came to kneel beside him. 'Definitely given myself concussion this time' he thought to himself "I think I can" He replied with ease, focusing on Kathy's face with his good eye he looked a little confused. "...it is?" 'Wait a minute...' Crash took a moment to take in Kathy's appearance, noting that she looked a little...different. "You look-" He started, reaching past her hand he touched her cheek with the tips of his fingers. "-real"

All at once several emotions flooded across his face along with a huge amount of blood as his cheeks flushed a spectacular red. 'REAL! YOU IDIOT, WHAT ARE YOU- He jerked upright and promptly hit the top of his head on the edge of the table. "Ow!" He winced pulling back from the table and clutching his head. "Fiddlesticks, I-I" he stuttered, pulling his hair down over his eye patch as he looked back at Kathy, the green in his eye turned back to ruby color returning to his visible eye. "I-I'm sorry I...err..." He trailed off as his hand sought out the back of his neck and a bashful grin crossed his face. "I-it's good to see you again too" He finally decided on saying his smile softening for a moment before his memory kicked in. "Ah, I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked, looking down at the silver tray.

Before looking around him with a guilty expression "I shouldn't have shot in the door like that...definitely should have been looking where I was going" He apologised making a move to get to his feet, carefully avoiding the table as he did, once he was up, he offered Kathy his hand. His face was still bright red from his blunder earlier, but he seemed to have mostly recovered from his tumble minus the wound on his head.

Rain heard the change in Aurelia's breathing, though she missed the skip in her pulse...there were just to many people around and she hadn't been concentrating. She glanced over her shoulder at the shy girl curiously before refocusing her attention on Ara 'Good with a gun...' she gave Ara a questioning look "I personally avoid guns, but each to their own" She shrugged, though her shoulders tensed "I could probably give you a few pointers on tracking though" She told her with a small smile "Do you think we'd be able to hunt here?" She asked, surprised and noticeably excited by the prospect. Even thinking about hunting caused her eyes to change color, though they glowed faintly it was debatable how noticeable it was in the daylight being as her eyes were now a dark purple rather than blue.

"It is troublesome" Rain confirmed with a small sigh. Her ears pricked as she heard Aurelia's whisper, an unreadable emotion crossed her eyes as she recalled the last time she'd read a book. 'Father would have been furious if he knew' She thought glancing at Ara as she confirmed she also enjoyed the peaceful activity '...not that I didn't pay the price for it anyway'. Rain's eyebrow rose as she registered the change in Ara's expression before she was able to recover. Looking back at Aurelia she noticed the change in her expression "What books do you like to read?" She asked directing her question at Aurelia with a look though it was open ended enough to include Ara.

What was said next all but flew straight over Rain's head 'Cafes, games centers...sketchy pawn shops...I feel like I'm from another planet. Why don't we know any of these things?' she chewed her lip as a wave of annoyance passed through her "I have no idea what any of those are, but they sound interesting enough...what kind of games do you play?" She asked looking Ara over as she tried to peg what the other girl would play '...maybe tail snap? Definitely not knock out...' She mused until the word 'exploring' popped up.

Exploring was something she understood well, she nodded her head and smiled "Count me in" She piped, watching Ara curiously as she dropped back to walk next to Aurelia. She frowned as Ara looped her arm around Aurelia's shoulders, internally questioning her motives. "It'll be fun, come with us Aurelia" She encouraged, either waiting for them to start walking again or continuing to walk at a slower pace in front of them.

Crash gulped at her words, it would probably be necessary but that just sounded painful. He was relieved when she happily answered his question regarding herbs, a smile lit up his face despite how worried he was about going to the infirmary. He didn't seem surprised by what he was told though he gave her a small nod to signal that he understood what she meant by that.

By the time they reached the infirmary his head was swimming with information about medicine, some things he'd already known or picked up whilst travelling, others were new and exciting. He'd been so focused on what Lily was saying he'd completely forgotten where they were going until she announced it. He started as they reached the door, giving it a distrustful look, he didn't notice Lily's mischievous grin. "Wait, what?" He asked turning to look at her as she started to walk away from him, his face fell and he lifted a hand as if to reach for her "Wait! Lily don't just-" but she was gone before he could do anything about it "...leave me here" he murmured, looking back at the door.

"Okay, come on you can do this...it's not as bad as you think it is" He told himself, though a shiver passed down his spine as he thought of Kiwi and her army of bugs. He looked back the way they'd come wondering how far he'd get if he simply made a run for it 'Not very far, you'll probably fall over and knock yourself out' he told himself. No. He had to do this...it wasn't that hard, a simple open the door and walk in job. "Besides Lily wouldn't lie about this" He assured himself and reached for the door, opening it slowly he focused on the ceiling above him as it opened.

Once the gap was wide enough for him to fit through, he literally threw himself through it and stumbled into the infirmary, only taking his eye of the ceiling once he was clear of the door he looked forward just in time to realise there were three people in front of him. With a yelp of surprise, he threw himself to the side, narrowly avoiding a collision and falling on his face...again. As he went down he managed to smack the edge of a silver tray holding sterilised implements and sent them flying across the room in all directions, as well as pushing the table they were on across the into a cabinet, causing its contents to rattle dangerously. With a groan, Crash rolled over onto his back and pressed his hand to his aching head "...that one hurt too" he grumbled, focusing on the ceiling above him as he tried to gather his bearings.

Despite how much Crash had changed over the years, it was becoming increasingly obvious that he hadn't changed all that much on the inside. He was clearly still spectacularly clumsy...and he was still unable to hide his feelings, they danced across his face with ease and often speed. As Lily assured him that Kiwi wasn't there, suspicion, fear and guilt crossed his expression before he finally settled on relief. "Hey, I trust you, I really do its just I really don't think this is that bad. I've handled worse, honestly" He tried, putting a little more pressure on his wound, it stung but it was superficial "Are you sure you don't want to let me off the hook just this once?" He asked her with a light hearted grin.

That quickly slid off his face as he resisted the urge to sulk. "I just considered them an occupational hazard..." He told her though he trailed off as she narrowed her eyes at him and cooly added in a threat, that spooked him more. The color left his face as his mind raced through several thousand scenarios, involving a mad Lily and a medical facility. He inhaled sharply as she suddenly smiled and started pushing him towards the infirmary, he complied though there was definitely hesitation there. "Remind me to never get on your bad side...because I will forget and I know I'll regret it" He told her, reaching up to rub the back of his neck as he finally gave in and walked like a normal person to the infirmary.

Well as normal as Crash could, he kept his hand on the wound on his head and watched where he was putting his feet. With the infirmary in sight, Crash's nerves increased. He glanced back at Lily, turning his head to the side so he could see her. Forgetting that without his other eye he couldn't really see where he was going..."So...these old fashioned medicines you use, are we talking natural herbs or?" He asked to strike up conversation, considering mentioning Carmen hadn't worked earlier...although he was genuinely curious as to how the skylark was doing.

The shapeshifter noticed the blush rise in Lily's cheeks, he even noticed the way she nervously brought her hands together. However before he could really say anything more on the manner, her question caught him off guard and then...well.

Crash's face was emitting enough heat to warm a room as he looked at Lily, noticing how hard she was trying to stop herself from laughing...though failing miserably. "Yeah, yeah let it all out" He sighed as she finally succumbed to hysterics. Despite the fact he was extremely embarrassed by it all, he had a smile on his face. Even if it was at his own expense, making someone laugh like that was priceless. He carefully stepped around the rose bush, pulling thorns from his clothing with one hand and trying to hold back blood with his other. The cut wasn't deep it was just poorly placed.

"Mr. Accident Prone?" He repeated, raising his eyebrow at her and instantly regretting it as it made his head sting. "I suppose it beats clutz" He murmured, keeping his hand on his head he reached for hers with his other. Blinking in surprise at the warm feeling that washed over him. "Whoa...okay that was weird" He stated, though the pain in his head and shoulders did lessen. "Don't waste too much energy on me, when you're as clumsy as me your body gets used to getting battered after a while" He grinned sheepishly, retracting his hand if Lily released him or allowing her to hold onto him...holding onto him meant he had less of a chance of escaping a trip to infirmary. "Thank you though" He smiled gratefully, before shuffling nervously on the spot. "We really don't have to g-go to the infirmary though...honestly...I-I think I'm fine" He stuttered, wiping at his forehead with a wince.

"For the most part..." He mumbled, despite his hesitance he knew if Lily insisted, he'd comply. At least if he was with Lily he couldn't get busted for being late for orientation...right? In a bid to strike up conversation again he asked "What were we talking about before...was it Carmen?" Even if he wanted to run he wouldn't have been able to so for now he accepted that wherever Lily went he would follow.

Crash nodded his head as he listened, having learnt the bare minimum of procedures himself he had an idea of what she meant. "Mm, books can only take you so far...Sorry I can't be of much help but I could keep an eye out for doctors...since I'm so accident prone" He grinned at her, though he tried really hard to avoid infirmaries and/or any other medical facility that contained nurses, doctors or scientists, he figured he'd brave it if he hurt himself when he was out and about...he felt even more motivated to do so when his peculiar, philosophical moment appeared to make Lily uneasy.

Guilt slithered into his expression as he realised her smile was gone, even after he threw in the jumbled quote. It'd been years since he'd thought on that wisdom...over six years to be exact. As Lily gave him a weak smile he rubbed the back of his neck and nodded his head, unable to think of anything to say. If anything he was eager to move on from it...which is why his face brightened when Lily agreed to walk with him.

Crash's smile grew as Lily shuffled over to his side, he was glad she was willing to come with him. It'd been a while since he'd been in favourable company. He subtly kept Lily on his left side so he could turn to look at her as they walked, which he did every so often...though that probably wasn't a good idea considering his clumsy tendencies. "Really? So many familiar people, I can't wait to catch up with them!" He grinned, a burst of excitement making him hop a step as his face lit up. Catching himself he cleared his throat and calmed himself down...sort of, he was still buzzing at the prospect of seeing them all again.

His mouth opened as if he were going to say something as she pushed his shoulder, instead of words he ended up giving her a bashful smile as color flooded his cheeks and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeaaaah...probably a wise move" He admitted, seeing no point in trying to deny it. Feeling the heat in his cheeks he quickly tried to divert her attention to another subject "So you keep tabs on Carmen, hmm?" He asked trying to even out his smile but failing miserably as his eyebrows rose. Usually he wouldn't have noticed such a subtle hint but he was on top form today, focused even. Nothing was going to take him by surprise.

"Why? Is there... someone you're looking for?"

...except that. His eye widened for a brief moment as his brain scrambled for a response, he'd convinced himself that his question had been subtle. He'd even hid the disappointment at not hearing her name among those Lily could sense. "N-no, I was...I was just asking" He stuttered out, turning to watch her reaction. "Well...sort of...I-I was hoping that" He was so focused on what he was trying to say that the 'focus' he'd had a minute ago had now completely dissipated, he wasn't even looking where he was going any more..."Maybe you had...heard from Ka-aaah!" As he finally got to the point of his rambling, the toe of his boot caught in a rut on the path and sent him head over heels. Anybody else would have probably been able to recover from such a thing...but Crash...

As it was this was the starting point of another Crashtastic accident...as he jerked forward he realised that he was in danger of landing face first in one of the carefully tended flower beds, so in an attempt to save them, he threw his weight to the side, rather than backwards (which would have helped a normal person recover). Doing, this meant he now threatened the life of an innocent rose bush. With a muffled exclamation, the shapeshifter exploded in a puff of purple smoke and disappeared between its branches, the bush wriggled from side to side with a volley of high pitched squeaks before a tiny ball of red fluff rolled out of the back of it and straight into the trunk of a tree behind it hitting it...head first. The ball of red fluff, that was in fact a Crash version of a dormouse flopped backwards onto the grass with a thud before exploding in another puff of purple smoke, leaving a groaning shapeshifter in its wake.

"Okay..." Crash complained, lifting a hand to his head to touch a small gash on the left side of his forehead. He got to his feet with a small hiss and turned to look at Lily...though he wasn't entirely sure which Lily to focus on. "...that one hurt" He admitted, grinning sheepishly as he slowly picked his way back over to her, trying not to appear too wobbly.

Rain smiled at Ara's response, the idea of that was appealing and rather refreshing. "Your chances are improving already then" She stated. 'Even bad impressions can work in your favour' She envied her for that, for purely selfish reasons of course. Rain's eyes dropped to take in Ara's appearance as the girl looked down at her own clothes, she had 0 knowledge on 'fashion' but whatever Ara was wearing seemed...unique and well fitted. Nothing like Rain had seen before, she'd started to think that everyone here lived in jeans. Still she was probably being bias on the situation but she had a feeling she wasn't going to forget Ara all too quickly...admittedly if she had been blonde, that would have been a definite.

Her eyebrow quirked up as the list of abuse broadened 'Boil him...what kind of place is this?' "So I've been told...I'll bear that in mind if I meet him" She decided on saying. Avoiding the idea of killing, even in her world that had become less acceptable.

Despite being preoccupied with Ara, Rain did notice Aurelia's movement. Particularly the way she shrink away and eventually edged herself to stand behind her. 'Move towards the werewolf...what an odd reaction' She was amused by the thought of it, though she figured neither of them knew what she was anyway. Still Aurelia's movement had effectively placed Rain between her and Ara, much to the werewolf's surprise. 'I'm not going to protect you...' She thought, turning her head to look at Aurelia for a moment before turning her attention back to Ara. It wasn't that she disliked Aurelia but she wasn't a part of her pack, so she saw little need to put herself in harms way...mind you, she couldn't be bothered to move out of the way either.

Rain smiled as Ara nodded her confirmation and turned her head just in time to catch Aurelia doing the same. "Okay then...lets move out" She shrugged, turning to lead the trio down the corridor...of course she hadn't a clue which way to go but she figured someone had to start them off. "I have no idea where I'm going by the way, so feel free to chip in with directions" She told them both providing they went with her, if they didn't she only walked a few paces away before waiting for them.

She kept pace with the other two girls, subconsciously trying to stay even with them, resisting the urge to step out in front and adamant she wouldn't fall behind. Until this moment she hadn't realised how much thought went into such a simple movement...or rather how much her people read into it. She glanced at Aurelia again as Ara directed a question at her'Well, something we have in common...that's a first' She thought on Ara's comment, wondering whether she should mention the similarity.

Inwardly grimacing as Ara decided it was time for someone else to contribute to the conversation...she was rather enjoying just listening, it was far easier than talking. 'Fun?' She tried not to frown and failed miserably. "Fun..." She murmured trying to recall the last time she'd experienced such a thing. "I suppose hunting is fun...though it's more of a necessity than anything" She mused more to herself than Ara, it was a job at the end of the day but she was hoping it would hit the bar...now she thought about it, she'd sworn not to mention it 'What does it matter now...'. "This is the first time I've left home and it's been a while since I've talked to other girls" She admitted after giving Aurelia a chance to answer first. "I wasn't given the chance to have fun at home, responsibilities and all that" She ran her fingers through her fringe and unless Aurelia piped up she stated "Besides I haven't the faintest idea what would be considered fun here" with a small shrug of her shoulders "What about you Ara? What do you do for fun?" The werewolf asked, turning to look at Ara carefully avoiding her eye as she did.

Crash's grin grew as Lily laughed softly, he figured he wasn't the only one who'd changed...though he did notice how outwardly Lily hadn't really changed that much if at all. "That's a relief to hear then" He added in "I can't speak for everyone...but I don't mind that. I'm not here just for the credits"

The shapeshifter noticed Lily freeze up by didn't comment on it, he did however shiver quite visibly as she mentioned Kiwi. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel a little safer knowing that Kiwi wasn't at the academy. "Old fashion medicines huh?" He commented despite her feelings on the matter, Crash seemed genuinely impressed. "Have you been studying medicine alongside your job here?" He asked curiously, briefly looking out over the garden around them as he waited for her answer.

He turned back to look at her as she spoke, "Maybe it's because it's who you are. I don't think it's entirely your heritage...I think its you. You're a healer through and through, its in your heart and your soul" He lifted his hand to his neck though he didn't look confused or embarrassed. "That's what I think...anyway" He grinned at her. And like the flip of a switch the serious edge left his face and he was back to his awkward self. "Besides, isn't there a famous quote...erm...something like there's knowledge in knowing who you are and doing what you're meant to" He added as a red tint settled in his cheeks and nervous energy joined the chaotic mixture within him.

The angel's next question threw him off guard however, there was a noticeable delay in his answer as he reached up to touch his forehead. "I-I haven't come across anyone I recognise..." He didn't quite get the 'yet' out but it almost hung in the air. "Walk with me?" Crash asked, moving off a few steps to see if Lily would walk with him, if she did he slowly headed towards the hallways, if not he simply stayed where he was.

Either way the smile on his face seemed to falter and a frown took its place, he seemed to be battling something on the inside. Luckily in true Crash fashion it was a mighty quick battle and before an awkward silence could descend he asked "Just out of curiosity..." He left a pause as he rubbed the back of his neck "W-who else is here exactly?" A small smile crept onto his face and he tried to appear as relaxed as possible but he found himself rather nervous about her response.

Rain didn't notice that the girl in front of her had been trying to speak, whilst she gabbled through questions. She should have...given where she was from but it appeared that in her desperation to make an impression, she simply forgot to pay attention.

As Aurelia politely answered her question, Rain quietly sighed in relief and retracted her hand when Aurelia bowed again. '...maybe they bow instead of shake hands now...' The werewolf thought to herself as she watched the black haired girl look back down at the floor "Nice to meet you as well...Aurelia"

'Hand shaking I can just about handle...bowing is a whole other thing' she thought with a bristle of arrogance. She didn't bow to anyone.

Rain looked taken aback as Aurelia looked up at her and answered her original question. She smiled gratefully at the shy girl, feeling a little more confident. Though as an awkward silence fell between them, Rain felt the pressure return. 'Crap...I'm talking to a human that doesn't like to talk...of all the' She thought lifting a hand up to sweep a long tendril of hair behind her ear. 'Okay think...what would be an interesting thing to say that doesn't involve blood or hunting'

Luckily for her she didn't have to think of anything. The werewolf looked past Aurelia at the newcomer as she came to stand with them lifting an eyebrow at the smile Ara gave them, her eyes flickered across Ara's face questioning the sincerity of it. 'Traffic? What an odd word' She thought turning to look at the students weaving around them "We should probably move" She agreed glancing at Aurelia before back at Ara wondering if this was a good time to introduce herself again. She had the feeling, words would come easier if the other woman accompanied them.

Ara quite clearly didn't have trouble finding words, if anything they flowed naturally off of her tongue. Though the werewolf was unable to pick up much for her body language shy of what knowingly displayed. 'This is going to take some getting used to' She thought as she tried to process everything that Ara said. "Make an impression and no-one will forget you" She said matter of factly, of course she wasn't aware of Ara's situation. "There's a strange man introducing himself...as you...and you want us to slap him?" She frowned at Ara clearly confused by the concept. 'A slap? They slap people here? No blood, no glory...just a tickle to the cheek and on your way' "That...is a new one on me" She decided after a while though she looked a little unsatisfied by her words and for a moment looked as if she was going to say something else...but then decided against it.

"Well since we're doing a poor job at being an obstacle, would you like to walk together to the auditorium?" She asked Aurelia before turning to Ara "If you're heading that way?"

The shapeshifter tried to appear as calm as possible as Lily greeted him back, the fact she'd recognised him made him instantly want to hug her. He refrained from doing so...barely...besides he was older now, more mature, adults didn't randomly squeeze the life out of someone with a bear hug...at least he didn't think they did. "I wasn't far off" He replied, turning towards her as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other.

Tapping his toe against the ground, one of his hands slid up to rub the back of his neck. He smiled at Lily as she considerately gave him a way to escape her question. "I don't mind, I've been travelling mostly...spending time here and there. Learnt a few new tricks" He answered her, trying to keep the guilt from his face as she continued on. "It looks amazing!" He exclaimed a little louder than he meant, unable to contain the sudden rush of excitement that passed through him. Clearing his throat he murmured "Sorry" before looking out over the school hoping she wouldn't notice the flush of embarrassment in his cheeks "Its clear you all put a lot of time and energy into this place" He told her, unable to keep the smile from his face even if he was embarrassed. He was also particularly happy to hear Carmen was here as well! As well as Maria and Criston, after the fall of the first academy he'd scarcely believed he'd see any of them again.

"I am indeed a student as strange as that sounds" He answered her, before rubbing the back of his neck and giving her a sheepish grin. "Well...if you mean accidentally scaring another student and getting myself blasted out of a window as trouble...then yes, I'm afraid I have" He admitted. "I promise I haven't broken anything..." He assured her though he missed off the 'yet' part. "Are you here as a student as well?" He asked.

Rain tensed up as the girl bumped into her side, more so from shock than anything else. She turned her head and blinked down at the girl with a raised eyebrow, noting how the girl kept her head low as she retreated. 'Submission?' The werewolf thought, tilting her head to the side as the girls glasses slid from her face and dropped onto the floor with a light tap.

Her ears twitched as the girl spoke and bowed, she opened her mouth to say something but the words didn't form. She could tell the dark haired girl was anxious, it was present in her every move, seeming to cling to the air. 'How do I...' She wondered, she wasn't used to other people let alone anxious ones. The werewolf relaxed her frame after a moment and softened her expression so she didn't appear as intimidating 'That's not going to be enough is it? Okay, you can do this. Prove that you're not just a Neanderthal' with that in mind she opened her mouth again "Don't worry about it" She told her, he voice was naturally dropping her gaze to the floor, she crouched down in front of Aurelia and scooped up the girls glasses. "It's partially my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going" She added, holding out the glasses for Aurelia to take as she peered up into her face.

Providing the girl took the glasses out of her hand, the werewolf quickly stood back up, glancing at the other people in the hallway as she tried to think of something else to say. "You looked like you were in a hurry...I mean, where were you heading?...no that's not it...Makers breath" Rain covered her eyes with her hand and huffed, clearly annoyed with herself. 'That's not right...What am I even trying to say?' She thought to herself, angry with her lack of charisma. After a moment, she took her hand away from her face, holding it in front of her for hesitantly. She seemed torn between extending it towards the girl and simply pulling it back to her side. "I'm Rain...kind of new around here, if you hadn't already guessed" She introduced herself, still holding her hand awkwardly in front of her and silently thinking she probably should have just opened with that, instead of focusing on where the girl was heading.

Finally, Athalia Academy. 'Home at last!' The thought stuck at the front of his mind as the shapeshifter carefully manoeuvred his bike through the front gates, hoping the loud purr of the engine didn't disturb anyone nearby. Despite the flurry of energy that whirled through him Crash slowly drove his bike over to one of the corners of the courtyard, impatient or not he didn't want to scratch the beauty beneath him. She had tirelessly carried him and what little possessions he had for miles, she had more than earnt his utmost respect.

Coming to a halt the shapeshifter dropped the kick stand before reaching up to turn the engine off. 'Wow, they spare no expense...this place looks...' He thought to himself, calmly removing his gloves before reaching up to take his helmet off. Despite appearing perfectly calm, he literally felt like he was about to explode...it was taking every inch of his willpower to keep from running around like a looney tune and whooping at the top of his voice. He stiffly dismounted his bike, rested the helmet on the back seat, unzipped his jacket and grabbed the key...very calmly. 'Alright, you're a mature guy now, cool as a cucumber...not that anyone says that anymore, or do they? How would I know?' his thoughts continued on with their confusing tangent as he carefully adjusted the patch over his eye and made his way up the steps and into the hallways of Athalia Academy.

As soon as he was inside the walls of the academy the 23-year-old pretty much lost it, one minute he was stood there in his human form looking all 'normal' and in the next he practically exploded in a puff of purple smoke. Leaving an adolescent red and cream German Shepherd in his wake, that in turn shook out its coat before tearing off down the hallways at a rate of knots, excitedly bouncing from one side of the hallway to the next like a furry pinball. 'THIS IS AWESOME!' The shapeshifter ran from one person to the next, excitedly greeting them and utterly confusing them in the process. Which was fine until he accidentally alarmed someone who was afraid of dogs and got himself blasted out of the window...

Once he'd bounced to a halt he put a paw to his head and shifted back into his human form. "Ouch...I'm going to feel that in the morning..." He mumbled to himself, getting up and dusting himself down as he looked around 'So worth it though' he thought to himself with a grin. After a moment of looking he caught sight of a familiar woman with pink hair and felt a smile work its way back onto his face, pulling himself back under control Crash calmly walked over to the stand beside her, trying not to focus on the fact she was wearing a lab coat... "Hey Lily" He greeted her, tucking the tips of his fingers into his pockets and throwing her his trade mark smile "Cloud watching?...Or has it just been that sort of morning?" He asked having caught the wistful look on her face...he also hoped the angel would recognise him, otherwise he predicted unbearable awkwardness...

Rain wasn't entirely sure what to make of the Academy, she'd been carefully scouting out the halls for some time now in search of the orientation but had yet to find it. Instead she was leant against one of the academy's smooth walls, haplessly watching the people around her trying to decide whether she should ask any of them for directions. During this time she'd witnessed a man being flattened by a woman with snakes for hair, an attractive blonde shouting out of her door to them in what she deemed a friendly way and a man nervously making his way through the corridors with a tiny girl on his shoulder.

'I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before' She thought to herself, carefully watching the situation unfold from a distance. Although she was fascinated by the entire exchange, she had no intention of becoming a part of it...she did feel a little sorry for the snake haired woman, she looked particularly flustered by the chain of events. 'That guy with the sunglasses looks like he'd steal somebody's lunch money...' She thought looking over the sunglass wearing otaku once more before she pushed away from the wall.

With a flick of her hand she pushed a section of her hair over her shoulder and started walking away from the commotion, glancing left and right as people bustled by. 'How do they look so busy when they're not doing anything?' She wondered to herself. She was so busy stewing over her own thoughts she didn't realise she had wandered into the path of another girl with dark hair and blue eyes.
