Carmen sighed. She was far past the point of raising her voice and was currently in the business of forgetting the whole thing. Of course, if there was anyone she wanted to talk to about the scene she had just made, it would be Lily.

"I hardly blamed everyone," the skylark replied, beginning to walk aimlessly as her mind decided it was too much effort to find Maria and explain everything to her only to have her probably just shrug. "The blame is squarely on Criston's shoulders. Did you see how rude he was? He had the DJ cut off the music that fit the scene so well and that I lovingly compiled for the event without so much as asking...in the middle of a piece. Then he strutted over with the most smug look on his face, like he was happy he cut me off. And then...and then! Did you hear how conceited he was with his little 'explanation'? It was...it was revolting."

The exasperated woman sighed again.

"And as if all of that wasn't bad enough, he replaced the waltzes with the most putrid excuse for music I've heard in a long time," she huffed. "His actions, his demeanor, and the drivel he put on that sound system wasn't just something I had an issue with. It was disrespectful and frankly insulting to not only me, but you, that room, everyone else there, and the Academy as a whole. And, well...I can't not speak up when something like that happens. You know me, Lily...I can't help it. If someone's going to try to desecrate the Academy like that, I'm going to make a scene. It's something I'm good at."

There was a pause, before another outburst suddenly broke it.

"And in front of all of those new students as well! What kind of image is he trying to portray to them?! Of here, of us? I care about you and everyone else and the Academy too much to let that happen."

There was another pause, before the skylark continued in a more relaxed voice.

"Forgive me if I made you uncomfortable...I really am sorry. But I couldn't just stand and let that slide."

At that moment the speakers in the ballroom cut back in even louder than they were before. The strawberry blonde-haired woman stopped, frozen in her tracks, her face wearing an expression that seemed to say "I'm about 3 seconds from snapping and going truly insane."

"Lily, I'm about 3 seconds from snapping and going truly insane. Please help me to not do that," she said strongly yet quietly.

Akira has a fiery temper to match her Fire type. She has spent most of her life in the village and would do anything to prevent harm from coming to it. As soon as she evolved into Ninetales, she dreamed of stardom at the top of the alpha's hill. Having prospected several mates, she was found by Luke and saw a potential alpha, allowing his advances. Soon he became the alpha, and is Akira's proudest accomplishment. She sits loyally by his side on the alpha hill, trusting his decisions but also not afraid to question them if need be. She has a certain degree of authority due to her type advantage over him and she knows it.

Her top mane is orange like the tips of her tails.

Human/Feren: Feren (Chrysocyon brachyurus (Maned Wolf) type) (The maned wolf is its own species, not technically a wolf or a fox. From South America, it can run very swifly with its long legs, and its vocalization is called a "roar-bark". Sylvia has retained the mane, the tall figure (it is the tallest of any canine), the large ears, and (most interestingly), the roar-bark, which she can do at will.)

Appearance: Because of Sylvia's Chrysocyon side, her most prominent feature is her long, slender legs, which are of the type and length usually reserved for generously-proportioned anime girls. Were it not covered in knee-length dresses that extend all the way to the top of her neck (like the one in her picture) nearly always, it would be more obvious that her body was no slouch either - well-proportioned and very (almost too) slender.

Perhaps equally as noticeable as Sylvia's legs is her voluptuous silver hair, which is absurdly long. Were it let down and not in her usual extravagant ponytail, the hair would nearly touch the ground. Her face is soft and inviting, but the pointed chin hints at the sarcastic brain that lies underneath.

Sylvia's audible appearance, when not playing the violin or roar-barking, consists of a complex, velvety smooth contralto voice that rarely gets loud outside of combat.

Sylvia's font is a limited form of gravity manipulation, primarily focused on personal gravity manipulation via floortilting. Sylvia can traverse any surface, no matter the direction, with ease, and is a multiplanal parkour/free-running expert.

Color: Silver

Weapon: Violono Della Guerra. Usually just referred to as "Della Guerra", the weapon's title literally means "violin of war." In combat, the weapon is a sniper rifle and a rapier with a five-foot blade, but out of combat the rifle turns into a beautiful silver violin and the rapier turns into the instrument's bow. The violin does not have a soundbox; instead, it appears much like an elaborate electric violin, with the soundbox being emulated by Resonant embedded in the body. The sniper rifle can fire any type of Resonant ammunition to cause various effects, and although bolt action can be fired very quickly by a skilled user in a non-sniping situation.

Personality: Usually reserved. Dignifyingly lighthearted, without ever sacrificing her mental focus and collectedness. Sarcastic and cynical, but usually not in a negative way. Acts in combat as if she was just having a casual chat - her state of mind doesn't change at all from eating lunch to parrying with a deadly foe, which is both unsettling for others and beneficial to her, as she never becomes tense or loses focus.

Background: Born and raised on the coast of the Tarcan Sea, Sylvia's childhood was filled with struggle...but not bad struggle. Her parents were both frequently gone to fight a war, so she had to learn to cope with Tarcanis' harsh living conditions on her own. But learn she did, and she was soon able to discern exactly how her geneology made her different from her human friends. She knew there were other ferens out there, but she never knew any, and not all humans she encountered were kind to her. However, she was welcomed and accepted in the local area where she lived, and was educated in academics, combat, and music. By the time she was recruited into Echo, she had become a warrior worthy of the Tarcan nation, and one ready to tackle any foe with her violin in hand.
