Episode 2 – Mad World
Some members have gone on missions, big and small, but most have just been simply getting to know each other. It had only been a week since they were officially signed in to become member of the Justice League’s Unlimited Initiative and already people were ready to either tear each other’s heads off or die in battle for some. Being a part of the initiative means that they have to trust and know each other, and that’s exactly what Cynthia planned on doing.
The law of the streets applied to the laws of Metro Tower, get to know and befriend anyone whom you share a space with. The alternative being to cause anarchy and duress, which was not welcome in any group street or otherwise. Few people are as open when it comes to their identity as Cynthia, to her it made sense to befriend the one’s that looked like her, heroes that had little in the way of protecting their identity.
Cynthia had just started making headway with the young Judgement when the Green Lantern came their way. She was just about to ask him too if he ever considered modeling.
"You two, come with me... we have to stop a guy from tearing a city apart with it's own people..."
To say that her conversation was cut short was understatement. The green lantern’s words were a battle cry after all even if there was a hint of annoyance and bitterness in his tone. That’s what Cynthia thought anyway. A part of her wanted to ask the man in green to cheer up, but she was busy with concern, Midway city after all was only a few dozen miles away from her home city of Detroit.

Robotman's HQ in Downtown Midway City
The young hero was no longer Cynthia when her feet made contact with the ground beneath her, and in her stead was Gypsy, entertaining and talkative hero of Detroit. Underneath her smiling face that only her teammates could see was a growing concern for the city. Robotman’s HQ was not a sight of beauty, it was well kept sure but the life it once had was no more.
Gypsy was busy in her thoughts trying to think of the best way to find out where they should go next. It was difficult to identify with a mad man that would do such a thing to a city even if the only indication so far were the faint screams. Only the really depraved and mad would want such a thing to happen. It felt like she was coming up with an idea when the flash of lightning struck her teammate, and in it stood the Captain who is a not captain.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Captain not captain, thank you for joining us” Gypsy said with curtsy and a wink to the Captain who is not a captain.
“I agree with el Capitan. The sun will fall soon, and the moon shall rise, darkness will not be a kind friend.” Gypsy often wondered if her artifacts made her speak with such flair, or if it’s simply just her natural personality coming through. ”We should best head outside with care and concern, I have a feeling that our presence has garnered unwanted attention.”
Gypsy’s fair year of use of her powers has led her to understand that when her feelings tell her something it often yields good graces to properly listen. As it stands right now, all that she could feel that right outside the fallen mechanical hero’s HQ was danger. Stay or move,
danger will be outside.
