Current Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama. A huge part of so many childhoods. His legacy lives on stronger than ever.

"I haven't been completely honest with you. I didn't think I needed to tell you, but..." He paused, unsure of how to proceed. He decided it was best to just tell Jake everything.
"Alyssa knows me. She knows me because I used to be a part of the Blood Army. She was a captive of my platoon. I thought I had left it behind, thought I was out. They left me with this," he turned his head and pointed at the scars on his face, "my punishment for desertion."
Quinn turned his head back, unable to look at Jake.
"I've done...I've done terrible things. No matter how many of those bastards I kill, it doesn't go away."
Quinn's one good eye suddenly darted briefly to Jake as he came back inside. The tense moment between Quinn and Alyssa had completely shut off the world around him, to the point where it was like he had been inside a fathomless black void. One comprised of rage, regret and bitter, bitter guilt.
The sight of Jake was like a punch to the gut. Quinn felt limp, numbness overcoming him.
A torrential flood of thoughts and emotions assaulted him in the span of only a few seconds, causing his head to start pounding. He briefly considered attempting to apologize, but he knew he was far beyond that. Far beyond any sort of restitution, or redemption.

His shoulders slumped, and at length he let out a small sound.
"Fine then," barely more than a whisper.
It was just another storm for him to face alone. His fate, his sentence, his fault.
Quinn gathered his things and turned to leave, pausing a moment by Jake's side, but not looking at him at all.
"See you round, officer. Sorry it had to end this way. Promise me, when the day comes that I'm staring down your barrel...don't hesitate."
@Always Would you like to address this situation? I could post something, but I feel like it'd be better coming from Alyssa.

How these folks aren't the biggest thing in the world is totally beyond me. They're amazing on every level.
@vancexentan

Oh god DB: Evolution!

I cringed so hard during that movie. What were they thinking? Who signed off on that script?
I feel sorry for James Marsters though. Apparently he and his son sat down and watched all of Dragonball, Z and GT in order to get to know the source material and prepare for the role. Then he had to star in that cinematic turd.

Honestly, the unofficial Taiwanese adaptation from the late 80's was more faithful to the original story.
I'm holding off on posting, because I don't think there's anything more I can write before the others walk in and see what's happening.

Still going strong with these motherfuckers
I sure hope they do. I want to see how a fine, morally upstanding guy like Jake would react.
Celty's going to wish she'd stayed up in the tree haha
Quinn didn't resist and let himself impact the wall with a dull thud that sent an aching pain shooting through between his shoulder blades. He felt the cold metal of Alyssa's knife pressed against his jugular. She was perfectly justified, and she had every right to slit his throat right then and there. But Quinn was a survivor, and in situations like this instinct, cold and thoughtless took over.

"Once one, always one."

"Tell them then," Quinn snarled, "Tell them what I am. I've killed, I've tortured, I've raped. I don't remember your face because it's just one out of a thousand."
He grasped at her wrist that held the blade, but he did not move it, "You're goddamn right I deserve to die. But I'm not dying until I'm the last one left."
