Current Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama. A huge part of so many childhoods. His legacy lives on stronger than ever.

He is certainly unpredictable, to say the least. That whole situation just opened a hole in my stomach that my heart got sucked into.
Without spoiling it for anyone else that may be reading or want to read it, but Gavin has just done a very, very bad thing. Things have gotten pretty bonkers very quickly.

Brent does a great job of making you feel like you're in the world he's built! Andross Guile is my favorite character to hate but I love it when he does his shit!

He's such a prick, but good lord does he keep things interesting!
Last 5 chapters of Brent Weeks' "The Blinding Knife", as well as The Bourbon Kings #1 by JR Ward and Looking For Alaska by John Green

What a coincidence. I'm about halfway through The Blinding Knife myself. Absolutely engrossed in it too, which is pleasing because I've been finding it hard to get into books lately.
The PS5 only having about 100 PS4 games backwards compatible instead of the whole library might make me get a Series X instead. It'll come down to price for me, but Games Pass makes a good case while PS5 is mostly for potential future first party things.

I felt similarly to you upon the first reveal, but a friend sent me this article that clarifies it a bit further.

I probably still won't be rushing out to trade in my PS4, but it definitely sounds better than it did initially.

Just discovered this French Power Trio this morning. Suffice to say, fresh af.
Big ups to 343 dropping Combat Evolved the way they did. I wish more game companies took a similar approach to marketing. I'm getting real tired of seeing a cool looking game and then waiting three years (minimum) for it.

Strange little band from 1970's Germany. They didn't keep a consistent sound between albums which probably contributed immensely to their obscurity, but damn they were good.
Their first album (self-titled) is a must listen for anybody who has even a passing interest in Proto-Metal. It was like Deep Purple and Sabbath had a loud, heavy, wailing baby.
I am finding it supremely difficult to even try to care about anything other than Doom Eternal. So hyped for it, especially that classic Cyberdemon design.
I didn't mind the redesign for 2016, but that original Cyberdemon is something else. All taut muscle, exposed guts and twisting metal...it's just beautiful. I still play through the original games quite regularly and even though I adored 2016, those original titles can't be beat.
We'll see how they stack up after Eternal!
I just want to be healthier and more consistent. I've been sleeping poorly for most of this year and it's affected my health significantly, but I've just about got that issue licked.
I want to go into the next decade well rested and healthy. I want to get to the gym more consistently and actually achieve some body goals. Most of all I want to maintain my commitment to personal growth and keep on being someone that I like.

Shit, maybe I'll look for a new job too.
