@hyperbunny you're ok. My school starts next week too. And my work schedule is only every other weekend, but still not going to have quite as much time.
Checking his watch and meeting up in the kitchen he saw Roberto waiting. "We're going to be we are going to make a brief trip into the city."

Maybe he should have left without them. No. They were specific with their instructions: 'The bastard child is not to be left in the cottage without a staff member'. Apparently he had a tendency for property destruction. Hopefully they were going to hire new support staff soon.

Pressing the buzzer again he yelled. "5 minutes!"
When Dmitri came back after stopping by what Addie assumed was Anya's place, she replied to his question looking at him dead in the eye not trying to intimidate him but help him realize just how serious she was. "I'm not scared of you. I'm not scared of her" She gestured towards the door Anya had walked through. "I'm trying to comprehend what happened, and maybe I'm scared of what happened. Maybe I'm scared of the world. I'm not scared of you though."

She paused for a moment. "So it shouldn't surprise you that I invited you for dinner." She finally dropped from his gaze, then turned her attention to her camera. She wound the film up and popped out the reel.

"Plus, I have somethings to take care of, myself" She said holding up the roll of film.

Alex paced the perimeter of the office, thinking over what to do. He glanced at the letter he had found earlier. Then back at the pile of backgrounds they had sent him on the new recruits. He tossed both of them in the trash. If I have to forget the past, I won't judge theirs.

He then strolled out of the office and locked the door behind him. The microwave clock in the kitchen read 5:24 pm. Better start working on dinner. He took a look in the fridge to find it empty. He didn't even think about it. When he lived here, Ms. Moore had it stocked at all times. Shit. We're on a fucking island, so it's not like I can call for pizza.

He presses a button on the nearest intercom that blasts his voice moderately throughout the building. "Change of plans for dinner, all of you get down here by 6pm"
@Tracyarmav Sounds like me, but then I got a job. And school starts in a week and a half.
@Ally610 Generally speaking, if the edits don't change how your character functions/interacts with the world, you're free to edit as you please, just let the GM know you changed something so they don't make a plot hook involving one of the edited details. Obviously, what exactly is considered a functional/interaction changing edit varies a little from RP to RP and/or GM to GM.

@Ally610 Again he beats me to the punch. Yeah, just let me know, I'll pretty much be OK with anything unless its out of genre.

Addie nodded to the ... vampire ... shakily. Was all of this actually happening. She felt that dizziness come back and a tear stream down her cheek. She clutched down to the camera around her neck. Normally when weird things happen. Strange sights... she is so reflexive with it. Now, she just held the thing as if her life depended on it. At this point her life was on the line, but a camera sure wasn't going to save her. And she didn't know if her new companions would either.

She was lost in thought for a bit before realizing that Dmitri had spoken to her. "Uh, just two blocks down from the restaurant you met me at. On seventh. I have food there. I'm not sure if I can handle being in public, if that's alright." Typically you would think public would be safer in the case of murderous strangers. But not when the witnesses would think you were insane anyways. Still, she was wary about having them inside. I guess there is no turning back now.
Oh yeah there will be other Granted's popping up. I have a few other characters lined up for that. But that probably won't come up til later. Also, I'm thinking you guys can have some fun with the city trips too. "lost shallows" could also be fun, because every so often they miss the last ferry and have to stay over night on the island.
OK Im back. Just curious, if you guys have any ideas of plot points or where you want the story to go feel free to voice them here. I'm just kinda winging this one.
Alex looked at the flustered redhead who just bounced in the room. He recognized her, she was a newbie the year he was assigned his apprenticeship. Wow she sure grew up. She left shortly after, tried to go back to her parents. Shallow-borns never learn do they. Once your involved with the Granted, you never leave. No matter who you are, or where you are from.

"Hey, have a seat we were just having our first meeting." He turned back to the group after gesturing for her to take a seat.

"You're two biggest responsibilities are training and shallow service. Shallow service is when you all get to go out and pretend to be happy go lucky Jr. Park Rangers so we can fund this place and keep it on the island. There are two shallow service shifts per day. Normally when you aren't with the shallows or training you're training. Training schedule will start on Monday. This will be the only weekend you are not permitted to leave the island. After that if you aren't scheduled for shallow service, go ahead and leave. Dinner will be ready at 7:00. And for the love of god be nice to the entertainment system, I will be in my office if anyone needs me"

He stood up left abruptly and went back into the office and slammed the door. What had he turned into. A military man. He used to be so much like Bob. Cynical, thinking you could screw over the Granted. If he couldn't no one can, the best he could do is make these kids believe that.
