Physical Description:
Koth is stout standing at about 4'4" and stocky with broad shoulders, as well as weighs 200lbs. The muscles of his upper body are well toned compared to his rather short legs that aren't as well sculpted. His skin is ruddy and he has perpetually rosy cheeks beneath his brown eyes, he wears his auburn hair long and braided like his impressive beard is. Koth wears plain clothing but often wears his clothes rolled up because working in forges all day is at times very hot.
Equipment:
Besides his craftsman attire and casual clothing Kothrias often carries his treasured dwarfish war-axe that has the symbol of a boar etched into the axehead as it symbolizes his tribes crest which is the mighty boar. Wears a tool belt with smiths tools stored safely in each pouch, sports a fine steel chest piece of breastplate of dwarfish make with shoulder pauldrons. Koth also wields a small steel shield and wears leather shin guards on his legs.
Magic:
- Spiritual Magic:
Channelling the power of a lesser god; one whose domain revolves around fire and craftsmanship. Granted the ability to create fire at a small scale and manipulate it's shape and intensity to a minor extent. Kothrias pays homage to his god by burning a portion of his meals in offering, and prayer in the presence of open flames. Another way of offering is through craftsmanship, and Kothrias often forges items in honor to his god. Places where craftsman work and forges are where his prayers are given as the gods connection is strongest in such places.
History:
Off to east of Arskel about three miles away there exists a stronghold built in the mountain ranges of King's Pass, within which the Clan Hemlenfell has resided since their ancestors first laid down the stonework. The fortress was created nearly two thousand years ago.
Although the dwarves of King's Pass are fiercely protective of their mountain home they also have seen the benefit of brokering trade with the City-states nearby as well. In recent times many dwarfish artisans have established their businesses in foreign cities. In time the quality of their arms and armor are in high demand amongst the surrounding city-states and independent townships. It took almost an eon for them to accept incorporating newer adaptations to their craft in order to keep up with the advanced technology, as they are a traditionalistic people.
Kothrias grew up as the son of their clan's honored master smith, and as such the young dwarf spent much of his childhood around craftsman and was no stranger to the roar of a forge or the clang of hammer on anvil. He wanted to be like his father but he dreamed of being the best blacksmith in all of Olanthus someday. His dreams only grew when he was working in the forges late into the night when after a short prayer to the gods he was met by a man with a beard of fire and red glowing skin, the man called himself Ingus and claimed to be the god of fire and craftsman. Ingus told the dwarf that he had watched Kothrias for quite a time, the dwarf's prayers answered with little boons unnoticable to Kothrias. Ingus told Koth that he would grant him power for his service to the craft and blessed Koth before disappearing.
Kothrias decided to set out north to Arskel as of last week, deciding it was time to go seek his dream out in the wider world as an adventurer to learn about the world outside the walls of Hemlenfell fortress so that he can expand his knowledge of metalwork and the craftsmanship of other races. He heard of the Guild and it's cause as an adventurers guild, so Kothrias saw this as an opportunity to broaden his horizons and immediately seeked out membership within the Guild.
