Current I am bad, and that is good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There is no-one I'd rather be, but me.

Hey all.

Sorry to say this as I know it's inconvenient and perhaps disheartening for all of you but I have decided to, at least temporarily, drop online roleplay. I just find too much of my time (posting or otherwise) is spent on roleplay when I really need to focus on getting my real life in order. Some of you may know I am unemployed at the moment but in truth it is more than just the job that needs fixing. I'm at a metaphorical crossroads and I need to decide on a direction to take in life and drive for it, no distractions.

Once again I'm sorry. I'm grateful to all of you and deeply apologetic for the inconvenience my leaving might cause. I must've been with the guild almost a year (perhaps longer) now and I've gotta say, I'll miss it.

Thank you all. For everything.

Hailfire.

P.S. Do with my characters as you wish. Fade them into the background, play them, kill them dramatically for the good of the roleplay. Whatever you need to do, I trust you to determine what is best. I did love my characters...

A question on operations and combat scenarios: How will characters being wounded and possibly killed be handled? Will it be up to us to decide if our characters take a bullet or will you decide based on the situation? For example, if a sniper suddenly began firing on the team, would you say X character gets hit? Probably a stupid question, just thought I should get this clarified.

I don't think thats a bad question at all.

Sorry for the delay in posting. When I get into a good book I've been known to read for 9 hours straight and, well, thats what happened only with a series.
I also have a headache but it should pass soon (some nasty dehydration I think.). I hope yours gets better soon.

I've failed to post more on account of general business unfortunately. Haven't posted IC in any roleplay for a couple of days.
Hmmm... Are we talking allergies/conditions and the like? I hadn't considered that as of yet but will think on it. It would have to be a condition that wouldn't impede combat ability or anything that could compromise a mission.
Lol. Ninja'd you mr pie. From the basingstoke library no less!

Anyways. Got a post done along with a pic I found of the bus station (it's only a little late :( ).

Anna plonked her ass down on one of the seats in the wheelchair zone figuring they were unlikely to be taking elderly people or mothers on this route anytime soon and zoned out, turning up the music she was listening to and letting her head rest on the cold, poor quality plexiglass of the window. Her music player was set to shuffle and when one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzQlpOW0kj4&sns=em song finished and she heard the first few chords of the next song, Things we lost in the fire by Bastille, she almost skipped straight away as te somewhat dated Bastille was not her usual cup of tea. Instead out of pure laziness she let the song play and found herself absorbed in the sad irony of the song. Although the world certainly hadn't lost everything to fire there had definitely been loss and the results lay in the world around them like corpses. As the second chorus was set in motion Anna felt a sudden urge to sing. Obviously she was unable to do that, the harsh treatment of her past had taken that capability when it stole her voice from her, and so she did what she was prone to do when such an urge. She played music.

Anna's guitar, or one of them, was in the bulky guitar case hanging over her badge adorned rucksack. She had only the guitar with her as an excuse to carry the deep hardcase which she had used alongside a false bottom to conceal her sniper rifle without the need for a total disassembly. Now she was glad for taking it and, when the song ended she removed her earpieces and took the electro-acoustic guitar from its case. After a minutes checking on the tuning she began to play. Without her voice if there was an audible way Anna could communicate her feelings it was music. Anna played her instruments with a passion and focus so intense it would often take physical contact even from her partner to draw her attention away from the music.

(Non-acoustic version of the song)
Love the character Skythikon. A clear and unique specialisation in AT/bunkerbusting is nice too. I find it much easier to play a character when I know what role it performs within the group and it doesn't overlap excessively with other characters.

HellHoundWoof (awesome name btw) your character's background is much improved! Not sure where I stand on the equipment. I love the aug as a gun to the point I have had an airsoft version (which unfortunately I lost. Managed to get an F2000 in it's place though so it's not all bad) but it doesn't seem to be listed as a weapon the CTRG would commonly use (theres a list in the OP). That being said there is an up to date version of the SA80 so I guess the same could be true for the aug, ultimately the final say so lies with the "king" I guess. One thing I would say is you seem to have specialised in sniping which I think Kingkonrad was trying to avoid having within the group, he specified marksman instead of sniper and we already have a marksman. It may be worth changing specialisation (sorry!). I really sympathise with all the difficulty you've had finding a compatible character. You should have seen the first CS I sent konrad.
Lol. A very valid point there Azariel although I think it was a different variety of front line being referred to. If we expand the definition of front line to include IRAesque activities then practically the whole world is a battlefield. That is definitely true in this setting. Corporate black ops working in the shadows, hackers hiding in the code and activists shouting in the streets. A highly combustive mix to be sure and bound to blow up soon if it hasn't already!

!!!BOOOOM!!!

In other news I am going to do a post for anna whilst the idea is fresh on my mind. It's not something that'll move plot forwards as such but I feel it would fit her character and I guess character building can be considered a plot. :)
