Background Information
A former engineer supposedly from the Thedes Empire, Bolt has been unwilling to divulge much information. His knowledge of the Empire matches those of the citizens, so it's likely that much is true. As for specifics, Bolt has claimed amnesia has robbed him of such memories. Nonetheless, it is strange for such a talented engineer to possess high piloting skills, albeit the strangeness comes from his inability to explain how his talents came to be; instead of explaining his thought process or labeling parts of mechs, he instead "just knows." Nevertheless he did come to Vox Fortuna under duress and claimed sanctuary, the believability added on when he was caught stealing some tools.
Exoframe
Designation
Istunus
Weight Class
Light
Description
A stolen exoframe modified to be 'cooler' according to Bolt, the Istunus is a former Empire mech heavily altered from its original form. Its design favors mobility above all, likely because it was based on a scouting model.
Equipment and Armament
- Weaponry: The Claw
The most modified external part of the Istunus and likely its most powerful asset, the Claw is what makes the mech a battle unit. It has the ability to extend and grab at will, its grip enough to crush weaker joints. Supposedly, it has the ability to emit a powerful wave of energy, though that ability is currently defunct as it requires a certain kind of fuel that isn't hard to find, but is very expensive. Even so, the Claw is still impressive and is Bolt's point of pride. - Shield: The Istunus has a generic shield. If the output is maxxed out, the shield covers the entire body. However, to preserve fuel, its shields often protect smaller places.
- Armor Strength: Considering its strength is in its mobility, it can take a hit or two just fine, though it isn't in the best shape considering most of the repairs have been done with "shoestring and bubblegum" (according to Bolt).
