Name: Jera Odinsdotter

Gender: Female

Godly Parents: Odin and Minerva.

Sphere of Control: Knowledge, Wisdom, Battle, Frenzy, Strategy and Magic.

Personality: Somewhat calm and collected, but quick to anger and ferocious (if not outright terrifying) in battle.

Sacred Animals: The Raven and the Owl.

Powers:

- Battle mastery. Possesses the knowledge to masterfully wield any weapon, even the weapon that is the human body through the use of various martial arts.

- Strength, speed and stamina/endurance that exceeds even godly standards.

- Exceptional learning and memory abilities.

- Strategically analytical mind that analyses any battle situation and searches to for the best possible outcome through openings or weaknesses.

- Eye of Odin, Eye of Medusa. Inherited Odin's ability to see vast distances. Similarly, much like Minerva's shield, Jera can use her eyes to petrify or momentarily paralyze her opponents. Her gaze can also induce crippling migraines.

- Berserker frenzy. In battle, in moments of madness or after sustaining considerable damage, Jera can fly into a rage of bloodlust, seeking any and all weakness and opening to tear apart friend and foe alike. Pain and fatigue cease to register and she will fight to her last drop of godly blood is spilled. This will continue until she is calmed or regains control of herself.

- Magic user. Having resided in the minds of Odin and Minerva, Jera has more than an education in what they know, she was actually a part of every thought and memory. As a result their knowledge is her knowledge, magic included.

Weapon(s): Whatever weapon she can find, but prefers to use her fists and feet.

History:
After a night of drunken revelry between Odin and Minerva, Odin found himself with a headache that would could not be cured. Unbeknownst to the all-father, he was pregnant with the child of the godly union who was in the process of educating herself based on all the knowledge the norse god possessed, practicing combat within the confines of his mind which was causing the severe headaches.
Upon realizing what was happening, Odin struck a deal with Minerva and, using their combined knowledge and magic, transferred the infant Jera into the mind of Minerva, where she spent the second half of her development, similarly absorbing the knowledge Minerva possessed before the two god met once more to "birth" the child, who emerged almost fully grown.

Initially, Jera was raised and schooled by Minerva, but as her formative development had been in the mind of Odin, she had little patience and a lust for battle. While she was a terrifically gifted student, it was not long before she was sent to study under her father. Raised and schooled by the fallen warriors of Valhalla, the norse gods themselves and the valkyries, Jera continued until the routine began to bore her. There was no risk to the battles of Valhalla if all wounds were healed the next day.
Looking down on Midgard, the land of mnn, she saw wars, battles and conflict that shaped history, cultures, societies and ultimately, the world. Because of this, she descended into the world of man in search for excitement and battle.
@Cuccoruler Ah, okay. So no Son/Daughter of God Messiah figures? Also, are the dead gods gone or imprisoned in the underworld/afterlife?

@PerseusArchean I could see Jera aiding gods as a resistance fighter :P
@Trevor1001 I'm debating making a second char who's the child of the christian god and another deity. More of an observer/manipulator. But I made Jera before all the other War deities, so I win :P
@PerseusArchean Sorry, it was late and my explanations devolved as I became more and more tired. It's not that Jera wants to end the world, it's that she wants to overcome the end of the world. In her eyes, anyone can defeat a mortal or a god, but the greatest for would be fate/destiny. She thought Ragnarok was assured and that she'd be able to fight in and stop the Norse end of times.

Until Cythlla killed Fenrir, a key figure in Ragnarok.

Now, with the wisdom of Minerva, she had to reassess her goals. As a result her definition of "End of the World" became closer to "End of an Era." If the original god were defeated by the Merged, that would be the end of their world and, as mythological history has shown time and again, gods are always defeated by their children in one way or another, as was shown with the Titans.
As a result, Jera sees the gods as inevitably losing with their "world" ending. She doesn't want to fight the "easy" battle by joining with the Merged, she'd rather the challenge of fighting alongside the doomed Pantheons.
@twannyman I could see time powers getting a little OP. What's to stop your char from just traveling back in time and preventing any of us from being born? Or any of the gods from existing?
@Cuccoruler Another question. When you say this is set in modern times, do you mean the world we live in now? A world with Reddit, Netflix, the avengers movies, where Lemmy just died, all that?
@PerseusArchean Thinking about her personality and upbringing I'd have to say she doesn't want to kill him. Unless he kills Odin. He isn't into conflict and she relishes the excitement of battle so in her mind he wouldn't be worth the time. She'd also be partial to Norse sensibilities and think him a little cowardly for preferring to attack from afar with magic and curses instead of facing his foe.

As for the side Jera is in in the war, she'd view it all as a childish tantrum like something Loki would throw. If it was a battle with real risk involved, she'd join in, but with Fenrir dead Ragnarok is off the table and she'd likely feel robbed that this is all she gets. She'd probably stand with the Norse pantheon honestly. Her time spent in the mind of Minerva has shown her what happens when gods and their children get paranoid about who will kill who, since that was literally what led to Minerva's birth and attempted murder while she was still in the womb.

Jera wants world-sundering battle, meteors plummeting from the skies, seas red with blood as tidal waves tear apart the coast as Jormungund thrashes and Fenrir, with his jaws so wide, devours heaven and earth. She wants to defeat armageddon. And if the Merged are trying to wipe out the gods that sired them, it's as close to armageddon as she's going to get.
@PerseusArchean It's all a bit of a mess when you think about it, because Jera would have access to her father and mothers knowledge of magic and be able to possibly counteract a curse or even try to curse Ox in retaliation! It would be like a Cold War/Mutually assured destruction thing.
And then considering Ox is a skilled necromancer, Jera would probably take issue with Ox killing his mother, since his necromancy means he could probably bring her back from death/the underworld but simply chooses not to. I could see some barbs being exchanged wirth both being forced to endure the other merely because neither has a sure fire way of taking out the other while ensuring their own safety.

And if anyone took out Odin, Jera would likely be pissed since she pretty much feels there are few even worthy enough to challenge him. If they actually killed him, Jera would consider it an insult to her bloodline. I picture Jera getting along with the Norse pantheon. When you think about it, the only child of Odin that really plotted against him was Loki. Thor, Baldr, Vidar and VĂ¡li had no problems with him, so I don't see Jera taking much of a disliking to him, or even Odin seeing her as a threat.
@PerseusArchean Posted that at the same time as me! :P But that sounds good!
@Cuccoruler I don't know what your thoughts are on the idea, but how would you feel about a Yankee Pantheon like the one in Scion, (Betsy Ross, Br'er Rabbit, Columbia, John Henry, Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, Rosie the Riveter and Uncle Sam.) kind of like Neil Gaiman's 'American Gods'?

Also, is the christian god allowed?

@PerseusArchean Right away, I predict sibling rivalry.
