I like rats, jalapeño poppers, y2k aesthetics and idol games. I am pretty extroverted on the internet due to how easy it is to connect with people with similar interests. My personality may come across as aggressively friendly or over the top at times and I apologize in advance for that, whoops.

As for my strange signatures and profile pictures, a lot of them are a part of a specific aesthetic I´ve developed over the years that's basically 2000s aesthetics with a focus on the technology that explore themes of loss, abandonment, filth, and hopelessness, rather than the optimistic and mainstream view of the future that was common during that period of time.

Good idea @Pezz570
A little longer than usual, but in my defense a lot happened lol

Lynx stared daggers into the familiar that was poking him. A fairy. He had seen plenty of them at social gatherings, used as entertainment. He´d usually growl at the more extroverted ones until they returned to telling bad jokes and prancing around the humans. This one had its share of fun and whizzed by before he could muster the energy for an intimidation attempt.

In the distance a bar fight broke out, causing the familiar to let out a sigh of resignation. He knew the procedures when it came to combat. Hide and let Octavio take care of everything. It exasperated him to see violence in front of him and have no way to help out his partner, but he knew just how valuable his appearance was. And besides, what would he even do? Growl at them and wag his tail around menacingly? Not a whole lot of options for someone who was basically an extra-large housecat.

Octavio had finished most of his peasant meal prior to the bar´s patrons deciding to beat the spirits out of each other and was satisfied by the recent turn of events. He felt as if the barkeeper had upcharged him because of his appearance, and had spent the larger part of his time at the inn haggling passionately with the man. And now, a fight! The man began laughing in satisfaction at the drama unfolding in front of him. A man who clearly wanted to die! A member of the royal guard! Another familiar! Octavio made a mental note to keep track of the royal guard. A corpse like that would make for a bountiful looting, after all.

The guard was no stranger to combat, much to Octavio´s disappointment, and he clearly wasn´t going to drop dead anytime soon. In fact, nobody was. The fight had fizzled out, with many of the participants opting to start a conversation with each other. Octavio frowned an made no effort to hide it.

Lynx emerged from his hiding spot. The casual and annoyed way that he walked towards his owner was inappropriate to the situation. It was the walk of someone who had their game of hide and seek interrupted, not the walk of someone who had escaped a bar fight, a result from being in similar situations one too many times. The cat´s gaze lingered on the witch hunter and the cool, collected way he ate. He wondered what it would be like to have someone like him as an owner. That is, until the man angrily rose from his seat to scold the fairy. To be fair, that fairy is annoying. He thought. He began to groom himself in silence. Him and Octavio sat quietly, eavesdropping on the group that was forming. They needed information.

A lot has happened since my character waddled in D:

EIEN YUMEMI ❤

Feeling Glum...
8:00 - 8:30

Yumemi took a deep breath and passed through the school gates. The combination of new clothes and cool morning weather left her with a refreshed and perky feeling. There would come a time when the bright fluorescent lights of the school and the stiffness of her uniform would soften and be a part of her life that she'd take for granted, but today definitely wasn't that day.

None of the nearby students caught her attention much save for a couple of them. Some she had recognized from her previous years of high school. None of them were friends, but rather an assortment of faces that she had seen dozens of times existing in the background of her school life. One of them in particular, a girl that had been chatting near the school's entrance, had managed to catch her eye a bit. She had seen that girl around the school occasionally, and it was confusing to see her not wearing a uniform and not entering the building. She didn't think about it too hard and carried on.

Yumemi walked around the school in the same eerily quiet way she had a bad habit of always doing and found her classroom in no time.

A small pang of sadness struck her heart. This was her third and final year at Kokyo high. The previous two felt so unfairly short to her. Two whole years and I still don't know what I want to do. she thought. Yumemi sat on her desk and sighed as she waited for class to begin.
HES GOTTA TAKE A GRASS TYPE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WELL BEING OF A TERRITORY AND GIVE IT THE MEGA SUCC

"As I was saying Lynx, the inn at the center of this place? perfect." Octavio´s stolen lynx familiar plodded along the town road, right behind his eccentric travelling companion. He was used to this man´s recklessness, and did nothing more than lend a pair of fuzzy ears to his schemes. Some might claim that it´s impossible for a big cat to imitate human facial expressions, and yet Lynx carried the same calm and brooding face everywhere. Or, as Octavio liked to put it, his face was the exact face of one who had just heard a bad joke.

There was a nearby inn that in no way, shape, or form resembled the one Octavio was after, yet he stopped to gaze at it anyway. He read the sign and a warm grin crept throughout his face.

THE DOCKSIDE VIEW

"It´s cute and smelly, like a dirty puppy." said Octavio with satisfaction. He turned to the familiar that was now seated beside him. "I bet you were like that as a kitten too!" he said excitedly, now reaching over to scratch the annoyed cat behind its ears. Lynx was practically immune to his teasing and was willing to put up with it if it meant the occasional pampering. His opinion on humans was generally negative, but the cat felt that hands justified their existence somewhat.

If bringing along a beautiful familiar to a place full of commoners seemed like a bad idea, that´s because it was. Octavio´s plan to find this famed and beautiful inn located at the center of Shimmer Town had been going failing pretty consistently. He had a decent amount of money with him, although most of it was reserved towards using it to blend in socialite parties. The thought of having his deception funds whittle away from being spent at dirty bars sent shivers down his spine. And yet, he was very, very hungry.

Octavio entered the bar with an overstated elegance. He reassured himself that Lynx would communicate if someone tried anything stupid. The man progressed without looking back. Although neither would ever openly admit it, they were two rejects who appreciated each other and had no else for company. Lynx carefully weaved through the bar patrons and painstakingly put effort into standing out enough to avoid being stepped on but not enough to call attention to himself. It was a careful balance. His owner, on the other hand, had very loudly asked for the bar´s most affordable meal.

He had heard from a few sources over the other inn´s whereabouts, but had somehow not fully grasped the idea of it being controlled by a cult. His thoughts only repeated the word "money" over and over again, occasionally growing so strong that Lynx received them. Lynx hated telepathic communication. Octavio stared at his food greedily and rubbed his hands together. Both of them wondered about how much it would cost to pay the lute player to shut up.

Violent Sea Creature Assault Leaves Local Ship Crash Survivor Dead

"I'll... I'll check out our surroundings. Before we repair any damage, we're going to have to collect materials to make the tools." Even though the way the girl´s eyes settled on the diving equipment clued Nikolai on what she was going to say, he still felt anxious when she confirmed their course of action. He stared at another set of gear and sighed quietly in resignation. Anything related to water outside of hot baths implied great discomfort, either through salt and seaweed or chlorine and body fluids. The fact that being underwater was going to be a constant activity in his new life as a disaster survivor made him get over his petty discomfort, and so Nikolai walked over to the girl’s side saying nothing other than a calm “Sure”.

Helping his crew member get into her diving gear was a little tougher than he expected. His mind jumped from excuse to excuse as to why he struggled but the task ultimately ended up taking nothing more than common sense. Now it was his turn. The girl explicitly mentioned staying in contact via radio while both of them searched, so she obviously meant that he would join in on exploration.

A quick look at the crackling devices that decorated their humble pod reassured him that staying in the pod was just as risky as swimming outside of it. Probably. Maybe. He confirmed that his crew member was suited up and ready to dive before trying to equip his own gear, which looked alright for something that survived a crash landing. Or at least it would have if it was worn properly. Stumbling around with it placed incorrectly, he quickly realized why the girl had asked for assistance.

Nikolai swallowed the last bits of his pride and spoke in a quieter tone of voice. “I´d like some help as well, uh…” The realization that neither knew each other´s names put the sentence on a pregnant pause.

“Well…” said Hugo, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. His enormous fingers were skittering across the fabricator´s digital display faster than anyone with hands his size had any right to be. The simple smile that had been on his face had disappeared and had been replaced by a frown. His dark eyes met Amari´s. “I wanted to repair this escape pod, but I do not have the tools to do it,” he said, with his hands still testing out as much of the machine as possible. “There is the option to make a repair tool for general use, but I do not have the materials.”

Hugo slouched to get a better view of the fabricator´s screen and began to point and read aloud. “It says… silicone rubber… cave sulfur… and titanium!” He named the three materials with heavy emphasis and determination, with his accent applying enthusiasm to the wrong vowels.

The next few seconds consisted of Hugo turning his head around to scout the pod. He was used to having an assortment of tools with either ridiculously niche or overly general uses at his disposal, so his mood dampened a bit from the frustration of being unable to help.

Having exhausted this option, he resumed sifting through the menus before coming to an abrupt halt. A frown once again began to form on his usually smiling face. "This fabricator is not in a good condition. A lot of the blueprints are missing." He stared at the screen rather than at his crew member, a strange action for somebody so polite, and a reminder of the gravity of the situation that they now found themselves in.

Hugo knew that the PDA he was clutching had rebooted itself in emergency mode complete with plenty of information on survival. He didn´t care for reading all of it, having been a hands on person for his entire life. Right now, his plan was to start searching their pod for anything that could help. As a former maintenance worker he had a pretty good idea as to what materials the emergency pod had, but he wanted to scour through it regardless. "We should search and see what we can work with first." declared Hugo. He was very clearly thinking hard over everything that had happened so far, and yet he spoke without a trace of negativity.
