Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)
It was Christmas, and it was tradition that there would be a feast provided for the guest heroes. The Reception Hall was decorated with silver candelabras, dangling crystal chandeliers, and a silver-stitched snowflake tablecloth. Lemming waiters wearing black suits and bow ties walked back and forth, carrying platters with—you guessed it! Silver lids. Hot marinated meats, warm fluffy buttered rolls, sauces, dressings, and mash awaited the starving heroes, a courtesy before they risked their lives on the real reason why they were summoned.
Vault Boy was dressed for the occasion wearing a not as ugly as most Christmas sweater with green and red stripes and gold stars all over it. He sat at the head of the table, the fluff-balled tail of his Santa hat flopping into his face before he swatted it aside. He had a tablet in his hands and he was sliding glowing circles and squares in random directions which activated a large holographic panel to appear behind him. He eased his head back to make sure the screen was at least working.
A satisfied smile curled at his lips before he set the tablet upon the table and stood in his chair—since he was so short. With his fists resting on his hips, he waited for the heroes to gather and would greet them as they arrived with his arms exuberantly spread:
“Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Welcome! Please, make yourselves comfortable and don’t be afraid to dig in (cause this might be your last supper), ha, ha, ha!”
Vault Boy hadn’t been a council member the veteran heroes were used to working with. In fact, they had never worked with him at all so for the new bloods, his presence was a treat.
“I assure you that none of the food is radioactive. I checked it myself!”
Why would he suspect the food to be radioactive? Old habit. He waved his arm that had his Pip-Boy attached to it about. “We have a few things to discuss before you all are on your way so please quickly find a seat. We’ll start in five minutes.”
Vault Boy then smirked. “I want to give you guys a chance to get some food in your mouths.”
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Also! This OP is basically the OOC for the game. So if you want to go ahead and work on CSes, you can because when I post the game (for when we get a decent amount of people (8 preferable)), I will copy-paste this over, drop the IC introduction, and all you guys should have to do is toss the pre-approved CSes into the character thread. I will say that this is the most basic OP I have ever done. But there wasn't much to really say since I don't want to restrict the writers with any ideas they may have.
@SgtEasyLore takes as long as you make it. If you are planning lore for your story, it's complete when you think it is. As the RP plays out, you may acquire more ideas to add to the lore of the game, so don't think it ever has to be all said and done during development.
@Rhynn91 Could I call dibs on the ice dragon if that hasn't been taken? Hopefully this game actually gets off the ground. Many have died in their interest check eggs.
If you guys have any questions, let me know. I want to reveal that besides the conflict between the two groups, there is an overarching villain who will be gradually revealed later in the story.
This game was inspired by Re: Creators, however, it won’t go exactly like the anime. Expect this to be an anime-style game and expect to have to create a good back story for your character and his/her creator. Understand that you do not have to have watched the anime Re: Creators in order to be in this game. This game is going to rely on the interactions between the different groups and the story and motivations you have created for your character. As the GM, I just guide the story. While this game will mostly be sandbox, I will push the story along whenever there is a need.
You role play a character, who in the fictional world that this game takes place in, is from a popular manga, anime, or video game. Your character is randomly warped into the real world, the world where their creator exists, and must find his or her creator to hopefully be able to unravel the conundrum behind why he or she was brought to the real world. There are going to be two sides to this RP. Side One: Your character wants to find his or her creator only as a means for personal peace and has no interest in having their world re-written. Side Two: Your character wants to find his or her creator and force the creator to revise his or her character description and alter the story behind their world for selfish reasons. You will role play the character and his or her creator. If you have a friend on this site who would be interested in either playing your creator or your creator’s character, then that is acceptable as well.
The main setting of this game will take place in Tokyo, Japan; however, your character’s creator can be located anywhere around the world. No matter where your creator is located, your character will mysteriously appear in Japan. The world is very similar to our own and is on the same technology level as our own. This game will take place in the 2018 timeline since we’re about to enter that year. Let’s make it, January 2018 starting month. They can appear on New Years Eve.
Understand that god-like abilities will be nerfed hard in order for this RP to be fun for everyone. You can have a strong character, but they will not have omnipotent abilities. I do not care how you design the character sheet below. I provided a rough format that can be tweaked as long as you include the information outlined.
C •H •A •R •A •C •T •E •R Full Name: Your character’s full name; First and Last. Middle is optional. To include any fancy titles such as Royalty, Knighthood, or Nobility. Whatever is applicable. Don’t limit yourself. Age: Age is irrelevant for a creation so write the age they “appear to be.” Gender: Male, Female, or It. Height: Weight: Hair Color: Any color to include details such as highlights, ombre, whatever. This is anime-themed. Eye Color: Any color to include details such as bioluminescence, speckles, glitter, whatever. This is anime-themed.
Personality: Likes, Dislikes, overall attitude. Motivation: Which side are they on? Side One or Side Two? Be specific and write what their motivations actually are. I can't see neutrality existing in this RP since the sides are pretty black and white.
Main Weapon: This is your character’s primary weapon that they are known for. It can be a single weapon, dual weapon, firearm, toy, furniture, whatever. It can be random and super destructive. Battle Dress: Do they wear armor? Do they wear casual clothes? Do they wear robes? This is specifically what their reputable appearance is. Special Abilities/Techniques: I will allow you to have 4 abilities total. When your character meets with his or her creator, then maybe they can acquire more depending on the story. These can be magical attacks, sword techniques, martial arts techniques, chi/ki techniques, whatever. If your character has a specific theme, then try to stick to it and not go Mary Sue with these abilities.
Backstory: What was your character in his or her manga, anime, or game? What was his or her purpose or overall story? You can be as detailed as you want or provide a general idea.
Character Relations: This is to be filled out either before or later as your character makes friends or enemies in the game. Other characters are allowed to have come from your game.
C•R•E•A•T•O•R Full Name: First and last name Age: self-explanatory Gender: Male or Female. Nationality: Where were they born? Ethnicity: What is their race? Height: Weight: Hair Color: Eye Color: Personality: The creator is important but I didn't put a lot of emphasis on this section because I feel most will treat them like a NPC. If someone decides to actually play the creator before his or her friend is playing the character, then he or she is free to add more information to this. Company: What company do they work for? Make it up. Are they a manga artist, anime producer, writer, game developer, etc. Character Relations: This is in the case the creator meets other characters or creators. Creators can meet and befriend any creator or character even if the character wasn't the one he or she created.
1. Activity. If you go inactive for 14 days, then I will PM you. If you are inactive for 30 days, then I will drop you from the game. If your partner is waiting on you for 7 days, then you will be skipped out of courtesy to your partner. 2. Communication. You do not have to tell me your business. If you are going to be on vacation or need to go on hiatus because of college exams or what have you, just tell me a return date and I’ll mark you on hiatus. This way you can get a break and happily return to the game when you are able. 3. Drama. Do not come to this game to troll or argue for the sake of arguing. This is a cool and chill environment. If you’re not cool or chill, then don’t bother. 4. Neon Font Colors. Do not use them. They are very bad. 5. Giant Pictures. Either put a hider around it or use a photo gallery website like imgur.com to shrink it down. You can also use pixlr.com a very poor Adobe Photoshop clone. 6. Have fun. Bring your creativity please. There is only so much I can do as a GM. Interact with others. Weave stories. Try to include everyone without bias.
