Just a friendly reminder about the 3-days per post thingy. I'm really gonna try not to pull anymore plugs on anyone since everyone remaining has proven themselves to be excellent writers and posters and I think we got a good shot with the group so far. Plus we've got 8 people left, which I think is close to optimal size.
Regardless of whether you post meanwhile or not, I'm gonna just go straight to next morning so you guys can get something done. Which means you miss out on the opportunity to sneak in that Guard Duty quest or just interaction in general. No big deal tbh.
@Achronum What does the group exactly want to do in the morning? So I can inform you on how to do it.
@HueMan So we had two people get their plugs pulled (drop out: Airalin and Thecrash20) and just seemed to gloss over that in the IC. Is it something we should mention or just continue on?
Your choice really. Although at this point its some time past so you guys can weave it in as flashbacks or just memories. Or you guys can just not mention them. Up to you.
So would Karma get reject for guard duty cause when he tries to applied cause he tiply or would they let him regardless of the fact cause video game logic?
"I'm tired and don't care, probably nothing's gonna happen bloody hell I want sleep" logic from Loran. Idk if that counts as video game logic.
I've been trying to make a post but I'm kinda blocked, heh. Idk what to do with aura right now.
Well TaroAndSelia did a most excellent job interacting with NPCs and getting to know them. I'd like to think I can award people for taking the creative effort some day. Or you could go join Guard Duty.
It is currently 7PM and activity of the town is dying down. All of you have 2 general options at this point:
Option 1: Guard Duty Quest. This will last until 3AM. You will receive small amount of exp and currency and get to know NPC Watchmaster Loran personally but at the cost of having permanent -50HP until you get a solid night's sleep.
Option 2: Wander around, attempt to catch some open stores last-minute for items or go interact with NPCs. Or even just go straight to sleep if you paid for lodging at the inn. Essentially what TaroAndSelia did in the last post.
I shall initiate a 2nd part of the timeskip after everyone posts what they are doing.
OPEN ONLY IF YOU ARE DOING GUARD DUTY
The night air was cool and refreshing. It was nights like these that made Watchmaster Loran enjoy his job, provided that there were no monster attacks. Thankfully the years of experience in his bones told him that this was going to be another peaceful night. He peered out into the fields surrounding Genesis City up from one of the towers that sprung up sporadically along the wall of the great city. The particular tower he was standing in was his favorite, as it gave him a commanding view of the space around. Loran was a stout man who did his job by the book; no more, no less than what was required of him. Yet he had a strange sense of dependable nature, most likely the leathery skin on his face that told people that he has been the guardian of Genesis City for many years. He turned around, away from the breeze, in order to face some new adventurers that had come to him for guard duty.
"So you want the job eh?" A gruff voice greeted the adventurer(s). "Well congratulations you are all hired." Loran said sarcastically, with practically no effort. "It a simple one, yall just gonna have to stand here until I'm back while keeping your eyes peeled. Should be easy enough for you goons not to screw it up." He peered at the adventurer(s) before him. "Now I'm gonna go grab some grub and maybe get some shut eye. Damning Gods in heavens know I need 'em. Just make sure you don't burn the damn tower down or something, I swear to heathen Gods, I'm setting the watch dogs after your asses if you do."
Uh-oh. Is Dubstepp in trouble? I mean, Alisea is early to bed and early to rise, so she's out of any action that happens first or second watch. If guard duty is an ambush quest and everyone else is asleep... Eek.
I'll just make it so that everyone who is going to guard duty can. Nothing will happen during the quest. Anyone joining will get a small exp/currency bonus and mayb the NPC Guard Captain will remember your name (yes this can be potentially useful - or not) but that's about it. However, joining guard duty will make you lose out on a bit of sleep which will result in -50 HP that cannot be healed until you get a full nights rest the next evening.
