No, Verizon. I will not use Google Messenger for my text messages. You can't make me. I'll uninstall that so hard if you dare try me.

It's a Midwestern specialty. Some describe it as marshmallow flavored.
Bio
I am August Reign, a 26+ year old American female. I've dabbled in many things throughout my young life, but my main ones nowadays are cosplay, streaming, sewing, and adult oriented entertainment. I've roleplayed for a long while (on and off) and it was one of the first things I encountered when I was able to freely roam the internet. I made some forums myself, they never took off, but I joined another few and made a good friend on there as well as a few main characters that then took off on their own adventures in their own worlds.
I'm usually up for anything, but I have more experience in original ideas or "Inspired By" types of rps. I don't typically do Fandoms because of the possible toxicity from diehard fans, which then puts me into a corner because I'm ignorant of something or don't do something within lore. However, I do love lore, and story, and world building. Y'know, something that I can visualize and place my character(s) into correctly.
Speaking of visualize, fun fact about me: I see images in my head about what I'm writing about or what kind of reaction the characters would have. Just think of Mordin Solus when he's thinking aloud, and that's how these images are for me. I dont expect our adventure to go exactly as imagined, but I do get a bundle of ideas that I can ramble on about when the right piece fits.
I am open to playing almost anything, but I am more familiar with humanoid creatures. I usually do original characters or if a pre-established character is fairly simple, then I'll be open to playing them as well. I don't want to go have to do a ton of homework for something that's supposed to be fun and enjoyable.
I think I would be considered as an "Advanced" or "Casual" defined roleplayer here, as I write in fairly descriptive paragraphs, though it does range from a few sentences to enough to fill the page, depending on the situation or context. I do not take over other characters (unless otherwise agreed upon), and expect the same from others please. I won't be too nitpicky about spelling or grammar, but if it becomes a problem, it turns me off from the whole focus of being in the rp because I'll instead be confused at the word choice or poking fun at the imagery the wrong word created (ex. Loose vs lose, brought vs bought, your vs you're, etc). I know I make mistakes too, and I know that mobile autocorrect causes some problems too, so it's better to laugh at it or ask a question for clarification instead of getting angry at each other. I would also prefer any roleplays stay on site so as not to clog up my other socials that may be used by other things (i.e. Discord), but I am not opposed to adding ooc friends on them.
As for previous experiences? A lot of my previous rps have revolved around fantasy, supernatural, sci-fi, post apocalyptic, romance, and some freelance Fandom worlds (basically using that theme and worldspace but not doing any big stories that affect other canon aspects). I have a handful of characters that I choose from, but can and will make someone new to fit a new world or lorebase.
Link to the stash! Will clean it up later to make it look prettier here.
- Primarily smut based rps. While there are definitely appropriate times for these scenes, I do not want a Smut First Plot Third type of deal. I'll definitely write out flirtation, build up, and implication all day, but writing out the actual act beyond that becomes boring and tedious for me if it's all day every day. - Details about needles/bloodwork. I get sick thinking about these things. I have had several surgeries and tests done over my young life that it has left me with a fear of these. I will get dizzy, tunnel vision, have breathing problems, and want to physically fight to get away from it. It is irrational, but not a phobia. Mentions of needles or a vague usage are fine, just details are the problem. - Underage characters. I am fine with having side characters being non adults, but do not want the majority of interactions to be with them. Also do not want to get the website in trouble for having gruesome depictions of bad things happening to them. Vague and generalized descriptors are fine with me. - Parenting. I don't want to go through the rigamarol of being a parent, IRL or in RP. Sure, some side characters may be a parent, but I have no desire to raise a child myself. If our characters end up romantically involved and have children, there must be a timeskip to where the child is not a nuisance anymore. I am not chasing a toddler around the world or sacrificing my character's adventures to go to a soccer game.
I have a day job, side job, another side job, and a few hobbies with schedules, so I cannot guarantee a certain time I will be online (or actually actively on the site when shown as online). I also keep this website up whenever I'm home and doing other things around the place, so I may not immediately see something sent to me.
I don't really know what else to put on here right now so.... yeah, that's about it I guess. AMA if you want.
Finished BG:EE, got a bit bored of The Black Pits (will finish eventually) and started BG2:EE. I'm ever so closer to finally getting into BG3, though I am quite enjoying the journey of the first two games!
Also finally playing the first Resident Evil game. I've only played RE 5 and 6, seen some of the other games. It is straight up just early 2000s exploratory puzzle horror game, with lots of backtracking across the mansion for this item or this switch, etc. The limited save system is nice, and extends the game a bunch because I have a habit of dying several times before getting back to the save spot. Plus, with my squirrel brain, I forget where enemies, puzzle hints, and items I can't pick up at the time are, so it's a lot more wandering and referring to the map every few seconds. Also, who the hell designed this place?? I know it's basically a cover for a virus lab but still, did each researcher and security person have to go through this crap when they worked there? And how does anyone even try to live here? It's a maze, and makes no sense as an actual house to me.
On the other hand, I am quite enjoying Evil Within 2. The open world surprised me, but it definitely fits. The "vault" system like Dying Light and Dead Space 3 is also pretty cool, little optional areas to get a bunch of gear and upgraded weapons, though I am curious how they're going to link the Big Bad from game 1 to game 2, cuz I haven't seen them yet, or at least not in a manner that I recognize.
And then there's Starship Troopers: Extraction. It's hilarious, just like the movie, and tons of whiny players that my team gets to troll. It's great! A little repetitive with the missions, but the maps are pretty rotated and keep it fresh. It's a game that actually encourages teamwork and synergy in a PvE environment.
In other SciFi news, Empyrion Galactic Survival has announced they have a DLC coming out! Which I am extremely out of touch of the story with the base game, so I thought it wasn't a great idea since last I knew the story mode wasn't even finished, but that was... what, a few years ago since I played the actual story? Like maybe 4 or 5 years? Dang. But the teaser trailer looks cool!
I know I get busy, especially during the American end of year holidays and October (cuz Halloween is best) so I figure if anyone hasn't responded then they're busy or have a writing block, and I understand that, so any and all partners of mine are given basically an infinite time period of when they can reply back to me. I once waited 3 years for a reply before I messaged my partner about if they're still interested in the rp. I also saw on another social media site that they had medical problems and a wedding going on, so of course they're gonna be too busy to come onto the website to say "Hey I'm busy dunno when I'm gonna be back". With my own schedule having to be planned a year or two in advance (literally) I understand what it's like to be busy or overwhelmed by Life that there are more important things to focus on than the next post of a story being written with an internet person. I usually play my backlog of video games or clean when I have spare time in my life. Thinking about changing that though when I upgrade my craft station eventually.
Info about me can be found off my profile's bio or my Intro post. I am also initially writing this on mobile, and I may also end up replying via mobile too, but I swap my platform depending on what I'm doing at the time.
Okay, so!
I would love some kind of long term rp that has a story, character development, and just leaves an impression that you want to go make the characters in The Sims or reference them in other stories. I get quite attached to characters, especially when the development is good. I am open to pretty much anything, but I have little experience in Westerns, Historical, Steampunk, Military, or High School. If you'd like one of those settings, I'm up for it, but please note that I'll be a newb at it and may get some things wrong.
If you have any questions, please ask them!
- Details. I'm not talking about needing to know exactly what every little detail of your character's shoelace is, but I do need to know what's going on for me to bounce off of what you've written and get a grasp of the imagery you're trying to show. An example would be that you climb a tree then fell down. What kind of tree is it? How high up are you? Was it a planned fall or did you lose your balance? Why did you fall? Etc. These simple details will make or break the situation, and can also determine what happens next. I don't expect a certain amount of lines, words, or ritual sacrifices to be met; I'd like to be able to picture what's going on and react accordingly to it.
- Power creep. I dont care if your character is super powerful, but I do care if you're "magically" immune to anything or everything possible and nothing can hurt you. My head literally cannot comprehend that type of thing and it's boring to me. You need to have some kind of weakness or ability to perish please. I'd like some risk to our characters, even if they're godly powerful.
- Response time. I dont really care how long or short it takes you to reply, I'm not going to hold a grudge or anything negative towards you if you don't reply. I might be a little sad if I've become attached to our characters and will feel guilty if I use mine in another rp, but I won't hold ghosting / not replying against you. We all have our priorities in Life, and sometimes rping isn't it. I ask the same courtesy be given to me.
- Erotica. Not a necessary thing for me. I much prefer story/development/plot to smut, but I am not opposed to writing it. I am pretty much open to any idea, though I am unfamiliar with anthromorphic (if that's the right word) relationships. I can look up whatever, but anything beyond vanilla interactions should be talked about first.
- Rp Location. I would prefer we rp here on this site, and I'm also used to having two chats: One for OOC chatting and ideas, and the other being the actual RP. It keeps things organized so we don't have to scroll all the way up or several pages back to reference the last reply. I am open to a dedicated thread if that's more your style, but most of my experience is PM based.
- Triggering / Dark Themes. I am totally okay with most content, but if there is of any concern whatsoever, please do talk with me about it. I dont want to cause any personal problems or uncomfortable topics if it's not something that is sought after.
- Age of Characters. An absolute must of our characters being adults (18+). I dont even want to risk any underage shenanigans being played out.
- Parents / Family themes. I don't do parenting. Period.
All are open to any gender pairing. I am more familiar with female but I can and will play male.
- Generic themed adventure. It could be fantasy, scifi, modern, slice of life, superhero, supernatural, whatever. Just grab a couple of characters, compare their worlds, and smash them together or put them in a generic place where they'd both fit. Super simple, super flexible.
- Romance. Your character and mine end up together romantically somehow. Same as above, grab some characters, compare similar aspects and find a world to drop them into. They could be total strangers who bump into each other, a rescuer and rescuee, enemies forced to work together, old friends, business partners?, hunter and hunted, etc.
- Face Off. Characters are enemies and are constantly trying to hunt each other down or fighting. Could be a police thing, superheroes, old partners but bad blood, idk. Real flexible too. An NPC could also be the enemy?
- Peas in a Pod. Our characters encounter one another and find they have the same goal so they team up to try to achieve this goal. Or one character could be in trouble and asks the help of the other character and they stick together.
- Survivors. Apocalypse? Natural disaster? War? In Laws? Who cares? Our characters are surviving some kind of nasty event and end up grouping together to increase their odds at survival of whatever the awful event is.
These are some ideas I've had for a long time or and haven't done much rp with yet. Most of these are World Builders, so we can just play in the semi-established world. Also, I kind of just make stuff up on the spot with these when it comes to details, but the general world shell is established.
- Overgrowth. The apocalypse was always expected to be full of war, explosions, nuclear weapons, some mutant zombie virus, or aliens, but no one thought it wouldn't been Mother Nature who fought back. Nature unleashed a weapon: Spores that mutated animals and humans, plant life with accelerated growth, sentient trees, and darker secrets hidden beneath the dirt. Our cities were overtaken, the steel and concrete seemingly eaten alive by the plant life, our neighbors, protectors, government, and families being infected and changed into grotesque creatures. The forests and animals took over, hunting or overpowering those who survived, chasing them out of Nature's claims. Only a few cities stand across the world now, or at least, that's what we assume since communication was cut off. A brave few venture outside the city walls, into the deep and dark unknowns of the Great Forest, and those who return, are known to all.
- The Academy. A magic school for all, specializing in breaking down the elemental aspects and hyperfocusing on that which each person is most gifted for. They have to be wary though, for demons from the various elemental planes are always looking for a way to gain more power, and gather more souls to feast upon. I have no general plot line for this one, just a world that was built ~15 years ago and I'd be up for visiting again.
- Dark Star. A scifi world inspired by the underworld of Star Wars and Mass Effect. A space station ruled by organizations called Houses, Dark Star is home to any and all people of the galaxy that have been banished or are viewed as outcasts. Become a friend to the gambling houses, or maybe a merchant for the banking houses, or perhaps you were born as royalty in the upper houses? Maybe you're a smuggler or pirate, or want to uphold the laws and dish out justice to those criminal scum that infest this place? While some aspects were inspired by Star Wars, there is no Force to speak of, but similarly to Mass Effect, there is technology that can harness different energies and manipulate them to one's will.
These are dreams I've had that have potential to be turned into a neat RP. Baseline ideas that can be developed further and expanded upon. Note: some of these have Fandom aspects, which can be kept or changed to avoid nitpickiness. Also, I have no idea why I keep having alien invasion types of dreams. shrug
- Fantasy Noir. Modern day early 2000s ish, with heavy influence from multiple fandoms. DnD, Dragon Age, Men in Black, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, generic science fiction. A government experiment escapes the Men In Black, and goes on the run or hiding. No one knows what they want, but they have relationships with a Nightingale Ranger who used to be part of the police force. The Ranger is in training with another Nightingale Ranger, and they both wish to find this Rogue to settle the past between the younger one and the escapee. The police send out a detective duo, led by a strangely familiar synthetic, to go after the deserter ranger. The Men in Black follow and watch the detective duo. The experiment uses their charisma and abilities to hide out in a cartel brothel which has connections to the underground network of scifi bunkers and tunnels that run below modern day civilization. These bunkers have been long abandoned and are typically filled with monsters or old treasures, but only Adventurers or nefarious folk go down there now. We could play multiple characters in this one, though I do have a preference for being the Experiment since that was depicted as "me" in the dream.
- Supernatural Mutants and Aliens. Modern day Earth, modern setting, semi apocalyptic. There are Towers of giant anti-air gun turrets serving as a defensive piece for the country, and supernatural creatures exist but are extremely frowned upon or seen as fairy tales still, expect for zombies. Because of course, there's a zombie apocalypse going on. One family, who are mutants to the point where they take on attributes of supernatural creatures that bite them without losing themselves, join with a group of human survivors having a party just out of reach of the nearby zombie horde. At some point, the nearby Tower shoots, halting the party and throwing everyone into a shocked state. A high tech plane cones crashing down, one of those shielded military interceptors, and that's when everything gets crazy. The humans start scattering, the family starts panicking because one of their members got bit and was taking on the aspects of a zombie, and the other Towers in the region start going nuts shooting at something in the sky. That turns into many somethings, because tons more of those military aircraft in addition to unknown ones start raining down across the place. The crowd is uncontrollable, and run straight into a slaughter line. High tech tendrils of metal are slicing down the people, preventing any escape, and they are backed up by larger versions of these, which are then backed up by humanoid soldiers with various blades and guns picking off the rest. This army was a force to be reckoned with, and they came from outer space to help the humans be rid of all their problems. Fortunately, that means the zombie horde. Unfortunately, that means any rebels, those who try to kill themselves, or the infected are prime targets. Some humans are redeemable though, and are recruited into the army. The idea here is one person is part of the alien army and "conditioned" for total loyalty in exchange for power and training for The Greater Good. The other person infiltrates the army to try to save this first person. Or we could have multiple characters and make some use of the mutant family or other aspects to be introduced.
- Alien Plant Infestation. Modern day to semi futuristic Earth. The planet has been invaded by sentient alien plant life that can mutate other life on Earth via infection. There are Specialists that work with special forces of the military that are immune to the spores and are attuned to them. They can telekinetically manipulate infected pieces from individuals, see the mutated life, detect the aliens from non aliens, and track the spores themselves as they travel through the air. To them, it's obvious, with bright colors and twisted versions of the base Earth plants obvious to them versus seemingly invisible to normal humans. The more advanced the infection, the more humanoid the plant gets, growing a face, appendages, and using technology to further the takeover. Infected individuals blatantly deny the existence of the invaders and appear with green cactus like growths protruding from their ears, nose, eyes, mouth, whatever orifice possible. Specialists also have an ability to New Game Plus if something goes wrong, usually unknown to them until it happens, but they keep all their knowledge of the Time Before, even if the people around them are different or not as of high caliber and skill than before. I'd love to play one of the Specialists in this one. You could be one as well, or perhaps a soldier that New Game Pluses with me?
- Witch Maid. Super simple. A battle Witch is transported to another world with nothing, not even clothes, and has to figure out what's what. The first outfit she found is a maid uniform, which she doesn't really care cuz it allows for freedom of movement and doesn't make her feel like she's suffocating. It becomes a signature look for her. Main Rp idea is I'd play the Witch Maid.
- The Dark Wave. A Mass Effect Reaper-like alien invasion of destruction forces humanity into bunkers underground for years until they are driven back up to the surface because Science and Dinosaurs (no, really, it was like a whole other dream inside this one). They make settlements, adapt to the wasteland, and prosper for quite some time until The Agent arrives. The Agent infiltrates and corrupts these settlements, leaving nothing living behind. A selected few are sent out to unite the various settlements across the land to fight off this Dark Wave, and the Agent that preludes it. This isn't fully like Fallout or a restart of humanity though, there's a lot of technology, starting from around WW2 era up to nanotechnology and cybernetics. Rp idea would be that I'd play The Agent and possibly another one or two characters who are part of that scout group to unite the lands against it. You'd play another member (or more than one) of that same scout group.
- The Hunt (Star Wars Based). An undercover Dark Jedi / Sith goes after a special blue katana that's in the possession of a Mandalorian traveling with a Jedi (yeah, like that's never happened before /sarcasm). The pair of good doers get lost in hyperspace, stranded from all other help save for the hunting dark one. In the dream, it was shown how hyperspace is just a series of tubes in this endless void that can transverse time, space, and existence itself, but that's not really needed. In the end, the undercover dark one was able to steal away the blue katana and corrupt the good ones, or at least bring them to a place where she had ruling power, and basically celebrated in her mission being complete and how she'd go about using the power of the blue katana. It had some kind of significance like the DarkSaber, but wasn't really used much or shown what its powers were. One Rp idea here would be one of us playing the dark one, and the other playing the good one(s). Could double up too.
- Space Romans. A modern day to semi futuristic Earth is invaded by a strange alien force. People are slaughtered, taken as slaves, or assimilated into the new world order. However, one woman is taken as a royal bride, stolen away from her lesser classed family and friends. The world changes to fit these new overlords' tastes, but to humanity, it just looks like Romans From Space. Pillar and stone architecture with levitating artistic pieces, centurion guardsmen with both electric blades and plasma energy rifles, horses to carry the high ranks and flying machines for long distance travel. Wine, revelry, servitude, and drama. In the dream, I was that woman-taken-as-wife, and all I wanted was to see my family, even going so far as to disguise myself as a centurion to escape the palace. For an RP, one of us would play the new wife, the other, the invading ruler, who was infatuated with the woman's beauty, spunk, and independent allure.
- Space Vampires. For millennia, there's been this race of humanoid creatures that have been conquering, assimilating, evolving, and destroying intelligent species across space. Their next target? Earth, and they're already here. Most would think they're normal people, gods amongst humanity some would consider them, but they're actually telekinetic vampiric shapeshifting aliens from an unknown planet far, far away. They've been using a star map from a derelict star station built by a race they would even consider ancient, and visiting each planet of these stars to gain power, slaves, entertainment, and another piece of the star station's map. They offer power through consumption of their blood or flesh, which mutates the targeted creature into a sort of vampiric husk of themselves. Many, many times they have seen the lesser species grow out of control, so they decide to eradicate them. By inscribing cyrillic abjad runes along the landscape, they can sever and launch the quarantined zone into space, effectively destroying and exiling any of the crazed races. Earth is the next stop on their incomplete star map, so they've come to find the next piece. In the dream, I played the part of the ruling space vampire, morphed into a female human and, with the help of my second in command, infiltrated a government organization that dealt with anomalous objects like the starmap piece I sought. There were other main character humans, some being able to determine non-human creatures and hunted them down while others were more like consultants and researchers there for the scientific discovery. Roleplay ideas could be that we are both part of the alien race coming to play with the humans who try to stop us, one of us is an alien while the other is human, we could have a group of characters on both sides... There's a lot that can be done with this.
- Nuclear Zombie Apocalypse. Simple dream this one. Modern day Earth, nukes are unleashed on the planet, creates Survivors and Zombies. We have to scavenge around while fighting off or avoiding the hordes. Zombies are fairly tough, and sometimes not even head chops will take them down. Oh, and the nukes were launched because of international war, or so the newscasts said before the world was blown to bits.
- SciFi Bunker Dungeon Crawler. This dream was a mix of a dungeon crawler, scifi magic, gritty scenery, and military group vs military group with weird science causing it all. I remember having to escort a small group of people, some of them experimental researchers and others being a black ops type of squad and we had survived some kind of Event that happened on the surface. It was our duty now to wander these underground bunkers and tunnels, avoiding another faction there, and finding our way out. Some of us had mutations or powers, and I remember mine being something along the lines of Life Steal or Blood Drain, but other abilities could be learned based off objects found while exploring the underground complexes. We had to be careful of The Marines, a faction of humans that were hunting any surviving scientists and their bodyguards down because of what they did to the world. It was glazed over, but the group found out that the scientists we were escorting were some of the key members of causing The Event and we fought amongst ourselves before a squad of The Marines pinpointed us. Then it was time to try to avoid them, or fight, which The Marines were known to be experts of combat, especially down here in their home. RP idea could be an escort mission of one of us being one of the scientists involved with the project and the other being a black ops protector, or maybe the scientist wasn't involved with the project and one of their role models was, or maybe one of us hunts the other down as a Marine.
- Superhero Thunderdome. A bunch of superheroes got put into a mall and are forced to kill each other, compete in weird carnival games, or outlast the others in order to gain Points. Whoever has the most points at the end, or whoever is left standing, wins this... thunderdome thing. It was chaos, I gotta say. There were races around the mall, dunk tanks, straight up boxing rings, go karts, disable the bomb, foam pits, just tons of stuff. Rp idea could be a dice roll thing for multiple characters, or maybe even a larger and more nefarious plot that forced everyone here to compete and we're infiltrating the event to uncover the dark origins, idk. It was weird and fun to 3rd Person fly around and turn into smoke.
- Modern Vampire Gang. Modern day. Wander into a bar and go after the VIP section upstairs, somehow getting in and order a drink. There's these two men in the place, the only other people, one graced with a half burned face. They're talking and one gestures to the human, mentioning something about "Why not?". He doesn't even hide it. He wants to turn the human, an invitation to their dark world among the living. The dream ended at that point, after being bitten by the man with the burn, a slow descent into a numb darkness. As with all my vampire dreams, I wanted to continue the story so much!
- Dune, But Not. This one was weird. It was like the story following Paul Atreides, but it was set in a victorian era kind of steampunk realm. Paul was prophesized and trained for his future role, but he rebelled, fighting off anyone and anything that dared to force him off his path of freedom. His main weapon was a walking stick sword. He just kind of... walked the city streets, beating up anyone who got in his way. RP idea would be related to the generalized idea of a nobleman being trained from childhood to be this next Great Something but decides he doesn't want to be, and runs away from his predetermined destiny. Maybe he'll find a friend, an ally, a lover, a recurring enemy? Who knows?
- Killing with the Kardashians. A group of beautiful women who are well known on social media are secretly well trained as hitmen, specialists, saboteurs, spies, whatever one might need. They're powerful and influential enough to act on their own as well as accept bids from various entities (government, rich, rights groups...). Recently, they've taken up advocating for AI machines who have been abused and tortured because their performance isn't meeting the expected levels. Their human operators have been murdered before their eyes and replaced with someone more harsh in their treatment of the machines. The dream had me join these women after I interacted with one of their social media posts and went to one of their events and caught their eye. Next thing I knew I was now their sniper for the next assignment, because their current one was having a Blue Day, lamenting about her love life. Participants could expand to a small group. RP idea could follow the dream route and have a newbie join with the sisterhood, one of them goes rogue, double agent shenanigans, promised riches and power leads to betrayal of the group, a tv show or movie is forced upon them so now they have to life more than a double life, paparazzi problems...
- Sentient Warframe - Fandom universe. After however many years its been controlling/possessing the Warframes, the Tenno has evolved and now become the Drifter, growing up and able to fight on their own terms now. The Warframe, after experiencing the social interactions of squads and friendly encounters, teamwork for completing missions and trying to keep a hold on the chaos of the Sol System, has slowly, but surely, learned sentience. I'm not talking sentience as in turning Sentient, but the ability to move, think, speak, and feel for itself. After returning from a mission to the Orbiter, the Drifter realizes that the Warframe has not gone quiet and statuesque at the Arsenal. It's moving, and wandering about the Orbiter like it's the same as one of the Tenno's friends or squadmates. It can speak, choosing to remember all the times it has defended the Tenno and how bittersweet seeing them all grown up and capable they are now. After exploring the Orbiter and walking into a side room, a link from the Orbiter to a Clan themed training room, it's discovered that both the Warframe and the Drifter can enter into missions and side fight by side. What do they do now? What does that mean for the structure of squads and their missions? How does the Warframe develop further? This dream ended when my Warframe, Oberon, had spoken with me and finally said I should Wake Up. For RPing, either role is fine for me, though I am much more familiar with mechanics than canon story (more deets if you ask).
Love Beyond The Grave - Modern supernatural SoL romance. A ghost and a ghost hunter fall in love but the ghost cannot be seen by any of the friends of the ghost hunter. That's the basic gist of the dream. I would have more to write about, but I didn't write the dream down in all the detailed glory like others so I sadly don't have much to put here. I think the ghost hunter's home is the place that's haunted by the ghost? And in the dream it was a female ghost hunter and male ghost. He didn't want anything to do with the romance at first, but she ended up winning him over, or at least to a tolerable level where he'd just stand there and she'd snog on him (which then looked silly and hilarious for all her friends who just saw her making out with the air).
Brainwashed Colony - A pair of scientists, one also playing the role of bodyguard, stumble upon this abandoned lab for a top secret project. They explore, finding a bunker-like system of genetic labs, observation rooms, and two styles of decoration: One being "clean", high tech, and with equipment everywhere, the other modeled after American 1940s and 1950s era with some solarpunk sprinkled in. As the scientists dive further into the abandoned site, they find that not only is it still occupied, but the experiment is still on. A colony of people are living here, secluded from the rest of the world, testing a new serum to play with one's memories and personalities. Effectively, everyone in this colony has been brainwashed to believe the gender roles of the time, breaking down women to be servants of men, and breaking down men to be staunchly protective of their women while also keeping them enslaved. The scientists are puzzled though - who is running this experiment? Are they still here? And why does it seem like they're about to be targeted by this colony, to be assimilated as part of it? This dream continued on to force experiments on the scientists, one male one female, and how it psychologically affected them and their relationship with not only each other, but their jobs, the colony's society, and their own morals, as they tried to escape.
- Foot in Both Worlds. Modern day, with mixes of apocalyptic aspects. In a world of darkness, filled with murdering monsters and come-to-life TV/Movie horror icons, there is a group that fights back against the evil of the world. Supplying food, water, and shelter to those unable to defend themselves, this group makes "runs" against the collective of the evil, raiding their bunkers, buildings, realms of flesh and suffering to accomplish gamified objectives for safe passage and supply rewards. This has been a pact for a long time, and is always honored. One day though, after a winning streak of "matches", there was a threat made about the runner being turned to the evil because they're so good at what they do. Bored and excited at the method of transformation, the runner accepted in the form of a dare. They egged on the two evils, taunting them to do just that, right here, right now, in front of the shopkeeper that doled out supplies for their little "game". The two ended up taking that challenge, and rushed the runner, both killing and resurrecting them to then work for their team. Unfortunately this took a different route, for the runner became one with both the living and the dead worlds. They could transform themselves into a wraith form, see into the wraith world, phase through physical objects like a ghost, and interact with the beings on the other side. It was a learning curve at first, but they were found by a friendly wraith, a woman who took an interest in the innocent amusement of the runner learning about their new ability. She taught the runner how it worked, how to fly, to fall, to phase in and out, how it felt to be free. All seemed so much clearer now for the runner, and all those things they worried about with their team were of such little consequence. Slowly, the runner became like an outcast to the team, one who shoved them away when they tried to get close or chose a simple and easy way through the wraith world to achieve their goals. Slowly, slowly, the runner turned sour to them, an ultimate weapon against the evil, but at the cost of becoming evil themselves. Their obsession with the wraith world and their newfound abilities blew up their ego, making them a Chosen One in this world. Question is: will they save the world from the evil, or become part of it and rule over the rest as a new power? RP idea could be addressing the transformation story of the runner, the aftermath of the dream, the drama between the teams of characters, learning curve of the wraith world, or something else that comes to mind. I thought this dream was cool, and being the role of the runner in the dream was such a freeing experience.
- Organic Assimilation. Yet another alien invasion dream. One fateful day, there was what could be called The Rapture. Humanity was struck with golden and green lightning from the heavens and a chain reaction occurred. Within a small amount of time, every single human was struck by this lightning, with those who witnessed it believing that their fellow humans had been disintegrated. However, what happened was actually a planet wide mass kidnapping, with humanity being transported to a strange alien world. This world was both organic and technologically advanced, and when a certain number of humans had been taken, it was like the planet came to life. It was multi layered like one of those old cat ball bell toys, limited to three layers, and it started to gyrate in the center, morphing like a jellyfish in water but shaped like a bean. The planet didn't have a surface, for it was like this sac filled with the actual civilization. I was one of the many kidnapped humans, though I was not able to see much while inside the planet. I had been transported to what looked like a high tech train station, or a scene out of Dead Space with the architecture. One of the aliens came into the room, which had been filled with about twenty other humans. The alien looked human enough, though with embedded tech that matched the wall architecture and dark green color scheme. They didn't speak, but somehow we all knew what that 'woman' was saying: Humanity had been chosen as the next vessels for both their race and to fuel their planet with our energies. When we ran out, then they would go harvest another organic race. That's where the dream ended due to my alarm going off, but I'd like to explore this organic world more and build up on the idea that a planet could literally be living. Do we start a revolution? Do we become one with the aliens? Do we conquer them? Do we escape? Do we live peacefully among/beside them?
Hi all, I am August Reign, an experienced forum based roleplayer who has been away from the game for a few years now. I'm just throwing up this thread for 1) I was unbanned because I had my VPN on, like many others lol (thank you LegendBegins!) and 2) to help prevent spam as per what my profile/site settings has asked me to do.
Oh, let's see here...
I have been on several RP Forums before, some private while others were lesser known public forums. I then joined some mobile applications, but found they took too much space on my device and the community became more toxic as I lingered. I then joined a different but also popular forum as my most recent presence online, but y'know how some of those long term RPs go... sad but oh well. I've been a part of a handful of themes, mostly anime, fantasy, romance, or modern day superhero/mutants, but I have also been a host to several original idea types, mostly modern day, futuristic, or post apocalyptic.
This place looks really chill and Use Your Common Sense type of vibes, so I'm looking to feel things out and see how it goes!
