No, Verizon. I will not use Google Messenger for my text messages. You can't make me. I'll uninstall that so hard if you dare try me.

4 days of haunted woods, then a double dose of vaccines. How bad could it be? Answer: Bad. Very bad. Holy snozzballs it's bad. A literal war is going on inside me and gahhh it hurts.

Bio

I am August Reign, an almost-30 year old woman from the US. I (unofficially) have ADHD, no kids, no pets, but a loving s/o and many, MANY hobbies. I love to experiment and fafo, keeping things spicy and fun in life, preferring to not turn into a "suburban mom" type of person. I'd consider myself as "Chaotic Good" in alignment, but according to that one 100+ question test I took just now, I'm a True Neutral Bard.

I've been roleplaying and writing for at least 20 years now, on and off, since I first got my own laptop and stumbled onto fandom forums based on various anime. I made a friend (still friends today!) and they introduced me to more freestyle and original character based rping, and I've enjoyed it ever since.

I have a preference for fantasy, scifi, romance, and occasional fandoms, but typically all with original characters and plotlines. I am not one to stray from other genres though, so if you think we'd mesh well, I'm up for trying new things!

I have a list of characters you can find at the end of the Bio, and am slowly working on getting them into sheet formats. I am not afraid to make new people for new rps, or translate one from their preferred genre/theme/time into another. I've also had cameos occasionally to help pass the time or connect one plotline section to another.

As for preferences for partners? I'm overall pretty chill and will wait literal years for a reply. I'd like my partners to be able to give me something to work with, though I don't really have minimums or requirements for post length. More details about the situation, the better: Falling from a tree could be a theatrically beautiful presentation, a catastrophic tragedy, a sticky situation, a silly slip, or a romantic show of affection. It could be a mix of all of the above! But please give me the details needed so I can write a response that is proper to the situation. I don't want to react to a character who barely got hurt with someone concerned with literal death and thinking there's a corpse crumpled before them.

I do not rp in detail about needles, parenting, or children. I will skip over these if you write them because I have a light phobia (needles) and zero interest (parenting/child rearing). They can exist, but I will not go into details or I will use other words to lighten the phobia activation. Children, if they exist, typically have a side plot in my rps or they add to the world building, they're not a main asset or focus.

Another couple of dreams added, though not as detailed as the others. Been having too many irl related dreams lately sadly, and the few I remember that were not irl related aren't really enough detail to give a full picture on.

Just gonna give the charries a little barracks to hang out in. Leading post, so will throw updates and stuff in this message I guess. Nothing too fancy here.

The list is in no particular order, just kind of who I can think of when they come around. Strikethroughs are those who are actively taken romantically. They're not off the table for rping, but I would feel a little weird about using them in a romantic fashion when they're already doing the same thing somewhere else.

Added another dream
Edited main post to add another dream world. Apocalypse zombies, yay!
Edited to add yet another dream (seriously why do I keep having alien invasion dreams?) and condensed the post into a bunch of Hiders to look a little more clean.
Oooh, a fellow Green Hellian!

Interest for numbers 4, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Soft interest for numbers 5 and 9.

I usually do dms, but seeing as how this isn't explicitly 1x1, I'll post here so others can see.
Edited to add another dream I just woke up from. I really didn't want to leave that one, but it started to turn into a weird hybrid of Prey (2017) and Alien
(Piggy backing off your thread if that's okay)

Another furniture salesman, posting about tables
Finished BG:EE, got a bit bored of The Black Pits (will finish eventually) and started BG2:EE. I'm ever so closer to finally getting into BG3, though I am quite enjoying the journey of the first two games!

Also finally playing the first Resident Evil game. I've only played RE 5 and 6, seen some of the other games. It is straight up just early 2000s exploratory puzzle horror game, with lots of backtracking across the mansion for this item or this switch, etc. The limited save system is nice, and extends the game a bunch because I have a habit of dying several times before getting back to the save spot. Plus, with my squirrel brain, I forget where enemies, puzzle hints, and items I can't pick up at the time are, so it's a lot more wandering and referring to the map every few seconds. Also, who the hell designed this place?? I know it's basically a cover for a virus lab but still, did each researcher and security person have to go through this crap when they worked there? And how does anyone even try to live here? It's a maze, and makes no sense as an actual house to me.

On the other hand, I am quite enjoying Evil Within 2. The open world surprised me, but it definitely fits. The "vault" system like Dying Light and Dead Space 3 is also pretty cool, little optional areas to get a bunch of gear and upgraded weapons, though I am curious how they're going to link the Big Bad from game 1 to game 2, cuz I haven't seen them yet, or at least not in a manner that I recognize.

And then there's Starship Troopers: Extraction. It's hilarious, just like the movie, and tons of whiny players that my team gets to troll. It's great! A little repetitive with the missions, but the maps are pretty rotated and keep it fresh. It's a game that actually encourages teamwork and synergy in a PvE environment.

In other SciFi news, Empyrion Galactic Survival has announced they have a DLC coming out! Which I am extremely out of touch of the story with the base game, so I thought it wasn't a great idea since last I knew the story mode wasn't even finished, but that was... what, a few years ago since I played the actual story? Like maybe 4 or 5 years? Dang. But the teaser trailer looks cool!
