Hotaru was beginning to regret her decision and often peeked behind her, expecting a ghost or something. "It's not even dark, so why is this school so scary?" She sighed and whined a bit. Suddenly a boy appeared out of nowhere and approached her. Of course, to Hotaru, this could only mean one possible thing. Oh no... This guy! He's gonna take advantage of a vulnerable young girl now that she's all alone, isn't he?! She began backing away in a defensive position, subconsciously wearing a hilarious expression.

"You're new here, I can tell. Don't ask how-"

"..." Hotaru felt her cheeks start to burn, realizing she jumped to conclusions. Why would I even think that? This is a school! A pretty high-rated one at that... She held out her hand, hoping to receive the map he picked up with her head turned the other way. A slight gasp escaped when he threw it to the ground. "Wh-?" Without hesitating, she dove to grab it. "I need this, it's essential!"

Hotaru held a blank as the boy proceeded to introduce himself while self-proclaiming as Hotaru's official tour guide. She stood up, regained her posture, and turned to look straight at the Senji. "... Huuhh? A tour guide? Hmph! I know exactly where I'm going! I don't need your help," she turned back and looked down the long, scary corridor. "Er... On second thought," she turned back, grasped his hand with both of hers, and shook it vigorously. "I'm Hotaru Takano! Nice to meet you, I'll take you up on that offer!" Although it was more of a declaration...

"Hey!"

Hotaru turned to look as another student approached them. The girl informed them of the opening ceremony and introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you Emi," Hotaru put on her best smile and introduced herself once again. Wait... Does this mean the auditorium was right there the whole time?! She felt like facepalming but resisted the urge.

@Tokki Don't worry, you haven't missed anything important. You probably already know, but we'll first go to the opening ceremony, then homeroom, and then dorms. And, er, that's pretty much it. Oh! Also, I'll respond to your IC post tomorrow morning. :)

Appearance

Personality: Kind and caring, but also weak and a coward. She puts on a strong front to hide her sense and fear of danger, but she also holds a genuine love for adventure. Mana always prioritizes others before her, even if they don't share the same nationality. She believes that the Phoenicis emperor has the right idea to try and collaborate with the other nations.

Another thing is that she's awfully short (and underdeveloped xD) for her age, and has become the teasing target for friends, family, and even the soldiers that she treats. Underneath all her apparent kindness is some fierceness (which is even more so teased upon).

Short Biography: The elderly and those who have passed in Mana's family moved into Phoenicis in refuge. They originally inhabited a small village of a hundred individuals or so on the outskirts, it was a connected group. Mana only spent a few years there growing up, observing her grandfather work to treat the wounded. One sorrowful day, the Pokemon that once lived alongside the people attacked the village. After the destruction of their previous home, Mana was taken with her grandparents deeper into Phoenicis where it was said to be safer.

She spent the next fifteen years or so learning from both of her grandparents and becoming fairly skilled in medicinal herbs as well as treating patients. Once she became older, she began treating soldiers in battle on the outskirts of Phoenicis once again. Although Mana has witnessed and experienced battle, she's never inched less than ten feet of a distance toward any Pokemon, ever.

@KoL Yeah, I believe you'll have a bit of catching up. But I'll attempt to recap everything and limit how far we go for today. (Maybe posting order rules will be needed after all. xD) Please don't be discouraged that we've started already, we won't go past the opening ceremony until each character has made at least an intro post.

@Kitsune Don't worry, I'll try to make sure things don't explode. If they do, I'll do my best to catch you up, and whoever else missed anything.

Also, sorry @White Feather. I think I agree more with Aline on this one. It would make more sense in terms of what I've seen in some manga that homeroom is where students go first immediately after the ceremony. Oh, but no worries. Right after meeting those in the same year as you, you'll be able to head to your dorms and do... Er, whatever you want I guess. (Let's keep this under 18+ though, please?) xD
