How is he stuck in the Mortal Realm if he has easy access to a Hell Gate?
Also keep in mind Hell Gates are so hard to do, getting one open was the antagonist goal in DMC3 and DMC4.

Alright let's go ahead with the tighter lore, I'd also appreciate a more precise explanation of what the shadow-tenctacles are/can do. If you want fisticuffs, a gauntlet-type DA would allow DT and honestly sync well, maybe open up the path to a more unique powerset.

Are you really going to expect me to believe that a gamma-irradiated strongboy or a Russian with some biotech is no longer human, but a guy who can shoot out soul bullets and also is strong enough to throw cars is still a normal human?

Yeah I just got two things to clear up first. It's unclear, did Dante intentionally bring demons to the church, or what happened there? Dante's not an asshole, so he wouldn't put people in danger intentionally.
Also, your "Crucify" ability is more of an "I win" button; you're saying it insta-gibs all demons in an area the size of a convenience store? On top of that, I think you'd TK a large percentage of your teammates whenever you use it.

I like all the tirade about spirit-bullets when Dante just unloads .45 nonstop. Anyways, you're in; go ahead and post it in the CS tab.
I just wouldn't refer to yourself as a "Powerful underdog", just because you're human, because A.) you've got the most blatantly played up physical abilities out of any character so far and can walk on walls, and B.) Lady exists, and C.) that's an oxymoron if there ever was one.
