Hey there!

You can call me Ariadne, Ari, Alexis, or Lex, whichever works. I'm in my early 20s and am from Southern Appalachia. I'm working on my Master of Fine Arts in Poetry and enjoy hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, photography, transcendentalist philosophy, espresso, Warrior Cats, and furries!

Experience-wise, I've been roleplaying since 2014ish?? I started out in the Warrior Cats fandom and for a while was a roleplay moderator for Kate Cary's blog, BlogClan. Since then, I've been both a participant and a developer for a handful of private roleplay servers on Discord. Additionally, I've been a DND player for about 3 years now. I've taken a break from RP while I've been getting my Master's degree, but I missed the vibe and wanted to jump back in!

I write literary-style RP with a heavy focus on character development and long-form prompts. My posts tend to be long enough to max-out the character length on Discord with Nitro, haha. I myself use proper grammar // spelling unless my character speaks in dialect, and English is my first language (and subject of study), but I'm not too picky if others have spelling or grammatical errors in their writing and quite enjoy dialectal writing. I prefer RP groups as opposed to 1-on-1 RP. Genre-wise, I prefer academic settings, dystopian settings, and Appalachian Gothic settings. I'm particularly drawn to RPs that feature tangible, well-oriented settings and whose players focus on deep, profound character interaction.

I'm hoping to find roleplay groups that align with my RP preferences, as trying to discover new RPs on my own has been hit-or-miss. The dream is to find an academic RP server that is open to characters who speak in dialect or a dystopian RP server that is open to anthropomorphic characters.

I have a tumblr that aligns with my interests in Dark Academic and Appalachian Gothic aesthetics if you'd like to browse!

I look forward to chatting with y'all!
