I edited it... <_______>

But yeah, I'll throw a CS up.
Anyone interested in having a fight with my character please take a look at my new post.

Kurisa, I'm leaving the NPC in my post at the power level of a captain so the fight will be relatively tough for my character. If there are issues, let me know.

A day before, Kyoichi had opened up the scroll for the first time and read the first section of it. What it contained was a riddle. It spoke of an old place, filled with cherry blossoms. Kyoichi took to it meaning that he is going to one of the places his great-grandfather had visited as a younger man. For this would be the first step in his journey to reclaim the sword that was passed from one master to another.

Arriving at the temple, Kyoichi quickly scanned the surroundings. It seemed too peaceful. Too simple. He assumed that there would be many trials and tribulations along the way. For iron forged with fire will stand the test of time. He saw an old monk, sweeping and tending to the grounds by himself. He did not pick up and traces of reiatsu from the man so he assumed that he was exactly as he seems. Just an old monk who has dedicated his life to his temple. Walking by him, he offered the monk a small nod. To which the monk did not respond, but instead he just kept on sweeping at seemingly nothing.

Checking quickly that his scroll was still secured in his backpack, he placed his left hand on the pommel of his sword and stepping into the temple. It was dimly lit and the atmosphere was peaceful. Something irked him, however. As soon as he stepped into the temple, all noise and light from the outside world seemed to have disappeared. It was as if he stepped into a sacred zone created by some entity. He scanned the area again, not picking up a trace of reiatsu still. Skeptical, he heightened his senses and paced about in the temple...

(Now, I'm leaving the role of the monk up to anyone that wants to play a fight with my character. I'm setting the monk's power level to that of a captain. Play accordingly please ^_^ Otherwise, no restrictions on the fight other than the monk should be just that, a monk. I do not expect him to have a pistol for Shikai lol~)
@ The people that replied to what I said
Of course I understand that. From what I can see, Kurisa is ok with it thus far. So, this is just a case of miscommunication or lack thereof on my end. I apologize for that. I did not know something so simple would cause such uproar. Again, this character that I mentioned being as OP as OP gets will 99.9% never appear in any real story interaction so rest assured that the strongest shinigami in SS is still the HC.

In any case, now that that is done, I'll continue to work on my character.
@AbigailTenshiAgain, its only a brief mention. I don't plan on having him appear at all. Kurisa can very easily go "Old Man, you're losing your mind. Yes, you were a instructor, but I don't remember losing..." That would keep his reputation intact...
@Oblivion666 Hella antioxidants man~
@KurisaI never said the head captain is weak. There has never been any shinigami, as far as our knowledge of the canon is concerned, that has not been through the academy. Besides Yamamoto, who created the academy itself. However, we saw that Yamamoto is still 'mortal'. So, the fact that you're making it sound like your HC is this invincible figure that has never needed assistance is not sitting right with me. Now, I'm not trying to disregard the background you have set for this RP. This is your game and what you say can go.

My point is this. I created my character with the idea of him being a descendant of a long line of shinigamis. That is not too far-fetched. So, with that fact in mind, the patriarch of that long line of shinigamis is bound to be some sort of OP character. Anime/Manga logic dictates that. So, I don't plan on ever have my old Kuroda appear in the SS. According to my personal version of the story, he served in Squad Zero and has completely retired from all of that. Him and his sword spirit, along with the older members of the family, lives peacefully in the Rukongai. I merely put that 'letter' into my post because I thought it'd be kind of funny. To me, it shows that even the HC has a past. That he has gone through rigorous training just like the rest of the lot. It is there solely for shits and giggles. Like I said, I don't plan on ever having my old Kuroda appear in the story unless its by your request for some reason. I can't see why you would need a super old, super OP, character to appear anyways.
@Oblivion666He drinks a lot of tea. All those antioxidants are doing their jobs mate~
@PhobosWhy don't you dissipate M_M
@Kurisa

Sorry, didn't mean to throw the HC under the bus like that. But if he is 1245 years old, my original Kuroda is basically like 3~4000 years old...and just as OP as OP can get....so....
@Kurisa

Kyoichi, holding the scroll his great-grandfather had given him, approached the head captain's office. Within the scroll, held a note his great-grandfather had intended for the current head captain. In fact, his great-grandfather had served as adviser to some previous head captains, after the first shinigami war. They had asked his great-grandfather to serve as head captain some thousand years ago. However, being fed up with constant warfare and the stress of the job, he politely declined. His family and lineage would forever serve the Gotei Thirteen, however.

Being the newest generation from the Kuroda family to join the Gotei Thirteen, Kyoichi knocked on the head captain's office before he entered. Seeing as it was empty. He simply dropped off the letter, having no idea what it read.

The content of the letter is as follows...

~Dear Captain Hotaka

This is Kuroda Kenshin. I assume you remember me. Seeing as I was one of you instructors back in the Shino Academy. How are you doing, child? Been practicing your Hitosume: Nadegiri? I don't want to have to come around and embarrass you around your soldiers now. Also, Hiryu says hi to Mizueien Tsukiaisu.

In any case, I'm sure you're aware that one of my descendants have joined the Gotei Thirteen. His name is Kuroda Kyoichi. He is the Lieutenant of Squad Eight. I've heard about the recent events involving that squad. It is natural for him to hunt for the person that killed his captain in cold blood and bring them to justice. However, I also know that that squad is short on members right now. What I ask of you is to let him go. I'll send my son, Kuroda Sengoku to tend to the squad in his stead. Remember him? He beat you in a duel a few centuries ago... So, you know he can handle leading a squad in these relatively peaceful times. Kyoichi should be getting ready to leave within a few days of you reading this letter. So Sengoku will be there to tend to the squad a few days after he leaves. I hope you can accommodate an old man's requests. I'm sure Kyoichi will return, and return stronger than he was before. He'll answer to me if he does not..

Sincerely,

Master Kenshin. ~

Leaving Squad One, Kyoichi returned to Squad Eight, which is basically empty now. After the killing of the captain, existing members came up with all sorts of excuses and relocated themselves to other squads, leaving Kyoichi basically alone. Doing one last sweep of the squad grounds, Kyoichi made sure his captain's office was locked securely and his own quarters as well. He packed a few simple things before closing the barrack downs behind him. With his sword at his hip, the scroll in his backpack, he set off to find the man that killed his captain.
@KurisaThey'll only support....for now...if they need to be used for main story purposes, I'll talk with you about them first.

Also, can I have like... Kenshin the First show up at the tea shop for some unrestricted fighting fun? He is old AF but he is...probably transcendent class by now...if not even above that...
