Background: Ryu was the first child of her family to be born in the United States, making her a first-generation American. Her imagination and drive have been strong since the moment she could talk and that made her a handful for her parents. Her father was a prominent businessman whose wealth afforded Ryu everything that she could ever need while her Mother worked at home to take care of her. She never fully understood what exactly her father did but it involved a lot of moving around in the first years of her life. Each move meant leaving her friends and her life behind only to redo it all again in another city. Eventually, she stopped trying all together.
Left mostly to her own imagination , Ryu developed a fabricated reality in which she was the reincarnation of a powerful and ancient demon called Akumi. She believed that once she fully inherited the demon's power, she would punish the world of mortals. No matter what her parents tried they could not break this veil that fallen over their daughter. Despite this, Ryu still excelled in school and was always at the top of her class. Eventually she joined the soccer team as a last attempt by her parents to give her an interest besides this demon. Ryu shocked everyone with her ability and competitive spirit, though her grim and sometimes eccentric personality made her no friends.
Eventually the Izuhara family settled down for good but the damage to Ryu's mental state was already done. No amount of therapy could break the demon's hold on Ryu's mind. They all said to simply let her fantasy run its course and she would eventually grow out of it, since it did not affect her education or physical health. It was not until high school that she finally found a group of people willing to tolerate her. It was in online gaming that she found a community of people that were willing to endure her nonsense and even humor her at times.
No matter what game she played, Ryu was always at the front. Her avatar a representation of what she believed to be . The announcement of Talrae was a hot subject for her group for months leading up to its release. For Ryu, it was a chance to become an actual demon (at least through cosmetics) and fully live her delusion. Talrae would feel the wrath of the demon Akumi and beg for mercy, .
Post Floor 1
What should have been another glorious victory for the erratic demon turned into a soul-crushing cataclysm that shattered what remained of her humanity . Akumi gained more control while Ryu slipped further into the sanctuary of her mind, harboring a phantom of her close friend Karuu. Upon entering the first floor, Kira slipped away amidst the chaos to venture on her own for a short time. It was during this period she fanatically engaged other players in 1v1 duels, often by force if they did not comply. This period of fury came to an end when she encountered a party led by a silver-haired archer. After a brutal, close defeat at the hands of their red-haired assassin, she decided to go back to the guild. It was time to .

I think that would be the best way. If one of the first four jumps out, then their spot goes to the next in line. After the rp starts and if I open it up to more people, it would be whoever submits a CS first.
I'll clarify more when I put up the base CS sheet, but there are a few exceptions and rules I'll say now. Any of the spirit races like the 'Undine' are not available. Everyone will be starting as fresh, level one adventurers however that doesn't mean that everyone has to have the same level of training. That will be up to you, but it won't give much power in the grand scheme of things. For the most part, as long as you don't break any lore/mechanics and are reasonable it should be fine. The start is going be tough. Jobs/Classes/Positions will be up to you. If you want to make medicine in your spare time, go for it. If you want to smith weapons, be my guest. The only thing that is set in stone is you must venture into the dungeon. The RP will start with everyone having been recruited. I'm on the fence whether everyone will be heading straight to the dungeon or having a meeting first with the goddess and later the guild.
@ERode There is going to be a bit of RPG mechanics but its not going to be the focus. People will have stats, skills, funds, and abilities but its not going to be the focus. Its mostly to keep record of everyone's progress and check to see if what someone is trying to do will actually work. Like the in the series, stats will go up depending on how you fight in the dungeon. There probably will be a couple timeskips, but I will be employing a special skill like Bell's. Basically, the more of you that fight together in the dungeon the faster your stats ans skills will grow.
"A long, long time ago, we gods came to this world. The world of you, our children, seeking excitement. And we decided that we would live here with you forever in the lower world. We decided to seal away our divine power, and enjoy life with all the hardship and inconvenience that it entails. We can offer you only one thing: the power to fight monsters, what we call our blessing. The children given this power become our servants, our familia."

"When you’re just starting out, put all your energy into surviving. No matter how pathetic you feel, or how people laugh at you, if you come back alive, you win.”
The grand city of Rezion. The city of adventurers. People across the land come seeking adventure, glory, wealth, and a place to call home. Authority of the city rests in the hands of the Guild, a organization headed by the powerful Izanagi familia. They do their best to maintain order as well as oversee the dungeon that lies at the heart of the city, the source of the city's prosperity. Those wishing to obtain a piece of that wealth first need to join one of the many familia that exist within the city, some more powerful than others. However, the dungeon is not for the soft of heart or the weak of will. The dungeon will challenge adventurers from the very first floor and it is not uncommon for new adventurers to meet their ends on the first few floors. Of course, the dungeon is not the only attraction within the city's walls. There exists a number of master artisans and craftsmen, musicians and actors, as well as doctors and inventors. The bounty of the dungeon provides for many, but at a great risk.
One of the the familias within Rezion is the Amaterasu Familia. Early in the city's history the familia was quite prominent and well-respected. However, as time passed the familia grew smaller and smaller as people drifted from the ideals the goddess championed until only one member was left: a wise and loyal adventurer by the name of Solome. Blindness and age had stopped him from venturing into the dungeon but he made it his mission to recruit new members into the familia that had given him everything. His efforts were not in vain as he managed to find promising, aspiring adventurers that had what it took to bring the familia back to greatness.
Time will only tell if these new adventurers can save the familia from ruin. First, they must survive the trials of the dungeon for it does not take pity on no one. The dungeon is even more dangerous than normal with reports of strange anomalies occurring on a more regular basis. It is a phenomenon that the even the top familias have yet to understand. No matter the circumstances, it is the destiny of adventures to venture into the depths of the dungeon. Through your struggles, you shall find the strength to persevere.
Welcome to Rezion, Adventurer.
First, thank you for taking the time to look at this interest check. This RP is an alternate universe take on the DanMachi series, also know as 'Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?'. Players will starts as new adventurers recruited into the Amaterasu Familia and will have to work hard to increase their own power as well as the power of the Familia. As of now, there are only to be four spots for players in order to keep things more manageable for myself. I currently have the rough skeleton of the world written down but I'm waiting to see if people are interested.

Chari stood in position overlooking the seemingly endless sea of green before them, refusing to look at anything beyond what lies ahead. She was bitter about the events of last night as with it eroded any illusions and hesitations she had been harboring about Beacon. There was not a chance she was going to play bystander again. How that girl could be so cheerful the day after eluded her. Lily had leaked some information about this but she hadn't realized that teams would be chosen so haphazardly. If the first person she sees out there is one of those assholes from last night...No! This was no time to worry. She would survive anything thrown at her. Failure was not an option. Landing strategy? Hah! She would adapt on the fly, like always. Press forward and never look back. Ever.
She bent her legs readying herself in the few seconds before the pad launched into her into the air. All of this was insane, but that's why Beacon had its reputation. This was how she always imagined flying would feel. Soaring high above the rest of the world cutting through the wind, not in some giant tin can. Her head fell out of the clouds as she did and Chari readied her lance with a steady breath. She overclocked the tiny thrusters as her feet came close to the top of one tree, drastically slowing her descent as she slipped through the sprawling branches. Finally her feet landed onto a branch big enough to support her and she made her way down from there. However, the maneuver played havoc with her weapon's thrusters. A quick check revealed they had overheated which meant they were useless until they cooled off. It was fine. She had no issue wielding her weapon without them.
It was time to make her way to the temple, wherever that might be. Each step she expected a grimm to charge out of the dense brush but she was equally anxious about running into someone. At this point, she would prefer the grimm. The young huntress's footsteps came to an abrupt stop as her right ear twitched with the faint sound of a voice. Following the direction it was coming from, Chari came across a particular blue-haired cyborg in a small clearing. Her eyes widened as she approached from Violet's blindspot just as she began talking to no one at all. From the sound of things, It was quite the conversation. Chari wasn't really sure if she interrupt or just get away while she still could. After all, they didn't exactly lock eyes right? Her right foot took a step back ready to slip away from the crazy before her, but she couldn't do it. This girl was going to get eaten for sure without someone to watch her back.
"You must've really hit your head when you landed, huh? Chari said plainly, leaning against her lance hoping she was not going to regret this. At the least, she wasn't one of those clowns from last night or miss princess. SHE did seem to know a thing or two about machines. Maybe she could help with Sovereign Right's overheating. Chari lifted her lance and rested it against her shoulder as she stepped closer, her other hand laying on her hip. She did her best to offer a small smile, but she wasn't sure her lips move at all "Chari." She hoped that was good enough? Chari always hated introductions.
