Ever make a mistake so bad, that it hurts every time you just think of it? Ever wish you could go back in time and fix everything so you didn't hurt the one who matters most? Yeah, me too.

Bio

Do not go gentle into that good night
By: Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

The girl was thankful that the other girl had agreed to guide her. She was most certainly going to need to learn where to go and her way around the camp before being able to easily get around. For that part, she was definitely going to need this other girl to help out by showing her around and where to go. She hoped there wasn't many stairs, steep hills, or at least that there were paved paths around the camp. Otherwise, that would make things become very difficult for her to learn her way around and certainly for her to navigate without instantly falling on her face and otherwise making a fool of herself. That was absolutely something that the girl dreaded, making a fool of herself in front of these new people. Enough already made fun of her for being blind, she didn't want to give any prospective bullies here even more o a chance to make fun of her.

Then she heard the sounds of hooves approaching, Jade immediately wondering why somebody decided to come up and greet them on a horse. Was it to show off how cool they were, or the cool things you could do out here? Then the man, judging by his voice, started speaking towards the group. He introduced himself as Chiron and remembering what she had learned about camp a strange thought crossed her mind. Could this be... the Chiron. As in the centaur from all those myths, here, at this camp in long island. After everybody finished speaking, Jade immediately blurted out the question that had been plaguing her mind since the man had introduced himself. "Excuse me? Do you mean you're Chiron, like the centaur from all the myths?" She asked, figuring that the answer was probably pretty obvious if she had been able to see.

The girl continued with her death grip despite being reassured the whole ride that she would not fall off. Jade not being overly fond of falling through the air to an inevitable demise at meeting the ground. At some point, there was definitely a scream as they hit a particularly windy patch of air. Not that Jade would ever admit that it was she who screamed, her pride would only allow for so much. With all those thoughts in mind, however, there was also the fact that the feeling of the wind whipping past her face and flowing through her hair was pretty amazing. In a way, the girl wished that this would continue forever.

However, their ride did not last forever. Soon enough the chariot noises changed as they slowed from flying and she clearly felt them slowing down. The sounds of wind were replaced by the sounds of the wheels against the ground. Soon enough they came to a complete stop, and the girl took a slow step back out of the chariot. Unfolding her cane, she felt around to make sure she wasn't about to walk off a cliff or something before speaking in the general direction of the chariot. "Are we at that camp now? I don't really know where to go so if somebody could guide me that would be like super awesome." She asked in a polite tone, though it was fairly obvious that the girl was nervous about the whole situation.

Jade was about to ask what was going on with the whole situation when she heard the explanation of Pegasi, and her head snapped in the direction of Kristin. "Wait. Pegasi, like flying horses? Are we gon-" She started before the chariot jolted forward and took to the air. The blind girl let out a loud yelp of panic as her grip on the chariot turned white-knuckle. She was terrified of falling out of this damn thing before they reached the camp they were heading towards. Why the hell did this thing not have any seatbelts!? Somebody could fall out and hurt themselves, or worse! Jade frantically thought about all the bad ways that this ride could turn out in the opening moments of their flight. She wasn't ready to die by falling out of a thing dragged by flying horses yet! That was simply insane!

The girl's fears quieted in a few moments after she began to think them, however. The wind roaring in her ears seemed almost calming as she realized that she wasn't rocketing out the back of whatever the hell she was standing upon. She could feel the cold air against her face, the scents carried upon the wind tickling her nose. It was an interesting feeling to be flying through the air like this, something the blind girl wasn't used to quite yet. Sure, in Vegas they had those roller coasters on top of the Stratosphere that she went on with her friends but this... this was something else entirely. She was certainly having any doubts in her mind about the camp or this whole Greek Gods thing erased every second that they were flying along.
Anastasia "Ana" Korolev

Moments after the girl threw the two Cruxi, she seemed about to turn and attack the pouncing beast. However, the Tayna stayed suddenly still for a few moments as if she had frozen up. Inside the enormous machine, Anastasia had felt something... else deep within the Tayna's machinery. Something that the comforting presence that was normal when she connected to her framewerk found utterly disgusting. The physical disgust and surprise of another entity had caught Anastasia off guard, but also caught the girl's curiosity. Before she could completely call out to the other entity, a crushing pain tore through her body. Anastasia cried out in pain from the surprise attack, unable to even focus past this new feeling to do anything before her display was suddenly covered in orange blood. As it was wiped away, she saw Irina standing over the headless corpse of a fallen Cruxi beast. However, it was the girl's words that haunting the young android's mind. Freak. That was what she called her. Why did humans have to be so damn mean!? For a brief moment, Anastasia wondered if the Cruxi were the evil ones in this war. They at least didn't seem to hate others among their ranks, though she supposed that was difficult with being a hive mind and all of that. Still, Irina's blatant racism towards her was making Anastasia start to understand having such a blind hatred for humanity. Letting out a long sigh, the android knew that she had to focus on the mission or she wouldn't make it back to one of the few humans she felt she could trust unconditionally. With that in mind, Anastasia forced herself to focus as she scanned the HUD before her as she floated in the Tayna's cockpit. "Shut it, bitch." Anastasia growled over the comms that Irina had opened whenever she had slayed the Cruxi beast.

Analyzing the battlefield, the girl realized she was really not in a preferntial position at the moment. "Laying down cover fire. Hit them hard, Neo Angel!" Ana said towards the one who had requested help in return for destroying the cruxi units earlier. "Tayna, charge drives!" Ana said after turning her comms off, wanting to keep the nature of werk's system a secret. Sure, she was about to show the team exactly what the mysterious alien technology was capable of doing, but they wouldn't know why it was quite capable of doing what she was about to do. Firing her antimatter rifle towards the enemy units to draw their attention, there wasn't much attention paid to precision. Instead, Anastasia focused most of her processing power on the charging anti-gravity drives. The intention being once the Cruxi returned fire, to fire the anti-gravity and hurl the werk out of the way of the incoming fire. Hopefully, this plan would allow her to draw enemy attention until Neo Angel was able to fire off the shot on the turtle in the back. With luck they would destroy the damn thing and head home soon enough. She wanted to give Irina a piece of her mind, preferably via a fist to the face. That damn little brat probably knew that Anastasia hated being seen as some freak, yet always felt the need to call her one or act like she was something completely different from everybody else. The android was quickly starting to understand exactly why everybody seemed to have a general dislike of that girl.

Moves/Attacks:

> Tayna charge Anti-Gravity drives for a dodge maneuver to the right once enemy shots are fired.
> Tayna provide covering fire for Neo Angel, aimed at B4.
> Ana wonders wtf she felt in her Werk

The girl wasn't sure what was going on with everything. It sounded like they were saving more people, but before she could ask what was going on Jade was once more distracted by a familiar voice approaching. "Jade, I want to tell you about the camp you're going to. I used to go there myself before I died." The voice whispered in her ear, then launched into regaling the girl with all sorts of stories about the camp, the recent battles, and heroes. One by the name of Percy Jackson, and the events that go on around the camp. Stories that occupied her mind and kept her from moving much from the chariot while the others got onto the chariot.

The ideas of what could happen at the camp raced through her mind now. Sure, the whole thing about the Earth itself being some evil goddess that tried to kill them all was pretty scary. Yet at the same time... the concept of magic, like real magic was possibly the coolest thing that the young girl even conceive of in that moment. The girl wondered if she could regain her sight... or fly! Maybe she could cast fireball or shout 'You shall not pass!' at big monsters and blow up stuff to stop them. The blind girl practically was bouncing in the chariot in anticipation for the camp.

Truly, the twi'lek was starting to wonder if she had somehow gotten a scent that attracted idiots. First, she snuck onto this ship, and then was surrounded immediately by strange people who seemed to flow out of the woodworks. Very different people from different backgrounds, and yet all of them seemed to be drawn onto this single ship. However, that wasn't even the end of the stupid people showing up out of nowhere. The boy she had called for backup, the one from her previous job, showed up and instead of doing what anybody with more than three brain cells would do and try to negotiate, the dumbass shot into the hold. The hold of a ship in a port known for criminal ties. The hold of a ship in the port that banned weapons. The hold of a ship filled with people who were clearly armed. It took all of her mental energy not to turn and immediately call Dak a moron. Even as the chaos broke out all over the place, Brin backed up slightly as blaster bolts flew all over and the lights turned out. She debated the merit of running, but with that damn Jetiise nearby, she was certain that she wouldn't make it far before somebody turned and tried to gun her down. So for now, she stayed in place as the chaos of the hold utterly erupted and took over the hold.

However, the magnum opus of absolute idiocy showed its face mere moments later when the man in armor she didn't quite recognize, yet looked similar to the stormtrooper armor threw a thermal detonator. At what was literally just one boy and his damn dog. However soon after that, a woman appeared behind Dak with a knife to his throat, and the grenade was flung out of the hold. Another? Brin thought to herself as she saw the woman who had clearly just used the force to throw that grenade out of the ship. As things seemed to begin to clam down, the girl felt she could finally relax and move from the place she had taken behind the droid that had found her. Might as well let it get shot instead of her, right? Looking around at the crew of what she could only assume was not made entirely of idiots, likely led by a single quasi-intelligent person, Brin thought up something that might prove useful. Idiots served their purpose, as muscle or as peons in the great game of power. Just ask the Empire, the stormtroopers didn't really need much beyond a pulse to be recruited in and used to help conquer the galaxy. Perhaps these idiots might serve a purpose if she joined their little crew, worked her way up. Letting out a small sigh, Brin decided that whether or not she could learn to use these people it would be useful to possibly join them. Even if it were simply so she wouldn't get killed and could sell them out to the Empire later.

Looking up, she turned her attention towards the droid and how it referred to the woman who had just arrived, and how she gave it orders not moments after she was able to guess who might be the captain. Looking at the woman, it took Brin a moment to realize who it was. A small grin grew on her lips as she recognized the woman she had briefly flirted with before leaving the bar. Perfect. "Sorry for sneaking onto your ship, miss. If I had known you owned it I might've just asked to come home with ya at the bar. That being said, I'd like to make you an offer." She began, giving a pointed look towards Dak and the moron who threw the grenade. "How about, you hire me onto this wonderful crew you have here? Why? For one, I am actually capable of sentient thought, so I won't be doing anything like tossing a grenade in a cargo hold or firing blindly at a hold full of armed people. Secondly, I have a bit of experience getting information out of people they might not want shared. Surely we both know that information truly is power in this galaxy." She added, confidently taking a step forward as she looked over the crew all around her once more. "Whatta ya say, hire me and you can fire the dumbass over there who can't tell when one should throw a grenade?"

The girl heard a voice addressing her, then guided her onto a wooden structure. She went to turn but found a small wall directly before her. Moving the little fabric at the end of the cane to wrap around her wrist, she moved to feel the edge of the small wall. It was cool, smooth, and hard. Something she had grown to associate with metal. So whatever she was standing on was made of wood, but had a metal rim around the outside. "You're in a chariot, Jade. Grab the edges, I doubt they're going to hang around here for a bit. Once it starts moving, try to get to know these people, I am by no means exaggerating when I say the people you meet at a place like this very well may be the ones to save your life." The voice spoke off to her right this time, causing Jade to nod and mumble to the side that the voice had come from.

She gripped the edge best she could, hearing the sounds of fighting behind her made the girl a little nervous. She wanted to help, desperately, but she had no means to fight or help anybody. She barely understood the situation, and even with that couldn't be certain of the situation going on around her. Turning her head to point an ear towards the sounds of the others, Jade hoped to get a better idea of how everything was going. Yet, it seemed she would not really be granted a better understanding of the situation. The cacophony of noise from people talking, yelling, and whatever the hell else was going on only left her overwhelmed. Jade hoped at this camp there was some way she could reclaim her sight, or something. She had always hated feeling like she needed to be helped or was useless like this.

As her father suddenly stopped and mentioned the people from the camp she was supposed to be going towards, the girl stopped and turned her attention towards her father. He wasn't speaking, and she knew immediately that he was deep in thought. The girl wanted to run towards the people going towards the camp, maybe they could explain the whole thing going on in her life right now. However, her friend from earlier suddenly spoke from just behind her. "Jade. There are more monsters after them, run now or you'll get hurt!" The voice yelled at Jade as she quietly nodded then went and relayed the message to her father. She then tried to think of how to go about everything right now, thinking of an idea to get her dad to come with them.

Before she could speak, the man was already in action. He suddenly let go of her and ran back towards the car, grabbing the probing cane and shoving it into her hands. "Jade, they look like they're in danger. Get to them, they'll make sure you're safe and I'll meet you at the camp to drop off the rest of your stuff. Go!" He said with a frantic tone, already moving to get in the car and drive quickly in the opposite direction. Honking a few times, the man figured he could draw the monster's attention and outrun them in his car. Meanwhile the blind girl tried to quickly make her way towards the campers, following the sounds and using her probing cane to find her way towards the group. As she got close, the voice from earlier spoke once more. "Repeat after me!
Επιτρέψτε μου να έρθω μαζί σας, είμαι ημίθεος!"
He shouted, to which Jade immediately repeated, and found it weird that she somehow understood the saying. "Επιτρέψτε μου να έρθω μαζί σας, είμαι ημίθεος! Please, my dad was trying to get to camp but he's trying to lead away the monsters!" She called out, halfway hoping the group would decide to beat up the monsters and save her dad.

The girl held on tightly to her seatbelt as the car suddenly sped off. Not being used to going this fast, as her father usually drove pretty safely around the city. She tried to suppress the slight amount of panic coursing through her veins after their encounter and the sudden speed. She didn't let go of her death grip on the seatbelt until the car seemed to stop moving, something which somehow scared the young girl even more than speeding down the highway at reckless speeds. She wasn't sure how she was going to do anything in this situation. If there were monsters, does that mean they were after her? Would they threaten her father? Jade felt a shock of fear and unease race down her spine as she came to realization that her father might get hurt because of her. Should she leave? Run away from the car so they would at least get her and not her father? Deep seeded fear set into Jade's mind as she thought through the idea of just running away from her father.

"D-daddy? They're after me, right? S-should I jus-" The girl started before being cut off by the man in the seat next to her. "Don't even finish that sentence Jade. I'm not letting them hurt you." The man said firmly, before looking at the nearby school. Sitting out in the open parking lot still left them pretty exposed, and he was debating leading the two into the school. Letting out a sigh, he looked towards his daughter quietly for a few seconds. "Lets head towards the school nearby, Jade. If we can hide in there then we should be a bit safer from the monsters. More places to hide, and if we need we can run back out here. Don't let go of my hand the whole time, okay hun?" He said softly, before the two got out of the car and he took his daughter's hand to start leading her towards the building.
