Honestly, I think any attempt at trying to undo what people until the map is filled is pretty dumb and counter-productive. Once it is filled/the second age then some fighting over territory could be interesting
And I also think all the players need to start helping build the world.
The problem is there no incentive in this age to do world landscaping.
By the way the spider things that were created. Are they sentient (capable of building a civilization) or not?

I imagine that the eastern shore of Lake Amelia will be somewhat more dangerous and less habitable version of the region you created, a hybrid between our two areas. Motion to call it the Suffering Shore?
