Bio

Hello! I'm Jones! and if you stumbled upon my page, I must have struck your interest!

I like to think that I'm a storyteller. I joined this site to create characters, and worlds I can put myself in. Every post I make will be to the best of my ability, and I hope anyone who stumbles upon my name can see that :D

Just a few things about me if you couldn't tell already by just glancing at my profile haha:

-I LOVE anything Captain America or Marvel related

-I have been RP'ing for over ten years now so I got some experience

- I do my best to try and have a wide range of RP genres

-I'm mostly do 1X1's and Casual/advanced RP's

-I'm a 20 something year old male living in the Pacific North West in the good ole US of A!

- I love meeting new RP'ers and seeing what we can create together!

- I'm a sucker for romance <3

There are specific times of the year where I get bombarded with things so I might not be on for a couple days, and if that's the case I'm trying to let anyone know so they aren't left wondering.

But like I said I love it when people contact me and ask if I want to RP with them, or have an idea and want my skills, and odds are I love the same thing, so If anyone wants to collab just shoot me a PM!

Subjects I love to RP

-Anything Marvel Related, Especially Cap!

-The Percy Jackson Series

-The Witcher

-Avatar the Last Airbender

-Anything Sci-Fi

-Harry Potter

- 1X1 Romances

-Modern day life

-Star Wars

-Fairy Tail

Those are pretty much my go to's, but I'm willing to hear out any idea and think about it!

Here's an example of my writing to give you a sense of my "skill" I guess... I keep trying to get better and better so bear with me!

If you have any questions about my RP's, or future ones just shoot me a PM!

All of these people are amazing writers and friends and if you happen to RP with them consider yourself lucky! XD

and for a final note: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY, NOT A CHORE! I never want to put pressure on you, or myself and make any RP feel like you NEED to post, or have to force yourself to write. This is supposed to be fun, and I'll do anything to make sure it feels that way :)

It was moments like these... These small moments of bickering, the teasing, the angry curses that the translator system refused to translate. Was Raymond drunk? Extremely, but the scene laid out before him was one of the few that he truly enjoyed. It was definitely interesting to see everyone climb out of their shell in a way--well, except for Josk, who always acted like this. Raymond had never seen the Doctor like this, and he felt guilty for the feelings he got at the sight of her in his jacket (which he planned on winning back, by the way).

The crew bickered and trailed off from his question, which he didn't blame them. He took a long, slow puff of the cigar in between his lips, and let the crew member before him make his move. "I'd find some shitty job on the country side of Earth... I'd work my ass off until I had enough credits to find an antique store, and buy myself an old Human Automobile." He knew the crew wasn't listening, and with his quiet tone he doubted they even cared. He looked at his pile of "winnings" and at his hand again. "I'd work night and day on that piece of shit, and when I finally get it to work, I'd buy myself some beer, drive for hours until I couldn't any longer." He tossed in a couple coins, and tossed his watch into the pot. "I'll sit in the bed of the old rusting piece of junk, and I'd drink, looking up at the night sky, and all of those stars, knowing I'd never have to travel to them again..."

There was a lot he would do if he wasn't a prisoner on the ship. Like his modest Pilot stated, they could be dealing with a lot worse. The Marauders worked hard to get to this point, though. When Raymond became Captain, he was still treated like an animal, having to follow very strict rules and guidelines. He even had to fight some of his crewmates that tried to take control from him.

The truth was, he loved the Monroe. He loved his crew, and despite being forced to be here, he was glad that he got to meet these crazy people--

A voice rang through his head, which made him stop in his tracks, and look up, the smoke from the cigar filling his eyes. He was about to say something until the drunk words of Rae beat him to it, and very casually. There was so much going on in the room, from Josk's pheromones, to the smell of booze, and smoke, and now he was hearing voices in his head? Well, it wouldn't be the first.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that..." He looked at Rendyl, knowing he was going to sound crazy for even bringing this up. "Was... Was that you?"
Hey, @Nate1008! I'm glad this RP caught your interest, and I'm sorry that I left you waiting!

Everything @Akayaofthemoon said I completely agreed with.

The Crawl give me a creepy "Flood" vibe from Halo haha! Although it'd be interesting to see, they are also somewhat similar to the "Dread" characters Akaya and I created as the main antagonists of the RP.

Also, creating an antagonist villain would be difficult for pacing. There will be times where the crew isn't in immediate danger, like right now, and having that character put in would either force us to rush through character development moments, or having your character wait to post again.

I'm not opposed to another challenge for the Marauders, but I think the Crawl would be difficult to balance with what's going on, you know?

I suggest making "two" characters that are intertwined at that point. The main character that's a part of the crew, and a second one that's an antagonist and related to your main character (for example: Twins, and one of them was infected by a hivemind-like enemy that's trying to go after their sibling, since it feeds on their memory, maybe trying to get revenge on them for abandoning them).

Again, I don't wanna shut down your idea, but it's just not the direction Akaya and I wanna go with
Hey, when a bunch of misfits have nothing else to gamble, they result to strip poker.... we just have to make sure the Nark Committee members dont rat us out -.-
When Tony revealed Rendyl's real age, the Captain looked up in a bit of a wide eyed moment, and then it turned to a smirk as the linguist made his own comeback towards the pilot. Her youthful look and quiet demeanor led Ray to assumptions. There was a lot to learn from this mystery woman. Every part of him told him that keeping her on board would be bad for the crew... but when weren't they in danger? The whole purpose of this expedition crew was to be expendable. At the moment, it felt good to pull a fast one on the Galactic Committee. Tomorrow would be a new day, and that's when Raymond would interrogate their new crew member. He pulled out a cigar and gave it a small sniff, moving his eyes to Rendyl. "Forgive us, we're all a little tired and don't have the best social skills." Ray explained, tossing his part of the initial pot in.

He leaned back in his chair and took a nice puff of the cigar as the crew asked Ren what exactly she would be putting into the pot, since none of them were willing to let the new girl a fortune for free. Once again Ray's eyes lit up when an earring fell into the middle. "Light green isn't really my color, but it'll do." The Captain grinned. "Since Tango will be the least likely to cheat, he will be the dealer from this point on... I'd say good luck to you all, but some at this table don't believe in it, even after all we've gone through." And with that, Raymond tossed his bid into the pot.

----------------------

Raymond smacked the device around a little, his vision doubling, but eventually the old box started to play. The "night" on the Monroe had carried out, and a few of them helped themselves to a lot of that Tu'veerian bourbon. Needless to say that most of the crew was more than drunk, including the captain. "That's better. Who's still in?" Some of the crew had lost their money to put into the pot, so the humans on the crew offered a strip poker option. Fortunately, not many had to lose too many articles. Raymond had lost his jacket and shoes, but managed to win back a small pot.

At this point it was much less about Anderson's chores, and more about pride, and to some, the challenge of the game. Raymond's left hand wasn't shaking too much. "I'd love to see the look on the Council's face if they saw us now. Plastered, drinking and smoking contraband and gambling on a Committee issued ship. They don't give a shit when we do what they ask, but as soon as we start acting up they throw a fit... If you guys could have one day of freedom... One day where no one told you what to do or how to do it, how would you spend it?" He wasn't sure if anyone at the table would answer. After all, they were playing poker and this could have been some sleezy trick. At the same time, Raymond doubted he would remember much of this night.
Hey guys, I just got back from my trip to Florida. It was a week of celebration, drinking, and remembrance XD I managed to spend a couple hours alone on the beach at night with a rum and coke in my hand. It was tough but I feel more at peace with her passing and all the stress going on. I’ll be sure to get to work on the thread tonight :)
Hey everyone,

I know I’ve been gone for a little while, and you all probably hate me haha. Every time I feel like I’m back in control of everything going on, another obstacle shows up. I’ve been working hard and studying for my degree for the past few weeks, and didn’t really have time to get back on.

And on Thursday once I finished my finals, I got a call from my dad saying that my grandma passed away. She made herself a rum and coke late at night while my aunt and uncle went to dinner, and they came back to find her on the floor. Paramedics said she wasn’t in any pain, and our family knew that she has been wanting to go for a while now.

I’m absolutely not trying to make you guys feel sorry for me or to feel bad for me, just trying to explain why I’ve been in and out of the site for quite some time now. I’m flying across the country for her funeral, and once that is done, I’ll be back on the site officially for a while.

For everyone that’s stayed with the Marauders, I fucking love you all. I love this story and plot and I’m sorry I’ve had to put it on my back burner.

You guys are amazing, and I plan on catching up later today so we can see where we can take this RP, if you guys would allow me to come back.

Thanks again
Dev was the first to speak up, and Ray couldn't help but smirk at his comment, but before he could even bring up his own challenge, Valanx approached and sat down. He tossed in a more elegant comment on Lady Luck. It was much better than what Ray's comment would have been. He watched as more and more of his crew started to step up and sit down at the table. Anderson would have been proud to see so many of them joining forces to making poor gambling choices and drinking.

When Rae appeared and gave her own comment, the Captain laughed and shook his head. "And that's why, Doctor, that people like you are banned from casinos on Earth. To them, your money should all be left to chance." He put down the cards, waiting for the crew to appear at the table, and picked up the bottle of Tu'Veerian bourbon. Tango's physical form had appeared to bring glasses. Ray then poured himself a glass, and downed its contents, giving a slight cough. "Shit..." He managed to say.

Now that he had calmed his nerves a bit, Raymond slowly dealt the cards. He nodded a thanks to Tony as he dropped the cigars on the table, and when he called out to deal Rendyl in, the Captain only glanced up at tony, then at the girl, then back down at the cards he was dealing. "I think there's an old story about that. Being dealt a hand of cards by a group of cutthroats and murderers. It's like signing your fate." Raymond knew that Anderson wouldn't want any ill will towards this woman... It seemed she was just as confused as the others.

"Welcome to the Marauders, kid... Teach her how to play fast, because the name of the game is Texas Hold'em, and no you don't need to know anything about Texas to play." He tossed the group their cards, placing down the couple in the center and laying the deck down. "Not only does the winner get the pot, but they also don't have to do their share of Anderson's chores."
It's been a long time coming, but I finally got my post up! I had a lot of writers block, but I hope it was worth the wait!

You guys are awesome!
"Were I not a devoted servant of the Committee in oath and in spirit, I would comment that the councilwoman has all the vibrancy and creativity of stale rainwater, but as it is I would not dream of disrespecting the esteemed councilwoman."

Aamara's words actually made Raymond laugh. It was strange to think that after all that had happened today, and what he did, that he would suddenly be in a such a bright mood. Maybe it was because he was exhausted, maybe he was too used to it... Maybe both. Maybe he just didn't care anymore. Either way, he was glad that the Security Officer was starting to catch on to the banter. It was as if they were all employees talking crap about their managers. Except their bosses ran the galaxy, and could quite possibly send most of them to prison. "Hey, that's an insult to rain water everywhere... You'll have to give them all the respect, I'm not going to be too happy with them."

Raymond waiting for the Security Officer to enter the communications room. They both stepped on the metallic plate on the floor and with a press of the button, like-like holograms filled the room, all tinting white. In front of them was the Galactic Council. Some smiled, some frowned, others simply looked on.

"Captain Chase." G'Pol, the Chairman said lowly. Raymond put a fist over his heart and bowed out of respect. The man had approved of some of Raymond's actions in the past. He knew the side effects of war better than anyone on the Council.

"We just read the report that Officer Tulez submitted." Felix Copper, the Human Representative said. "We understand that the crate was successfully retrieved from the Ulnar?"

"You read the report, Councilman. We found it. With a cost."

"Was the crate damaged?" The Yhei Councilwoman asked.

"Yeah, it was crushed when the Ulnar crashed into our ship and killed the Loadmaster, Eli Anderson--"

"What do you mean it was crushed?" The Forgei Councilwoman and Raymond's least favorite out of the Committee, Bruma spoke.

Raymond clenched his fist to stop it from shaking. "It was destroyed as the Ulnar tried to retrieve it from our docking bay. Anderson risked his life for it, you know. Because he thought it would mean something."

"Please, Captain Chase. How many loadmasters have you had before? He's just a casualty--"

"He had a daughter. He was going to get out of his sentence with Admiral V'Sul's authorization--"

"The box, Captain. How badly was it damaged?" The Furtim spoke quietly. Raymond shook his head. "Enough for us to figure out what was in it." He paused for dramatic effect. "A whole lot of nothing." Some of the Council shifted in their seats. Raymond glanced at Aamara for a second, telling her to play along for now. "You read the mission debrief. I sent what was left of the contents to our science officer for further analysis. There was a lot of metal, glass, and organic residue. With all due respect, what the hell did you guys make us risk out necks for? Some ancient artifacts, some ancestral burial vases?" In Raymond's defense, he wasn't exactly lying about the contents.

"Captain Chase, are you certain that this was the right crate we assigned?" The human councilman spoke once again. "Do we normally mess up, Sir?"

"do you want me to count the ways you have?" Bruma scoffed. "it wasn't me who messed up this time, councilwoman. A good man died going after this box. He wasn't like us."

G'Pol cleared his throat, and looked at Aamara. "Is this all true, Security Officer?"

Raymond let her answer, looking around at the holograms. They didn't need to know the specifics just yet. Something was very fishy about all of this, and he was interested in why exactly they wanted to risk political scrutiny for human trafficking. It was an old instinct that told him to hide Rendyl's status for now. A few more questions for Aamara were asked before ultimately the Council hung up. As soon as they did, Raymond looked at his Security Officer. "Send the real report to the Admiral. Right now she's the only one I trust. Come on, we got other things to attend right now."

-----------------

Raymond entered the lounge to see everyone exhausted, angry, or both. He saw Rae cooking with was a rare thing to see, and Rendyl in there as well. The place was quiet, but Raymond made it to the center of the room, sitting down at the table, and rubbing his eyes. "I just want to say that these last couple of days have been hell on all of us... But at the end of it we nearly made the Ulnar go extinct. Yasaliah, that was some of the best piloting skills I've ever seen, Astrid, Dev, I don't know who else could have made a nuclear weapon in that time, but it'll be another legendary tale that they'll tell about us one day..." Raymond sighed and nodded. "Anderson would have been proud."

"He wanted it to be a secret until after the mission but... He was going to retire. After this mission. He worked something out with the Council, and Admiral T'Sul pulled some strings and he was going to be able to see his daughter again. He gave all to the Monroe. To us. He was rough and could smell like a Space Bear's behind sometimes but he managed to make a connection with all of us. I don't know about you guys, but to me he was a friend. I know I can lose my temper. I can scream, I can punch, I can call everyone names here, but Anderson wouldn't want that... At least, not genuinely. He'd want me to do those things after losing a hand in poker." He smirked slightly. He pulled out a large bottle of alcohol. "T'Veerian bourbon. Legends say its the best tasting stuff in the galaxy before it burns off your taste buds... I say we all grab a seat, all grab a drink, and play some poker and let our anger out that way. In Anderson's honor."

"Who wants to be dealt in? I gotta warn you, I've been practicing. Diaz, look in that cupboard real quick, I think Anderson hid some Forgei cigars in there."

Raymond listened to Valanx, a hand on his chin as he scanned the pod with his eyes. Everything he said reeked of black market, and the science officer just kept confirming the information. Everything was being run, everything was being analyzed and as much as he hated it, they had to wait to get some real answers. "Good work. Keep me posted on what you find, and don't be afraid to destroy this thing. Anything that's designed to kidnap girls is never a good thing." He waited a few moments to watch Valanx at work before an idea popped into his mind. "There has to be some sort of console on this thing, maybe hidden. How else would they activate the pod? If we can find that, you and Tango can trace back some locations, check in on wherever it went if they didn't wipe that motherboard... If it's black market, we can probably also find it's final destination." Ray knew that Valanx would be the man to find anything unusual on that console, if there was one. The chances were pretty high at this point. "Now if you'll excuse me, I got a date with a bunch of old polititians with a stick up their ass."

Raymond left the lab and immediately put a hand to his ear.

"Aamara, it's show time... A drink says Councilwoman Bruma calls me filth in front of my face." He smirked slightly. It was no mystery that the Forgei hated the Interstellar Expedition branch, and she hated Raymond even more. It was also good to see Raymond start to get back to normal, despite the exhaustion. Maybe they'll finally get a break. As Raymond walked through the hall towards the comms room, he couldn't help but frown at the way he treated everyone recently... Sure, he was known to be a hardass when they were doing their job, but that little girl struck a nerve, especially with Anderson's death.

"Attention Monroe Crew. Everyone will be meeting in the docking bay lounge in half an hour. That's an order." That was all he said. He hoped that his impromptu meeting would be something Anderson would be proud of.
