How's this?

Name: Xi "Jie-Jie" Xiu (习秀)

Origin: Timeline 47B (Khanate Earth)

Alignment: The Genghis Khan Memorial Guard - "Brides of Genghis" Division

Appearance:
A short, lean, but extremely fit Chinese/Mongolian girl (probably in her late twenties or early thirties). Her long black hair is tied back into a tight braid that runs down her back. She is clad in black police/military-esque gear, with pads on her arms and legs, as well as a bullet-proof vest. Her eyes have been augmented in some way, so that she never blinks. Her face is wide, flat, and plain.

Age: Undetermined (appears between 25 and 35)

Gender: Female

Species: Surgically Enhanced Human (enforced bones, chemically altered muscles, electronically altered nerves, reflexes, and mental functions)

Personality:
Xiu is cold-hearted and methodical to most, but very loyal and dependent on those she associates with. She views the new Earth around her with suspicion and confusion. She tries to uphold the virtues of her homeland, but is lost without officials to obey. Nothing truly excites her, unless she's asked about the emperor, or the emperors of old. She has a deep love of history, especially of her own country. Not being familiar with the history and culture of this new universe bothers her greatly. She seeks to return home. If unable to do so, she hopes to learn more about her new surroundings.

Background:
From a very young age, she was given away by her parents, to the Khanate Government, to be trained as a guard in service to the emperor. Her family was very poor, and this was a way for them to ensure that she would be fed and educated. Under the state, she was given an outstanding education, although full of political indoctrination and brainwashing. She developed a deep love for the state, and the will of the government. She was genuinely convinced that her government had never committed a wrong action in its history, and that all of the genocides were justified.
She was ultimately trained as a killer, to be both a political assassin, and security for the emperor. At this she excelled, rising to the top of her class in every field. Before long, she was put on the national stage, as the poster child for the "Emperor's New Khanate", a propaganda program that displayed the supersoldiers the empire was able to produce. When you're the largest, wealthiest, oldest empire in the world, you can afford some incredible technology and human conditioning programs. Xiu wasn't just a star student and government professional. She was a scientific miracle. Her team of surgeons were among the best in the world. They altered almost every aspect of her body, making her stronger, more agile, even more perceptive. The only thing they left unchanged was her face. They wanted the face of New Khanate to be a humble farm-girl, that the peasants could relate to. They didn't want the public to fear these soldiers, but cheer for them as they kept the nation safe, and slew all political opposition.
Her life continued simply enough, as a proud example of the government's regime. Within a few years, she saw less and less combat, and more publicity. She appeared on TV more often than she was deployed overseas. In all honesty, she preferred the combat. The public eye made her uncomfortable.
Then the rifts opened. When the first wave began, and entire sections of the city began disappearing, she was among the first called. Leading her task-force, they stormed the area, only to be absorbed into the rift.

Post-Harrowing Biography:
Xiu emerged from the portal lost. She was alone, in a foreign peasant-city, with no contacts. Her headset went dead. She wasn't even able to speak the language or read the signs. Eventually, she went wild, and broke into a government facility, hoping to find information she could understand. She was detained, and the government was preparing to examine her, when additional members of the Khanate Government began showing up through the portals. Upon realizing that she was among a larger group of officials from an inter-dimensional government, the government of China let her go. Instead, they worked together with the new arrivals, to translate their language and begin teaching them Chinese and English, the two dominant languages of Asia.
It was a heavy shock to Xiu, and all the Khanate officials, that in this universe, the empire of Genghis Khan fell apart, resulting in the micro-empires of China and Russia. In their own timeline, the house of Khan never fell, and the unified Khanate remained the largest, most powerful empire in the world.
Now, Xiu works with the few remaining Khanate officials who made it through the portals, to organize and house all the new citizens turning up in this alternate Earth. She also heads a new Chinese anti-crime taskforce, dealing with crime related to those from different universes.

Cullen glanced protectively over his brother's shoulder, at his inquisitive sister. Seeing that she wasn't in any immediate harm, he tuned back in to Keiran's latest rant.

"I'm telling you, we need to send a message to these fuckers, and fast. The longer we wait, the more we lose."

"Of course." Cullen responded plainly.

"If it weren't for Fallon, we could be setting something up right now, and have those bastards running by tomorrow."

"I know. I know. Don't worry Keir', this has been going on for a while now, and nothing horrible's come of it. As soon as we put our foot down, the greaseballs will be out with their tails between their legs. They're not lookin' for a fight." Cullen reassured his older brother.

"Not asking for a fight? They're on our fuckin' turf!"

"Yes, yes, and they're picking our pockets, not spitting in our faces. A quick kick in the arse, to let 'em know they've been caught, and we'll have our territory back."

"Don't you think we should retaliate?" Desmond chimed in.

This set Keiran off on another rant, about how the Cassidy's could get revenge. Anything from breaking some windows, to stealing a shipment of booze, to shaking down some shop owners under their protection. The possibilities were nearly endless. Humming and hawing along, keeping Keiran's attention, Cullen glanced over his brother's shoulder again. His sister was still there at the bar, and it looked like some sleaze was calling her over. He didn't look Italian, and wasn't dressed like a gang member, so Cullen shrugged it off... for now. He hopped back into the discussion.

"Now hold on boys. We don't want to start a fucking war here. We're cleaning up peanuts here, that's it, alright?"

Meanwhile, across town...

James McFinnegan was cruising down the street in his small truck, boxes of booze rattling in the back. Cursing quietly to himself, he mumbled off the address he was trying to find.

One of the boys went missing that day, and the shipment he was supposed to deliver got left behind at the docks. So instead of being at home with a glass of scotch and a cigar, short-tempered Jimmy found himself tumbling away through the heart of town, now completely lost, with a stack of illegal booze.

Where the hell was this warehouse?

He looked down at the label he ripped off the box, and read over it again. Then he glanced at the street sign. It didn't help that all the streets here were named.

"What the fuck's wrong with leavin' them numbered! How's a guy supposed to find his way out'a this shit neighbourhood!" he grumbled to himself.

Resigned to spending the night searching for this place, Jimmy slouched back in his chair and let out a sigh. To make matters far worse, Jimmy was met with the lights of a police car in his rear-view mirror. In a panicked sweat, he pulled over.
Meanwhile, my character is like... chilling in town... having lots of soup.

This is the blank map without any territories shown:

This is the geographical map which it's based on:

As for which areas area available, I don't know. Depends on how many players are still up for the game. Activity suddenly dried of right around I went away for a trip. Hopefully we were just both waiting for the other.
But to see that it's roll-call time!

"A fight? Count me in!"

"Everyone! Get in here!"
@Jotunn Draugr go by the list that is in OCC. Those are not choices in the game.
