And I did, which is why I made him a Demon Prince. One would assume the higher the rank of a Demon, the more likely they are to exhibit Demonic behavior, are they not? In any case, if it's a problem, I can change it. :)

I have a feeling Aster and Synth will be friends.

For one, Synth is part fallen angel, so that's gotta have some bonus points.

And two, he is really want to get a good look at those magazines. Only out of curiosity though.

Well that's comforting to know. :) I actually spent a lot of time looking at Synth's sheet, since my first idea was Shadow/Darkness Manipulation but naturally I decided to change it.

And I think the whole concept of racism has withered away in Aster's mind, so Synth probably wouldn't get any preference for being half-Demon.

So I've spent a good couple hours on this sheet, trying to make his Magic not as OP as it originally was when I first thought of it. I've also probably taken some liberties in regards to who he is and what he does but hey, you don't ask you don't get, right? ;)

Magic

Neutra: Moerumiraa ~ Blazing Mirror

An exceptionally rare type of magic. Aster has the ability to manipulate his own Mana in it's purest form which he calls; Pure Mana. Over the course of a few centuries of training, Aster's Pure Mana actually shows itself as a blue flame-like essence due to its sheer density. He uses his Pure Mana to shield and reflect most other forms of Mana which may be directed towards him. For instance, an Explosion-type attack would be shielded initially before being reflected back towards its' origin, though the reflected spell would be considerably weaker than the original. Illusions would have a weakened effect, being unable to simply pass through the density of his Pure Mana. Low level Illusions would be easily reflected back towards their origin, though they would have little effect against the one casting them.

Aster may also choose to focus solely on shielding or reflecting Mana. 
- When focusing on shielding, Aster may increase the area that is being shielded in a dome-like manner, essentially being able to protect an area the size of the academy from magical attacks for a limited time.
- When focusing on reflecting, Aster completely foregoes his shield in order to return spells back toward their origin almost instantly.

Alchimia: Nenshou Parusu ~ Burning Pulse

Another rare form of magic, discovered by Aster himself. After learning how to manipulate his own Pure Mana, Aster discovered that you could change the properties of all Mana using Alchimia on the basis that Mana contained different properties that could be altered in its' pure form than it did when used to cast spells. As such, Aster has theoretically invented a way to change the density of Mana in his surrounding area, essentially strengthening or weakening spells by injecting his own Pure Mana or withdrawing the Apparent Mana within a spell.

Practically, however, Aster has only been able to inject his own Pure Mana into other spells, strengthening them. He has not yet found a way to withdraw Apparent Mana. An issue which has remained a mystery to him for over a century now.

Strengths

Neutra: Moerumiraa ~ Blazing Mirror

- From a magical aspect, Aster is almost untouchable. For as long as he can remain focused and keep the density levels of his Pure Mana higher than that of any spell cast towards him, he can continue to shield and reflect almost all types of magic.

Alchimia: Nenshou Parusu ~ Burning Pulse

- Aster can utilize this magic to devastating effect in a support role, providing the density levels of the Mana he injects his Pure Mana into is a considerable amount lower than his own.

Weaknesses

Neutra: Moerumiraa ~ Blazing Mirror

- When Shielding, the larger the shielded area becomes, the weaker the shield gets. If his shield is ever broken, the loss of Aster's Pure Mana exhausts him far quicker than the standard Mana usage. It also takes considerably longer for Aster to recover from this enhanced exhaustion.

- When Reflecting, Aster's own Pure Mana takes the brunt of the spell's attack before sending the remaining Mana back towards its' origin. As such, particularly powerful spells are exceedingly more difficult to reflect and cause a larger drain on Aster's Pure Mana pool. Reflected spells are typically 50% weaker than the originally cast spell. 

- For both Shielding & Reflecting, more direct magic such as Contrito, Alchimia & Naturalis create more of an initial impact, meaning a harder, more instant draw of Pure Mana resources. Praestigiae, Pythones or Medela, however, have less of an impact but have a longer draw over time.

- Despite being almost impervious to magic, Aster can still take physical damage. Thus, he often has to cast his magic at range in order to prevent himself from being attacked directly. 

- Aster is unable to use this against other Neutra-type magic.

- Mana of a higher density than Aster's own Pure Mana can surpass his shield and reflection magic, meaning Aster would have to raise the density of his own for his magic to have an effect on those spells cast towards him or in the area. This applies to all types of magic.

Alchimia: Nenshou Parusu ~ Burning Pulse

- Aster is not yet able to withdraw Mana from outside sources.

- Aster consciously uses this magic to keep the density levels of his Pure Mana at a suitable point during usage. If he is forced to raise those levels beyond his designated 'Optimum Operational Point', the drain of his Pure Mana can begin to increase in speed and volume the longer he continues to use this magic.

- If Aster is ever fully drained of his Pure Mana through the upkeep of this magic, the ramifications will most likely be fatal. The best case scenario during this event would be that Aster is forced into a coma for an extended period of time.

Jaded - Aster is remarkably disinterested in the world, having lived for over four-hundred years. He's seen all kinds of magic during his lengthy lifespan, wielded by many various and different magicians. He refuses to acknowledge or entertain the idea of prodigies where magic is concerned. To him, anyone that would believe themselves such a thing is no more than a pretentious tw*t and he holds no regard for those who would bestow the title upon others.

Nonchalant - As a teacher at Liseranna, Aster is rather laid back when it comes to teaching. He refuses to become agitated by those who are not willing to learn or better themselves and only dedicates his efforts to those who try. The prospect of failure never bothers him, as he believes failure is just another hurdle one must overcome. His many years of experience have shown him that nothing is truly worth overworking yourself for.

Perverted - Like the old man that he truly is, Aster is secretly perverted. However, his young looking appearance does a lot to help him out where women are concerned. And although he is not as vivacious in his attempts to woo women or 'catch-the-odd-glimpse' as most other perverts, he most certainly will take up nearly every opportunity to sate his debauchery tastes whenever he can. Above all, four-hundred years has blessed Aster with the uncanny ability to guess the age of nearly every female he comes across and, so long as they are of the legal age, he can quite often correctly guess their various measurements.

Backstory:

One of the seven remaining Demon Princes of the Demonic Realms. He first entered the realm of Earth when he was roughly a century in age. At that time he was known as Lord Azhriel, The Devourer. He came to Earth hoping to learn more about Mana, due to his extremely rare form of magic. He traveled to the only place where he knew he would find the answer: Liseranna Academy.

Upon arriving, he requested to be able to study in solitude, stating that his goal was not to learn about the different schools of magic, but the actual properties of Mana itself. It took Aster nearly fifty years to finish an extensive thesis on his findings entitled, 'Properties of Mana: The Force Behind Magic.' His studies into Mana gained him popular renown throughout the world of magic and eventually rewarded him with a teaching role at the best Magical Academy in the world. 

He is currently the world's leading expert on the study of Mana.
