There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of incredible RP ideas that are wasted every year, due simply to a poorly formatted Interest Check. Shit's gotta pop off the screen and punch you in the face!

Original Roleplays:
Here are some Roleplay Ideas that I have attempted to run in the past but which ultimately failed because I'm a trash GM. If any one of these ideas interest you i.e. You'd like to assist me in running one or you'd fancy trying to run a game yourself, please do not hesitate to contact me first. I don't mind you taking inspiration but don't blatantly rip my shit off. P.S. I have several old threads archived, as well as PMs to myself, in order to stake my claim to these Roleplay ideas.

The Squad 1 Shinigami brought the Soul he found outside the gates to the Squad 1 barracks and after a maze like field only to end up in a large hallway they came to the doors of the Head Captains office. The Shinigami knocked on the door and asked if he may enter and once granted access he opened the doors then walked in escorting the Soul alongside him, he then stood in the middle of the room facing towards the Head Captains desk then got down on one knee, placed his left forearm across his stomach, then placed his fist on the ground and bowed his head before speaking "Head Captain. I apologize for disturbing you however I could think of no better man to bring this Soul to than yourself. This Soul here wishes to join the Gotei 13 but they did not follow the traditional methods of trying to enter the Shino Academy...I brought him to you thinking you would know what to do better than I in this situation...as you can see I took precautions...however the Soul seems as if he can be trusted...but that is something I truly would rather have you decide Head Captain" The Shinigami remained in the position he first entered as he awaited the Head Captains response " The Shinigami looked up to the Head Captain then bowed his head once more "Thank you Head Captain" The Shinigami then stood up and left the office leaving only the Soul and The Head Captain, The Head Captain stood up from his desk then walked around it and towards the Soul then he extended his right hand to the Kido cuffs and dispelled them "" The questions The Head Captain asked were really pretty simple...he didn't ask background questions or anything of the kind as most people that joined the Gotei had some shady sort of background...at the end of the day the original Gotei 13 were no more than Criminals and they were considered the strongest generation...
It took a while, but the Shinigami had finally led him to the Head Captain's office. He watched silently as the man explained to his superior about the situation and then proceeded to concentrate on the Head Captain himself. He'd heard talk of this man before, ignorant ramblings of drunken criminals claiming that they could best him easily in battle. That was usually just before Jinzo killed them. Other than that, he hadn't heard much about his exploits but he assumed that the man was strong, given his position. As the Head Captain rose from behind his desk and walked toward him, Jinzo had to fight against some strange urge to step backward. He frowned, commanding his body to stand still and resolute, even before a man of his stature. Aside from that urge, Jinzo could also feel the pressure of his spiritual power. It wasn't much, he could tell, but what was on show was so dense. He was definitely strong then.
As the man released the kido from around his wrists, Jinzo instinctively rubbed them. Although the kido hadn't left a single mark or proven to be uncomfortable in any way, his scars from before burned deeply. "My life until this point hasn't been so straight forward, Head Captain. Had I the chance, I probably would have gone through the academy just like everyone else. But destiny saw to it that I would receive my training in another manner, with every lesson a fight for survival. To kill or be killed in order to strengthen and hone my skills. This first-hand experience, I believe, is what makes me just as strong, if not stronger, than any academy student. As for this..." He placed a hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto. "..Be it a just a sword or Zanpakuto, I don't truly know. I took it from a group of men who attempted to sacrifice me with it and then slaughtered them all. Occasionally It speaks to me, just like the darkness does sometimes. Are they are the same voice? I don't know that either. But I have seen what lies inside it and I can tell you, it is no mere normal blade." He looked down at the black hilt, questions rising within him again regarding its origin. He pondered for a moment before answering the final question.
"As for the last question...If you would have me, I'd be honoured to join the 7th Squad. This is where my path has led me so far and that squad is where I will find the place where I am to go next."

The Squad 1 Shinigami used a special Kido that came in the form of cuffs which of course cuffed the mans hands together and would stop him using any Spiritual energy based techniques "You can keep your sword...if you are as trustworthy as you make out then there will be no trouble..." As the Shinigami stood outside of the large wooden gates a rather small man jumped down from the wall and landed infront of the gate, the two exchanged words then the small man lifted the gate with a single hand making it look effortless as they entered into the Seireitei, of course the second they got in Shinigami had gathered around a bit all eyes on them as they walked towards Squad 1.
Jinzo watched silently as a man jumped down from the wall surrounding the Seireitei, spoke to the Shinigami who was to lead him to the Head Captain and then opened the gate single-handedly. He was rather impressed by it all and it allowed him to quickly forget about the restraints placed around his wrists. Not that they hurt, however, it was just the feeling of being cuffed that made him feel more uncomfortable than most. As he willingly followed the soul reaper who'd found him, he soon noticed that a crowd of other Shinigami had come to witness the commotion. He remained calm under their scrutinizing gaze and walked on, looking straight ahead but still managing the odd glance left and right at the various different sights.
It was more relaxed than he'd expected it to be. Okay, yes, he was being brought in whilst being restrained, but that wasn't the point. He expected it to be busier, people rushing around, attempting to complete their daily chores. Lieutenants ordering their lower seats around left and right, raised voices, high amounts of chatter. Instead there were barely any reapers, compared to the stories of old. And the talking was kept to a low hush, though he suspect that his entrance was mostly to blame for that. It was only then that it suddenly dawned on him just how small the number of Shinigami there were.

The Shinigami kept his hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto as his eyes narrowed as he listened to the Soul speak, questioning why he had a sword...but if this Soul was telling the truth about wanting to join the Gotei 13 then he'd have to take extra precaution when taking him into the Seireitei "Very well...but if you want to even get anywhere close in the Seireitei then you'll have to be taken in there as a prisoner would...we cannot be to careful...once in the presence of the Head Captain then maybe...just maybe...you may be able to be released from the Bakudo...that's if he trusts you enough...are you willing to comply with this?"
Upon hearing the Shinigami's terms, Jinzo nearly laughed out loud. As if he could be a danger to-He was quick to remember his most recent display of savageness only a half hour earlier, slaughtering a pair of criminals that were attempting to kidnap a young girl. Bowing his head, he held out his hands in front of him. "If it means I get a step closer to joining up, then so be it." This was an unusual situation for him. Normally, he would have objected to the idea of being detained, chains weren't his favourite things in the world, but this time he gave himself freely. He looked down at his sword, his fingers itched to yank it from its sheathe and embed it deep within this Shinigami's chest but he could suddenly hear that familiar voice again, the same icy whisper that had told him to live all those years ago. He'd heard it a few times since then but he could never make out what it was saying. This time was no different, however, he took it as a sign to comply with the man. So that's exactly what he'd do. "Just as long as I get to keep my sword."

A Squad 1 member was patrolling around the outside of the Seireitei when he saw a random soul shouting at the gate which made him raise an eyebrow but he walked towards the soul then spoke "Hey! shouting at the gates wont get them open you know! you have to be a Shinigami to get in there! if you want to join then you are going about it the wrong way pal...but if you are here to cause trouble then..." the Squad 1 member then placed his hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto and continued what he was saying "I'll have to deal with you in a more brutal way..."
Jinzo turned to face the Shinigami that had approached him. He eyed the man's movements, noticing his hand moving to rest upon the hilt of his own Zanpakuto as he spoke. He could feel his heart beat a little faster, imagining himself leaping towards this unknown soul reaper and unleashing a barrage of vicious attacks towards him. But as quick as he'd thought of it, his logic had calmed him down. No, now wasn't the time to fight. Sometimes it took him a while to realize when the fight was over, that there was no longer any need to stand against someone. Fortunately, his own self-reasoning had kicked in before he'd acted.
He flicked off the remaining blood from his sword and then, continuing the movement in one flowing sequence, sheathed his Zanpakuto upon his left hip. "My apologies..." He began to reply, bowing his head slightly. "I can get a little carried away at times." He bore a nervous smile, attempting to diffuse any tension in the air. "But I can assure you, I have every intention of joining the Gotei 13, not fighting it. Is there any way you can help me with this?"
Jinzo stood before the large wooden gates of the Seireitei. Five days had passed since he'd begun walking, non-stop, from the 79th district; The place he called his home and, for many years, his training grounds. His Zanpakuto was held unsheathed in his right hand, still blood-soaked from its most recent slaughter of criminal degenerates. His body was riddled with the scars of his past and fresh blood, both his own and that of his latest opponent. The air around him stilled as he raised his spiritual energy levels a little, searching out other forms of reiatsu. He found nothing, however.
Still, he maintained his position and raised his reiatsu even higher, causing a slight disturbance in the air surrounding him now. "I am Jinzo Iaori!" He began to yell. "I come here to join the ranks of the Gotei 13!" He raised his voice higher, followed by his spirit level. "I wish to join the Seventh Squad and become the embodiment of Courage!" He raised both his voice and his energy one final time. "Any and all who would test my resolve, step forward!"
Jinzo waited for his answer. It didn't matter how long it took, for the darkness had already shown him his path. Back in that wretched room, lying on a sacrificial alter, half-dead and about to be extinguished fully. When he had peered deep into the shadows after all hope was lost and craved to be wrapped within their empty embrace. When a voice had called out to him, ordered him to survive, to become something greater. And for the past thirteen years, he'd accomplished just that. He'd evolved into a ruthless killer, a beacon of hope for the weak and helpless, a nightmare for those that would prey on the less fortunate.
Now, though, it was time to evolve once more. To advance into the upper echelons of life within the Soul Society, to undertake the mantle of the feared and the fearless. Today, he was going to become a Shinigami.
Rank: Unseated (Hopes to become 7th Squad Captain someday)
Spiritual Energy Colour: Royal Purple
Personality:
Jinzo has always been courageous, headstrong and valiant. He is usually the first to dive into trouble and the last to run from it. It is for this reason that most who know him, see him as the embodiment of courage. He willingly puts his sword behind those without the strength or bravery to fend for themselves. Jinzo utilizes his greatest attribute as a weapon in battle, morphing and transforming it into fear against his enemies. He laughs as they attempt to run from his all-consuming power and pummels them into oblivion.
Out of combat, though, Jinzo is markedly reserved. He prefers to maintain his composure, as opposed to being outright and obnoxious. Though his courage still manages to shine through his carefully place facade at times, Jinzo usually manages to keep his feelings in check. Despite this, Jinzo can be quite the conversationalist. Often enjoying meaningless chatter with his comrades and colleagues. He believes in strong friendships and healthy rivalries and is always willing to give others a helping hand.
Jinzo doesn't like to talk about his past, this is due to the trauma that he survived when he was merely a child. Sometimes he has quiet moments where he reflects upon these horrific events but usually he is quite an open person. Due to these events, Jinzo sometimes tends to experience homicidal thoughts, imagining himself attacking someone for barely any reason or to defend himself. He can be rather defensive in thought, but rarely does he ever let it show.
History:
Jinzo Iaori was born and orphaned within Kusajishi, the 79th District of North Rukongai. His early years consisted of thieving and crime to survive. Being merely a child, Jinzo wasn't able to defend himself from older criminals and he was often beaten and abused if ever he was caught. One night he was caught sleeping, exhausted from a day of running scared. A strange group of men had been following him discretely until he'd noticed them, which is when they started to chase him outright. He didn't understand why they would want him so he ran. And kept running until his feet gave way and he passed out from exhaustion. But the men weren't far behind and, whilst Jinzo was unable to defend himself, they took him.
He awoke in a dark room, sporadic noises kept him from sleeping. Sounds of scraping metal and distorted laughs haunted him as he sat in the darkness. When he finally decided to try and move, he found that he'd been chained to the wall and his clothes were gone completely, except for a loincloth to save his dignity. Then from nowhere, freezing water was thrown on him. He cried out, asking to be let free, begging for a reason behind his capture but nobody answered. Hours passed and more obscure tortures were dealt to his tiny, malnourished body. They had kept him from sleeping the entire time, forcing him to bear witness to the latest horror they would enact upon him. By the next day, Jinzo was a shivering wreck, unable to hear the squeak of a mouse without jumping out of his skin. They'd beaten and abused him and for no reason he could think of. He'd given up trying to ask why, but the torture only went on.
Then, what seemed like a lifetime later, there was fire, and lots of it. Jinzo was barely able to see, having lived in darkness for over twelve months. The fire was from simple candles places throughout the dingy room where he'd been kept. When his eyes finally adjusted to the light, he could see a stone altar, dried blood having dripped down it's sides. Symbols, written with more blood, covered the room. They depicted phrases of fear, darkness and death. Jinzo struggled to read them. A group of hooded figures entered the room, wearing skull masks that obscured their faces. Jinzo panicked immediately, desperately trying to scramble as far from them as he could. His chains, however, remained strong. They slowly moved towards him, laughs of evil coming from their horrifying faces. The men unchained him and then beat him, making sure that he didn't have the strength to move. Then, without care, they dragged him towards to alter and placed him upon it.
He was dazed from the beating he'd just taken, however, as the group on men began, what seemed to be, a sacrificial ritual, Jinzo took one last look around the room. He noticed a single corner, untouched by the light of the candles. He looked deep within it. For the past year, the darkness had been his only friend. It had both tortured and comforted him and he'd recently begun to feel a part of it. Now that he'd been thrust into the light, forced to take part in the reality that were his final moments, Jinzo longed to be back in the darkness, to feel it's cold touch and bask within it's empty glare. He began to close his eyes, accepting his fate and relinquishing his grasp on the darkness, when an icy voice called from the darkened corner.
"Live" It said. "Live and fear nothing, forevermore." Jinzo suddenly felt his strength return to him. Miraculously, his pain from the years of torture had numbed. For a single fleeting moment Jinzo felt invincible, as if the darkness itself had come to his aid. He looked up, noticing one of the hooded men stood above him on the alter, a katana raised in both hands, intending to plunge it down into his stomach. "Live" the voice said again. And he did just that.
Jinzo moved quickly, rolling to his left and falling off of the alter. He rolled into the abdomen of an unsuspecting ritualist, sending him to the floor. Jinzo lashed out immediately, caving the man's mask into his face using his balled fists. The room was in uproar. The man on the alter stood stunned as his blade clashed upon stone and jolted from his grasp. The katana clattered to the floor in front of Jinzo, who didn't hesitate to retrieve it. He swung right instinctively, using the blade's weight to cleave through the leg of an oncoming attacker. A scream of pain and a thud followed as he dropped to the floor. Jinzo didn't need to think, he just acted, defending himself against the men who'd imprisoned and tortured him in darkness for months.
Before long, they were all dead. Jinzo climbed a set of wooden stairs that lead to a single door. Using a key he'd found on one of his kidnappers, he opened the door and was met with a blinding light. The outside world. He stepped through the door, blade in hand, covered in fresh cuts, old scars and mixture of blood. He took one final look back into the pitch-black basement room and then walked off.
Many years later, he arrived at the Seireitei, with the same blade in his hand. He stood at he gates, ready to join the Gotei 13. He hasn't recalled his training to anyone and refuses to do so.
Other: - Jinzo can see clearly in the dark. - Jinzo is a rather decent cook. - He is currently learning Woodcraft.

Shikai skills: 1. Shadow Step Shadousuteppu - As soon as Jinzo releases Akuma in Shikai, he gains the ability to travel between shadows. The movement is almost instantaneous and, when fully mastered, can be faster than using Shunpo. This ability allows him great maneuverability on the battlefield and grants him multiple angles of attack. He cannot, however, step into his opponent's shadow.
2. Fear Me Watashi o Osore - When Jinzo attacks with his Zanpakuto, anything his blade touches begins to see shadow demons surrounding them. These demons are merely a distraction technique and cannot physically harm his opponents. (Lasts 4 posts. Has a 4 post CD after effects have worn off)
3. Embrace Darkness Yami o Ukeireru - When Jinzo activates this skill, he becomes enveloped in black smoke. This allows him to move at higher rates of speed without needing to use Shadow Step. His attacks become a lot faster and he also becomes somewhat harder to hit, due to the billowing smoke. He can't stay within this form for very long (4 Posts Max), however, and may only use it once per day.
4. Encroaching Fear Shin'nyū kyōfu - If Jinzo lands a hit on an opponent after activating this skill, they slowly begin to get tormented by what they fear the most. Hallucinations of this fear start to distract them and increase in intensity the longer the fight goes on, until they can no longer fight effectively. There are two possible ways of negating the effects of this skill. 1. By overcoming your fears before the duration of the skill ends. 2. By possessing and releasing such a high amount of Spiritual Energy that the illusions are distorted and the skill fails.(2 post activation, lasts for 7 posts, 10 post CD after effects have ended or opponent breaks free.)
