Saving the Princess

He was not thrilled that he had been chosen to represent the mages' guild. He didn't believe that it was because he was the closest match to the king's prophecy. Prophecies tended to be filled with riddles that could be interpreted any number of ways. He stormed through the castle ignoring the morons who scurried out of his way. He knew mage were feared by many. A few bad mages had given all magic users a bad reputation. Not that he cared. He preferred to interact with people as little as possible.

Eventually he reached the throne room. He stormed up to the throne not bothering to look around. He wouldn't be here long. The one good thing about being chosen was that he would be allowed to leave the kingdom. It would be to complete the prophecy which wasn't ideal but he would take whatever escape he could get.

Griffin headed in the direction of Astra's voice. She had gone in the opposite direction he had gone. Which was good. That allowed them to cover more area. It was hard to sort scents but he did pick up something. He wasn't sure what the scent was but he knew he had smelled it before. He looked around. "The shifter has changed forms. It could be anyone." He said studying the gargoyle. He was almost positive that she was the being he had come in with. But he couldn't be positive. Shifters were good at blending in. They're abilities made it easier for them to blend in than almost any species.

Just as Griffin reached Astra someone rushed him from behind. The being was almost as tall as he was. Hs couldn't see the person but they were strong which meant that it was a supernatural being. He struggled against the being but couldn't seem to get the upper hand.

Griffin left the captain to handle the people downstairs and in the near by buildings. He raced up stairs. Flames surrounded him. Breathing was hard but he pushed on. He opened every single door and made sure each person found the stairs. The longer he took the hotter it got bug he didn't stop until he had checked every room. Only then did he make his way downstairs.

Once downstairs he checked the few rooms downstairs. Flames were everywhere. He knew the place would blow any second. He could only hope that everyone was clear. He could hardly breath and could barely see. He stumbled towards where he thought the door was. Before he reached it there was a flash of light. He stumbled as there was a whooshing sound. The building exploded sending glass and bits of woods flying everywhere.

Roxy sighed. "Have any of you even been in s real fight?" She asked. She was the smallest of the group. As a woman it was likely they would underestimate her. "I doubt they will allow us to really hurt each other." She pointed out. They were in what looked like an open area. It would be an alright spot for sparring. It wasn't huge but it was big enough they would have enough room to maneuver. Plus it was empty. Which meant that it was probably set up for sparring. "I doubt they will give us weapons for months. We're criminals. They aren't going to arm us until they think they control us."

Help Me Through the Night.

B enjoyed working at the hospital. She loved helping people. It was one of the few places she didn't feel out of place. She had always been awkward but working had help her gain some confidence. She enjoyed helping people. She made her way to the nurse's desk. She checked the assistant roster to see where she had been assigned today. She frowned when she saw that she was assigned to the ER. ER was an important area but she didn't feel as comfortable there as she did in other sections.

She made her way to the ER section of the hospital. As always it was busy. She quickly got an update from the nurse who was getting off while she logged into the computer. She looked over the current cases and tried to prioritize them. Some were easier than easier than others. Once she decided who would be seen when she waited for the doctor to indict that they were ready for a new patient.
