That's the problem. Roxy isn't much for small talk so it will be mostly her helping Jess unless Jess starts a conversation.

Sorry for the delay. Holidays have been kicking my ass. But I am caught up now. Do we want them to talk on the trip back to the shop or do you think that Jess would be too focused on trying to remember how to drive?

"Fine look around." The man said. He glared at them. Griffin nodded. They didn't need the man's permission to look around but having it helped.

"Put him down and help me look around for evidence." Griffin told Astro. They needed proof. That the shifter was here. The goo indicated something was here but without analysis they couldn't prove anything. He was sure the shifter was near. "This shifter is accused of taking a life. We can't allow it to continue to run free."

They didn't know if the shifter had killed the owner. Not all shifters did. Many of the law abiding ones hired themselves out as doubles. Just because the son suspect that a shifter had taken his father's place didn't mean anything illegal had occurred. The father could have hired the shifter without telling his son.

The explosion shook the city. Or at least the block around it. Debris went flying everywhere. Some of the pieces were bigger than others. It would take some time to get it all cleaned up. Luckily this late at night there weren't many people out so no one was seriously hurt. But those would be looked for by the city guards. The fire burned brightly casting shadows everywhere. One on the roof tops seemed to move on its own.

@LightningMaiden That's what I thought. My question is why. They aren't going after a dragon. There aren't any dragon agents that your character would know of.

@Shadow Dragonyep. Free doesn't mean not expectations. I have rules. There on the first pages. I've had the same rules for 5 years. It's hard to build off of posts that don't have at least three sentences and three sentences isn't that much to ask.
