Antoinette blushed when Carolina congratulated and hugged her on her potential movie date with Lance. She was really excited for it. While Dean added root beer to his float, Antoinette decided to add orange soda to hers. She watched the liquid settle over the ice cream and let it melt a bit before eating. Anything she had seen in the fridge for additional food would have to be prepared and Antoinette wasn’t in the mood for that. No, something quick and easy was more her mood right now.
She climbed onto the counter beside Carolina and ate her float beside her friend.
”Well if they disbanded the group then something serious must be going on for them to all be in the same place again after so long,” she concluded.
Carolina then brought up the idea of her coming along to the movie as well. She glanced at Dean, knowing she had a bit of a thing for him and nodded.
”Let me ask.” She set her float aside before grabbing her phone and sent another message to Lance, telling him that Carolina would like to come along and bring Dean.
I wasn’t sure what your thoughts on a group date would be so I thought I would ask… I don’t mind it being just us either. She added in the last bit at the last minute, feeling it would be the best thing to do encase Lance preferred it that way. She knew how he felt about crowds and she wasn’t completely sure how he felt about Dean and all his, Deanness.

While Arya spoke to him, Klara’s words filtered in and out of his head. Give her time, be there for her, don’t push her… Cuyler couldn’t mask the pain from his face though when she turned him down. He wasn’t entirely sure how to describe how he was feeling at the moment but it wasn’t good. It was breaking, slicing.
It wasn’t so much what she said, it was how she said it. She didn’t have time for him. Rowland’s passive words didn’t help to sway his thoughts, he was already tipped over the edge.
Cuyler looked up at Arya, his blue eyes swimming, bluer than blue as he looked at Arya. His Arya.
Later… Private… I don’t have time for you, no one can know of this. Of us. Cuyler shook his head, sniffed and scrubbed his face in order to abate the pain.
”No, I don’t think I will be available after the ceremony.” He looked at Ayra, finally finding his resolve. Things were shifting, changing.
”I will always support you Arya, in everything that you do. I understand you feel the weight of the Castle on your shoulders and that you must solve this problem and I never thought I would require this from you but, I can’t be placed second anymore.” His words were true. Cuyler was content following after Arya, listening and waiting, being there to catch or raise her up but when Cuyler needed her support the most, she was gone. She was holed up in the library, talking to him as if he were a colleague and not a lover.
”I’m no longer a simple son of a Northern Trader but a son of a Asgardian with powers to control the tide at my fingertips if I wish. I need to understand what this means and take the opportunity to learn while it is presented to me.”
To think, earlier this day they were on the 21st Floor in Wizard’s Tower, talking of things they would do in private together.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Boat Launch
Skills:

Amarantha remained along the perimeter of the Palace boat launch. She moved around more than the two stationary guards did but she still heard everything the siblings said. When they first hugged, Amarantha stopped and watched Myrus carefully. Nothing occurred but she still had to be on her guard. She smiled to herself with their conversation and how the two of them seemed to grow closer in this moment. United in their desire to find their own way in this messed up world.
Amarantha watched the Messenger Rat scurry over to Luna to relay its message. Amarantha rolled her eyes at discovering it was from Prince Tristan. Honestly, the woman should just slap him around a few, see if he still sticks around after that. He was more annoying then the flying bugs during the heat of summer. After the rat took Luna’s reply away, Amarantha stepped forward.
”My apologies,” Amarantha interrupted and bowed. ”The wedding is almost upon us and I wanted to introduce you to your personal guard Prince Mryus. This is Lennox Bennett. He goes where you go, no matter what I am afraid. He’s been briefed on the occurrences of today and has assured me he is up for the challenge.” In all honesty, Lennox didn’t even say if he was okay with being strapped to the Prince or not, Amarantha didn’t exactly give him the option. ”He’s been part of the Palace Guard for a few years and comes from a line of nobles within the Castle. I think he’ll be a good fit,” she said with a smile.
Lennox walked over and bowed respectfully to his new charge. He didn’t say much. Never did really.

Between the three of them, the crowd seemed to calm some. Ahote relaxed a bit as a swirl of colours moved over the crowd, attaching to a few people. There was understanding and awe within their faces. More so when Arnora used her powers and then Grimspound made a rather loud statement. Ahote was hoping to pacify the crowd with less excitement but the dragon seemed to instill fear into the crowd. Fear was a powerful motivator but it could also a dangerous one.
Dragons weren’t exactly, native to The True North. When Ahote was gathered up, he panicked a moment but Arnora seemed quite relaxed, while the Wizard had completely passed out. Ahote looked down at the terrified crowd. The next several hours would be rather interesting in this place.

They entered the kitchen together and everyone seemed much better in the less cramped area. The kitchen was fairly big, lots of room to roam which was made better with there only being a few of them there. Antoinette helped Dean get the glasses ready and pulled out several different kinds of pop so they could add whatever they wanted to their ice cream
”Three scoops please Dean,” Antoinette said happily.
She moved back to go sit on the other side of Carolina when her phone buzzed. Strange. The only one whoever texted her was Carolina and that was rare since they were always together. She pulled out her phone and simply leaned against the counter to read over the message. Thankfully when she got to the mansion, Guin set her up with a laptop and a cell phone since Antoinette had misplaced most of her possessions. As soon as Antoinette saw who had texted her she paused, blinked several times and looked it over again. Yes, that was definitely Lance’s number. She didn’t even think she had Lance’s number… Guin must of programmed everyone who had a number into her phone. She beamed as she read his request to watch the newest Wonder Woman movie together sometime. Antoinette loved wonder woman.
Of course! When would you like to go? Antoinette’s schedule was pretty well free all the time. She was just doing the set pieces but there was still time before that play started.
She slid her phone back into her pocket so if he texted again, she would be able to reply right away. She wondered if anyone else would be coming with them. Was that a question she should ask him? Antoinette had a slight crush on the son of Bruce Banner but everyone had a crush on someone here.
Carolina and Dean’s voice came back to her head and she refocused on the room. It seemed no one knew about Ayita. Perhaps Antoinette would talk to her later. Make sure everything was on the up and up. Conversation came up about the old X-Men returning.
”Perhaps Professor Xavier has some sort of special task for them? They are still involved aren’t they?” she asked them. Antoinette walked back over to the fridge, opening it up and looked for something more sustainable than just ice cream floats to eat.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Medical Tent near the Training Grounds -- Camp Half-Blood

What a long ass day this was already turning out to be. Ezekiel had pulled on his headphones over an hour ago now. As usual, training started bright and early at Camp Half-Blood. Even though summer camp officially started just a few days ago. With all the new kids it seemed Ezekiel hadn’t stopped healing all the young idiots. Honestly, he wasn’t this bad when he first got here… Right? Ya, no, he was good. He smirked as memories from his first couple of weeks flooded his head. There were some of the hardest lessons of his life and he had to grow up quickly. They all did. He used his shoulder to wipe the sweat from his forehead as he worked on stitching up one of those new kids. He got a wicked slash to the leg the other day and waited nearly twenty-four hours before coming to one of the tents they had set up by the training grounds. Easy access rather than trekking all the way to the Big Blue House. The dumb kid’s leg was already infected, it took a fair amount of time to clean and repair the wound before Ezekiel could get to this point. Sure, he could have healed it completely, not leaving a scar but where would the lesson be? The scar would be a reminder to the dumbass to not be dumb.
After the kid was stitched up, he gave the kid some Nectar, smiling and nodding at him that he could go. Once the kid left, no longer limping, he collapsed into one of those camp folding chairs. He grabbed his water and drained the whole thing before shutting his eyes for a few minutes. Despite his inner commentary, Ezekiel loved his job. Loved the healing he could do thanks to his father Apollo. He had found his calling here and rose to every challenge that was presented to him. He lived for it.
As Ezekiel dozed in and out he thought of the recent prophecy. Rosie, the all knowing, always had interesting ones for the campers here. He wondered if there was some selection process. He pictured the Gods on Olympus, sitting at a round table picking out random pieces of paper, making little airplanes and sending them around the world to specific people. He snorted. Ya right.
"Upon the day a child is born after a great battle…” What defines a great battle, really?
“A world of darkness shall bring all of the gods to their knees….” Seriously? They have night lights on Amazon…
“An act shall bring the rise of four empires together…” Four empires? Well at least this bit was intriguing.
“And a random act shall usher forth the restoration of balance, or destroy it all.” A random act of kindness perhaps? Tough luck.
Honestly, he hardly payed attention to it. He would never be selected. No, that ‘honor’ went to one of the kids of the big three. It was utterly pathetic. The rest would never have a chance to prove themselves. Ezekiel worked on kid after kid who tried proving themselves to the children of the big three and got their demigod asses handed to them. Every. Single. Time.
What was the honest to goodness point?

The kittens were absolutely precious. There was a childlike wonder to each of them but a feral being to protect and scheme just underneath the surface of that. They were fascinating creatures and Antoinette just wanted to pet and speak to everyone of them. How else would you discover each and every personality they had? Vaguely she heard of who had arrived on this jet while she had been preoccupied downstairs but she was still too busy with cats.
She only came back to being in the room when she heard a large amount of giggling and a shift in the atmosphere. She looked up to see the man she was slightly terrified of covered in glitter. Antoinette’s eyes widened and she couldn’t help a giggle of her own which she quickly covered by standing up and faking a sneeze. She had to admit, the multi-colour of the glitter was quite becoming on Richard.
The children were up hiding near the ceiling and she looked up at them, cocking her head to the side and shook her head. Smart to be hiding up there but thankfully Marygold told them to get down and then leave. They were kids being kids but there were only certain people who found such things a joke and Richard was not one of those people. No matter how hard you tried. Antoinette had a feeling the man could only handle so much before lashing out.
Something happened though that drained Antoinette of all her intuition power that would detect the rising hostilities and any ill intent one might have toward another. One of the cats returned to human form. Anotinette gasped as Ayita now stood before them all. Without any understanding, Antoinette grinned and waved at Ayita.
”Absolutely beautiful Ayita!” she complimented. Her friend however, was intent on something else and grabbed a hold of Marygold. Antoinette looked alarmed and looked over at Carolina, who was now urging them to leave, as Dean had done prior but Antoinette hadn’t heard or simply ignored him and the hungry her body was still feeling. She nodded and left on her own feet with Carolina and Dean.
”Why do you suppose Ayita lashed out so badly?” she asked Carolina as they walked. She hadn’t heard Shelly’s statement or Allison’s rebuttal as she had been too preoccupied with cats and then Ayita who shifted in front of her.

Cuyler looked at the other people in the room. This just became increasingly hard, not to mention the obvious urine smell coming from Cuyler. He sighed and looked at them apologetic.
”There was an incident with a child and needing to use the washroom immediately. I would have gone to wash but…” He fell off as he looked directly at Arya. ”I wanted to say sorry for… everything earlier.” Honestly, where did he even start?
He looked at Queen Valda and bowed respectively. He was certain he should have done that as soon as he walked in the room but well, his priorities were elsewhere. Not in being a proper gentleman. He looked over at Rowland and smiled at him.
”Good to see you again Rowland.” It had been some time since Cuyler had seen the old Wizard. He wondered where he had drifted off too. He looked back at Arya and shoved his hands into his pockets. He was still very much young compared to not only Arya’s age but her maturity and knowledge as well.

Amarantha

Finally, after traipsing through the hallways yet again after delivering a little boy to his playmate, Amarantha and Lennox made it out to the Palace Boat Launch. There was also this little matter of falling over seemingly nothing and hitting the ground, hard. Amarantha sprung up quickly though, her face undamaged and looked over at Lennox. There was minor twinkle in his eyes but he said nothing, which was wise of him. Amarantha merely leveled him with a look that forbade him to tell anyone even on pain of death.
Stepping outside into the brilliant sun, Amarantha noted Prince Mryus and his sister speaking closely and she nodded to Lennox to fan out and guard the royals. Titan was on the other side of the door, observing something in the distance before his eyes roved again. He quickly acknowledged Amarantha’s presence but remained focused. She smiled, pleased he was taking this seriously.
Amarantha took up position as well, remaining present to give even more protection to the royals conversing. She also slipped off her shoes, deciding they were the culprits from earlier. She hooked her fingers into them and crossed her arms, looking all around them and listened to every single sound in the area, daring even a bird to get to close to the royals so she could take it out.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: Snake Slipway

Surprisingly, both Arnora and Grimspound followed him to the site of commotion. They had after all just met but he knew there was a reckless, adventurous side within Grimspound that he wouldn’t be able to ignore. Arnora coming along was a blessing as well. If things got out of hand, it would be nice to have another backup.
The wedding was the furthest thing from Ahote’s mind as Grimspound got the crowd riled up again and they started throwing rocks. He rolled his eyes, exasperated and stepped up just as Arnora did as well. Ahote reached out and grabbed onto one of the assailants arms.
”I think that is enough,” he said. His voice remained level but there was still an authority to it. He wasn’t from this land but he was able to pick up on the basics of their language and speak it. He still had his heavy accent but his meaning would be made clear with his actions even if they couldn’t understand him. ”This violence, death, will not end your Sickenesse as you call it. Why kill when you can research what the cause is. You want to make a difference, do that.” He dropped the man’s arm and took a step back. He looked around the crowd now, addressing them all.
”This Magyk you use here, that is not the Sickenesse it is not the problem. If you allow it, it can be a rather beautiful thing,” he said and glanced over at Arnora, remembering her ice from earlier. Magyk is not the disease, this Sickenesse is.” He spoke with passion in his voice. Ahote wasn’t expecting everyone to roll over but even a few could sway the many.

Cuyler Eysteinsson & Amarantha

Location: The Hefring ---> The Palace Hallways ---> The Palace Library
Skills:

Freshly shaved, showered and dressed, Cuyler hopped off the deck of the Hefring and landed on the dock below with a loud thud. He breathed in the air around him, feeling invigorated and headed into the Castle. Thia trotted along beside him, her eyes looking over to the horizon every few seconds. The hour before sunset she was always anxious. The change bristled around her and she would grow easily agitated as well.
Cuyler remained in high spirits as he neared the Palace. He hoped Arya was still inside. He felt changed and there was only more change to come for the Northern Trader and son of Klara. He was truly going to try and heed Klara’s words in regards to listening to Arya and being accomodating to her and what she needed out of this relationship but there were things Cuyler needed as well. Support for one. He could understand her caution, it was warranted with her position and personality but he still dreamed of some support from his girlfriend.
Cuyler reached the front doors to the Palace and looked over at Thia.
”Du kjenner boret,” he told her. ”Jeg skal finne deg etter bryllupet,” he said. Cuyler looked back at the doors, smoothed out his shirt and stepped forward. The guards didn’t hesitate to let Cuyler in. One even smiled and handed him a piece of candy! Bewildered, Cuyler slipped the candy into his pocket before he headed in.
”Could you tell me where the library is?” he asked them, turning back to look at the guards but they were too busy eating candy and throwing it at each other, trying to get it into the others mouth. Shaking his head, he looked around the vast building that was the Palace and started in some random direction, hoping he would come upon the library.
No such luck was on Cuyler’s side as he ends up going the wrong way and happens upon a tiny girl with toy wings on. She has a ribbon with her and starts running in circles around him.
"Hey, hey listen! Hey what are you doing? Why aren't you listening to me? Listen, listen!" The ribbon wraps around Cuyler’s legs and causes him to trip and she laughs at him. "Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids.”
Cuyler stares up at the ceiling before he hoists himself up onto his elbows and looks at the small child.
”Tell you what. I will listen to whatever you have to say, only if you help me? Deal?”
The little girl, better know at Navi looked at him and nodded, before giggling and she started to squirm. "I gotta go potty!"
Cuyler’s eyes widened before he shifted and untangled the ribbon from around his ankles and stood.
”Oh, okay… Do you know where the… potty is?” he asked awkwardly.
Navi nodded, giggling. "But do YOU know where it is, Silly Rabbit? Do ya do ya do ya.? Hey why are you here? You don't look like you're from the Castle? Are you evil? Are you from the Snow Palace? Are ya? Hey why aren't ya listening to me?!"
Cuyler looked at her in disbelief, chuckling and shaking his head. He suddenly missed his sister, terribly so.
”No I’m afraid I don’t. I don’t even know where the library is… I’m from the Land of Lost Nights. And I am listening. I just can’t talk as fast as you,” he said smiling at her.
"So you're an idiot!" the little girl screamed, before she peed her pants. Poor Cuyler ended up getting caught by the pee puddle. He frowned as well, not from her mess really but more from her abrasiveness.
”Let’s go get you cleaned up okay?” Cuyler said and looked around for a female servant of some kind.
"Hey why aren't you listening to meeeee?!" Navi screamed, as if she had asked him something. She started jumping up and down, causing the pee puddle to splash and hit Cuyler's ankles. There were a few female servants walking down the halls with fresh linens.
Cuyler took a step back to be prevented from getting hit more. Thankfully he was wearing boots that could easily be cleaned. He saw female servants with linens and waved them over.
”Sorry to disturb but we’ve had a bit of an accident. Would one of you mind taking her to the bathroom to get cleaned up? I can clean the mess here and you wouldn’t happen to know where the library is either would you?” he asked hopeful.
The servants looked at him for a moment. "Amarantha said we mustn't speak to strange men, Dot!" one hissed to the other and they scurried out of sight.
"Ha ha you're a loser!" Navi teased. "Amarantha can kick your butt! That's B U T T E!"
Cuyler sighed, exasperated now. If he knew this area better…
Amarantha and Lennox were making their way down the hallway when they came across an interesting sight. Amarantha sized up the man and noticed Navi. Or rather heard her. She was… a pain honestly but one of Amarantha’s biggest fans and who was she to deny a small girl. Especially when she wanted to grow up and be like Amarantha.
”Navi! Is this man intruding where he does not belong? Are you defending the Castle?” she questioned the small child with wings. She used the same voice she would have used with Navi’s parent or any of the other guards under Amarantha’s eyes.
"YEAH!" Navi screamed, beating her little fists now on Cuyler's knees. It was fortunate that she wasn't taller since otherwise it might have been somewhere else. "He peed his pants too and is totally GROSS! G-R-O-S-S-E! He's got the Sickenesse aaaand cooties! That's like double bad!"
Amarantha smirked, crossing her arms, completely content to watch the little one beat up Cuyler. She saw the puddle on the ground and noted Navi’s proximity to it. Ah well, the child was still learning.
”That’s my girl and it’s g-r-o-s-s Navi, no E at the end. Come here, you have done a fine job. Let’s let Lennox try his hand at him shall we?”
Cuyler meanwhile was starting to get a little anxious. He watched the new people and watched the man beside Amarantha walk over to him and eye him up and down a moment.
”I don’t have the Sickenesse,” he said panicked now. Amarantha merely laughed at him and took Navi’s hand.
”Don’t get my dress dirty. I’ve already had to change this once,” she said and bent down. ”He already peed himself once today,” he informed the girl with a grin in Cuyler’s direction. ”Go on to the infirmary Navi. There’s a girl named Lyra there, she’ll help you change and get ready for the wedding. I want you upfront with me understand? You have to look your best ya?”
"Oooh can I wear the blood of our enemies? PWETTY PWEEEEEASE?!" Navi did a little twirl. Amarantha smiled brilliantly at the little girl.
”Now Navi, this is a wedding. We must be at our best during this ceremony. Strength is important yes, but we mustn't frighten the guests. Although I do like where your head is at. Now go, time is wasting. Don’t make me ask twice.”
Navi listened obediently and took off. With the child gone Amarantha refocused her sharp eyes on Cuyler.
"You do know the wedding is not in the Palace? What are you doing here? Looking to soak your girlfriend again perhaps?" she questioned him.
Cuyler stood proudly. Things had changed for him in the last hour, he wasn't going to let him be bullied down.
"I was informed she was in the library. Merely looking for it and got lost." Amarantha eyed him closely. She remembered how he reacted to her keeping him from Arya, ignoring the water bit he seemed to be all about her.
Amarantha started walking and Cuyler quickly followed, realizing that this was his invitation to do so. Lennox remained half a step behind Cuyler, hand on the hilt of his sword, ready should the Land of Lost Nights native try anything.
"The Library," Amarantha stated a short distance after. "Do try not to soak this room ya? Lots of expensive books in there. Not to mention the Queen and ExtraOrdinary Wizard." She looked at the Queen's guards who stood vigilant outside the door. "Let him in but if you hear any signs of commotion, move in and contain the situation." She nodded at Lennox and they continued on with their journey.

Well that was, something he guessed. Of course the ride would have be incredibly helpful but of course Ezekiel knew that was not going to happen. He nodded at his father, a limited agreeance to his plan and his information. This was going to be hell on earth in Ezekiel’s position but he had been wanting to prove himself for a long time. What better way to prove himself than with a daughter of Athena watching his every move.
Chiron walked over to the group just after Apollo had disappeared back into the sky and seemingly the sun. Showoff. Ezekiel smirked at this. Father like son after all. Ezekiel turned and went back into the tent. May as well grab some medical supplies while they were all here.
”So five days to get to Texas, find Calliope… Not die and then come back. They sure don’t give you long for these things do they?” He wasn’t expecting an answer back, just speaking for the sake of.
”How about we meet back up at Hestia’s Hearth in an hour and formulate a game plan,” he suggested. Of course Chrion was here and now.
”Any suggestions on how to get a muse back from someone named Marsyas?” he asked. Any information on that guy would be helpful as well he supposed.

”Oh that would be wonderful Carolina! We can go down and see the sets after we eat maybe. I’m not sure I’ll be able to paint more. My hands started to cramp just as I finished,” she admitted to her friend. She moved from Carolina and looked at her hands, flexing and extending the wrists a few times, releasing the joints so they cracked a several times.
She dropped her arms and let them hang relaxed at her sides while the rest of the room started to fill with conversation.
Antoinette vaguely knew of the former X-Men, the ones who gave it their name, besides Xavier of course. She didn’t know much of them other than what the news had portrayed, which you could never believe. She was excited to meet them, even if she didn’t understand why they were here.
Two fairy looking children walked or rather, flew into the room and started fluttering around Richard and accusing him of all sorts of things. Antoinette’s eyes widened and she glanced at Carolina before looking back at Richard for his reaction. The man never took kindly to that kind of attitude shown to him. No matter rank or age and when it seemed to be Ayita at the center of discord, well… Antoinette loved Ayita. She enjoyed whenever she got to talk or work with her and Antoinette had a habit of searching and finding her while she was in one of her various animal forms to sketch her out for a painting later.
Dean’s words were not helping matters. If it were any other person, Antoinette would wait to hear their statement to Dean’s question. He did come up with the most interesting observations.
”Oh Dean, what about those ice cream floats? I am so looking forward to those,” she said. Cats came crashing into the room and she instantly became distracted by them.
”Oh! I wish we could have pets Carolina!”
