Cuyler couldn’t help the brilliant smile that crossed his face. He had always thought he was the only one who had survived. Years and years of roaming alone led him to that conclusion. He looked her over, needing to confirm it was her. Her eyes were the same, facial expressions all in tact but her beauty and that belly was most definitely not her. How far they both had come.
”For years I thought I was the only one left and yet here you stand, destined to marry one of the four and carrying his child!” He shook his head in astonishment. He would have liked to hug her but the belly was a bigger obstruction than one would think.
Halley’s voice went up and Cuyler turned his head back to listen to her taunt him. All he did was offer help, which apparently coming from someone who was less than her was a laughable manner. Cuyler was not a child and did not appreciate being treated as such and did not want to stand by while others fought his battles. Perhaps he shared that in common with Ravyndra, who had been the one to tame the Hulk.
Both he and her had been helpless when their village was ransacked and destroyed beyond repair. They would not be helpless no more. Cuyler’s hands shook as he watched Halley smirk before walking away. He turned back to Myth, a confusing combination of joy and anger working its way through his body as questions filled his head on where she had been all these years when an unmissable puddle formed under her. It seemed her water had broke. All questions flew from his head as he simply stared. Childbirth was not something taught to the men of his land.

The royal family of the Castle was an infuriating one. Some people thought bravery was an admirable thing. One to cherish and be proud of having but it was stupidity in its purest form in Amarantha’s opinion. Still, she was also in a position to protect and be subservient. At least in public.
Lennox came back with clothes in tow but the big green man was now covered. Once he handed the clothing over to the man, he returned to his former position where Amarantha nodded at him and Titan who fell into step behind the royals, rather than in front of.
”Merely a precaution. In past experience, the initial wave of fighting is never the only,” she said. She took the sword back from Titan before she turned to take in the whole of the room again.
She met Luna’s eyes for the briefest of moments. She had a feeling her friend would rather leave this place but Luna was loyal and loved her family. She wouldn’t leave them if they didn’t leave. Luna moved around and approached Antonije who was holding a puppy who wasn’t supposed to be. Amused, Amarantha watched as Valda approached to offer assistance that Luna already volunteered her for. Amarantha had taken a step forward to express caution, the
Sickenesse after all but Valada already cast her spell and Sylvi stood in front of them once again. The Queen seemed stable, better even than she had at the beginning of the day. Amarantha turned her head, curious as to what had happened to suddenly make the apparent
Sickenesse disappear.
”If you drop dead on me, I will not be held responsible,” she said but was smiling. If one thing was going to go right today, let it be the sudden eradication of the
Sickenesse.
Amarantha looked about the room, searching out the
ExtraOrdinary Wizard who she for sure thought would come out of the shadows announcing she had done it, found the cure and dispatched the
Darkeness but when her eyes reached the doors to see the Floor, shining its brilliantly boring words, her thoughts faltered. There was no time for morning though, for the bride-to-be’s water had just broken. Oddly, Amarantha’s mind shifted to Dawn and the unique circumstances she had been born into.

Talking was difficult for Ahote and at this point it was taking everything in him just to remain breathing.
”Fight….angry...thrown.” Was all he managed to speak to the pair who had come upon him. He would be able to tell them exactly what happened though after the girl healed him by the works of some healing clock. Ahote didn’t take the time to dwell as he felt the power of her and his finish healing him whole. He took a moment before he shifted and stood on his feet. His body popped and cracked in response but it was all with relief and he sighed gratefully.
”Thank-you,” he expressed with a brilliant smile. He looked at his wolf companion who had moved off a few feet and simply watched them before her ears twitched and she looked back up at the top of the tower where the Ahote sized hole was. Ahote looked back at his new companions.
”There was a fight within the tower. Someone named Chthon, lord of Chaos I believe they said, attacked and a few new and old companions of mine were trying to stop him.” There was another loud crash and they all looked up to see another man being thrown from the building much in the same way Ahote had been. He saw that it was Grimspound and moved to get ready to catch his friend when his rate of descent slowed rapidly but not enough to spare him from some injury when he hit the ground. Ahote looked at him with a slight chuckle.
”You should have waited for me to return to tell you that flying, is not everything it is cracked up to be,” he joked. He walked over and looked down at Grimspound as he relayed his tale.
”I suggest you choose your words carefully from now on.”
